Service at the Cache Creek, B.C. location
To whom it may concern:
On Monday August 08, 2022, my family and I entered the Cache Creek Dairy Queen. We had been travelling for several hours and it was a very hot day and we felt the need for cold refreshment. Upon entering the restaurant, we scanned the menu for choices and waited for the counter to clear. When we stepped up to the counter, we were not served right away and I can understand it being busy on a hot day. This is when a lady staff member told us to "step back, away from the counter." We did, we stepped back a step but were a little confused as to placing our order. It was about 25 seconds later when the same staff member who had be staring at us, stated in a raised voice, "You people have to get the heck away from here." At the same time, there was a circular motion with both arms directing us to the wall/door. This is when I said tot he person, "We will go and place an order somewhere else." This was met with a shrug. My spouse is of Philippine descent and our daughter looks similar. I am hoping this had nothing to do with her actions.
My family and I quite enjoy the many choices offered at your restaurant chain. Living in a remote part of Canada, we do not have the choice of a local Dairy Queen, so when we are travelling, Dairy Queen is a frequent choice for us. Until this incident, we have always been happy with the customer service in the many sites visited.
We contemplated this complaint while eating at the Cache Creek A&W and decided to see what another DQ Manager would think. We stopped at the Terrace Franchise and discussed our complaint with the Manager Raj. He was very polite and insisted that any type of negative actions by staff is against company policy. He went on to apologize on behalf of Dairy Queen.
In conclusion, I feel that Dairy Queen should be notified of the actions of the employee but there is no further action required. I thank Raj and the Senior management of Dairy Queen for the apology to myself and family.

Hi, I was at my local DQ yesterday (8/12/22) I am a frequent flyer there as it is a favorite with both my children. OK. Lets start with a "side complaint" first they hand me my small shake, ok cool except they had me waiting so long my shake is practically liquid which I didn't notice until I got home (less than 3 minutes away) Why it took so long I cannot fathom as my rings nor fries were especially fresh. So back to the window, I finally get my food and peak inside to make sure it is all there and notice my onion rings I ordered large that day to satisfy multiple people are seemingly lighter and upon shaking not even filling the whole container. So I look in and wave at the drive through kid to let him know it looks "small" he gives me a half grin and says "Oh, I'm sorry. Have a nice day" not even going to acknowledge the fact that it was shorted. As a regular customer I would never start trouble or try to get freebies. So slightly fuming but not pressing it I head home. I get home and weigh the container on my kitchen scales. It weighed 97 grams, according to the carb counting website a Regular onion ring should weigh 113 grams, and I ordered a large. So as the mom I decided not to have any and split them between my kids. Going back and complaining immediately despite my proximity to the restaurant was out of the question. I have a hungry family to feed and I was not going to disrupt their day with being grumpy about it, they are young an innocent and simply hungry when I come home with food. No establishment run by mostly teenagers is without the occasional error, we mostly just deal and return as I understand we are all human. They often give me small tenders, we deal. Soggy fries, ok the toddler doesn't mind. forgotten ranch for my son, alright we have some in the fridge although not the same. I don't complain much, but the snarky "as if" attitude of the employee when I mention it immediately before I even drive off and having to forgo my own portion were top popped when I put my milkshake on the counter and it looks like sloppy milk. I am supremely disappointed and will likely not be returning for some time unless it is made right. I did not receive a receipt either so I am including the email & phone number linked to my account that should verify I was there yesterday, as they are different than the ones I respond to and entered in the form. I also have screenshots of my food, and bank transaction of my total 18.37 after using an app coupon for my small shake. The format of my screen shots is not supported but I would gladly put them in a return email upon request, of the food weight, bank transaction and website information about the weight the regular size is supposed to be.
Desired outcome: Replacement LARGE would be nice, but being treated like a good customer where I am a regular would be better. I am not some punk trying to get freebies, I am a mom trying to treat my family without overspending in these trying times.

Drive-thru menu price for regular rotisserie chicken bites listed for $6.39. I bought 2 of them. At the drive-thru window the price was quoted for $8.39. When I questioned the attendant on the price difference she convinced me I looked at the sign wrong, so I reluctantly paid the $8.39. I drove back around to re-check the drive-thru menu price and it was listed for $6.39. When I went in and told, what I assume was the manager on duty, about the price difference, she thanked me for bringing it to her attention, but refused to adjust the price or offer any other compensation for the false advertising. Three times I said she could make it right if she wanted to and three times she said she could not. The only thing she was willing to do is give the money back. With family in the car that was looking forward to eating, I kept the product. I understand inflation has increased and paying $8.39 might be the going price for 6 little bites of chicken, a piece of bread, and a handful of french fries, but at least do not mistreat your customers when you were the one who false advertised. I ended up paying $4.40 more then excepted, 10 minutes longer than expected, and treated worse than expected. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Cherry Blizzard
I have been a loyal DQ customer for 75 years. When I lived in Florida I would drive 20 miles to the only DQ in the area. My favorite treat is large DQ dip cone.
Today I went to the DQ in Willis, Tx and ordered a Medium Cherry Blizzard.
It was terrible. It had no cherries and only a plastic cherry tasting substances that tasted like plastic. I ate half of it and threw the rest out.
I live close by and frequent this store and have noticed the quality going downhill ever since they opened.
There is a Sonic close by and I have been going there since the quality of treats at DQ has been bad.
I am a lifelong DQ customer. I hope you can restore the quality you have had in the past

Rude disrespectful employees
August snd went to the Ashland Oh 44805 DQ I'm visually impaired so I was paying attention to the menu that cashier I guess she was saying can I help u it was noisy loud I didn't hear her say it a couple times she threw her hands up furiously telling can I help u making me feel little always rude every time and she blew her nose and reached for my debit card I walked out

Walking my leashed dog and employee's dog went after my dog that was unleashed
I was walking my leashed dog in Topsham, Maine. And we went through the parking lot and this female employee opened up her truck door and one of her dogs came at my dog and at me off leash. The woman claimed that the Dairy Queen parking lot was private property and why was I letting my dog as she stated "[censored]" in her yard. If you look on the cameras on 8/4/2022 between 9:00pm-9:20pm you can clearly see my dog is not doing her business on the property and was sniffing around. The woman continued to yell at me that my dog was [censored]ting in her private property yard and that she owned the building.
As many dog walkers walk their dogs around on this property every day and the fact that her dog charged and went straight for my dog (thank god there were no injuries) I want to file a complaint with this woman as she had zero control of her dog which Maine is a leash law state and I did.
Sundae
I ordered 2 large hot fudge sundaes, at Carmel topping and got the smallest sundae I've ever seen. Smaller then your normal small. I questioned the size they told me it was because it was melted. There was maybe a tablespoon of each topping.

I purchased a medium Reese's peanut butter cup Blizzard, from the Dairy Queen in La Crosse, WI, on Mormon Coulee Road, on Thursday July 14, 2022. It's $6.00, and I was given a cup that was one fourth empty. It was around 700, or 730. I was not offered, or given a receipt.
Desired outcome: A free replacement Blizzard. Look at picture below from the side view, to see how empty I received it.
This location should come up to the DQ quality I'm used to in other locations.
I have frequented DQ franchises in Kansas Colorado Oklahoma for over 40 yrs. With no complaint or issues. On June 29th I placed an order for a bday cake for my daughter. She was looking forward to her ice cream cake. I was told I could pick it up on July 1 st at 2:00 pm. I arrived a little after 2. There were 2 managers, and more than 5 employees as well. When I arrived, 4 different employees went to the back and they all were gone for a good 10 minutes. I was waiting for someone to tell me what was going on. Nobody was telling me anything , yet all 5 or more employees were just standing around like hanging out. When I finally got my cake it looked terrible. This was the worst service I will never go back to DQ. Location is Cornelia GA.
Desired outcome: I paid $30 for a terrible cake and horrible service. A refund would be great but it’s up to you on the outcome.
Sharp Metal object in Hamburger
We ordered 4 hamburgers and 1 blizzard from DAIRY QUEEN on Stone Church road, Hamilton, Ontario (via Skip the Dishes).
The order was placed on Tuesday June 28, 2022 at 6:09 p.m. Order number [protected].
My son was eating the hamburger and bit on something that hurt his mouth / teeth.
He pulled out a thin sharp black metal object in the shape of a L.
This object was very sharp on both ends (like a needle).
I tried to call Dairy Queen on Stone Church road, Hamilton more than 20 times but no one answered.
Their voice mail was full so I could not leave a message.
I also left messages at the Burlington head office.
I also left several written complaints.
They also do not respond.
No one at Dairy Queen seems to be taking this seriously as they don't get back to us.
If my son had swallowed this sharp metal, it could have caused great injury or killed him.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET SOMEONE TO RESPOND?
Desired outcome: We would like a refund and apology.We are also considering a police complaint and lawyer to compensate for damaged teeth, mouth, etc.

On 6-7-2022, Stopped at MtCarroll Illinois DQ. This was at 8:05 pm. Thru the drive up. Communication was terrible. I swear she was speaking spanish which i dont, Had to tell the order taker i could not understand her several times. Finally her speach got better. I ordered 2 plain hamburgers, fries and 2 icecream cones. She then informed us we couldnt have fries because the frier was off already. this took way too long to get to the point where I thought we both understood each other. I understood I was getting 2 plain hamburgers, and 2 cones. When we got to the window she said did you have the 2 cheesburgers? I said no we had 2 plain hamburgers. She said thats what we call plain hamburgers. When i opened the sack some miles down the road cause we ate the ice cream first there was a surprise. In the sack was the french fries she said we couldnt get. Also our PLAIN hamburgers i had to tell her 3 times i wanted were cheese burgers! And another surprise, there in the wrapper with my unwanted cheese burger was a plastic bread wrapper tie. it was in the wrapper with my burger! And the burgers were terrible. We couldnt even eat them. we thru them away. I am 66 years old. Ive been eating at this DQ as long as it has been there. I also eat at 4 other DQs in my area from time to time. I have never anywhere had food and service this terrible. It took over 25 minutes to get thru this drive thru. Way too long! And she DID NOT give me a receipt either. The bill was just under $16. I wanted to take a photo of it or at least get some info off of it but we did not get one. If I ever go back there and hear that voice again I will drive thru and leave.

We have missing items most every time and stuff in my shake

Ever since your menu changed we won't eat here anymore. Why is there no single burgers? But double and TRIPPLE, there are far more people who want a single that 3 patties. This is crazy, how many women and children are eating 2 and 3 patties. It seem geared towards men and a bunch of meat... where the lettuce, tomato, it's not all about beef and bacon...
Then you got rid of the Ultimate burger, the icon burger of DQ, gone altogether and nothing even close to replace it. I don't understand the changes, they don't make sense and I am very disappointed to never be going back, it used to be my favorite place.
Did anyone try to see what the customers wanted before making these changes because i haven't talked to anyone yet that thinks the changes are good.

My husband took me out for a Dairy Queen after a motorcycle ride for Mother’s Day today May 8th, 2022. We ordered two Banana Splits. When the banana splits came to us we were very disappointed at what was served to us. What was served to us was not what we expected. We got three what looked like a tablespoon of liquid ice cream, mostly all juice, the banana was 1/2 of a 1/2 quarter banana. The split looked like a bowl of soup. I took a photo of it. I told the young girl where’s the ice cream. She just looked at us and walked away.
This was really disappointing to us for the price we paid $14.22 and the response to my question I find very very rude. Here is the photo of our banana split. I understand the prices are rising but at least they could have made it appetizing. And I thought we were going to get a banana split not soup ice cream. We were there May 8th, at 6:30:48pm our order# was 240. Receip# [protected].

ordered 2 Cheesy steak finger bskt, 4 piece w/ ranch & a reg 6 piece steak finger basket.They handed the bag with 6 piece regular steak finger basket & 2 sandwiches.Explained we wanted 4 piece cheesy steak finger baskets. I even pointed it out on a display near the register, and the cook could see it too. Got the replacement order, it appeared to be correct at first glance, Got home & found still wrong. We got 2 - 4 piece regular steak finger baskets with gravy.
Desired outcome: I would like to have what I actually ordered for my husband and myself. Perhaps a coupon or certificate for same.
Dairy Queen at West Ave and Blanco in San Antonio has the worst customer service and is very deceitful
I went to the Dairy Queen down the street from my house because I had bought a gift certificate that I had purchased for a friend for her bday (she loves ice cream). The friend I gave it to, returned it to me and told me that they would never go to Dairy Queen again because of their past experience with them and informed me that it wasn’t pleasant. I gave him cash instead and figured that I would try the gift certificate myself on the “upside down blizzard” that everyone had talked about. I got there and decided to go thru the drive thru, ordered two blizzards and two hunger busters. Come to find out, they wouldn’t honor the gift certificate because of a new register (so basically, the cash I had spent on the certificate meant nothing). I told them that they would need to cancel the order and I would have just the blizzard, because I didn’t bring enough cash to pay for the order. Because I had the certificate I had bought previously I figured it was as good as the cash I spent on the certificate. They prepared my blizzard which took about 20 min, the handed it to me. I asked the worker at the window, “shouldn’t I get it for free, since u didn’t turn it upside down?”. She basically told me that she didn’t have to go that, “they only did that if they wanted to”. So I then questioned the motto and she said she knew nothing about it. The next day, I called to talk to a manager and got a young man by the name of “Johnny”. Johnny gave me a number to a customer complaint line [protected], and this number just gives me a fast busy signal. He also wasn’t familiar with the “turning the blizzard upside down, or about the new systems with the gift certificates. Personally, I will NOT ever go to Dairy Queen again. The blizzard was amazing, but I refuse to support a chain of restaurants that has such incompetent, unprofessional and disorganized staff supporting everything I have ever known them for. To me, this is deceiving, I feel as if I was betrayed and robbed.
Desired outcome: I think someone should make this right and, for Dairy Queen stand behind their mottos and productivity.
