In 2009 I separated from my husband and went to St. Florida , with my kids. My husband at the time was in the county jail for domestic abuse and it wasn't the first time. I was there for 6 months in hiding. The department was aware of that as good cause was given. I couldn't stay where we were, my got sick and so we came back. Couldn't stay at my mom's because it was a 55 and up community. So we made one last attempt to try again. It ended badly and I went to jail. All of this is on record. 2011 my hit me, I hit him
back, then ran and called the cops while my children were present. I was arrested, my children went to my mother who was given temporary custody until the case plan was completed. I filed while in jail, indigent by inmate. When the DCF case plan was completed and the children were reunited with me, I took all current paperwork to the Melbourne child support office. Almost a year later, I received a letter in the mail saying that he was incarcerated from 06/02/2009 untill 04/22/2014. That is not my ex-husband. I have argued with them for almost 12 years now. They have reused to look into the matter. In 2017 I was recovering from a severe illness and had given my mom temporary custody, and served him for what she thought was back support from when she had. I had custody of my kids, and they collected 230 a month agave it to my mom. My divorce processed in 2018and filed on time at the courthouse. Yet I received letters saying that they wanted more information on him, while collecting from him and ignoring my divorce order for nearly 3 years. Now the way the paperwork reads from their office, they take almost 300 from my son's SSI check as an over payment in child support. They refused to review the case because because is almost 18 and now its almost over and will take more than 6 months to investigate. Please, he was not in prison. I am now 51 and can longer work due to genetic diseases and stress. I need help and can't get it because of them.
Claimed loss: 20,000+? I have no idea
Desired outcome: Please look into the matter. There is no reason for him not have been served years ago.
