We live in ladysmith and my dad suffered a heart attack in pietermaritzburg, my dad was admitted at Grey's hospital in pietermaritzburg. The owner of the company just arranged to get his truck back to ladysmith and refused to see to any medical bills etc. He askd my dad not to go and file an iod because he will compensate him accordingly we have being waiting ever since all we get from him is the run around. He eventually told my dad that he is not going to pay him out anything because it is to late now.. My dad is currently unfit for work from thta time he has 3 stents. He just lives of his disability and it's very difficult for him.. Would really appreciate your assistance in the matter. Thank you
poor service - allocation of payment
Good Afternoon
REF NO. [removed]
Our client made a payment of their workmen's compensation return fees on 3 May 2019, she accidentally used the incorrect reference number.. We have been trying to get Labour Department to allocate the payment to their account. We have called and sent numerous emails. All we keep getting is a email that gives a ticket number. The very few times you can get hold of someoen on the phone, all they say, they can see the emails but someone still to work on this. We have been trying to get them to allocate this payment since 13 September 2019. How long does it take for someone to allocate a payment. We are not able to print a letter of good standing. Our client needs they letter of good standing for a tender, this is urgent. We have sent them proof of payment, affidavit plus a letter from the client. Please can you assist.
Thank you

not paying final payment of salary and leave pay after resigning
To whom it may concern:
RE: Final payment after resigning from Performance Precision Engineering / Flexi Power in Randfontein, Aureus end of October 2019.
I resigned and worked my month notice with the company and received only some of my final payment from the company. I have been following up with Ms Corneli Geldenhuys on my difference on the payment and everytime she had a new story to not paying me out my final payment. At the moment I am situated in Pta and can't get transport back to Randfontein due to no finances available due to her not paying me my final payment. I have been requesting my payslips also as due to other staff also requesting payslips since I started working there in March 2019.
If I am correct according to law she was suppose to give our payslips before paying our pay.
She always paid us late our pay
And she did not pay me all my owing money after my last day of work.
Staff at the company is very unhappy also for not getting their payslips and have been complaining.
Her Cell nr:
083 268 9396
She stays on site some times but will always be not available.
Please can you check if you can assist an ex employee and all current employees that are unhappy about the problem.
I have been whatsapping her, emailing her and also emailing department of labour in Randfontein to follow up what is going on. Corneli has too many excuses on why she has not paid me yet. Now she is looking for answers on she had problems on the work I have done, but previously there were never problems. Saw that while I was there she did this with the previous staff that left the company also. We are going for the second month now that she has not yet paid my money. Is there any possibility that anyone can start taking action on this case.

unfair compensation
Good day Sir / Madam
I really need urgent assistance.
I have been employed at Collect a Debt (Pty) Ltd since December 2018, in a "casual worker" capacity, as a "Collector", as per my employer, to "see if you can do the work and execute the drafting of documents".
Then only on 31 January 2019, handed a Contract of Employment, with a formally starting date of employment from 1 February 2019.
I have been compensated on a weekly basis by an eft payment of R1 000.00 per week until February 2019, when I was paid by eft a monthly salary of R4 000.00 up until today.
In the meantime I saw I acquired a "re-assigned" title of Admin Assistant, as per my payslip.
I met with my employer on two (2) occasions to discuss the salary I receive and the fact that I have, when asked at which salary I require, answered a starting salary of R6 500.00.
It is my firm believe since I was unemployed for a few months beforehand and had experience in civil litigation field, my employer made use of this information to employ me, in the legal department, and keep me salaried at the breadline level.
I have been, since 1 December 2018, sorting, arranging, diarising and drafting 900 red(legal) files that was in extreme and total neglect and disarray since the previous "legal/admin person" left this company.
I draft various Court documents such as Summons', Default Judgments, Warrants, Notices, Plea's, Affidavits and different correspondences with other Attorneys and firms on a daily basis.
I came with the experience of drafting of legal documents in civil litigation.
The "legal department" is flourishing, garnishee payments, attachment, removals and payments are primarily in place with excellent returns.
With my last meeting with my employer, she stated that the Sheriff fees and registered post expenses are high and she cannot increase my salary, AND it will negatively affect other employees.
What I cannot fathom is the fact that when you are establishing a new department in your firm/company, are you not supposed to do financial projections for at least the next three (3) years thereof? Just a thought.
Hope to heart from you soon.
Thanking you in advance.
A Lemmetjies

My company pays UIF to SARS every month.
We have an ex employee trying to claim UIF. She was a contracted employee SARs code 3601. She's been told contractors can't claim UIF, which is nonsense!
Constant reference to S18 (2) of the Skills Development Act on websites is disingenuous to say the least, as it refers to learnership contracts and not the multitudes of people who are genuine contracted employees, whose contracts have ended.
I have been listening to muzak for 1h 24m to confirm our company's UIF Registration Number. Every 10 minutes or so, I am told I am a valuable client, we are experiencing high call volumes then hear a ring tone, which never becomes a call, just reverts to the muzak.
The contempt with which this Government holds the people, and its taxpayers is unbelievable. These problems are not new and are a disgraceful reflection on employees of the State. UIF has been disgracefully administered for at least 10 years.
Shame on you!
non payment
From lodging a claim on September at brits (madibeng) Labour Center, I've been going back and forth whereas they keep telling me to come sign up and calling non-stop whereas they say my claim has been approved but sadly until now i haven't received any cent from them and it is very difficult as am not working, no money for kids clothes, no food etc at this point I do not know where to turn to or should I seek legal help.
Yours truly

payment not received for 4 months
Good day,
To whom it may concern.
I was Retrenched at Atok Bokoni Platinum Mine on the 31st of July 2017.
On the 24th of August 2017 I did Apply for my UIF at the Department of Labour in Polokwane. They said I must wait 35 days and then come back to sign the payout.
On the 12th Of October 2017 I did go back to sign the payout and they said that it haven't been professed yet and I must wait another 14 days.
On the 26th Of October I went back and they said that I must come back on the 3rd Of November 2017.
So on the 3rd Of November 2017 I went back and signed for the payout. They said if I didn't receive my money in 10 working days I must come back.
So after 10 Working days my money is still not in my account. I went back and asked why inst my money in my account, they said its still in processing order. I must wait another 5 days and then come back. After 5 days I went back and they only give me the customer care line number and said I must phone them.
This morning on the 22 of November 2017 I tried to call the number given but the people on the other side puts the phone down when they "transferring" me to the right department.
I think its not acceptable, I have a house that needs to be payed, I have vehicle that need to be paved, I must buy food for my children. I cant provide for them because the UIF only sends me away overtime I am going there and give me days and time that I must be there of phone numbers that I must phone and then there inst any help.
Lack of assistance
Since November 2013 we have been trying to have our account resolved with the Workmans Compensation Division of the Department of Labour. We owe a small fortune to them which we want to pay. The problem is that our classification is incorrect and I am not getting assistance in having this resolved. They have corrected our classification but only backdated it to 2014 and not 2012 when the Company started. I correspond with them on a monthly basis to no avail. All we want to do is have the issue resolved so that we can pay and get a compliance certificate. Please can someone advise who we can escalate this to as every month we are directed to another person.
Please forward your complaint and contact details to Masede.mosima@labour.gov.za
Inspectors / supervisors
I have been working for a company called Incredible Connection for 8 years and decided to finally retire this year on April 15.
I then served my one month`s notice to the the company and officially stopped working for them on May 15.
I get paid on the 25th of every month; how it works is that if you work the month of April for example, you would only receive your salary on the 25th of May. When that day came I was not paid and my previous branch manager assured me that it was just a slight misunderstanding so she assured me that she will rectify the matter.
After one month of waiting for her reply via e-mail she sent me an e- mail with my payslip attached to it saying that I was paid at the end of May so the first thing that came to mind was why did they pay on the month end and not on the 25th which they have been doing for 8 years?
I queried this information with the bank by getting statements to prove that no such money was deposited into my account.I then noticed another discrepancy on my payslip; the account number on it did not match mine at all. I then sent an e-mail back to my previous branch manager stating that and demanding to be informed about who this account number belongs to. That`s when she basically got fed up with my problem and turned her back on the matter.
I was feeling discriminated against, violated and robbed at the very same time because I kept thinking in my head that I gave up 8 years of my life to this company, made them millions of Rands and this is the thanks I get? What came after was my trip to the Department Of Labor. My first impression of the place was not good at all. I immediately picked up a vibe of people who don`t take pride in their work just by walking through their doors but I decided to see it through and keep my composure for as long as my case remained open.
When I eventually got a chance to open up a case against my company I was assisted by a lady by the name of Natasha Kene. My case with her started smoothly, she noted that I was not payed by my employer for 2 consecutive months and made a report according to that. The very next week I got an amount in my account from my employer but something did not quite add up. Since there were 2 amounts outstanding I checked my payslip to see what the amount was and saw that it was a little over R4000 on that payslip yet the money that just got deposited into my account was just over R3000. I sent Ms Kene an e-mail that very same week stating that this had happened and if my company told her when I could expect the rest of my salary. Ms Kene did not reply to any of my early e-mails sent to her which was very crucial for her to do, I eventually got a call from a Mr Hlubi Ngamlana and was assured by him that the case would be resolved.
Mr Ngamlana is an Investigating Officer who has very little time for his clients because he is forever attending courses outside his work premise which is another reason why my case took so long to resolve. Personally, I think these people try to find any excuse to leave the office so that they don`t have to put up with all the work they have to get through. Anyway, Mr Ngamlana also did a half done job due to the fact that he confirmed the salary that was deposited into my account was in fact my notice period money but then neglected to follow up the initial salary of April that I came in complaining about. Not only that but when I sent him an e-mail which was very crucial for him to reply to at that time because it had the outstanding salary payslip attached to it showing him clearly that this salary had not been paid yet; he just went ahead and closed the case like I was pleased with the outcome. This was very frustrating because he kept postponing my meeting up with him face to face; that was the only way he was going to understand that this case was far from over. What he in turn did was make me fill out another case form bringing me back to square one, I thought to myself..."Why do these government officials get so much training when they don`t even know how to implement those skills in the workplace?" My life had come to a dead halt because of incompetent staff!
Then, just when I thought things could not possibly get any worse, Mr Ngamlana introduces me to a Primrose Maimane. She treated me like she was doing me a favor, was very condescending and was even making a mockery of my birth name. I was in disbelief...I had to just sit there and keep my composure because at the end of the day, all I want is my money...that is it. The last thing I needed was to rub anybody up the wrong way but enough is enough. A couple of weeks go by then I get a call from a woman by the name of Sandisa Sankobe, this woman is not only unorganized but she is also very ignoramus due to the waste of time she put me through. Now her job was to pick up where Mr Ngamlana left off by getting my company to give me my outstanding salary. I gave her all the information needed including 5 months bank statements, payslips and all. This woman would call me and talk to me about other people`s cases rampantly not knowing that I am not even the client in question. When I asked her about my case she said she was waiting for the IE5 forms to be submitted by my company giving the D.O.L proof that I was paid. Two more weeks went by then I was wondering when she would brief me on my case because two weeks is a very long time to leave someone in the dark about their salary.I called her and she told me "didn`t you get my e-mail? I sent you the proof that they paid you already!" JUST LIKE THAT!
I then demanded that she resend that proof to my mailbox thinking to myself if this did really happen then why have I not seen any deposits into my account. I read the e-mail she sent me and it turns out that this woman was stupid enough to have re-investigated my closed case that Mr Ngamlana had already concluded. To prove that she never reads her e-mail, her stupidity told her that she should mail a letter to my house stating that my case has now been finalized because in her head, she did an excellent job and deserved a pat on the back!
That was the last straw...or so I thought it was. I immediately tried to get a hold of her supervisor, a Mr Vincent Domingo; to see if he would be able to get through to her. I first sent him an e-mail which obviously was never read because that is NOT what people at this department do at all through my experience with them. I then proceeded to try and call him; I swear I have NEVER been disrespected by anyone in government like that before which is why this sort of behavior needs to be exposed as much as possible. At the end of the day it all boils down to the corruption levels being way to high and thinking that it is okay for them to conduct themselves in this manner. What this department needs to understand is that it is defeating the purpose of its existence by letting corruption reign supreme in the workplace and I for one will not stand for it especially if we as South Africans are helping them stay in business with all that tax money we pay around here...it is just simply unacceptable behavior!

Uif claims
Good Day.
I would truly appreciate feedback in regards to payment for my UIF claim. The duration of my maternity leave was January - March 2016. After receiving correspondence from Uif in regards to a document that went missing we provided them with the relevant documentation again. I received correspondence that the documentation was scanned on the Uif system on 13 July 2016. On 21 July my agency followed up and we were informed that they require an amended Ui19 form. We submitter the requested form on 26 July 2016. No payment or correspondence was received up to date.
Kindly assist in this matter..
Thank You
Kind Regards

Good day I was at the labour Centre in Alberton going to sign and I could not be allowed in because I was carrying a 2 weeks baby and there were a couple of us and other pregnant women as well. We we ask if we are going to be assisted we were told kids are not allowed inside and we were just standing with no assistant. My question is that with whom should we leave this kids with. What happened to Batho Pele principles of when pregnant women and women with infants stands in a long que without a clear indications of what should be done.
