My husband signed up for DMC and in an effort to do something nice for a family, I signed up for one under their name and address but with my payment information.They refuse to honor the membership because that the billing address was used on another account.
A billing address is for payment and a mailing address is for the household. Disney apparently didn't like this ambiguity in their contract being brought to their attention so their advocate/legal office, instead of calling me like I requested, sent an email hiding behind the provision that lets them reject an account because they feel like it. Nice doing business with Disney. They charge outrageous prices but are crying foul over a few movies.
This is what I get for trying to do something nice.Lesson learned don't do nice things for people because businesses like Disney frown upon doing kind acts.

They sent me two of the same movie, and charged me twice, within a month apart. I called them. The girl I spoke with was rude. (This was after googling customer service, because the number they give you on the statement, you can not get through to anyone)She Said I must not have returned the card they mail you...even if this was true. Why would they send me two movies, two months apart? So, I sent one back and cancelled my membership. I also included $23.48 for one of the movies, and did keep one. That was November. In December I received a past due notice for the one movie I kept for $25.48 (now accruing late charges...which says on the statement $2.50, so obviously the system can't add either).. I called, spoke with Nichole, who told me they received my check, they just hadn't processed it but not to worry. December, another bill, for $27.48. Try to call the number on the statement...[protected]...you get two options...log in (which I no longer have access because I cancelled) or listin to their offers. You can't get ahold of anyone. I have now been on hold with Echo for 15 minutes and we still have no resolution...Echo tells me not to worry about the balance...it has been resolved...how is that? I asked what happened with the balance...He could not give me an answer...however, kept speaking over me. I did advise if they sent this to a collection agency, there would be legal action .Horrible, Horrible, Horrible Customer Service...I am pretty sure anything Disney I am boycotting...

I am sending recent movies back as soon as they come in and I want a refund. There has been over 200 dollar worth of movies come off and I didnt approve. I am cancelling my order and I want my debit card taken off now. I am on the verge of taking legal action. I have plans for my money this time of year and i did not approve of these charges made. Forty here and there gets very costly. They better not charge me again. They didnt tell nobody when u sign up that they do this. It is wrong and pisses me off,

dvds not received
I received a promo by mail about buying 5 DVDs for like $0.99 and then after that getting one or two discounted. There was also a promotion that if I signed up I would get a Moana blanket for free. I placed an order for 7 and mailed a check on 10/1. On my bank statement, the check was cashed on 10/10 and now it is 11/7 and I still haven't received any DVDs. I received the free blanket but no DVDs. I'm still very interested in the DVDs I paid for, however, I'm not very unsure about even wanting to continue a subscription. So it would be greatly appreciated if you could send me the DVDs that I already paid for.

Unauthorized credit card charges
On 7/25/17 I was charged $33.90 for my subscription that I canceled months ago. I tried calling and that didn't help so now i am making a complaint. I enjoy disney movies and everything but i do not have the Money right now to pay for this subscription that I canceled so i would like this issue taken care of as soon as possible. thank you and good day.

Disney Movie Club continues mailing letters and packages (w/ DVD & Blueray videos) to our business address, even though they have been notified on numerous occasions that they are mailing to the wrong address. They keep mailing stuff to Lindsay McGlamery. I've notified DMC that the address they have on file is incorrect because we are a business and Lindsay McGlamery does not receive mail at this address.
We will be contacting our attorney early next week to get this taken care because obviously the DMC customer service reps are either too stupid or lazy to delete our mailing address from their system.

customer service who behaves arrogantly...
I have been a member of the dm club for years & I have never spoken to anybody in customer service as arrogant that this this gentleman, zac (A phone call I have placed on 3/6/17 at 7:50pm mst) has delivered. I asked when my pre-ordered movie, moana is coming in. He said"well let me check". Then, followed by "I see that you pre-ordered it but pre-ordering doesn't guarantee that you are going to get it. It depends on how many people bought it". I argued w / him that if moana is coming out the ff. Day in stores then I am better off canceling this order & just buying in stores to ensure my kids can watch it tomorrow. His reply"ok. One second". He came back & said"it's done. Is there anything else?" no regard for sales or service apologies, whatsoever. Worst, when I asked for his manager, a woman named, maria, she also ended up as another arrogant, uncaring customer service rep of the disney movie club. No apologies. I will order my last dvd to complete my commitment. I will cancel my membership immediately after. I will tell my all friends, neighbors and co-workers about how horrible the dm club people are. If your group are contractual employees, you do not deserve to be handling the disney name! If your group are infact disney employees, you must visit the happiest place on earth and learn! I hanged up the call bec I couldn't breathe anymore and would not want to get a heart attack bec of you lazy, unprofessional, arrogant customer service people of the disney movie club! A few minutes later, I received an email confirmation number of my order! They seemed to be covering what they have done!

I'm very disappointed in the new movie not what I was expecting at all the force awakens was very good and I think every one was looking for the new one e to carry on from that but no yet again you go back in time to before the first movie your ratings would have expected been alot higher if it carried on from where force awakens ended even my son did not enjoy the movie and wanted to leave halfway through it as all the star wars movies have loads of action but this was just boaring I don't know why disney did this and to disappoint a lot of fans. I think that your company should allow movies to be free for the whole subscription and that your company should allow youtube to have the movies for people to watch so let the people who do not have enough money to get movies get the movies for free or you might lose coustomers cause of the money and i wanted to watch a movie and i had to pay for it and that does not seem right to me so please let the people who do not have money get a account for free
a disney movie
In the princess diaries movies (Princess Diaries and Princess Diaries 2) are completely different to the books (As I have read all of them). To start Princess Mia is not from San Franciscoz she is from New York City.
I accept that the first movie is remotely the same as the first book but the second movie made on these series is not relevant to any book.
The only positive thing in this movie is Anne Hathaway's work at playing Mia.

I hope after the VMA'S and Miley Smoking Pot on camera as if it's not a big deal at all and her Potty Mouth, that you will no longer be putting Hannah Montana back on the air. Miley can live her life as she sees fit, however the minute you put that show back on the air all those young and impressionable girls will want to follow in her foot steps.
I understand you have strict guide lines in regard to this kind of behavior, so I'm asking that you follow those guide lines that have been set and not allow Hannah Montana back on the air.

As a 'concerned parent' instead of saying Miley is wrong for everything she's doing why not just shelter your children from things you don't deem appropriate about her. Understanding that Miley in no way follows Disney standards anymore I can see how you are upset, but it has been made very clear that she is no longer involved with Disney. Also, if we are going to go by everything that is 'inappropriate' High School Musical shouldn't be aired, Camp Rock shouldn't be aired, the Cheetah Girls shouldn't be aired, and probably a few others I forgot about. I highly doubt young girls watching Hannah Montana will be able to go "oh look that's the girl who smokes pot and goes on stage basically naked!". In my opinion Hannah Montana is one of the best disney shows to ever air and so what if Miley makes some questionable decisions, you probably did too when you were young.

I called and canceled my membership Feb/2015. Returned all the DVD they sent to me, but they keep sending to me back DVD I didn't ordered from them.
They force you receive their new movie, and make the form very difficult to find how to call them.
Make the low ability English people Exhausted and will give up to fight with them and paid them.

I called to cancel my account so i would buy out the remaining movies to complete m contract. Ordered my movies to my work address, got my email that it was returned to sender. tried again, same thing. they never showed up at my wok address at all. Tried my grandmas house street address. same thing..never showed up! Tried my sister in laws address and same thing again! THEY NEVER SHOWED UP AND I JUST KEEP GETTING EMAILS SAYING RETURN TO SENDER. I think since i wanted to cancel my account and order my remainding movies im getting screwed over now and they just keep charging my mastercard. Gettin no where with calling and reordering them, Help?!

This is now the third time i received confirmation that i declined a featured dvd and they sent me the dvd anyway! I'm sick of wasting my time unnecessarily standing in line at the post office to return these. My time is worth money too, and to have to take time out of my business day to stand on line at the po costs me money. I want this account canceled and no nonsense about my "obligations" because the money i lost waiting in line exceeds whatever they think i owe them. They deserve nothing for this level of hassle and incompetence!

incompetent customer service
Been a member for a few months now. Initially things went well, however, as of recent service has become pretty awful. Started when I recently ordered a DVD to complete my third of six DVD commitment to the group. Paid for and received movie and everything was good. Got a copy of another movie a few days later and a bill for it. It wasn't ordered, for one. Two, my credit card was on file. And three, I didn't want the movie. So following their instructions, I got new packaging ($), went to the post office (time) and paid the shipping to have it go back ($).
Another week goes by and I check online and see that I didn't receive credit for the first movie that I bought and had, so I emailed in to the group. They write back a few days later saying that I had to call in during certain hours (more time). Okay, fine. Spend a lunch HOUR on the phone dealing with an operator with broken English attempting to make her understand what happened. She keeps going back to saying that they haven't heard from me about the current month's selection and that they are getting ready to send it to me. I explain that I went online and elected not to receive it, but she sees otherwise and spends ten minutes obsessed with this aspect.
When we get back to the issue I called in about, she says that she sees no record of the purchase and there is nothing she can do. I search my email and find the notice from them letting me know that my DVD had shipped and been charged. I give her the information from that email and she puts me on hold again.
While waiting for her, I see in the email they sent me, they had the wrong account listed. Eventually she comes back and says that she spoke to a supervisor and will begin an investigation. I have to cut her off to explain that there is no need for an investigation as I have figured out that it was credited to another account. Several more minutes of being placed on hold when the operator comes back and explains their solution. And if you think that it would be something simple like that they will just credit it to the correct account, brace yourself. They explain that I have two account numbers: one for when I order a DVD, one for when I order a Blu Ray, and even though I ordered this movie (and got it) in the Blu Ray format, they have credited it to the wrong account number and their only solution was for me to box up my already opened and watched movie, ship it back to Disney who would then credit the account and then they would ship me a new, unwrapped copy of the same movie and credit it to the correct account.
I point out how this is a waste of my time, money and effort and their product and postage, but they fail to see this and explain this is my only option.
Needless to say, I intend to follow through on their stupid solution, order the required DVDs left on the contract then cancel and get the Hell away from these guys before they keep screwing up and asking me to keep running back and forth to the post office to fix their mess ups.
My advice to others is to stay away from DMC. The prices aren't that great, you can find better elsewhere online. All without the headaches.

Since I joined the Disney Movie Club I have declined every feature. A movie came in the mail and when I called them to let them know that I declined it. They said that I missed to decline the feature of the month. I don't know how to prove it now and they are charging me for the movie anyhow. Also there is a Sopa warning post above the header of they're membership site! I would like to know I can be released from the contract. I don't like the dishonest way that I am experiencing with them. I thought at first that buying 4 more movies would not put a dent in my pocket book, but when they charged my credit card and I am having to dispute this unauthorized charge on my credit card now. It is sad to read so many of the same and various complaints regarding Disney Movie Club.
