I had loaded a request on the 12 September 2022. I technician came out about 3 days later advising me that the part need to be replace or they change the entire top stove. Bear in mind that it’s practically new because it was purchased in June.
I have call your call center countless time with the promise that it will be sorted out shortly.
Nb, we have been cooking on fires and now had to buy a 2 plate stove because on the incompetence of Defy after service sales. Absolutely appalling!
The part was in “Durban” Warehouse, to be sent to “Durban” Sevice center. I am still waiting “this is crazy”.

Defy Twinmaid 1500
My whole life I bought Defy products. Good product...but... You maid the defy twinmaid 1500. Not so good. No gentle wash, no easy rinse ajustment like the 1300. That plastic thing on the side that is suppose to catch the loose fluffy stuff ( donse ), doesn't work. 1300 with bag much better. Ajustment knobs plastic connections pathetic... time and again i stand with knobs im my hand. Please bring back the Defy Twinmaid 1300...much better machine. Discontinue the Defy Twinmaid 1500. Thank you

Good day.
I have bought a top loader from takealot on the 27th August 2022. Received it on the 30th August. I logged a call with the call center and a technician came out to look at the machine. I advised him that I don't want it fixed I want a replacement because it should be brand new. I bought a new machine and can't even use it due to the horrible sound it makes. It's now been 2 weeks since the technician was here. I call everyday to find out what is going on and have no joy with anybody. They keep confirming they waiting for approval. When I bought it I paid immediately. I also spoke to a Logan lady at Defy itself and she should have called me back today and i have not received a call as yet. I paid R6000 for the machine and it isn't right that I have to wait 2 weeks and still no replacement or even a call. If this is not sorted I will have to log a complaint with the ombudsman and I will Bombay social media with this horrible experience and unreliable service from Defy.

Defy ceramic hob touch stove (faulty touch sensor)
Defy Hob Stove bought in November 2021, still under warranty displays Err 22 Error - (Faulty Sensor). Defy send two technicians with no spares. First to check on the fault and possible for non compliance to the warranty. They all came with no spares on them. The fault was booked 1 September 2022 and now going to three weeks waiting for spares used to manufacture these stoves. Defy don't prioritize customers who use their appliances, but production. Three weeks of finding ways to cook is a nightmare everyday.
Desired outcome: Turn around time for a repair must be at least 7 days with constant feedback on the repair.
Today when called again, they were offline,, logged message on their what'sapp service line and this was the response.

Bought hob in June 2022. Installed on 27 July 2022. Faulty burner. Today 8 September after they delivered two other damaged hobs they installed the chipped hob with the promise to replace.
No follow up ever from their side - terrible service -7 weeks later !

Notified Defy Technical on 03/09/2022, Ref 1682543, Glass hob DHG 905, bought July 2022 from Hirchs. Not one of the burners are working, I cannot use it at all. A technician was booked for 06/09/2022 as per the technical department, I am still waiting! Poor service from DEFY, how long should this take, no one can tell me, really!
Desired outcome: To get this hob repaired A.S.A.P, I could have taken it back to Hirchs it would have been quicker.
An electric stove
I have logged a call on the 15th August 2022 and my product is on extended warranty, however I was told my product cannot be repaired and they advise they do not repair appliances if there is cockroaches. I have a granite tops and am I expected to remove my hob daily from the granite an clean the under on the stove?
I am extremely upset I have paid for a extended warranty with game and this is unfair to the consumer, to date my product has not been serviced and my incident was closed without feedback. Everyday I am calling the service department and speaking to Eddie Knuist however he keeps on saying that he will call me back he has laptop issues or still speaking to the tech.
This is unacceptable as a consumer I have kids and to date I don't have a stove to prepare for my kids. If I knew that Defy does not want to assist me yet I paid for a service I would never bought a product from Defy.
Desired outcome: I want my stove repaired for the extended service i have paid for my product is not even 1 year old.

Logged complaint about faulty Defy gas hob on 27 July 2022 purchased at Makro Springfield, Durban. Defy technician came in on 1 Aug 2022 and recommended exchange. No responses/ feedback to phone calls/ emails and watsapp from Ringo, Defy Rep, Ishmaiel Khaki, Service Manager and Rico Peter Makro Manager. Disgusting service standard. Really frustrated and disappointed. Issue not resolved to date.

Defy Fridge
I bought a Defy fridge on the 28 of December 2019. March 2020 the fridge was giving me problems. It was freezing on the top part. I reported the matter and a technician was sent to fix the fridge. 2022 begging of the year the fridge's compressor stop working, I reported the fridge and a technician was sent to fix the fridge. July 2022 the fridge started freezing the top part, I reported the fridge and technician came to fix it on the 20 of July 2022. On the 23 of July the fridge was not working. The fridge is not cold. I have reported the fridge and I am waiting for a technician.

I called on 12 May 2016 for my defy stove which broke down for the 2nd time now since I purchased it October 2021. My job number was 1625203 which apparently got cancelled without my knowledge regardless my numerous calls to follow up. When I asked why I was told a job number can’t be open for too long. The status has been “waiting for spare parts” for the whole 2 months with last update on 16/05/2002. This is so frustrating as I have a baby that I need to prepare food for 3 times a day!
Desired outcome: If spares are not available kindly replace the stove.
DEFY washing machine DTL149
I reported my washing machine as faulty more than 6 weeks ago.
Todate nobody has phoned me for any updates - I have to keep phoning and for 6 weeks have been told there are no spare parts for the washing machine which is still under warranty. When I phoned Defy I aslo get told that someone from Defy will contact me within 24 hours - I have never had one call from Defy for this washing machine.
I get told the call is escalated etc etc, and when I request to please speak to management or a supervisor - Well this is just impossible and cannot happen.
Do not know what the reason is.
All I want from Defy is a response or the decency of a call and if you cannot repair my machine which is still under warranty - then you should have made a plan for a replacement by now.
This whole situation is unacceptable and a great dissapointment for a Defy product
Desired outcome: Immediate repair after waiting six weeks for spare parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Alternatively the decent thing would be to replace my washing machine

I bought a Defy washing machine and in 6 months time the spinner motor gave in, Defy has been contacted and it's 3 weeks now without using my washing machine ,your customer service is just like the products you sell very poor
Stay away from DEFY oven hob Combo
Purchased a Defy oven and hob combo within a year the hob pc board caught fire. For those that think Defy is SA based it is not. Defy is owned by a Turkish based company and I assume they use the cheapest possible parts from China.
Rather spend your money on Whirlpool which is a quality product and company.
Desired outcome: Just close Defy down this company is not worth saving.
Technician to repair a tumble dryer
I called last week around the 21 June 2022 to request a technician to repair/ service my tumble dryer. Firstly the call centre operator never sent me a confirming reference as promised or any proof of my call request. My job was scheduled for the 28 June 2022. Leading up to and including the 28th no one called to confirm the appointment. I called in on the morning of the 28 the operator told me a technician was booked and would arrive. Apparently, a special note was made that I was to take a days leave from work in order to get this repair done. Which was true. At around 1230 I called the call centre again to inform them that still no one came out as yet. The call centre operator made me hold for what seemed in excess of 5 minutes only to tell me to call the technician myself. As he proceeded to give me the name of the tech, the call cut. One would expect the call centre to call me back due to the fact that had I called back I would not get the same operator and would start all over again. It's now 16:12 and no one has called nor has the tech come out. I'm reporting this putrid and pathetic service from your centre and it's a clear indication that client service is meaningless to you and your staff at the call centre. I will be sure to take this to social media as well as your head offices for this will definitely be another nail in the already tarnished image of a once giant brand in household appliance.
Desired outcome: Hire more competent staff and technicians alike. Render my repair free of charge for I had to stay away from work for the day with no service rendered.
No spare parts available for defy gas hob: model dgh129
On 14/06/2022 I took my Defy Gas hob to Lategan & Van Biljons (authorised Defy Service centre in Gezina, Pretoria. On 17/06/2022 I was informed they are done with my stove.
On Collection I was informed that they do not have stock any where in South Africa for the part I wanted (top spiral jet)
I feel this very bad service and I am very unsatisfied with the service I received over all with your Service department at Lategan and taking my unit back again after it is still not working.
Desired outcome: I would like for the top burner spiral jet part be available at Lategan & Van Biljons for them to install 21/06/2022

I bought a washing machine in December 2021. It worked fine for about a month when water stopped draining in and out of the machine. A call was logged with the store where I bought the machine on 7 March 2022. At this stage the machine was already not working for about a month. I could not report without an invoice number and struggled to find my receipt. The defy agent came out and reported a faulty part (on the new machine). The part was ordered and installed on 3 May 2022. The 1st time we used the machine, after being fixed, the spin did not work. I reported it again and I'm still waiting for someone to come and have a look. At this point I feel it is only fair to replace the machine. 2 faults on a new machine is unacceptable

Bought a Defy Kitchenaire Ceramic Hob Stove last June 2021, only started using it in August 2021. Within 3 months one of the elements in the oven burnt out as well as the oven light blew. Defy sent out a technician to repair. 7 May 2022, the inner glass of the oven door shattered for no apparent reason. After numerous phone calls to Defy and the matter being "escalated" several times, no one has called to come and repair.
Desired outcome: Repair or replace asap!

I Bought my lovely stove with touch buttons within 12 months it was not working.it had burnt my motherboard. I am a huge fan of defy. A noisy fridge
I bought a brand new Defy Fridge with water despenser from Game in Greenstone Mall on the 24th of November 2021.
I paid R7261. 00 for the fridge. This fridge was on promotion at the time.
4 months ago this fridge has been running very loud. It sometimes so loud that it keeps us up at night.
I did complain to salesman at Game and he logged a compliant with Defy.
A technician Michael came out and tightened a few screws and said it's fixed.
Same after he left the fridge did the same thing.
I complained to both Salesman at Game and Michael from Defy but I get no response.
Micheal provided me Defy phone number and said he can't help.
I have spent alot of money to buy this fridge and I want it sorted out or replaced. I have my slip and recordings of the sound that this fridge makes.
