I was lured off dating.com to WhatsApp to be scammed for money. A popular member Maria 44 years old told me that she was catching a flight to come and see me. I gave her my phone number which I shouldn’t have done. She told me I was the only one for her. She contacted me on WhatsApp the next day and said she was in Colombia and she said she is from Venezuela. She informed me on WhatsApp that she missed her flight. She claimed to need $134 dollars to be able to catch a new flight. I think it was $134. I don’t give money out to people I haven’t met. She contacted me until I told her I couldn’t give her any money. So be aware of Maria on dating.com. I have the screenshots to prove it.
Desired outcome: I won’t Maria removed from the platform

Dating.com did nothing about Maria using their platform to tell people she is coming to see them. I then gave her my phone number which she was the one to contact me early the next morning. Maria said she was in Colombia and missed her flight. Then she told me she had to pay for another flight. She said she needed $132 for another flight. So she was asking me for the money to get another flight. Never believe anything you are told on these platforms. Never under any circumstance give them your information. Don’t give anyone your personal information. I knew dating.com would not do anything and said it wasn’t on their platform that all of this happened. If you use these platforms be very careful because I have learned about scammers from using their platform. It has taught me a lesson. My next complaint will be the Federal Trade Commission. I have evidence for 2 years on their popular members lying and misleading information. They deserve a Grammy for their acting career. Because they will use your emotions and manipulate you to make money. Plus the ones I have talked to are models in real life. Plus they have girlfriends or are married in real life. Don’t waste your money or time on them. It’s all just a illusion. They send out messages from a bot all of the time to make you think they are interested in you. I will not let this go and I will continue until something is done. Don’t involve dating.com if you have a problem. They will do nothing about it.
Dating.com informed me today that they have removed Maria from the platform. I appreciate them doing that because I didn’t want her out there scamming others. They also gave me my credits back from communicating with her. I learned a lesson and that is never give out your phone number to anyone. Unless you are planning on meeting and you both are okay with it. I was surprised when Maria showed up on my WhatsApp after I gave her my phone number. She said she was on her way to meet me. I was freaking out because we had talked but not for too long before she said she was in Colombia on her way to my location. So dating.com really stepped up on this complaint and I appreciate it very much. I know there are scammers on every platform but just be vigilant and if you suspect anything send an email to support@dating.com.
