I sent my tcm core to get rebuilt for $495.00 After 3 weeks they said can not be repair, but the have a new rebuilt for $1500. I ordered it since my customer is anxious to get is truck back. Got the new computer and the new tcm wasn't able to communicate with the scanner. After long weeks with support (very difficult to get a hold of some one. support is almost non existing) to try to get this resolved I decided to send it back for a refund. Finally they declined the refund because it was 10 days late after the 60 days return. Not only they stealing my $1500.00 but they have the original core and the new computer. Totally a rip off. Use it at your own risk.

Sent my ECM in they said they couldnt fix it and wanted to charge me another $1100 bucks on top of the 500 I already spent. I can get a new one for 1200 so I had them send it back. Well should of saw these reviews or read the return policy because they basically dont do anything and take your money. Horrible company that doesnt respond. Thanks for nothing.

Went through 3 ecm with them. According to them they were quality tested. My mechanic said different. Truck wouldn't start put out codes. Finally got 3rd one in and got it tested from cat dealer and again no good. Wasted 1500.00 on labor swapping them all out and 1700.00 on ecm I couldn't use. No call back or email. Filed with bbb and consumer affairs for refund. Never work with these crooks
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... I purchased a ECM for a C-15 Caterpillar for $1995.00 and upon receiving the unit, we installed it to learn that the unit would NOT START the truck. I was instructed to send the unit back for a refund, and I was charged $895 for sending it, therefore I received a refund of $1100. Every time I've attempted to reach out to someone, I'm always told I have to contact them via email, but in the process of you purchasing you can get LIVE help each and every time you call. These are some STONE COLD THEIVES, AND DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PRODUCT THEY SELL YOU AND DEFINITELY DON'T CARE BOUT CUSTOMERS.

I can't say I had a good time using Diesel ECM Exchange (dieselecmexchange.com). They ain't worth no stars in my book - nothing but trouble! It seemed like they took my ECM and then disappeared into the ether - I couldn't get ahold of them no matter how much I tried. They didn't even have an answering machine or anything like that. I'm pretty dang sure I got scammed by these folks. They claimed they had an "iron clad guarantee" but that ain't worth a lick if they're not even picking up the phone.
Honestly, I'm real peeved that I fell for this. I feel like a sucker to be honest. And to top it all off, I have no idea how I'm going to get my money back. It's like these folks just disappeared off the face of the earth.
In short, don't go with Diesel ECM Exchange. They're nothing but a bunch of fraudsters. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

I recently purchased an ecm from dieselecmexchange.com for my truck and it ended up causing a lot of problems. I contacted their customer service and they advised me to return the ecm which I did. However, when I received my refund, I noticed that $300 was missing. They claimed that the ecm would have worked perfectly fine if I had just done a relearn, but when I called tech support, they never mentioned anything about a relearn. One of the guys from customer service even treated me poorly and acted like it was my fault for not knowing what to do, despite their website claiming that the ecm was plug-and-play and didn't require any additional steps. Needless to say, I'm extremely displeased with the service I received from these guys.

I really should have done my homework and checked out the reviews online before I went ahead and bought an ECM from Diesel ECM Exchange. I've been waiting for what seems like forever, and despite sending countless emails and calling them non-stop, my efforts have been in vain. It seems like I'm not the only one with this problem - I've read other reviews that have had the same issue. They'll eventually get back to you, but only to let you know that your ECM isn't programmable. That's when they'll offer you a fully guaranteed replacement with a lifetime warranty - but once you hand over your cash, they're as quiet as a mouse. I'm kicking myself for falling for it - it's cost me a fortune and taken up so much of my time. I'm thinking about taking legal action, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle. Believe me, if you're thinking about buying from these guys, don't bother. Save yourself some trouble and find another provider.
Terrible Experience with Diesel ECM Exchange - Poor Customer Service and Unprofessionalism
This was my first time using Diesel ECM Exchange and it was not a good experience at all. I was shocked to see how poor the customer service was. The whole process was very unprofessional. When I received my Cummins ECM back from them there was no contact or literature with the ECM which was troubling. I wasted a lot of my time trying to troubleshoot my engine which ended up costing me money. Not only that but my company lost time because of this issue.
I tried calling them so many times! After about 100 phone calls they finally picked up the phone three weeks later. Can you imagine that? Three whole weeks of waiting for a response. When they finally answered, they informed me that the ECM could not be repaired. I had informed them about the lost time that my company had faced but their response was appalling. They told me they "did not care." Can you believe that? Their attitude was downright rude.
I would highly recommend not working with Diesel ECM Exchange. These people are just looking to take your money and waste your time. They are jokers and do not have a clue about customer service. So, please stay away from them!
Terrible Experience with Diesel ECM Exchange - Do Not Recommend Their Services
We initially sent off an ECM to be repaired, but were extremely disappointed when it was returned to us in the exact same condition as when it was sent off. We immediately contacted the company to make them aware of the issue, as we needed the ECM fixed urgently, but were met with little assistance. They requested that we send the ECM back for a second time, while we requested a refund instead.
The communication with Diesel ECM Exchange was far from satisfactory, as they did not answer the phone half of the time and when we did manage to get through to someone, they were unhelpful and unwilling to assist us. We were informed that our request for a refund would be escalated, but to our dismay, we did not receive any refund and they never got in touch with us later on.
I contacted them again today, and to my surprise, was told that it was too late for a refund, even though we had previously received assurance that we would receive one. They claimed they would need to escalate our request again but were unable to provide me with any assurance when I could expect any kind of response to our request. I was left feeling extremely frustrated, as no one would call me back, and I felt that I was left in the dark. The whole process was grossly unfair, and I was disappointed at the lack of assistance provided by Diesel ECM Exchange.
The two people I spoke to during my attempts to resolve the issue were Ryan and Brian, and neither provided me with any help or resolution for my problem.
My complaint is the same as everyone else sent me 3 bad ECMs before I broke down a bought a new one from Cat.
They will not respond to any of my messages or send my old ECM back. I'm out $2700.
Sent a ecm with a broken clip and returned it and sent the same ecm back. Would not refund even tho they never sent a part in proper working order. Don't wast your time. There is better companies out there
Ordered two ecms and returned both due to not working, never received credit for either one. Manager Bryan is the worst, do not do business with ever for any reason! You’ve been warned!

THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY! do not use them. I blame you Google for allowing them the top spot in your search engine! I sent the original ECM in good faith for repairs. They told me core was unrepairable and charged me $2000 U.S. for another core. It was the wrong ECM for my engine. I asked for a refund of money and my original ECM. I sent their core back to them and I still have not received any funds or my original ECM. At first they would respond to my calls but gave a different answer for progress update of my returns. When I started questioning the excuses for length of time on return Brian started giving an attitude and screamed at me "I don't care". Billing department does not answer emails ever. Now they do not calls or texts. As they screen their calls to avoid people.
Claimed loss: I have not lost $2000 U.S. cash and an ECM that will cost me another $2000 to replace for a core to start over.
Desired outcome: I just want all money and my original core returned.
