Sling Blue Package
Purchased the blue package to watch the World Series. Called representative to ensure if I signed up I could stream FS1. Guess what, game is on and I'm blacked out! I live west of Philadelphia -- over 3 hours from the Bronx! Requesting a refund? Impossible! Calling my bank on Monday to make certain they refuse payment -- I cancelled online but why would I trust the company?
Slings so-called college football package
Sling advertises a college football package stating that, you can watch all of the major college games on Sling. What they fail to tell you is that they break it up regionally so you can only watch games that are in your region and even if it’s a major national Top ranked game, there’s a very good chance you won’t be able to watch it. On top of that, the streaming service is very clunky and there are issues with recording. I contacted customer service to see if I could get a prorated refund and they told me that they don’t do refunds and that I could either cancel my subscription or lose $213 after only watching it for two weeks. Customer service was very unhelpful and to be honest, there really is no customer service because you only get to talk to one person and there is no other level. Pay a little extra and go to YouTube TV. It is completely worth it. You will waste your money going to Sling.
Recommendation: Avoid Sling and pay a little extra for YouTube TV. It’s totally worth it.
Sling TV - Rewards
I have had sling for a few months now, when they started the rewards on sling, they specifically put in comments saying X amount of people will depending on how many entries there are. I or my wife have watched sling everyday and have never heard of anyone winning. My thoughts are that have decided to keep it in the family so no one else will win. But after...

Sling TV - Sling ad
I am a customer of SLING and very happy. However, this is my complaint. As a parent I and I believe you too do all we can to teach our children manners. However, the recent ad being played on SLING shows several people Spi. Yes, Spitting, Spitting, Spitting. This is so awful and obnoxious. Just terrible. I have to teach my children never to do what they see...
Read full review of Sling TVMixed Experience with Sling TV
As someone who has explored the world of streaming services, I must say that my experience with Sling TV has been quite mixed. On one hand, the service offers a variety of channels and flexible streaming options, allowing you to customize your viewing experience. However, there have been significant issues reported by customers, such as constant buffering, loading problems, and unreliable customer service. It's disheartening to hear about these challenges faced by users, especially when it comes to technical issues and billing problems. While Sling TV may have its advantages in terms of channel lineup and pricing, it seems that improvements are needed in areas like service reliability and customer support. If you're considering Sling TV, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.
Really polite and fast customer service!
I forgot to cancel my SlingTV for the 2nd month, and they helped out with refunding it. Note that this was their first-time courtesy, so I don't know if they can do this again. Anyway, the guy was really polite and made reassured me that he was there to help me. The call probably took about 3-5 minutes which was really quick! I'm not sure about their other representatives, but mine was really great. As for the actual service, I think the pricing is still a lot for me. I only watched it for the NBA finals. There were also a lot of errors while the game was streaming.
Sling TV for smart tv's or I. Pads or desktops
Sling TV is only $20.00 a month. This is working well for us. It is giving d Dish and Direct a run for their money
Constantly loosing signal
There is not a night during prime time that the signal cuts out on major network NBC. Never resolved only getting worst. Not my network in the house it's business fast it is the transmission. Ruins the programing makes you avoid watching.
Good substitute for cable
In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
Wonderful customer service
I noticed I was chgd for service after cancelling the free trial. I got on the chat and chatted with a young man. Very helpful and nice. He looked up my acct apologized and my refund was bk on my card within 10min. Never had problems may be just different reps.
You can't beat this service!
This is by far the best of the cord-cutters, I have mine set up, paid 2 months in advance, and got a professional Roku device delivered to my house free. I have Sling apps on my computer plus the 3 TCL TV's in my house which have a built in Roku app. I also have a TV antenna set up in my house for FREE local channels, so for a mere $20. A month I get everything I can watch. Try Sling, I guarantee you can not beat it!
I only subscribed to Sling.com for Wimbledon 2023, but was DELIGHTED that I made this choice
I only subscribed to Sling.com for Wimbledon 2023, but after YEARS of dissatisfaction with ESPN, I have to say that Sling.com's coverage of Wimbledon 2023 was OUTSTANDING. I saw the BEST matches up close and personal compared to the diciest matches on ESPN on court 300. The only thing that surpasses Sling's coverage was HBO's coverage of Wimbledon years ago. That, too, was outstanding. I will subscribe to it every year going forward for Wimbledon. Thank you, Sling.com, for Wimbledon. Tennis is one of the few secret pleasures and you allowed me to watch the very best of it. Thank you kindly.
Afordable TV~!
When my "basic cable" went up to $80 a month I started looking around. I live in a wooded, rural area, so I can't use either an antenna or a dish. I got a roku ($50) and for $20 a month (and an internet connection) I can get both real time and streaming channels. No contracts, month-to-month payment. It doesn't replace broadcast TV or cable, but it is a real alternative. Downside, only works on 1 devise at a time (remember when we watched TV together as a family) and Sling doesn't transmit the big 3 (ABC, NBC, CBS), Check out the stations it does have, (ESPN, Disney, Lifetime) and the ability to add HBO for $15 a month at a time. Love it!
Sling TV's Poor Customer Service and Security Measures
I've been a Sling customer for a few years now, and I have to say, I'm not too happy with their recent actions. First off, I noticed that my bill had gone up without any notification of a rate hike. When I called customer service to inquire about it, they told me that I had added Portuguese channels to my account in February 2023. The thing is, I don't speak or read Portuguese, and I don't know anyone who does. The customer service representative then proceeded to tell me that I had been hacked and that it was my fault for using public Wi-Fi. But the thing is, I only access my accounts, including Sling, through my home Wi-Fi via my iPad or laptop, which never leave my house.
To make matters worse, the CSR refused to give me credit for the two months that the Portuguese channels were on my account. They wanted me to believe that someone had somehow managed to get past my motion detection cameras, disable my alarm system, get past my Doberman, and break into my locked safe to get the passwords for my iPad, laptop, and account passwords. Then, they got out undetected. It all seemed a bit far-fetched to me.
I had actually called Sling in early February when I started seeing some Middle Eastern advertisements and no mention of the addition of the Portuguese channels. After being belittled by the CSR, I found out that Sling had been hacked. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, and Sling responded by issuing a disconnect of my service effective April 29th, 2023. However, when I called Sling on April 5th, 2023, I was assured that there would be no service interruption.
Today, I found out that my credit card company had reversed my credit because Sling claimed that I had never informed them to cancel my service. But the thing is, I never cancelled my service. I only disputed the Portuguese channels. When I called Sling again, I was told to call Amazon because they had cancelled my service. But that wasn't true. When I called Sling again, I was informed that billing had issued the disconnect, and there was no way to stop my service from being disconnected on the 29th.
I've spent multiple hours on the phone with Sling customer service, and the CSR refused to let me speak to someone else. It's worth noting that the CSRs are in the Philippines, and English is not their native language. Sometimes, it's difficult to understand them.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Sling's customer service and their handling of this situation. I hope they can improve their communication and security measures in the future.
Sling TV Review: Affordable Price, Frustrating User Interface
The price of Sling TV is pretty good, but the user interface makes it so frustrating that it's not worth it. There are so many inconsistencies in their listing that it's hard to keep track of what you're watching. For example, sometimes one click will take you back to where you were, but other times it won't. And sometimes you'll be watching a show and try to pause it, but it will boot you out instead. Then you have to try to find the episode you were watching, which can be a real pain.
Say you were watching Episode 14 Season 3 of a show. You find the listing for the show itself, but sometimes you can double click a remote to get the listing of all the episodes, and sometimes you can't. And sometimes the list will have a description of the episode, but other times it won't. It's really inconsistent, and it can be hard to figure out what's going on.
One thing you can count on, though, is that when you click on any of the shows, you'll be forced to watch about 15 commercials before you get a hint about whether or not that's the episode you were watching. So if you're trying to hunt down a particular episode, you'll have to sit through a lot of commercials.
The system is supposed to have a section that lists "recently watched shows," but even that seems inconsistent. Sometimes the shows you watched will show up there, and sometimes they won't. It's really frustrating, and it can take a lot of time to find the show you were watching.
Overall, I've spent about an hour searching for the show I was watching, and I've given up. I'll be looking for another media venue. The pics I've included aren't great examples, but they're indicative of the entire system. There's no way to predict what a click of the remote will do, and there are no manuals or directions to help you figure it out. It's just too frustrating to deal with.
Sling TV Review: Decent, But Not Perfect - Annoyances to Consider Before Signing Up
I gotta say, I've been using Sling TV for a while now and it's been pretty decent. I mean, it took me a bit to get used to it, but once I did, it's been smooth sailing. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviews I've seen - it's not perfect.
One thing that really grinds my gears is when shows just disappear without warning. Like, I'll be in the middle of a binge-watch session and then all of a sudden, the show is just gone. No warning, no explanation, nothing. It's frustrating, to say the least. And don't even get me started on the fact that you can only watch the current season of a show. What if I want to go back and watch the old seasons? Tough luck, apparently.
But I will say this - if you're willing to put up with those annoyances, Sling TV is a pretty good deal. I mean, yeah, it's $39 a month for my package, which is definitely more than Netflix, but you do get a lot of channels for that price. And if you're someone who likes to watch live TV, it's definitely worth considering.
Now, I have seen some reviews where people say they were wrongfully charged or overcharged. If that's happened to you, don't just sit there and take it! Contact your credit card company and have them submit a chargeback. Trust me, it'll teach the company a lesson. And if you're on the phone with Sling customer service and they're giving you the runaround, just threaten to do a chargeback. They'll back down pretty quickly.
All in all, I'd say Sling TV is worth checking out if you're in the market for a streaming service. Just be prepared to deal with some annoyances along the way.
Sling TV: Crappy Service and Thieves - My Experience with Fraudulent Charges
I tried Sling TV over a year ago with their free 7 day trial. I wasn't impressed and cancelled it within 3 days. However, I was charged 5 days later and contacted Sling to find out that a duplicate email account was made using my card number. They refunded me the money within 24 hours, which was a relief.
Fast forward a year later, I was charged for Sling TV services again. I contacted them and was told that my card was attached to an email that is not mine. They sent me an email confirming the account was cancelled and told me that I would get my money back within 24 hours. However, when I contacted them again on Sunday 11-26-17, they told me that they could not find any transaction associated with my card and that the email I was originally told now has a different name and card number associated to it.
Billing sent me an email saying that they identified the account tied to the charges and have cancelled it to avoid any future charges. However, they were unable to refund any charges for the services on this account. They encouraged me to check with anyone in my household who might have access to my card information to ensure they did not order the service without my authorization. If I suspected any fraudulent activity on my card, I was told to contact my bank or card issuer immediately with a full description of the issue if I had not done so already.
I was frustrated because no one has my card number other than Sling. I have had no issues of fraud with my card for the last two years I have had it except for Sling! My household has not had internet since January of this year. I did a search on Google and saw plenty of similar claims. My bank is now doing their investigation into this. I have a feeling that I will not get my money back.
In my opinion, this company offers crappy service and are thieves. It's disappointing because I was hoping to find a good streaming service, but Sling TV has left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
It's funny they responded to you in an email. I wanted a refund and had called the number all over their website which went to an answering service that had no authority to actually do anything... including giving me an actual phone number. they instructed me to email for faster service.
fast forward 2 weeks and i still haven't received a response so I tried the chat feature and that is where i was informed they don't respond to emails. I explained the situation and the email i sent was to a valid email address and I never got a bounce-back.
In the end they refused me a refund, even though they could see i had never used the service, because it had been 'so' long since I was charged. Apparently it was my fault for not being to find the phone number that is 'very hard to find on our site' as directly stated by the customer uncare person.
I'm filing with the Attorney General because I having the incorrect contact information is deceptive at the very least and I know I'm not the only one with this issue.
I suggest you do the same... especially if they had a hack and never notified you.
Sling TV Review: A La Carte TV for Cord Cutters
I recently cut the cord on my cable subscription and said goodbye to my satellite TV after completing my contract. One of the things that really got to me about cable packages was the sheer number of channels in the 150 or 200 channel super mega package that I never ever watched, yet still had to pay for. With Sling TV, I can choose the channels I want to watch a la carte, which is a much better deal.
I put up an antenna and decided to stream everything else. Many cable TV stations, like ESPN, offer the ability to stream their live content over the internet. However, you can only do this if you subscribe to a cable or satellite provider. But if I have cable, why would I want to stream this? (rain fade, away from home with only my phone, etc.) But really! This whole TV thing is quite a racket.
Sling.tv provided a way for me to subscribe to ESPN and a few other channels without buying an expensive programming bundle or a two-year contract. For $20/month, I got a few stations I would normally watch without being burdened by a contract. It seemed like a pretty good deal. Their app works with a few devices, including Roku and ChromeCast. You can find a complete listing of stations and devices on their website.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work on my Apple TV (go figure). It seems if Apple doesn't offer it on iTunes, you can't play it on your Apple TV (partly true but mostly sarcasm). I find this Apple exclusionary practice frustrating. However, I do like the $20/month with no contract terms.
The catch is that if you have several TVs and several devices, you can only watch on one device at a time. So, if I'm watching ESPN and the missus wants to watch HGTV on another device, ESPN goes bye-bye. If I watch CNN on my iPhone and she's at home watching A&E, her program is interrupted. If you want viewing on more than one device simultaneously, you need multiple subscriptions at $20 each.
Watching NFL games via ESPN/Sling.tv stream was frustrating and sometimes unbearable. I have a 60MB internet connection, yet buffering, pixelation, and hiccups occur on various devices. I am not going back to cable or satellite, so I'll find somewhere to watch the big game if it isn't available over the air.
Overall, Sling TV is a good option for those who want to cut the cord on their cable subscription. It's affordable and offers a decent selection of channels. However, there are some limitations, like the one-device-at-a-time rule and the occasional streaming issues. But for $20/month, it's a pretty good deal.
Sling TV Review: Terrible Customer Service and Billing Practices
I'm giving Sling a one-star rating, but honestly, they don't even deserve that. I signed up for their one-week free trial and tried out all of their services. They gave me a deadline to make changes before the next billing cycle, so I cancelled most of their services a day before the deadline. This would have saved me over $80 a month.
But when I turned on my TV after the deadline, I still had access to the channels I unsubscribed from. I checked my credit card online and saw that they charged me the full amount. I called customer service right away and explained the situation. The representative told me that since I didn't have an email confirmation from them, they couldn't refund me. Instead, they offered me a credit for future services. I didn't think this was fair, so I emailed ***@sling.com immediately after the call.
I received several snippy emails from Sling, and every response said that the case was closed. I called customer service again and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said he couldn't issue a refund either. When I asked to speak to someone who could, he said there was no one there with that authority and no process to escalate the situation.
So I filed a complaint with my credit card company, explaining that I made the change in time and they didn't have my authorization to bill me. They gave me a temporary credit, but a week later, they took it back. Sling responded to the dispute and got the money back. They also terminated my service and didn't refund me for the unused portion.
I spent hours appealing this and faxed proof of the emails and comments from Sling to Chase. After reviewing my evidence, Chase agreed with me and took back the entire charge amount from Sling.
I'll never use Sling again, and I don't recommend anyone else use them either. But if you do use them, make sure to take a screenshot of the confirmation page when you make changes. And I hope you never have to deal with their customer service department.
Man, my customer unservice agent said there was no one else to speak to and refused to pass me on to his manager.
So many negative experiences and they all involve being overcharged and refused a refund. I filed with the Attorney General. Sounds extreme but I dont take it lightly when people take my money... I don't care how much or how little.

Sling TV Review: Frustrating Cancellation Process and Hidden Charges
I recently tried out Sling TV as I've been looking to cut the cord with my Direct TV service. I own several rental properties and provide cable and dish services for my tenants, so I wanted to see if Sling TV would be a good alternative. Overall, I would say it was just okay. However, I don't think it would be a good fit for my older tenants who may struggle with the user interface.
Now, here's where things get frustrating. I signed up for the 7-day free trial, which required me to provide my credit card information. I was told that I would be billed after the free trial expired, which seemed like a fair deal. I had a phone number to call to cancel, so I thought it would be easy enough to cancel before the trial ended.
On the seventh day of the trial, I called to cancel in the morning. However, I was told that my wait time would be over 10 minutes. I hung up and tried again in the afternoon, but was on hold for over 20 minutes before hanging up again. Finally, at 7:30 pm, after my kids were in bed, I was able to get through after a 35-minute wait. I cancelled the service and expressed my frustration to the customer service representative.
The next day, I checked my bank account statements and saw that I had been charged $24.99 by Sling TV. I called customer service thinking there was an error, but was told that I was charged because I cancelled after 2:10 pm on September 2, 2017. I was shocked and frustrated, as I had called three times and experienced long wait times. The representative told me that I could have used the internet to cancel, but I was out of town and didn't have access to the internet. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was connected with Christine in Texas.
Christine told me the same thing as the representative - that I had to cancel before 2:10 pm on September 2, 2017 to avoid being charged. She also told me that Sling TV is a prepaid company and that no monies can be refunded. I asked for information about their CEO, Roger Lynch, but was told that I had signed off on rights to a class action or something similar when I signed up for the free trial. I was confused and frustrated, and asked Christine if Sling TV was trying to convert people away from competitors or just trying to make them angry.
Overall, my "free" trial with Sling TV ended up costing me $24.99 for just 7 days of service. While the service itself was okay, the cancellation process was frustrating and the customer service representatives were not helpful. I would caution anyone considering a free trial with Sling TV to be aware of their cancellation policy and to cancel well before the deadline to avoid being charged.

On November 2, I signed up for a promotional package for my cousin on Sling TV using my credit card
On November 2, I signed up for a promotional package for my cousin on Sling TV using my credit card. The website mentioned that the package included local channels, which was great because my cousin wanted to watch SNY and YES Network, both of which are local cable channels. However, after signing up for the sports package add-on, I realized that it didn't include these local cable channels. The "AND MORE" mentioned on the website was misleading and falsely advertised, as it didn't mention that it didn't carry local cable channels. When I called to cancel right away, I was informed that I would have to pay for the rest of the month but could cancel immediately. I didn't believe the agent and was afraid that if I canceled now, my entire subscription would be canceled. I discussed this with my wife and we decided not to cancel immediately. On December 2nd, when I checked my bank statement to confirm my Social Security direct deposit, I noticed a charge of $70 from Sling TV. I filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs and was advised to file a complaint with the FTC, which I just did. It was difficult to explain my issue through their bot, but after several attempts, I was able to speak with a live agent. The conversation started off well, but as soon as I explained my situation, they referred me to the fine print. I argued that they carried Fox Sports, which is a local regional channel, and not carrying local cable channels is misleading advertising. I mentioned that I would contact the Better Business Bureau and ended the conversation. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. I want a refund of $70. Sling TV should include local channels in their Sling Guide for smart TVs. Sling subscribers should be able to find local channels like CBS and FOX on their smart TVs with Sling. Please check out the video to learn how to do this. My FTC Report Number is ***.
On Wednesday, July 12, I signed up for Sling TV online. I did this solely to watch the Wimbledon tennis tournament. Today, they will not allow me to sign in. I have tried almost 20 times. So much for the semi-finals that I paid to watch. I also telephoned them and, after a 30-minute wait, a non-English speaking operator took a long time just to get my email address correct, and finally hung up on me. It's been horrible. I paid $40 for this "service" and would like a refund. Thank you for your attention. Please see attachment of the page I get while trying to sign in.
I have been a loyal Sling subscriber since 2019. In each of the last two years (2021 and 2022), I have cancelled my subscription in the spring after the conclusion of March Madness and renewed again in the fall for football season. In April of this year, I did the same -- I cancelled using the site's automated chat feature. I was annoyed at myself for forgetting to cancel until after the monthly payment date because it meant I would be paying for an extra month unnecessarily. Fast forward to today, and I noticed that I have been getting charged still for my cancelled account despite not having accessed it a single time since spring (because I had cancelled it). I explained the issue to a chat representative on the company's customer service site, who was entirely unhelpful (and better yet, was even condescending!) and who did not even try to solve the issue. The customer service team, including Freida A, was at least more professional, but again did nothing to fix the error on Sling's end. Instead, they gave me boilerplate language about Sling being a prepaid service so no refund can be processed. This was a processing error on Sling's system and they are trying to pass along a cost of $183 to me for their mistake. Really quick way to lose a longtime subscriber.
Sling advertised they had The *** Womens World Cup Games available on their platform. I downloaded and signed up. I waited for the game to start. The first game I wanted to watch was not available and games that had already been played were not available. The Fox App said I did not have the right subscription level and I could not purchase that level using Sling TV. I contacted Sling to cancel my subscription and get a refund and they refused. They should not advertise something they do not have access to and can not provide for customers, although I can see it on the app and on the Fox app. It is a simple bait and switch tactic. This all took three hours. They said I could not get a refund even though they do not have what they advertised.

No refund
I sign up on 01/03/2024 by 01/08/2024 I cancelled the service and requested
a refund. I chatted with their representative Andy who stated that the company does not givve any refund since there are a prepaid service. I stated that no where on their website stated that there is no refund. I understand their situation, but if you cancel within 7 days, a refund should be allowed. The reprentative said he would let management know and added a laughing emoji, as if, nothing would be accomplished. I felt mocked and then when I told he should not use an emoji , he quickly finished our conversation.

Terrible service. We were charged $158 and we were told it was an accident and our money would be returned immediately. 3 weeks later and we still have not received our money. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I called again and they said they are still evaluating. Still evaluating their mistake and taking our money. Interesting choice of words. Plenty of other services out there, don’t ever give them your credit card or they will accidentally charge you however much they feel like and will not return it.
Claimed loss: $158
Desired outcome: Refund for $158 and cancel service
Guide is useless
The Ai lead guide now shows channel you are wanting to watch, then It is looking for what commercials it can shove on your screen as well channels at times are not aligned with the program you want to watch I have seen it off by five or more channels. The other concerns are it is also on home screen not only shows live but also on demand. If I wanted to watch on demand I would go there. I only want to see what is live on home screen...
This new guide takes to long and screws up your viewing. Would also like to see commercial free options.

Watching the Lakers v Denver in Los Angeles I had to keep refreshing. I canceled my account and asked for a refund, but to complete the refund request I had to wat forever on their chat. I gave up and will file a grievance with Chase Bank as it was charged to my debit card.

$20.00
This happened last spring. The LA Servers couldn't keep up.
I spent over an hour on this and I am totally done with Sling.
Desired outcome: Refund my $20
SLING captioning
As a deaf person, Sling's captioning is almost useless. Please double or triple the size of the captioning font and give it a black background.
The only viewers who turn on captioning are those who are deaf, so please make it usable for us by either:
1. giving us options in fonts, sizes, and backgrounds
or
2. double or triple the size of the font and give it a black background
Desired outcome: make the captioning legible for those of us who are deaf by either letting us adjust it or by doubling the size of the font and giving it a black background
SlingTV on Prime stick
This week, all of a sudden my response time on Sling (no other app) has slowed to a crawl. It can take up to 15 seconds to get any response from trying to back out or change the viewing channel! I first noticed it during commercials and I just figured Sling was trying to force us to endure those god awful commercials. I pay a hefty amount to get Sling every month. I don't and refuse to pay to watch GD commercials! FIX THIS!
Sling Blue+Sports Package
After thoroughly reading through the options and which subscriptions to pay for in order to watch NFL games on Fox, we paid $199.00 to Sling TV to get the Blue+Sports package, with Fox Sports listed as being included. We spent time setting it all up, learning to navigate (not user friendly), searching for the game with no success, calling customer service with no ability to get through, attempting to use "chat" service and told they were too busy. We missed the game, we contacted Sling the very next business day (my payment still pending at bank level), they looked into this and told us we don't get Fox Sports in our area and they cannot refund our money. It literally feels like they just stole from us. How many customers are they doing this to? The website is vague, confusing and as I now realize, deceiving.
Desired outcome: I asked to cancel our service and refund our $199.00. They refused. I have since cancelled it, but it is prepaid through Feb 2024 and will cancel at the end of the subscription.
Prepaid television package
I purchased a prepaid television package on August 26th. The package was marketed as a “college football package”. Unfortunately I did not understand that there were no local channels included in this package. Immediately upon discovering this shortcoming, I contacted SlingTV to cancel my purchase. I spoke with Alex, who advised me he was filing paperwork...

I cancelled my sling subscription two years ago. I received a decline notice from my bank about a sling charge. I have severe health issues that keeps me from being able to function properly at times. I had not seen any charges under SLING, so I depended on the representative to have carried the phoned request. Due to the neglect of their employees, I have been charged $960.00 for services I cancelled. My medical expenses prevented me from being able to afford SLING any longer. They now are saying no refunds for their error. I am disputing this through my bank. SLING is a horrible service, and they rip people off, just like every other parasitic company out here. We live in a society where honest business practices are a thing of the past. This is very difficult for the older citizens to accept. There is a special place for these people. Good Riddance.
Desired outcome: The company does not accept their error and will not refund anything they stole from me.
billing
i called last month to cancel this subscription. i did it over the lap top, i called to be reassured that the money would not continue to be taken out. the lady reassured me that it would not be and not to worry. well, money was taken out yesterday from my account. i called your customer service, she kept on saying i ordered it again. I DID NOT! BECAUSE THAT MONEY WAS TAKEN OUT HAS PUT MY ACCOUNT IN A BAD SITUATION. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR/MANAGER AND COULD NOT TRANSFER, AS SHE SAID SHE DOES NOT HAS THE PROPER TOOLS. All she kept saying was you continue to watch sling, i said yes because it's free. I don't have to purchase it. my email is [protected]@gmail.com/ last digits of my card are 8847. Robert Page. please i need that to be put back. i didnt order sling. i canceled it last month. thank you for your time. i look forward to hearing from you soon.
Desired outcome: return of my money/ refund
Sling Tv
I got an account a few years ago- and cancelled it August 2022...and then wanted to get a Sling account this year but couldn't remember my password so started another account with a different email... and never noticed that they had been charging me the entire time- NOW THEY ARE DOUBLE BILLING ME AND EVEN WHEN I CALLED THEM- spoke to a very arrogant SERGIO #7066005 in another country- who said too bad so sad- you signed up for two accounts- WHY THE HELL WOULD I NEED TWO ACCOUNTS. No refund no fixing it- nothing...going to keep doing it.
I filed a complaint with my financial institution and LAW ENFORCEMENT- on the advice of my financial institution.
Desired outcome: Yet to be determined
Sling TV Review: Cheap but Not Worth the Money - Terrible DVR, Clunky UI, and Technical Issues Galore
Sling TV is a service that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Although it's cheap, it's not worth the money. I had a lot of trouble watching TV with this service because it wouldn't load shows. It's frustrating to pay for something that doesn't work.
The DVR is a joke! It only records shows sometimes, and the functionality is very finicky in terms of being able to pause or rewind. Sometimes I could; sometimes I couldn't (so, sometimes I'd have just 5 minutes left of a show and if I paused it, it would restart at the very beginning and not allow me to fast forward. That's WITH the DVR option!).
The user interface leaves a lot to be desired. Navigating the UI was a miserable experience because it is so clunky and not at all intuitive, and then there was the issue of basic commands not working. For example, if I searched for a show title, it wouldn't let me hit the "search" button to actually execute the search, or it would allow me to enter two or three letters and then only allow me to navigate to a different menu.
Good luck to anyone trying to use the DVR option. The whole UI for the DVR is so user-unfriendly. It's so hard to actually manage your recordings, add shows, delete shows, etc. None of it makes any sense.
In all seriousness, when I tried to watch TV with this service, it would take me about 20-30 minutes of technical issues before I could even begin watching a show. By the time I would get it working, I didn't have time to watch the show.
Such a half-baked app. Such a rip off. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Misleading Charges for Local Channels on Sling TV: A Frustrating Experience
Been using Sling TV for a while now, and I gotta say, it's been pretty good. But yesterday, I was making some changes to my account and saw an ad for local channels at no extra cost. So I clicked on it and added it to my services. Today, I checked my account and saw a $52 charge from Sling. I was like, "What the heck?" So I called them up and the lady on the phone was nice and all, but it took 25 minutes to get everything sorted out. I had to get back to work, so I had to hang up when she put me on hold. But as soon as I got back to my desk, I started a chat with them. The person I chatted with said it looked like I accidentally signed up for the Air TV antenna that costs $49 a month instead of the other one that was free. I was like, "Whatever, just cancel it." But then the lady said they couldn't take the antenna back and I was stuck with it and had to pay for it. My order hadn't even been shipped yet! I was so mad. I told them that when they say "at no charge to you," it's misleading when there's a charge on my account. They said there was nothing they could do, so I'm gonna talk to a supervisor and then probably cancel my service.
Sling TV Review: Unreliable, Poor Quality, and Frustrating Customer Service
Got Sling TV after my friend gave me an Amazon Firestick as a gift. Gotta say, it's been pretty useless so far. Can't get any videos to load, whether it's On Demand or live TV. It just buffers, freezes, or doesn't load at all. And it's not just one channel, it's every single one (except for the commercials, of course - those always load just fine!). Customer service is no help either. They always blame my internet or something else, even though Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon all work perfectly fine. They tell me to uninstall and reinstall the app, hardwire the device to the modem, clear my cache, and do a Force Stop on the app. But I've tried all of that multiple times and nothing works! All they can say is "we'll send this to our engineering team." What a joke! They're charging me every month for a service that doesn't even work.
And when the videos do load (which is rare), the quality is terrible and the volume is all over the place. The commercials are always super loud and annoying, while the actual show is barely audible. It's like they don't even care about the viewer experience.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Sling TV to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle or the hours spent on chat with tech support. The price is not worth the frustration you'll experience. Save yourself the trouble and find another streaming service.
Sling TV Review: DVR and On Demand Features Are Garbage, Not Worth the Price
I recently gave Sling TV a try after realizing that cable was just too expensive and that I needed to cut back on my TV time. Unfortunately, my experience with Sling TV was not a good one. The DVR feature is a major issue. It doesn't allow you to pause programming and then resume where you left off. Instead, it rewinds the show all the way back to where you paused it, forcing you to watch all the commercials again. Who thought that was a good idea? It also doesn't record anything I select, even if I'm watching it and tell it to record. When I go back to check the DVR section, it's never there. The On Demand feature is just as bad. When I select a title, it plays like I'm watching regular TV, with all the commercials and no ability to fast forward or rewind. It's frustrating that it gives you one fast forward and then says "Not available on this channel" for every channel. It's useless. Anyone who denies these issues is clearly working for Sling. The service is garbage.
The price is also not worth it. You pay $45 for Sling Blue/Orange, which is like paying $1.50+ per channel. You can go to DTV or ATT and get 350+ channels in 4 rooms with NFL Sunday Ticket for $85, which is like paying $0.25 per channel. I gave Sling TV a fair try, but I am not a fan. It also crashes randomly during shows, forcing you to restart it. This happens at least 3 or 4 times a day. It's a joke and not worth the money. They try to push more channels on you with add-ons, which puts the bill exactly where I was before with cable.
Overall, I think it's time for cable to make a comeback. Screw Sling TV.
