Digital River unauthorised charge to my credit card

Another similar complaint. I have tried to track it down through AMEX, but without success - they said that it was probably for Norton, but I pay them directly, so it wasn't for them. The details were: Dec 9 2011, $169.90 (NZD) and same date $19.95. If anything can be tracked, I would be most appreciative! Thanks.

I have now found out what the charge was for - it was not unauthorised, but it was a bit unusual for me to do. My apologies to Digital River - I find nothing wrong with their systems.

Digital River unauthorized credit card charges

I purchased a Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 + Back up Media from Digital River International online. However the company has taken a payment from my credit card on 17/11/2011 twice. The one with unauthorized charged and incorrect amount from Digital River International Luxembourg. The authorized charged with the correct amount was from Digital River International SARL. Why was it charged twice from the same company but with a different location? What a rip off! Anyway, I rang my bank to dispute the unauthorized charges from Luxembourg and to get recredit, apparently will take approx. 14 days. Finger crossed!

I have found that an unauthorised transaction of $AU30.99 has been withdrawn from my Visa Credit Card. Please reimburse me this money immediately . I did not request anything from Digital River and therefore you have no right to take this money.

Digital River software does not work

Purchased "RipThatMusic" supposedly this allows you to rip audio from Youtube videos and convert to MP3 format. Paid by credit card. Was provided a link to download the app. After doing so gave it a try. It did not work. Contacted help and was advised that Youtube had changed it's rendering codes and an up date would be provided on 11/8/2011. This did not happen and still hasn't. Have sent various e-mails and all have been ignored Requested a refund and have been ignored. Checked this company out with the BBB and it has 646 complaints against it in the last three years for similar actions. So I added another.

Registry Victor Scan and Repair PC I got billed $53.85 and a extended download status. Tried to contact them none of contact info returned!! Then after downloading I got BLUE SCREEN Microsoft said this site is known for Trojans!! and I think they are scammers as well!

Digital River the software does not work as advertized

RegNow_DIGITAL RIVER
10 days ago I purchased for a price of 19$ a software to reset my lost administrator password on my samsung netbook. The company site is http://www.resetwindowspassword.net and the software they sell is called Total Windows Password Reset. When I paid I saw that I was billed by RegNow_DIGITAL RIVER so I am not sure what the real company name is.
The ad of this company and its support page says its software can be installed on a USB memory from which it will boot to my netbook. However the software can only be installed on a CD/DVD which is an optical reader my netbook does not have.
I wrote to the customer service mentionned on my bill http://www.regnow.com/help.html but get no answer at all.
I have no way to recuperate my 19$. This must be a scam.

Digital River unauthorized charge/fraud

These people are theives. How they operate is that they first test the card for $1.00 under a .com name. The charge went through on my debit card under the name OTL*SCORESENSE.COM [protected] TX. If the charge goes through, then they go for the big money. Right after this charge went through, they tried swiping my card for $12, 000 twice. This triggered a block on my card right away because it was from out of the country and of the large amount. My bank told me the theives that tried to steal my bank account showed up under the name Digital River, Luxembourg. Thank god my bank automatically blocks out of the country charges. They think that by only charging $1.00 that people won't bother to file a police report and that they'll get away with their scam. People should be smart and file a report anyways. I'm not going to wait for them to make off with more money before I do something about it. My bank also thinks that the scam in testing the card and then running it again for larger amount are related. There might be some investigative unit out there that needs this info to bring them down. From what I've read, there are already a lot of people getting scammed.

The Ultimate Facial my understanding was that i receive the package and pay postage the i have so many days to decide if i want this product. I have not used this product and have already been charged $78.41 to my checking account. When i tried to cancel they canced me but i still have to pay for the one that i do not order. I have tried to get in touch with them so i can return it. I just want the $78.41 refund. Dawn

Digital River credit card debit

I was also charged via debit card from this company! $79. 95 us dollars. .
Thankfully, my bank stopped the six charges of $79. 95 each from processing so my account seems safe at the moment. . I'd truly love to know if anyone out there knows who this company is and how in the world they were able to hack into my account. .

Digital River scam

SCAM! Digital River! iPhone Unlock.. Do not buy!

There is currently no software to UNLOCK iphone 4 firmware 4.1 / baseband 2.14.4; however, you would not get that from the creative advertising and cool looking banners that about 5 SWREG / Digital River affiliates use to hook suckers like me in! I googled "iphone 4 4.1 unlock" and several DR sites boadly promoted that anyone could "UNLOCK ANY iPHONE UP TO 4.1"- what can I say... I got suckered! I trusted this company based on history and I am very disappointed having bought several DR/SWREG branded products throughout the years.

I have sent countless emails, placed numerous calls... NO RESPONSE! Beware!

I made a purchase from a SWREG business, http://www.htcsimunlock.com/, paid the money didn't get the code, didn't get the refund.

I spoke to a few customer service people at SWREG and Digital River, my purchase number was recognised by all. All the staff I spoke to are powerless.

If you are having problems, and if you are prepared to be nice call Linda, she is a senior receptionist at Digital River which is the main company and has all the emails and contacts you would need. I got to her by accident on [protected], she was very helpful, understanding and put me through to a senior manager and gave me an email of a someone relevant and important if I got nowhere. Because I had already opened a dispute in PayPal the money was held, that is not in Digital River hands, the senior manager told me she was not able to make the refund. So rather than get into a stink with her I decided to wait it out to see if I got a refund through PayPal.

Fortunately I managed to get a refund through PayPal because SWREG didn't make a comment during the dispute (one is not covered for digital purchases in PayPal, unless the seller doesn't comment in a dispute, this is a very small loop hole one shouldn't rely on). So I didn't need to go back to Linda or email the important person.

Digital River product not required/credit requested

We have waiting for a refund of a charge made to our account on 4 October 2010 for $49.95. We requested this credit on receipt of our statement from American Express late October. the charge reference is [protected] al River 34071. As this product/service was not required, we cancelled and requested a credit. our Card details are 3760...1014. A possible reference no.[protected]. Digital River poor service, possible fraud

I purchased a Microsoft Office product through Digital River and was completely unable to download the product and also incurred some damage to my computer as a result. I called and asked for a refund, and the person told me they'd make a refund request. I then received an email telling me to click on a link to activate the refund, but when I did so, I was unable to access the activation form. So now I can't activate the SUPPOSED refund. I opened a dispute ticket with AMEX, so we'll see where that leads. No way I'm paying for something I never got. Why Microsoft uses this garbage operation is beyond me. Since I now need a new computer, I'm going to be purchasing a Mac. If Microsoft is in such bad shape they have to use this piece of crap company to sell their products, I want as little to do with them as possible.

I've used digital river to download many products including: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and the list goes on. Every time I've used Digital River's product I've been more than satisfied with their service. Now, I've actually paid the extra money for a physical copy of their product just in case, but so far have never had to open them.

Digital River payment of microsoft office pkg never received

On nov. 11 2010 after purchasing a new notebook, i decided to buy the microsoft office package for home and student. Payment, done electronically with my credit card Amex, was charged to my account with ref. no. [protected] on the same date above. However, I never received the package on my computer and the trial package I was offered on my new computer, has expired. What went wrong? Digital River fraudulent charges

Original Complaint: I noticed fradulent charges on my Master Card account on 11/24 of this year. One for $35.42 for "DRI Emicsoft FLV Conve regnow com cs LUX" and the other for $6.65 for "DRI Extended Download regnow com cs LUX". Apparently www.regnow.com is a company that sells software and my online research has determined they have had issues in the past with fraudulent charges. One intersting thing I found is that other people have reported frauduent charges through www.regnow.com on 11/24 of last year which peaked my curiosity. Could be part of the criminal's startegy, who knows. Hopefully they are caught and prosecuted and not many people have been effected by this unfortunate business.

New info: My research has found that "DRI" stands for Digital River International and "LUX" for Luxembourg Germany. Hope this helps other with similar issues with these folks.

Digital River unauthorized charges

Auto renewal, according to their customer service rep, is supposed to occur 1 week prior to expiration of internet protection service subscription. When I noticed the price of the renewal ($62.95), I decided to check the Trend Micro website myself. Digital River Inc. is the authorized reseller of Trend Micro software. I went directly to the Trend Micro website (www.trendmicro.com), and the same software was available to purchase for $39.95. I cancelled the policy they renewed for me at the higher price and purchased the lower priced package, and discovered my subscription did not expire until 12/22, and I could not do anything except destroy the current unexpired software in order to download the renewal. I would have lost a month of my subscription!

What a scam to think that so many people would allow this autorenewal at the higher price without checking, and unknowingly cut off a month of their current subscription upon downloading the software. The cost becomes $23 more than advertised on their website, plus the month loss equals $5.25, so your paying $28.25 more than you should unknowingly by their business practices.

I have used this company's software for years, and no longer will I give them my business.

Upon calling customer service, they reversed the charges, but would not comment on their practices other than to say they normally auto-renew one week prior to expiration.

I had a similar issue. The "autorenew" does not ever ask for any confirmation and I did NOT intend to renew due to major problems with their upgrades LOCKING up and causing complete uninstall, reinistall of product. I was not happy with the product. So after much being on hold and being cut off of their "customer service" number (one of those where you pick an option and it tells you where to go on the website, that you have already been, and then hangs up, NICE). I finally got a person who did not want to answer any questions about their autorenewal and then they refunded a partial refund - they kept almost 10%, what a restocking fee?! I will tell as many people as possible... don't use this company.

Digital River unauthorized use of credit card

Digital River International Luxembourg has taken a payment of $99.95 from my credit card on 27/10/2010 with out my knowledge or authorization. I do not even know anything about this company, what it does or where it is.
My credit card company has told me to try to contact it on the net but this is the only site I can find to try to recoup my money. Can you help?

I have been charged AUD$97.60 for a program DRI*Smart PC Fixer which I did not authorise payment for nor did I receive the program. This charge was made through my PayPal account via a Digital River invoice; 3FJJ5DE-A55XNT. I request that my money be refunded in full.

I have been fraudulently charged $35.95 from this company/business or whatever it is. I have never heard of this. I don't even know what they are fraudulently charging me for.
