hotel days inn northlake in charlotte, nc
We booked this hotel online. The photos appeared like a nice place. Upon arrival the room was disgusting. It was dirty, the matresses were torn, there were no towels, the tv didn't work. We were charged the room fee + a pet fee. I was told that there were no refunds. This hotel is falling apart. Shingles missing. The lobby was filthy and cluttered with office supplies. The pool and restrooms were out of order. The front desk staff were dressed sloppily. No uniforms or name tags. They were very unprofessional. The manager contacted me only to say he's sorry and it's an older property. That is no excuse for filth. We didn't feel safe staying in this dump with our children and we left without staying the night. We drove to a new hotel under a different brand. We would appreciate a refund back for this stay, as it should be unacceptable for a hotel to issue such a room to a paying guest. My customer care case #3808944
the lack of cleanliness at the days inn at 2900 east van buren in phoenix, arizona
My friend and I checked in at the Days Inn in Phoenix, Arizona very late on February 27, 2017. We requested a room with 2 Queens/nonsmk/wifi (confirmation number [protected], account number [protected]) for one night only. We were assigned to a room on the upper level. We transported our bags from our rental vehicle and were required to carry said bags from parking lot up 2 flights of stairs to access the upper level. Once we arrived at our room we opened the door to find that the room had been sprayed with an excess of air freshener to the point we had to leave the door open to breathe properly. The curtains were disheveled with hooks missing so they did not cover window. The bathroom was not clean and the pillow cases were discoloured in the centre of pillows where, it was presumed, other heads had lain.
I threw pillows on the floor, as there was no way we were using them to put our heads on and my friend announced that, if we did use the room, she was not removing her clothes but would sleep not removing her clothes but would sleep fully clothed!
At that point we decided that it would be preferable to drive all night (approximately 3.5 hours) to arrive at our final destination, which was Yuma, rather than spend one night in that room.
We took our bags back down 2 flights of stairs to our rental vehicle, went to front desk and checked out.
We were shocked to find such a situation at one of your locations as we have stayed repeatedly in Days Inns in Canada and never had a complaint. We thoroughly enjoyed all previous stays in your facilities and felt obliged to forward our complaints with regard to this particular location in the hopes that you can avoid any further complaints in this regard.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
bad customer service/filthy room
On January 20, 2017 my husband and I reserved a room in the Days Inn, on Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the day before our cruise. This reservation was made 5 months ahead of time. We had high hopes for this vacation and had no clue that it would start out in a disgusting room. We first waited 1 1/2 hours at the airport for someone to come and pick us up to bring us to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, there were about 20 people just sitting around in the lobby waiting. We were put on a list along with everyone else that was there so that when the rooms were cleaned they would give that room to the next person on the list. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon. We were told that there were only 2 people cleaning all the rooms and we would have to wait. Finally at about 5:30 we were given a room and went up to the second floor across the courtyard. As soon as we opened the door, all you could smell was mold, mildew, and a dirty smell. The carpet was filthy, there was no refrigerator, or microwave. The furniture was old and worn and the TV was very tiny. You couldn't even turn it up much to hear it. We were afraid to walk around without shoes on. We left and went to find something to eat because there was nothing at the hotel. Finally we found something about 2-3 miles down the main road. When we got back to the hotel, we were tired and wanted to lay down. Upon pulling the covers down, we found a dead bee on the pillow and pubic hairs on the sheets. I called down to the office and they were to call me right back...never did. So I went down and complained to them about what I found and showed them the pictures I took. I told them I wanted the sheets changed and they told me that there was nothing that they could do. Housekeeping was gone for the day...could you imagine that? They did nothing...I asked them where I was supposed to sleep and they said it again that there was nothing they could do. I told them I wanted to talk to the manager and was told it would have to wait until the next day. We slept on the top of the bed in our clothes...nice way to start your vacation! While I was down there, I wasn't the only one complaining about things. There were a lot of unhappy guests at that hotel that day.
The manager the next morning listened to what I had to say, asked me what I wanted, and I told him I wanted a refund...he said he couldn't do that. I ended up with a little taken off of the bill, not enough for the disgusting room we had. He also never said that he was sorry for anything.
I will never go back to a Day's Inn again and I don't recommend it to anyone. Also, they charge you to use the safe in your room!

To whom it might concern,
Hello! My name is Mercedes Cantero and I had my good experience in beginning and worst in the next day.
When I check in front desk was I nice and friendly. He asks my I.D. and credit card and let sign check paper with the total amount of my stay, went the room #118 it was pretty small but it okay cause it and clean.
next day, at 10:30 Am Andrew was the front desk told him checks out at room #118. He said okay you check out already, I said that it, I need a receipt showing me that only one day of stay and signature that was charged on my credit card. (Andrew) said we don't even have information on your card, I said are you sure because when I check - in yesterday the front desk guy asks for my I.D. and credit card and I sign some papers. Andrew stated I need to call booking. com because of it 3rd party. they will e-mail you the receipt and show if they charged you one day or two days. we don't have control for that.
My phone was low battery and I don't have the phone number. So I ask him if I can use front desk phone so I can call booking.com to solve this issue. Andrew stated that the phone is can use to the front desk only not by the costumer. He said, "use your phone."
I decided to charged my phone in the hallway. I was able to speak to the booking.com and able to charged one day and they will call the front desk. Well, they call to the front desk and Andrew said he don't have authorities over ride it and I need to wait until Monday when his manager Sam comes back. Wich is impossible since I have to go back to work on Sunday and lives 4 hours away.
So booking.com call me they told me we can charge you one day but if they charged you two day is their decision. if you check out right now you might charge one day or two days. And its the hotel decision and Andrew has no authorities for that. I come back to front desk... I said okay to make this issue go away I'll just stay. But we have to leave since we have other engagement to attend. Andrew did give me few towels and told me the housekeeping just left. But it's only 11:00 am that time housekeeping left? I know he was just lying cause Their housekeeping cleaning room across our room, in the hallway, and even in front desk listen to our conversation
Well, I come back to my room its a mess garbage, wet towels, no toilet paper was not replaced and our bed was not even made and clean. instead of resting we have to clean up our room.
Thank You
comfort & breakfast
My daughter & I stayed at the Days Inn Canastota on Jan 7th. It was the worst hotel mattress that we ever slept in. I did not get a wink of sleep because it was so bad. The breakfast that was offered was also the worst we'd ever eaten, in fact we threw most of it out. We had the bagels which were fine, it was the condiments that were awful, the peanut butter was completely oily, the jam was sour and the sour cream that was in little cups could be poured over the bagel it was so runny. The orange juice and yogurt was warm. And I don't know what was going on with the bananas I had never eaten one so bad. They were dry and the flavor was terrible. I know for a fact that we will never stay there again.
days inn stole my money
Wanted to stay at a hotel for my birthday on new years eve, I rented two nights at the days inn altamonte springs. Biggest mistake ever! Paid $257.60 on expedia, checked in on 12/30 the first room I was given smelled. Was given another room, rm. 233 and it was in bad shape, light didn't work, hair, sticky stuff on the hairdryer, the hotel property is unsavory, condom wrappers, folgers coffee cans filled with cigarette butts, from the guests that "live there". Wanted to check out immediately and ask for a refund. Spent an hour on the phone with expedia, then days inn corporate, was told that the manager was the only one whom could issue a refund and she wasn't due to be in until 11pm. Waited a little longer, didn't want to be harassed by the prostitutes hanging out, outside my room door. Decided to leave, around 11pm I called and spoke to the manager yovannie, she was the absolute rudest woman I had encountered in 2016. Not only did she refuse to refund my money, she ended up charging me for the whole two nights when I had left the premises within a few hours. That is robbery! Days inn took money from me and did not provide me a service.
room, staff, and facilities
We stayed only one night, december 28thand it was the worst room I ever had, and I stayed in some bad rooms before. The complaints are numerous so I will list.
1. Filthy room
2. Rat droppings on the floor of the room
3. Mold everywhere (Ac unit, in service book, bathroom)
4. Dust everywhere (Looks like room hadn't been clean in months)
5. Chaotic/disorganized staff at check in. Thought they were on drugs
6. Charged for parking
7. Shady characters on balcony, parking lot and reception office
8. Broken equipment in the room
no heat or internet service in room 221
I reserve the room online for me and my family, for 2 days on Dec 26th and 27th, 2016. upon checking into room 221 we found out that we had no heat in the room and no internet service on Dec 26th. we notified the front desk and no action was taken to solve the issues. On Dec 27th they fix the heater but still no internet access. we notified the front desk again but still no action taken to solve the problem. When I check out I ask about a discount on the room rate for having no heat and internet on Dec 26th and no internet on the Dec 27th. I ask for the manager and was told that he left but would call me. I am still waiting on his call, I paid $310.90 for the 2 day stay and I think I deserve a discount. the manage and staff could care less about the guest that stay at the days Inn. The Days Inn Airport C at 901 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, Ca
Why should she ask for another room? If that oneis a piece of [censor] you think the others are any better?
desk clerk
Stayed three nights at the days inn upon checkout I asked the clerk for a receipt and he said he could not give one because he did not know what amount was charged for the room as it was booked online. I had one night charged to my credit card and asked for a receipt for that and he grew angry and told me to get the f### out of his hotel. I asked him to watch his language as there were children present and he again said get the f### out or will call the police I'm not f###ing around here.
Needless to say I will never stay at any Days Inn if this is how the paying guest are treated. I spent upwards of $300 at this inn and came away threatened . I may still file charges against this clerk for his abusive attitude and language. I want Days Inn to take appropriate action( not just saying don't do that again) or I will file the charges as I have plenty of witnesses. Other guest check out of this hotel after seeing this encounter.
rodent, strong urine odor, unprofessional behavior and customer service
I was prepared to stay a week at the Days Inn in Bossier, Louisiana off Old Minden Road. The first room was filled with a strong urine odor from the door to the bathroom. The second room I stayed 1 night killing roaches. At 300am I was laying in the bed when a mouse ran across the room behind the TV. I gathered my things and went to the front desk. I was given another room I checked out at 900am. I felt a free stay or reimbursement was due I changed rooms 3 times in 1 day because of the inns safety and housekeeping issues. I had food in the refrigerator and a mouse was in the room. I made a complaint to the Leading Manager he told the front desk to ask me if I took a picture to prove I seen a rodent in the room I paid for. Totally unprofessional and lack concern of my experience their.
Days inn customer service has fallen drastically.
very poor quality room
We got a room at the Days Inn, 5472 A Inn Road in Mobile Alabama, on 11/28/16. The room was filthy and smelled like urine near the door. The window had an outer glass pane broken out with the jagged glass left exposed. The metal base of the bedside lamp was corroded, the on/off switch was broke off, and there was no bulb. The only light we had for the room was the light over the sink. What we were able to see was beyond dirty, as if it hadn't been cleaned at all. The coffee maker, TV, sink, and mirrors all had a thick film. There was a dead roach on the bathroom floor.
We had been driving for about eight hours when we pulled in to this Days Inn. We were exhausted and needed to get some sleep. We would have asked for a room change, but the front desk already told us upon check-in that there were no other rooms available since we wanted to be on the 1st floor. Seeing the condition of this room, I doubt another room would be better anyway.
We tried to get some rest in the room so we could continue our trip, but the smell in the room made it impossible to sleep. We sprayed Ozium air sanitizer that we carry, but that didn't help, so we checked out around 2am.
We have stayed at other Days Inn and were very happy with the accommodations, but I guess we shouldn't assume that they are all the same. The Wyndham Hotel Group should definitely be ashamed of this facility.
We are extremely disappointed and feel that at least half, if not all, of the rate we paid for this room should be refunded to us.
Follow up on complaint: I contacted Wyndham Hotels customer service and explained the situation to their representative. She sincerely apologized for our inconvenience and Wyndham is sending a full refund by mail.
the filth of a room and lack of maintenance
I am a Wyndham rewards customer, and I do expediting all over the United States. At times I need a motel room. I happen to stay at a Days Inn in Shreveport, La. I was never so disgusted with the Days Inn. The towels were frayed and ripped, holes in curtains, door knob missing for bath room, walls are filthy, the door leading to outside was filthy inside. Micro wave was gross from filth inside and out. Bath tub was missing the control handle that lets water out of tub, all there was, was a big hole. I have always enjoyed Days Inn but now I'm scared. The Days Inn in Marquette, Mi. is beautiful and great staff. I have photos on my email, and will sent over separate confirmation number is [protected] account number [protected].
hazard - wet stairs with no sign or barrier, painting above parked cars
On September 17 I was taking my luggage downstairs. I am dressed in heels and a dress with my arms full of baggage. The stairs are very steep so thankfully I was stepping carefully. As I stepped down to the landing I slipped on what I quickly realized was wet paint. There was no sign and no barrier on the stairwell. As I got to the bottom of the stairs another person came behind me. I yelled at him that it was wet paint so he didn't slip. His wife was following behind him and he yelled at her in time to stop her from approaching the stairs.
With wet white paint on my shoes I walked into the office. The manager, G Patel, when told of the dangerous stairway said "Isn't there a sign"? If there had been a sign I would not have walked on the stairs. He made no attempt to help me in any way. In addition to the clear hazard of unmarked wet paint on a stairwell my car and one other were parked directly beneath the stairs. The spaces should have been coned off prior to painting.
When I slipped I tweaked my back trying not to fall. The four hour drive home was very uncomfortable. Also my heels were ruined with sticky white paint. I want to know what will be done about it. The manager never even walked out to see if everyone was okay or signs put up.
Another minor issue were the number of bugs in my room. I had to scrape 9 beetles off the window sill and throw away and pick up dead crickets off the floor. This was not a major problem just disgusting .
I am happy to escalate this issue if necessary.
Sincerely,
Jo Henry

hotel stay
Days Inn San Antonio Alamo/Riverwalk Texas USA
August 13 to 20, 2016
Dear Mr. or Madam,
I have just came back from my holiday in San Antonio Tx, staying 8 days at the Days Inn San Antonio Alamo Hotel.
I had the rooms 204 and 2012. During my stay, I did not have internet access (WiFi) One of my rooms (212, probably it was checked in at the name of Veronica Jasso), I did not find the remote control (TV) and I got one on Tuesday 16th!. My bed wasn't made Wed 17th, Thu 18th and Fri 19th. The fridge overwork so, frizzed my foods and beverages. On Wed 17th the light bulb over my sink didn't work and it was fixed until Thu!.
All this issues were reported from the from desk almost everyday. As you read, I enjoyed my vacation in SA, Tx but, I cannot say the same about my stay with you.
Sincerely your, Esteban Gutierrez
roaches and bed bug infestations.
Stop ignoring reviews for the Port Royal, SC Days Inn. It is imperative that the corporate office takes heed. This place is falling apart. The brand is gaining so much negativity and it is insane to go without review. There's a time to sit back and weigh it out and a time for action--- what time do you calculate it to be?
I have watched employees having a difficulty performing their duties because of the piss poor environment. Being constantly ridiculed by guests. It is time to step up and build the brand back. Stop slacking and spend wise money in improvements before you suffer more in reputation. What is a name without a reputation?
This is a plead from a guest who is concerned and a business man who knows the barriers that limits great strides. FOCUS! If you think these conditions are acceptable then post pictures and videos of yourselves in such accommodations. Better yet, take a few of the bed bugs with you to your 5, 000+ sqft houses!
I hate to see companies make money from the sweat of others and not even make effort to invest properly. Don't just promise the best stay but let your actions speak louder.
V/R,
"Not the Ghost busters"

Stay 08/03/2016 - 08/08/2016
Upon entering a screaming match of a women on the phone to desk clerk because she had insufficient funds in her account
No smoking rooms- Whole place reeked of cigarettes
Pictures in photos of room didn't reflect on room that I stayed in. Yellow stains on my mattress pad. Roomed smelled cigarettes and mold.
Bathroom appeared to have no of been cleaned. I went to store to have my room sanitized. Mold in tub and urine on walls, toilet and floor.
Breakfast- There wasn't enough breakfast for the people that stayed there.
Says we can access printer and computer so I can print my boarding pass. Desk help said sorry unable to work front computer. To find out hours later that it did work but no ink in printer. The lady behind the desk did the best she could to help us.
Key to enter room- 7 out of 9 times had to be reprogrammed. He asked that I stop leaving it next to my cell phone. I had just gone out to the car to get water.
I was packing my bags to leave and was heading out the door. Someone from the front desk was banging on my door to asked if I was leaving...A full cleaning crew was standing behind him glaring at us. As I was loading up the car he asked if I was leaving a second time... I felt pushed out. They never had to clean my room and I asked for towels daily.
If I don't get some sort of compensation or written apology I plan to use the social network and other communications necessary for my daughter is an international recording artist.
This place in my opinion was disgusting, and I didn't sleep well due to the fact that I was afraid something would crawl on me.
Yes, I could of left... but I had to stay and await for funds to be available and with it being a Rhode Island holiday Banks were closed.
room condition
)n 8/07/2016 I made reservations for a room, when I arrived the first room that I was given wasn't even cleaned or made ready. This was at 10 PM. The second room I was given had a air conditioner that was on wheels and had to be empty of drain water twice that night. The room had wires hanging out of the wall, cracks around the bathroom tub, dirt flowing out of the wall vent in the bathroom, a bathroom door that was bent and hard to shut. The tile on the floor in the bathroom was in bad repair, had rusty hinges on door, and had drywall issues around the inside of the bathroom door. I paid way too much for a room in this condition. I took pictures of all of this. Days Inn needs to refund me for this room stay.
bad hotel
Was booked to stay at the Days inn in Nashville, TN off Trinity Dr. When I got there it was the worst most vial hotel I have ever seen. Young boys running and yelling through the parking lot ( sat least 15 of them) drunk men sitting on the sidewalk- drinking and smoking playing loud music. Drunk men up by the office vomiting on the sidewalk and one passed out on the sidewalk. Inside the room the carpets were stained, the bed was stained, the chairs and all were stained. You could not sit anywhere. I feared for my safety and could not stay there. When I brought it up to the night clerk, Raz- he said he asked them to quit 2 times and since he did he would have to charge me. He gave no concern for how I felt about my safety or well being. I am filing BBB complaint and a complaint with the CEO personally. I want a full refund. I also told expedia about the hotel since it was booked through them.
What do you work for the dump? You serious? Doesn't sound like it's cheap to me. Maybe your use to living in [censor] but most of us aren't. Your suppose to be serving the public. People like you and places like this are what make's businesses go out of business. Better for us.
It always amuses me how people complain that they get cheap when they want cheap.
theft of ipad from my room
I had been staying at the Days Inn on Roberts Avenue in Laurelton, NC for business.
I returned to my hotel to fid that my suitcase had been gone thru and my iPad was missing. it was not left out in plain sight, someone rifled thru my belongings and stole it.
I reported it to the front desk and called the Pembroke Police.
we completed a police report complete with the serial number of the device and my personal information.
I have made repeated calls to this hotel and am being told a manager will get back to me.
Even an office form the Police Dept. has called me to say he has not received and return call from the hotel.
Although they management says the housekeeping staff has been with them for 23 years, and they would check the room keys to see who was in my room last I have heard nothing! I checked out of the hotel and still no calls concerning the theft. I am sure they are hoping I forget about it but you can't tell me that this is the way Days Inn does business every day?
it's like oh well not our problem, nothing we can do or say!
I expect to be contacted and reimbursed to some extent!
This hotel and their staff leave a lot to be desired and I can't help but wonder if this has happened more than once there!
You clearly are a very delusional and mentally unstable silly little boy/girl/it? what ever you pretend to be each day. It is very apparent you where abused and neglected, and have mother issues, thus now feeling the need to do the same. She must have dropped you on your head as you are clearly demented. Stop being a pu##y keyboard warrior, and get off the internet. Does your parole officer know that you are on here harassing people under numerous names, silly little mentally unstable boy?
The police have a report. It is out of the hotel's hands now. It sucks, but any reimbursement will not come from the hotel it will come if they police find the thief and a judge orders restitution.
I'm convinced your an owner. Are you enjoying her Ipad?
Trust me, my work history is better then working at Day's Inn scamming people. I stayed in one of your hotel's. In S.C. I ran, ran away like the "little boy " you claim I am. How do you think I know how nasty that chain is? Stooping to my level? Your the one who reply's to your own fake profiles.
room, and management of the inn
May 27th at the days Inn at 17701 OFF OF I-30 in benton Ar 72015 phone number [protected] in room 161.
let me start this off with when we arrived was around 230 am, we had to stand there beating on the door to wake up the gentleman that was sleeping on the sofa which took a few times. Then we get in to see they never put in our reservation. We got our key card and went to our room aND noticed a funky smell not thinking anything about it we just went to sleep. The morning of the 28th we noticed what that smell was cause the drains were backed up in the room. On top of that the room was not clean the bathtub had mold there was a bugger on the matrace. Sticking out from the cushion of the chair was a nasty all ready chewed gum/candy. So I walked to the office to let them know and the lady that was running the counter was complaining about how she should just quit cause stupid people wouldn't let her get work done cause of people checking out and telling her how she's out of things at the breakfast diner. I told her about the drains and she said that's a normal thing with that side of rooms. The breakfast gross rubber biscuits and cold sausage. I was very very dissatisfied with this inn and if all days inns are run this way I'll never use them again. Very disappointed costumer Barbara lockman
I feel like I wasted my money and would have rather sleep outside next time
I reserved a room at Days Inn Inner Harbour, Baltimore, MA. The reservation was made in March, 2008, online for 3 nights in mid-June. I confirmed in early June.
I e-mailed the address on their web site about a week ahead to alert them that I had a late flight and would be arriving after midnight. The reply e-mail said I needed call the day of arrival. Although I thought that the e-mail *should* have been enough notice, I called before boarding my flight to let them know I would arrive between midnight and 1am. They said "OK."
When I arrived at Days Inn, an angry-looking man was being escorted to a taxi by the desk agent. When he returned to the desk, the agent told me "I have some good news and some bad news: The good news is that you won't have to pay for your room tonight. The bad news is that it isn't here."
I told him that there was no good news: I wasn't paying for my room anyway - I was on the job for the state of Georgia. I was being sent to the Mt Vernon Inn, "about six blocks north" (more like 8) and that I could come back to the Days Inn the next day. I complained that the Mt Vernon Inn was considerably further from my conference location - he gave me a total of $15 for taxi fare. I was also given a letter to give to Mt Vernon and was escorted out to a waiting rattle-trap taxi.
While the Mt Vernon was older and not as nice as the Days Inn, I decided to stay and negotiated to get the room for all three nights for the same rate that Days Inn paid for the first night ($99 vs $155 market or $122 govt employee rate).
The extra walking was a bit of a hassle (esp the last day w/luggage) and the neighbourhood a bit "more interesting" - the REAL problem is being booted out of my room so late at night and having to present at the conference the next day.
Shortly after cancelling my room via phone, I did stop by the Days Inn. The front desk manager was very apologetic and said they felt bad about it. I was NEVER given an explanation of what happened. I do know that a national extreme sports competition was in town that weekend, so I'm certain that I just lost out to the highest bidder.
