Around three days ago i had submitted a feedback at DishTV site that some of the devotional channels (which were and still are in the list of channels available under
the pack) are not made available on my TV. There was no positive result. Today I
found the TV screen has gone blank with not even the DishTV logo thereon. I went to the rooftop. It appears that the Dish antenna is not connected. As a result we are
not able to view any programme on TV, leave aside, the devotional channels for which
i had submitted a request and DishTV was selected by us in the first place.
Today being saturday, I earnestly wish that a solution is found urgently.

Not hard to hook up a dish...I did direct TV myself...Mount Dish 4 bolts...Run wire down to the receiver...Aim the dish at the right area in the sky via set up menu in the receiver...Call Direct TV and give them your Receiver number and it works...Not really that hard to do...

I started dish tv connection on 2oth july.2012 in accordance with next recharge due date displayed 20th aug. After few days it shown 18th aug. After two days it shown 16th august. Today I got a call from dishtv customer care about dish tv experience ; I informed her about decreasing order of due date ; she told me that was done as per conversation with manish on [protected]. I told her this number does not belong to me and my number is [protected] which I already given on receipt on dtd 20/7/12 job no 4843.
When I asked to the representative how due date changed she says conversation took place with manish on mobile no7489960617 for cricket channel. Please resolve the complaint

Dish tv customer care service is waste of time. They didn ot respond immediately. After more than 10 minutes they respond and their reply was full of lies. Many times they disconnect calls while told me to hold.
My dc number is [protected] and I recharged for rs 200 on 4th august 2012 at 5.35pm. I received my account was recharged on mobile. I press my account button in remote it also shows that my account was recharged on 4th august 2012 and my next due date is 2012. But while turn on tv it shows like that "recharge your dishtv to available services". While contacting customer care they said like that check your viewing card and check your antenna position like that. We checked everything is perfect.
"i recharged at 5.35 pm but now the time is 10.35 pm on 4 th august 2012".
"i know the problem is they did not reactivate my account even though my account is recharged".

I have purchased a TV with full HD features and opted for Dishtv services. On the day of opting for Dishtv there was no HD transmission of releated technology. The VC No. is [protected] Subsequently HD set-top box and services were introduced and accordingly I have purchased new HD set-top box and also retained ordinary set-top box for future use if any. The HD service VC No.[protected]. Subsequently as there was continuos message on TV reading 'your set-top box might not be connected to tv properly or heavy rains disrupting signal. change channel or call service centre if problem persists'. Well called service centre. Service engineer inspected and changed a couple of pins and charged for it. The moment he left the problem appeared. He visited again and said the problem is with set-top box with HD facilities which should be replaced and it will cost Rs.2000/- and cannot be repaired. Just one year 05 months are somethings, the set-top box gone of HD gone. Well asked customer care people whether balance amount in HD pacakge can be transferred to non-HD package ? They said yes and asked us to e.mail to custome care. Done they replied the present rules does not permit. Cursing our fate paid fresh amount for the old set-top box for reacharge. From here our new ordeal started. Customer care people say contact the dealer. Dealer says we have re-charged and given slip to you and there ends the matter. Service people say try and talk to customer care they have to activate the service. TV shows 'wait your EPG is downloading' for an half hour. Later it asks to press OK button for downloading the channel. It takes more half hour and 100% down load is complete. Down loaded channels '0' and asks for details to press blue button on the remote. No reaction. And on pressing OK button as per the suggestion on tv screen the whole process starts again. Around Rs.5000/- stuck with Dist TV on both VC Nos. and the poor response and service - I do not know what is my next step, to ask local cable person to take over of switch to Hathway etc...

non updating in time my yearly subscription
I have a Gold Pack plan in my subscription and I had deposited my yearly subscription through SBI cheque no 906500 on 27/6/12 and the money was debited from my account on 29/6/12 to the franchisee of the Dish TV (Bharat Systems in Bangalore). The rates of the same pack has been revised by the company w.e.f. 02/7/12 and I have been asked to pay the difference between the enhanced rates and the old rates whereas its the fault on the part of the frachisee of the Dish TV. I had spoken to the Dish TV also (Mr Yogesh) ata around 4.40 pm on 2/7/12 who said that we are looking into the problem. No Result so far. Kindly intervene and get the matter resolved. I have multiple (parent & child) connection of dish tv. From last 4 months I face a same problem every time I recharge for a month and the date of my next recharge is display on my tv screen is wrong because of dish tv technical department and because of that I get 20 to 25 days instead of one month. I am not satisfied with dish tv service. Every time at the time of complaint they promise me that in future same problem'll not repeat but always I am disappointed. Information on my tv screen of next recharge date was 1 july 2012 but on 29 june 2012 my connections was deactivate and now if I recharge my connections they charge 21 rs per day as a penalty. I call many times on your customer care but always they couldn!t satisfied me. subscription renewal
I have been a dish tv customer for 5 years. On June 13th, I paid the monthly subscription charges, but it did not show up in Dish tv's system. (Transaction no: BIL/[protected]). I sent a mail and followed it up with a call to customer care where I was told that the television services would not be disconnected. However, the next morning, I found that all the channels had been disconnected. I called again, had to speak to supervisors etc to restore my connection. All Dish Tv did was postpone the due date for payment and asked me to re-pay saying that they would refund the money in 3 working days. My TV channels have been terminated again. Is this fair to the customer? I paid my dues on time. Dish TV's system is messed up and they expect me to re-pay the subscription charges, while my previous amount still hasn't been refunded to me? And the manager I spoke to at customer service desk says he is helpless! I wonder if they treat all customers this way, including actors who are their brand ambassadors!
Dish TV website is not at all consumer friendly, on renewal of subscription after providing financial details it will never give any confirmation message of the payment and no invoice copy. When called up at Call centre, executive will lodged the complaints or forward the call. Pathetic service.
Solution: In case you want to do the payment do it manually rather than using DISHTV website, I dont think it is secured website.
Till date I am trying to get an acknowledgement of the money I paid, if anybody knows any management representative contact details plz post it.

Lets get started..
Okay, after a pathetic experience with dishtv customer care, its sales department as well as service department, and a prolonged wait of over 4 days after booking the connection (booking date: 3rd june) , actual connection: 7 june (whoa! Over the phone, customer care promises a connection within 6 hours ! All I can say is - - bloody liars!) , I got a dishtv connection for my new lg 55" (55lm6200) 3d tv, which I recently got from the us. It's an ntsc tv, the reason for which I had to get a dth connection.
Okay, now most of the acquaintances (who happened to know about this incidence since I didn't go out of my home for 4 days, waiting for those lousy dishtv field boys to come and install the connection) , asked me, "why on earth did you even think about choosing dishtv?" I refuted their comments, saying - - "why?", "because they are giving 40 hd channels".
Now, little did I know this was the lamest answer I ever gave. 40 hd channels do not even exist in india. Only a handful (a dozen, or maybe 15) of hd channels are available.
So lets summarize the lies so far, on dishtv's part:
1. 40 hd channels do not, I repeat, do not exist. Only 3-4 channels come in actual hd quality, rest are just as good as sd.
My comments: their representative over the phone swore about "hd channels as per international quality standards"
2. For 3 consecutive days (After booking the connection) , their customer care & sales department kept telling me - - "sir, we called you, but you did not pick the call".
My comments: I was like what the f*** ? Who called me? Nobody ever called me. These ### were giving just a lame excuse, since it seems that they didn't have adequate staff for installation.
3. The picture quality of their sd channels is worse than what my cable connection was giving.
4. They told me about a service called movie-on-demand (16 movies per month for 35 rs. ).
My comments: it is just a channel which keeps broadcasting the same movie over and over (dishtv's choice of movie, not the customer's choice of movie! Yay! Now this service is wrongly named. Bloody deceivers
5. Now i'm just 2 days far into their connection, and voila! More than half of my channels have disappeared!
My comments: called their customer care, which always behaves as if the customer is to blame. Told me that "sir, you subscribed to hd world pack, and not the royale pack". I was like dishtv.. Why don't all of you just burn in hell (i didn't say this to their so-called-customer-representative though, lol). Their rep added, "we give all channels for 2 days, after which we start your regular pack "
Now, they have asked me to email their customer care. So here's how my email goes (its a bit cheeky, I agree)

I have already been harassed a lot by dish tv, its customer care and associates at the time I took the connection. I do not want any further harassment.
If you cannot provide what you promise, kindly refund my entire amount of 2290rs. And take your equipment away from my home.

Sir I, Mr Manoj Kumar has purchase a dish tv connection before 5 month ago. Presently setup box of my dish tv has error in working show signal not found. I complaint dish tv customer care about this and get complaint No [protected]. My setup box is under warranty period up to next six month. During purchasing this connection customer care told me that for one year your setup box will be repaired by us free of cost if any error. But after my complaint today mechanic who sent by the order against my complaint come my home to solve my dish tv setup box problem. Then he told me that your set up box become unserviceable due to some mechanical defect and he ask me money for repair of my setup box then I deny to give money because my setup box is under warranty period. after that dish tv mechanic return without repair my dish tv setup box.
