Dis-Chem Pharmacies Covid testing

I went for test on the 09 June 2020 at the drive-through by Tablebay mall, Cape Town.
Received a sms to say I must collect results on Monday 15 June at the said testing station. When arrived, I was informed that it's a mistake and will receive a SMS or someone will call with results.
Still haven't heard anything.
Please advise what to do to get results.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Chronic medication

My chronic meds perscription ran out end january 2020. I had an appointment with my doctor, dr elsa van duuren on 20 febr. A day before the appointment her receptionist phoned me... The dr was in isolation for the carona virus after attending a medical conference in london. My appointment was moved to end march. Then the covid 19 shutdown began. I explained to the pharmacy my problem. They said I must have a new perscription. The doctor e-mailed a 6-month perscription directly to dischem but they only accepted it for one month! We are under munisipal lockdown. I cannot drive to pretoria to get the original perscription!
Mr victor blunn, the pharmisist, refused to understand. His rules say you must have a original perscription and thats that!
I have been buying from his pharmacy for many years and I use the same chronic medication for years! One would expect that under the present difficult circumstances of lockdown that it would be understood!
My next appointment with my dr is 25 june and I have ran out of some of my medication. What am I supposed to do?

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Very unfriendly staff

I went there to buy morning after pills and when I got there and told the lady what I wanted to buy. Yhooo she just gave me a note pad and I just filled in and I left others that needed to be filled in but I was not aware and I can tell u right now I do not know what she said but I just assumed that there is something that I needed to fill in. When I asked if I can use my medical aid she just said "I don't know" yhoooo I don't know if she was like that because I was buying a morning after pill but hayi shame your pharmacist are going against your slogan.

Could someone use my card number and thoroughly check what is going on.
I have attached a screenshot in my previous mail also showing the amount of points I have, which is

However this is the response I received (below)
I have seen plenty of the same complaints on social media from other expecting moms.
Is this legit or a waste of time and money spent to accumulate points?
Now there will be an added delay with the turnaround time for the bag. So what Is the point?

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Online order cancelled but no refund

On 22 May I placed an online order totalling R627 and R100 of loyalty points and the balance from my credit card. When I checked the status of my order it was cancelled. I did not cancel it. Ive sent an email to customer care and theres been no response. Attempts to contact them telephonically are futile because their lines are always "busy". Id like a refund of my money and the points. It is concerning to note that this seems to be a common problem frpm the posts here. Is it not perhaps tome to report this to the Consumer Services Board? If I dont receive a reply soon then I most certainly will. What a pathetic service offering from this company!

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Cloth face masks

Good day

I wish to let you know that I bought two cloth face masks from Dischem in Rosebank Mall on Sunday 25 May 2020. Unfortunately, the one mask is way too big and the other mask is way too small. I called in yesterday to report these misfits, but was told that I cannot return them. I am very disappointed about the purchase as there were no sizes on the packaging and to make matters worse, all masks were dumped into a big bin which overflowed. To try and dig into that bin was an impossible task as the masks kept on sliding off the overflow onto the floor. It would have made sense if these masks were sorted into various bins according to sizes (children & adults or with string or with elastic). There should also be disposable cheap quality masks to measure the size of the various sized masks before a purchase. There is no way that I will be able to purchase more of these masks because I might be wasting my money again. If possible, could these masks be replaced by the store even if they have to discard the ones I bought from them? I paid R100 for the two masks, but now I can't use them. I understand that they can't resell these masks, but they should have organised these masks better. I really like these cloth masks and bought two other masks from Dischem in Sandton City previously and they are perfect.

Please advise.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Order canceled by store without notification. EFT accepted via owzo. Not getting my money back

Online Order has been canceled by the store without reason or notification on the 10th of May 2020
Order Number: 706852

I paid with EFT via OWZO and payment was accepted
On the 11th of May 2020, when I logged in to check my delivery date I saw that my order was canceled, but I did not cancel it myself.

I have been struggling to get my money reversed. And the costumer care never answers the phone. I have used up about R50 airtime the last couple of weeks to get a hold of them.

I just want my money back A.S.A.P

I feel scammed

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Material facial mask

To whom it may concern, I've bought 6 x facial masks which each is packed individually, I have open one which I am using now and tried it on my kids, which they didn't like as they said they can't breath properly. I then took it back to the store in Lynwood Lane Retail Centre C0142625 for an exchange or refund, which they refused to take back. It is still in the same sealed packaging as I bought them. There is no information in yours stores that states, that there is no exchanges or refunds on facial mask nor did any of your cashiers consulted us that we can not return these facial masks. What I can't understand is that you can buy any other item in store and take it back for an exchange or refund as it also comes back from our homes. Dischem is robbing the vulnerable citizens of South Africa in this difficult times. Will never sit my foot in Dischem again. #sad what we have to deal with at Dischem. Regards Mrs Moah [protected]

Dis-Chem Pharmacies No delivery of online order

Good day

I refer online order #672010, placed on the 15th of April 2020.

It has been three weeks since I placed and paid (R1, 800) for this order, only to see on the tracking link that my parcel had been "Returned To Sender". I received no calls whatsoever to request assistance or to explain what had happened to my order.

I immediately contacted the customer care department and was told that my package will be delivered either the next day or the day after. I received no parcel, no phone call.

I then sent an email to the customer care email address, to which I received no response.

I phoned the customer care department again, and this time I was sent an email to confirm my address, into which the courier people were also copied. I responded immediately - and that was the last of it.

I tried to phone the customer care number again - no answer.

I phoned the Benmore Gardens branch where my order was assembled, and they promptly put my call through to the online department, where the call was dropped.

I sent another reply to the customer care agent, to request assistance and information. No reply.

I am at my wits end! Can I please just get the products I ordered and paid for? Those items are very much needed!

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Missing items

Refer to order #675352.

I have ordered online from Dischem on the 18th of April 2020. My order was packed by Nicolway Shopping Centre and delivered on the 21st of April 2020.
One of my items - Colgate Toothbrush Slim Soft Charcoal 1x17x2 pack, Barcode [protected], valued at R44.95, was charged for on the invoice but it was not delivered.

I contacted the careline - no response. I contacted head office and they said due to Covid-19, staff are working from home and I need to send an email to [protected]@dischem.co.za. I sent an email, still no response from that day. Its been 3 weeks.

I tried contacting the careline and head office numerous times and sent emails. STILL NO RESPONSE.

I contacted Nicolway Dischem, after waiting on the line for a long time, I explained to the lady my situation and she said she will put me through to the department, she didnt mention the department name, but transferred me anyway. The phone rang and rang and then cut off. I tried calling again, no answer.

I want my refund.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Await outstanding refund

Refer to order 675730. Items highlighted in pink (about half of my order) were not delivered. I am still awaiting refund, this is now already 3 weeks outstanding with no reply at all from Dischem. Numerous e-mails were sent but without getting any response.

Dischem is stealing money. I need this refund in order to purchase this very same items from my nearest Dischem store which has stock of these items available.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Unauthorized charge dischem bayside

In February I bought Somnil from the pharmacy.

In March someone called me in March to ask me if I had paid for it, which I had, and they said they had thought so and would rectify.

They didn't rectify and in April I was charged for that Somnil, with no warning, on top of my regular purchases.

Had I not checked my till slip I would never have known.

AND this is the SECOND time it has happened to me.

I called the pharmacy and they said they would call me back. They didn't.
A week later I called again - same thing.
Today I tried again - cannot get through.

It is DISGUSTING that this store cannot reconcile its pharmacy with its cashiers and that I, an honest shopper, have to pay for their mistakes and that they do not even advise that they are doing it but just sneakily deduct it hoping that I don't see.

I expect a refund and an apology and assurance it wont happen again!

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Safeguard - hand sanitser blueberry 150ml

Good day

I bought the above at Dis Chem Princess Crossing Roodepoort about 10 days ago.
the opening of the lid is too big when you squeeze a bit a lot of gel comes out and half is on the floor - what a waste!
Or the gel is not thick enough

Hope fully you can make a plan to get this rectified
We actully paid for the full tube and 50% to go wasted onto the floor.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Dispensary

On 16 April 2020, I visited Dischem Northridge Mall, Bloemfontein. I was "not helped" by the pharmacist Karla Watermeyer. I have been getting my chronic medication from this pharmacy for more years than I can remember. With my husband, we get about R5000 chronic medication per month. On approaching her she stated that she could not help me as I needed a new prescription. I left but then remembered that I had 3 empty boxes of medication in my handbag. I showed her that the prescription of 17 March 2020 indicated that I still had 2 months due on the current prescription. She stated that she did not scroll down the page. Some of the medication needed a new prescription but the most important ones could be given.

Arrogant and unfriendly and totally unprofessional is how I would describe this woman. Instead of apologizing she makes you feel like a criminal for wanting your chronic medication. I left as there is no bloody way that I will buy even a single Ponado from this place.

I will NEVER again put my foot in any Dischem. Sadly for you and happily for me, there are many better stores that offer the same service. Not to mentions all the hundreds of pharmacies.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Disgusting service received

I would just like to bring to the attention of management the absolutely disgusting treatment I received at Dischem. I have never been treated so badly in my entire life. I left my house Saturday, 11/04/2020, for the first time in three weeks, to go to Dischem at the Bluff Towers Shopping Center, to buy soya milk and food for my one year old baby, who has allergies and requires a special diet. He was not LOW on food, he was OUT of food and this trip was completely necessary.
Upon arriving at Bluff Towers I parked at the left of the parking lot, walked down towards the entrance and came to two queues… One on the left, where I had come from, and one on the right… Both queues were the same length, so I stood in the queue that came first - the left queue. The security then allowed our queue to enter and I went and stood in the next queue at Dischem which wrapped around to the post office. After standing in the queue for some time, nearing the entrance, myself and two other ladies in the queue got approached by a female security guard telling me I had to go stand in the queue outside. I told her I had already stood in the queue and she argued that I was in the wrong queue outside. There was absolutely NO signage outside directing people to the "right"queue. How was I ever to know that the queues for different shops? There was no signage, no markings and no one telling us which way to go. After arguing with her, two more male security guards came and started arguing with us saying that we had stood in the wrong queue and had to go back outside to the right queue. I said I had already stood in the queue outside and stood in the queue inside and am not standing in the queues twice. I am buying food for my baby and I am not going anywhere. Then I was approached by the Center management  and Dischem Manager, David, who tried to tell me the same thing. I explained to them that it was not my fault that there wa sno system in place, I had stood in both queues, thinking I was doing the right thing and I refused to go back outside and stand in two queues AGAIN! They then wanted to refuse me entry into Dischem. I walked in and got my baby's food. The center manager came to me and told me I was wasting my time as he made sure I wouldn't get service there. I went and stood in the queue regardless, as I had done nothing wrong. I was being punished due to a lack of system on the Center Management's side. When I got to a teller, she quickly logged off her till and ran away, childishly, this happened two more times which other tellers. No, sorry maam, but we've been instructed not to serve you, just ran away from me like I had the plague. No professionalism whatsoever! All the while the staff was smirking at me thinking this was a fat joke! Eventually I asked out loud who in the store though that this behavior was fair. That I was being deprived of buying food for my baby because Bluff Towers are lacking a system. One Indian Lady Employee even agreed with me, from a mothers point of view, and said she understood why I was upset. David then came and asked me to leave the store. I told David AGAIN that I had stood in two queues already, like everyone else and asked him to please answer me if he thought I had done anything wrong and if all this was all fair. He said I can't "scream and shout" at the people in there and I said again, but is it fair that you are depriving me buying food for my baby because Bluff Towers have no system in place. He couldn't even answer me and just walked away, clearly embarrassed because he knew that I wasn't in the wrong here. After some time realizing that they absolutely were not going to give me any service, I threw the goods on the floor and walked out. I then heard all the staff clapping and cheering, like they had won. How dare they embarrass me like that for trying to buy food for my baby. It was childish and disgusting!
I then called the Center Manager again and asked him to come outside with me, so that I could ask him to please show me where the system, or signage, or ANYTHING was, stating that there were separate queues for separate shops. He replied that I should have asked security. How much would it cost to print a piece of paper that could have eliminated all of this inconvenience? Why is it the customers responsibility to do the center's job? He then has the audacity to tell me that I shouldn't even be out, I should be staying at home. This is the first time I had left my home in three weeks and not to buy anything other than food for my baby and he still right to the very end had such a disgusting attitude towards me! I have never been so humiliated, angry, belittled and patronized in my entire life. I am a loyal customer at Dischem and have spent tens of thousands of rands there. I buy all my baby products, vitamins and medicine there and it's the first place I take my babies when they are ill. The staff even know me and my two babies there, they know my one son is sickly and to be treated that way because security apparently complained, when THEY weren't doing their job, when there is absolutely NO WAY of knowing that the queues were allocated for separate stores, I think it is absolutely disgusting behavior from ALL involved!
I am extremely disappointed in David for not standing up for me as a loyal customer when he knew very well that I had not done anything wrong.
I hope to hear back from someone regarding this matter, otherwise I will be taking it further.
I have already liaised with our ward councilor on the matter to be taken up with the Bluff Towers Management.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Online order

I am very disgusted in Dischem
They are false advertising, since they say they deliver but don't, quick to take your money but as soon as you don't receive your parcel there is no communication.

I have place an order online 13 March 2020
On the 15 March they said it has been handed over to the courier company,
As to date still no order no parcel delivery and still no answers!

I have contacted them, and are ignoring me aswell as when i phone the phone gets put down in my ear!

From my point of view, Dischem is a thieving company, they only steal and never deliver!

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Pharmacist intern service - unethical behaviour

Absolutely pathetic service receive at Dischem Carlswald by an INTERN! someone who is not even permanent staff at a dischem store. The intern named (V-Coets PI) at dischem carlswald has a very bad attitude towards patients. instead of apologising for the wrong information given to me, he laughed and walked away saying he will call his manager for me. I purchased meds yesterday and enquired if Plasmoquine was in stockas i am aware this medication is a problem everywhere currently. he said they had SOME stock left so i had the rx sent to the store to collect. when i get there today he says "why would i say we have stock if its out of stock, you heard wrong, im not stupid"..now why would i send though a script if he said its out of stock?

the manager refused to let him apologise and said she will speak to him. is this the service we get at dischem now? especially from an intern? he is a beginner npt the boss!

Good day my father was at dis-chem paarl mall I know there are rules and stuff because of the lockdown while he was waiting outside to go in the security did not let him in they only let the people with uniform in for example pick n pay correctional services and so on while he was standing since 11h30 and needs to get his chronic medication and this is really bad and for being a customer for so long to get this bad service
