This company is a joke! Our company had a very urgent parcel that was needed to be delivered to Royal Swazi Sun for permits. At 8:30 they were called to come pick up the parcel for delivery the next day. They said they had no problem and it will be picked up a.s.a.p. At 10 o clock still no driver and they were called again. At 3 0 clco they were callaed again. At 3:45 we were told a driver was in the area and he will pick the parcel up soon. At 4:15 once again we called only to be told they do not pick up packages in our area ( CENTURION, PRETORIA?).
There total lack of communication and terrible service has cost our company thousands of Rands as one of our own drivers had to take this parcel to the border with a Swazi courier picking it up their.
Our entity will NEVER use them again!

OUR COMPANY IS BASED IN LESOTHO WITH CLIENTS IN SOUTH AFRICA AND USA WHICH CALLS FOR CONSTANT FLOW OF DOCS AND SAMPLES VIA DHL AND THERE SERVICE JUST SEEMS TO GET WORSE AND WORSE AS FOR FEEDBACK AND COMPLAINTS THEY JUST IGNORE A PERSON PARCELS ARE NOT COLLECTED ON TIME OR DELIVERED AND ONLY WHEN IT SUITS THEM DO THEY WORK.
DHL in South Africa IS A JOKE. It has NOT improved, their bad service is very consistent. And it has not been changed for the past 6 years I have been using their service. The people is rude, any request require them to do more than picking up the phone, they started to get rude and simply pass the job around or ask you to call back and not once anyone has helped to solve a problem in an efficient and professional manner.
DHL South africa - Such an unreliable service and so much arrogance! Never came for a pick up, I had to call them 6 times, was put on hold and my calls were not returned. When I complained, the so called 'Customer Care Executive' hide herself behind the 'no legal liability' for poor service. Completely missed the point - no communication with their client - does not worth their high prices!
DHL in Botswana is a total Joke. I know how DHL likes to claim to be the better one while FedEx is the actual Joke. Well, don't fall for it. Both are equally bad. I thought DHL would be better and had two of my parcels sent by DHL. one from the UK and the second from the US. Both parcels have been sitting at DHL for the past two weeks and all I'm getting on tracking is Clearance Event. If you call them the person who does the clearing is never available, as she's not at her office or on another line and we can't be put on hold. She doesn't reply or respond to emails sent to her. I've sent all the invoicing for the items in the two parcels but get nothing from them. they like to use Customs as their excuse, or backlog but that's not the truth. they are just plain lazy and can't work.
DHL in South Africa has been a nuisance and a messy one. I sent a shipment overseas to India on 9th of March through DHL Interational. Initially I booked it online paying 1750 rands through credit card and when it reached DHL International they informed me that I have to pay additional charges of 3000 rands as it was overweight. I transferred the amount through EFT and I thought everything was fine. But to my utter dismay I found they also debited my credit card for another 2325 rands. When I contacted them for refund the call centre informed me to contact the accounts which I did. Since the 10th March I have been writing a flurry of emails but still nobody has bothered to sort it out. I have never expected such a lackadaisical and shabby approach from a company of such a stature like DHL.
