Florida Department of Revenue Snap/medicaid

For a week now I’ve not been able to contact anyone from the main office. From 12/15/2023 to 12/22/2023 I get up at 7 am and start calling [protected] every hour on the hour. And every single time they are assisting other people and says to call back another time and just hangs up. No hold no message center nothing. I’m no longer living in Florida so I can’t just go to an office and wait for a couple hours to get something as simple as a closure letter so I can receive benefits in another state. I’ve got 10 days to get this letter submitted! You can’t even call a local office to get anything you need! How can I get a closure letter? This is so stressful! I’m disabled and need my Medicaid and SNAP but without this letter I will be denied here in my new state of residence.

Desired outcome: Closure Letter from Florida DCFS

In 2009 I separated from my husband and went to St. Florida , with my kids. My husband at the time was in the county jail for domestic abuse and it wasn't the first time. I was there for 6 months in hiding. The department was aware of that as good cause was given. I couldn't stay where we were, my got sick and so we came back. Couldn't stay at my mom'...

Florida Department of Revenue Snap benefits

I am having the same problem as reported below I filed almost a month ago after I had applied for Unemployment and out of work for 2 weeks and I have heard nothing. Just says Pended in Access online and I am unable to get anyone on the phone unless scheduled for an appointment. Never had this issue in the past and I only use snap when I am unemployed to subsidize my food so I can keep a roof over my head.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response as I have been without food for almost a month, I do not drive and I am not able to get to food banks and have no family to help

Florida Department of Revenue Child support program

I filed June of 2022 to get help getting child support from my daughters father. I gave them his current address and employment. They said someone answered the door and said he didn't live there. So they were not able to serve him the papers. I know that he does still live there and is avoiding this, I have told the child support agency this along with asking if they could serve him at work or at his court hearing which they said no. They said they can't move forward until they get a new address, which will never Haley because he still lives and owns the address they have. So basically they won't help AT ALL.

Desired outcome: To get them to do their job

Florida Department of Revenue Child support - establishing a case

I applied for Child Support services in 2/2023 after moving to FL. I patiently waited weeks for them to reach out to me to start my case. After several calls I finally received some papers in the mail. The papers were basically a print out of the application I already filled out. I hand carried them into the office and also brought my sons birth certificate. Weeks passed and again, I have heard nothing. I call and am told that they did not receive the BC for my son. I didn't understand how that is possible as I hand carried it. I returned to the office again with the BC and am told it was scanned in the wrong place and it has been assigned to someone to rescan and to call back in 30 days. Another 30 days to scan something AGAIN. 60 days in total to scan ONE paper in. They used every day of that. Then I am told in the office that paternity testing is next and to expect a call to schedule. That was very far from the truth. I went back down there and was told that more forms were getting mailed out and to return them. I filled them out and HAND DELIVERED them the same day. I asked while I was there if there were any other documents needed. They said No and that Oregon was mailed paperwork 5/25 and we should hear something back with 90 to 120 DAYS! Well that was also a lie.

I called Oregon Child Support Agency and they have not received anything from FL mind you.

So I call again. I am told that they need MORE forms filled out and pay stubs and childcare print outs. I dont understand why all the papers arent mailed at once. I filled out ONE application giving all the necessary information. They knew it was an interstate case at the time of application. So I have now waited 4 months and they have gotten nothing done. 4 months and they are still sending me forms to fill out. Forms I asked to fill out at the Child Support office EVERY TIME THAT I HAVE BEEN THERE.

So I am 4 months is waiting on more forms to arrive in the mail. Assuming they were actually mailed and not sitting on somebodys desk. Once I return the documents assuming they dont need ANYTHING more they still need to send all the information to OR. Oregon then has 60 days to serve the other party. He has 30 days to respond. Then they have to send all that crap back to FL so they can sit on their [censored] for 90 days. So in other words its atleast another 6 months just to MAYBE get paternity test ordered.

It should not take this long to send out some papers. It should not take over a year just to get paternity testing ordered. That is just for testing. We arent even talking about the actual Child Support order or wage garnishment. They keep blaming Oregon as to why it is taking so long when nothing has even gone to them. This agency is far from helpful. No one knows what the hell they are doing. The worst part is support will only go back 24 months. It is going to take them longer than just to get my damn order.

Desired outcome: I would like to actually get genetic testing ordered and a child support order done before my son graduates high school.

Florida Department of Revenue Food stamps program

On March 12, 2023, I sent my food stamps/cash assistance renewal to DCF via fax, three days before the date they required timely renewal which is March 15, 2023. It showed up on my online Access account on March 13.

I have called DCF every week, sometimes twice or thrice, and every time they told me they have up to 30 days to process my application. They also told me they got my application on March 16, 2023 via regular mail, which is not true because I FAXED IT and got confirmation they received it, it is also posted on my Access account as I said. They also told me I was to finally be interviewed by a DCF agent on or around April 26, 2023.

In good faith, I waited for DCF to process the renewal and call me for the interview. It is now April 29, 2023, and I still have no assistance. I cannot work and I am eligible to get assistance as I've been getting it for a year now.

I'm going through severe hardship as I completely depend on the assistance to eat/exist. I have told the same to every agent I was able to communicate with over the phone after lomg hours of waiting on the line which I understand as a lot of people are going through tough times. They simply take notes of my request and concern and nothing happens.

This is a sensitive government organization whose primary function is to help people who sadly needs the assistance to live and have no other means. I would not be using such a limited resource if I didn't need it. I have done everything possible to make their jobs easier and still willing to go the extra mile to alleviate their work burden, but it is frustrating that they are so negligent and make you wait. PEOPLE DEPEND ON THE ASSISTANCE TO EAT! I don't get it. I think they are forcing me to go to a non profit and apply for legal assitance at this point as I will be severely injured because of the waiting and non - reponse in 2 months😪

Desired outcome: Please process Renewal🙏🙏🙏🙏

Florida Department of Revenue Child support

I have attempted for 4 years to get an arrears issue resolved. The case worker quit responding to the state I live in child support office and they effectively closed the case and stopped enforcement for Florida.

The case worker has refused to respond to my requests for a payment history and correct arrears amount and filed a petition for modification on my behalf without my consent or request, but refuses to allow me to speak with the attorney that filed this motion on my behalf.

They DOR states I am so far in arrears but yet garnish money every month for current orders as well as arrears but have been holding the overages for more than 2.5 years, refusing to give the money to my kids because they dont even know how much I owe in back support.

I tried to contact a private attorney, but was told that because the DOR is representing us that they would not be able to also represent us., however, i cannot get any answers from the DOR attorney about our case.

Desired outcome: I want to get the arrears issue resolved and get a new case worker that is competent and actually does their job.

Florida Department of Revenue Child support

It was on 09/30/ 2022. I took 2 hours off work to listen to this judge and finally have a temporary solution. He said on record that I will be getting 300 something per month starting 10/15. I reached out to the Department of revenue regarding the temporary child support that was issued by the judge on the last hearing, and I was told that they need an order to start enforcement . There’s no updated information since the last hearing. I called the records division, and they are unable to provide any documents regarding this matter.

I have spoken to multiple people about the request. I was told that they are waiting for an order (paperwork) from the clerk of courts to proceed with the enforcement.

To this date, there are no updated information on the clerk's website as far as what took place on that hearing from September. I don't see it on there and no one seems to know. I would like to get a copy of that hearing with the judge signatures to provide child support so they could work on getting this case going.

Desired outcome: I would like to get a copy of that hearing with the judge signatures to provide child support so they could work on getting this case going.

Florida Department of Revenue Wrongful denial of application

I missed my renewal of benefits for food stamps and had to reapply because my assistance was terminated.I applied 9/22/22 and received notice 10/13/22 to submit requested verification and call to schedule a interview. Note: when I reapplied for some reason my account wouldn’t allow me to submit a new application only an application for additional benefits along with ebt. The verification documents were specifically to verify if I qualify for those extra benefits not for my ebt. I uploaded a document 10/13/22 stating I’m only apply for ebt no additional benefits and that my information is current and correct. I called for days in a row and the automated machine stated” we are no longer doing interviews and will call back if any additional information is needed” and hung up so I could not get through to an actual person. On 10/21 22 the last date to schedule an appointment I called around 12pm and waited on hold until I got a representative at 2pm. I informed her of my name and why I was calling she then told me sorry but we are no longer doing interviews and I didn’t need one .if they need any information to help determine my eligibility they will call me back and asked if that was all then disconnected the call. At 10:42 pm on 10/21/22 I got an email stating I have a notice in my account to log and view. The notice dated 10/24/22 stating received 10/22/22 stated I missed my interview and it was my responsibility to call or walk in and my application would be denied 30 days from my submission date which obviously is the date of the notice.I literally tried for an interview and was turned away because they stated it wasn’t required then turned around and denied me for a lie. I’m in desperate need of food assistance and need the denial to be overturned and my application approved.

Desired outcome: Overturned wrongful denied application and be approved

Florida Department of Revenue Department of revenue of orlando child support failed to properly represent my child case at trial

This negligent department of revenue of child support in orlando failed my case after allowing my child case to be dragged for almost 4 years in court , these people was extremely negligent had the worst attitute and their attorneys helped the other side by providing them confidential info that was never court ordered, after almost four years of their irreponsibilty my child lost his case in court with a horrible officer that also helped the other side, I was even in contact with the tallahasse office but after years of dealing with them they ended up protecting each other and their inep attorneys at court failed to present the evidence properly which caused my child to lose his case, they should be investigated they are rude negligent and their inep attorneys always helped opposing atorneys. we wasted almost four years for nothing and thanks to them my child wont even receive the retroactive, a total corrupted system.

Desired outcome: is too late for them to fix anything they already helped the other side to destoy my child case good job.

Florida Department of Revenue Contemp judgment

I recently received a contempt judgment from the courts say that I was in contempt of non payment and I was having my payments taking out of my disability every month the judge or hearing officer Raul Rojas in his judgment stated that I was accused of working under the table with 1 no proof and 2 that is a accusation that I am breaking the law and risking the loss of my benefits and possible prosecution for insurance fraud I am 100%disabled with neuropathy and foot drop and I find his judgment offensive and speculation on Mr Rojas and I ended up paying 5,000 dollars for wich I had to barrow the money from my family and I have to pay it back. I am also informing them I out of kindness to my children that my ex wife dosen't let me speak to, told her to file for disability from my disability and they are infact receiving 270 per child so that's $810.00 on top of the $995.00 she's receiving from child support so that's 1,805.00 she's receiving while I'm living off of $795.00 per month way under the poverty level I have a hearing scheduled for September 27th with Mr Rojas again and I'm hoping for a proper resolution to this injustice and hopefully I will but I'm skeptical because I believe Mr Rojas is biased and not objective towards me please respond to this I'm desperate and at the end of my rope

Florida Department of Revenue Re: snap application

Here we go again. Back in February of this year, 2022 I applied for food stamps (SNAP), and because the case worker predetermined she didn't like me (probably because I'm white) she denied me for food stamps, even though I uploaded all the documents she requested, except for my 2021 tax returns; which I hadn't done, because I didn't receive my 1099 at the time. Anyway, I just applied again on 7/31/22, and am going through just as much as I did in February. I uploaded everything on 7/31/22 which included his last 2 paystubs (he gets paid every other week), my 2021 tax returns, gas receipts for a month, and car repairs from January through July. In addition, I wrote the case worker a letter explaining everything. On 8/12/22 I received a notice from the case worker showing the following: (We need to have a phone interview with you to determine your eligibility or to continue your benefits. Please call [protected] on or before August 22, 2022 between the hours of 7:00 A.M and 3:00 P.M for your phone interview. To finish your application, we need the following information no later than ten days from the date of your interview. *Proof of all gross income from the last 4 weeks using the "Verification Of Employment/Loss Of Income" form or you may send in your last 4 pay stubs. So, he uploaded his last 4 pay stubs), even though that is 2 months' worth of pay, and then I called the case worker Joe on Friday, 8/12. Since Joe's voice mail immediately came on, I left my information for a call back. Then I called the case worker again on Monday, 8/15 and once again left my information. Since Joe never returned my calls, I decided to call the toll-free number. I had a phone interview with Ms. Foster. After the interview, Ms. Foster asked Brad if he uploaded his pay stubs, and Brad told her yes. She then told me that she would get the information over to the case worker. Needless to say, the next time I checked the case there was a message on the food assistance details saying electronic verification needed. Not knowing what this meant, I went to Office Depot and faxed all the previously uploaded documents. Now it still shows verification needed. In my opinion, this is uncalled for, and totally frustrating. What verification could it be that he needs. It seems like he too, is acting just like the case worker I had in February. Maybe it's because I'm a white male, and not an illegal immigrant. I truly don't want to believe this to be the fact, but what else am I to believe. It's like the case workers will do all they can to make a person want to give up. I wonder how many of these poor individuals that get treated this bad end up homeless because of these uncaring, cold-hearted case workers.

Desired outcome: Please complete my application, and give me the assistance I so need, because I barely have enough money left to survive. :(

Florida Department of Revenue Child Support

I started my case 2/3/21. I moved here from out-of-state. I sent all the information from the other state, the whole file. I even did some of the work for them by getting his address and information. I understand it can a minute to get established. i gave a few months. It begins with, "we are waiting for the financial records from the other state." I call the other state they state they sent the documents. Then I get the "we received the documents just waiting to get a depository number." Two months later I email again (because we all know getting a hold of anyone is impossible and it just hangs up on me) "We are just waiting for the financial documents". Every two months I have emailed them (by the way they do not respond in five days) I get one of those two responses. I can go to the website, which is horrible, and it is pointless because there is no information I never get updates, nothing. I try to go the office located on Google just to find out they moved. This case is already established, no disagreements, no issues. I am still here on 8/2022 and still have nothing.

This department is doing a disservice to the children by taking this long. The department needs a overhaul. If the state had to pay the custodial parent and get the support from the non-custodial parent it wouldn't take this long.

I have email traffic in regards to all this nonsense.

Desired outcome: I would like my case to be addressed. The depository number added. I want the money my child is owed and will be continued to get for several more years.

Florida Department of Revenue Inability to reach the Florida Department of Children and Families

The Florida Department of Children and Families ACCESS toll-free number is practically useless. There is no contact or email address on the website to assist you if you have a problem other than the listed ones. You can not reach a live person at all on the 800 number. I called many days and the times I was instructed to. This is to recertify my food stamps. Nothing has changed with me and there is nothing else to produce for them. No one answers the phone and the person's number in the voicemail box is full.

Desired outcome: Answer the phone or find another way to respond to me, I'm upholding my end but I get no response.
