Never ever buy a used car at Dick Smith Ford. I had the worst experience of my life there. The salespeople were so rude and unhelpful. They didn't even bother to listen to what I wanted or answer my questions properly. It was like they didn't care about selling me a car at all.
When I finally found a car that I liked, it turned out to be a complete lemon. It broke down just a week after I bought it. I had to spend a fortune on repairs, and even then, it still wasn't running properly. It was a total waste of my hard-earned money.
On top of that, the customer service at Dick Smith Ford was absolutely terrible. They were never available when I needed them, and when I did manage to get a hold of someone, they were extremely unhelpful. It was like pulling teeth just to get any kind of assistance.
I would never recommend Dick Smith Ford to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else for your car needs. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Dick Smith Ford is absolutely terrible, from the representatives to the manager. My vehicle has been sitting there for nearly four weeks, waiting for a steering rack that they promised to expedite. They told me they paid for it on January 11th.?

I had the best experience on 9/7, *** and *** my transition into a new car great. The deal they created for me save me 18 payments. I am currently leaving here today in a brand new 2021 *** Escape. I am truly grateful for all their help in making it possible for me today. I would recommend Dick Smith Ford to all my family and friends.
I bought a used car from them
I bought a used car from them. They said it had some damage, but it was fixed and only needed a few small repairs. They said it passed inspection with no problems. I took it to a shop and they told me that bolts were welded in place and there were other issues that would cost $1600-$1800 to fix. They also said the car would always have uneven tire wear. Don't buy from *** and especially not this shady dealership. They priced the car at over 10k, but it was only worth 5k, if that.

I went to Dick Smith Ford to get my car checked for selling. I met J.P. who explained everything in a simple way and told me what I needed to bring to finish the deal. We agreed on the price, filled out some forms, and I was able to go home in about an hour. Before I left, J.P. said he wanted to double-check my car to make sure I didn't forget anything. It feels like they really care here, so I'll definitely come back when I'm ready for my next car!

The service department and the service manager are terrible. I had my car towed to the dealership on a Wednesday morning. I had to call multiple times throughout the day to ask about the problem and they finally got back to me later that day to say it wouldn't be ready until the next day. They said it was covered by my extended warranty but refused to give me a loaner car because they waited until the rental car company was closing. The next day, I had to call multiple times and they still hadn't fixed my car and still no rental car. They didn't fix my car until that Friday afternoon, so I went 2 days without transportation for a repair that was covered by my extended warranty. I had to bring my car in two more times within the next two weeks and finally asked to speak with the service manager who was very arrogant and shady. I don't recommend this dealership to anyone.

Do not sell your vehicle to this scam of a company. They agreed to purchase my 2017 Ford Edge Sport for 26k. I have it financed through *** and I owed 17496.00. They paid my vehicle off on March 30th. I haven't been back to *** so it is still registered through ***, which does things a little differently. I was worried about that and was told they do this all the time, it will not be a problem. 7-10 days max and I will have my money. I said, "Are you sure?" and offered to help because I do know how it works. He said, "Absolutely, you're in good hands. We have been around for many years." Well, it is April 16th and I haven't been paid. I have been calling, leaving messages, texts, and emails. *** will not return my call. I did call on the 13th and was highly mad. I cussed and yelled because they lied to me and acted like I'm lying about what I was told, and so cocky. Plus, they continue to ignore my messages. If I didn't need the money, I never would have sold it. I've been told *** mailed the title on April 5th. I have sent multiple things back and forth over the years and 4 business days is all it takes. But, they claim to not have it. I have a hard time believing that and *** will not answer my emails, Facebook posts, or texts. I just want my car back at this point. I feel like they have stolen it from me.

I would rate Dick Smith Ford as 0 stars if I could. I recently bought a car from them in Raytown, MO through the end of lease buyback option. The contract clearly stated the price, including fees. However, when I got to the dealership, they told me the price was $500 more than what was stated in the contract. I showed them the contract, and they eventually reduced the price to the correct amount. I wrote a check, which cleared my bank the next day, and was told that I would receive the title in 7 to 10 business days.
However, things took a turn from there. When I went to the finance manager's office to sign some paperwork, he questioned why I didn't pay the extra $500. I showed him the contract again, and he continued with the transaction. I expected to receive the title within the promised timeframe, but on the 11th business day, I called Dick Smith Ford to inquire about its whereabouts. They gave me an excuse and said I would have it by the end of the week.
Unfortunately, the title still didn't arrive, so I called the salesperson multiple times, asking for an update. Each time, they simply told me it was on its way. Finally, after 21 business days and 29 days since I wrote the check, I decided to visit the dealership in person. The salesperson took me to their cubicle, made a phone call to someone, and then relayed to me that the fund transfer had just gone through. They said it would be another week before I received the title.
At that point, I felt helpless. They already had my money, and there was nothing I could do. I drove home, and a few hours later, the salesperson called me to say that the title had miraculously arrived. My guess is that the title had been there within the promised 7-10 business days, but they were holding it hostage because I didn't pay the extra $500.
After this experience, I have decided to never do business with Dick Smith Ford again.
