couldn't exchange expired air freshener
I had recently purchased an air freshener from dollar tree and didn't notice that it was expired. I hardly ever ask for a receipt when I go, therefore I didn't have a receipt for this transaction. I called to see explaining the situation and asked if I can exchange the air freshener for another one, not asking for my money back, and the lady I spoke to said " well first and for most we can't exchange anything without a receipt so we can't do anything about it." I kindly said "okay thank you" and hung up. I am very disappointed because I shop at dollar tree at least twice a week -if not more. I really love shopping at dollar tree, but this situation really upset me because now I have to throw out an air freshener I used once.

Stopped by my local Dollar Tree in Decatur Texas for a few things on our way home as soon as we walked in cashiers look and whispered to each other obviously about us since no one else was coming in at that time the whole 5 minutes we were there we were followed by one of the cashiers as if we were going to steal something and keep in mind all I had was my small clutch wallet my keys and my phone and my nine-year-old daughter, I thought it was just my imagination so we moved from Iowa to I'll just to test it out and of course she was right behind us the whole time never in my life have I experienced this and I am never coming back and I am seriously contemplating contacting my local Hispanic news station because there's discrimination is just ridiculous.
I would contact someone about this due to the discrimination. Dollar Tree cant keep getting away with all the wrongs they do to their customers. If we as people dont stand up to companies then they will continue to do wrong.

Hired on September 29th. One of the managers asked me if I wanted to close. I said sure. Walked in on my first day. The manager that trained me had a very bad attitude. She may have been on drugs. The head manager was notified about me not having worked the cash register. She teained me for maybe one hour, I was short $36.00 in 2 days. She gives me a write up. From there, I am treated very badly. I was told I needed to speed up. The quota is 150/83 is what I was helping customers. A man tried to proposition me for more money. Come to find out, he treated another manager very bad. Then some shady activities were going on. I ended up on the hospital for hypertension, because I was so stressed out. My last day was 11/24/2017. On another note: profsnity was used after the customers left from employees. Excond are hired. No screening process.

I came up to the register to check out and the line with the light on did not have an employee. There was an employee at the register beside it but the light was out and she was talking to another employee. I asked if the register with the light was open since I assumed she had turned out her light to leave the register. She answered me in a condescending attitude that the other was helping someone else. I asked if she was open and she said in the same tone of voice that if she is standing there she is open. I said her light was off and she snapped that people don't look at the lights so what does it matter. I told her she was rude and did not have any business working with the public. The other employee returned to the registers so I told her I didn't want her help anyways. She stormed away from the registers area. I said something about her attitude to the other employee and found out she is the manager.

Good Day, I contact someone in customer service in October to let them know that many of the vases that I ordered arrived broken. I was promised that the items would be replaced and that I should receive the next week. It has been well over a month. Please see your records. Unable to reach anyone on the phone. I have been trying for more than a month. Absolutely ridiculous not to be able to get someone on the phone and extremely frustrating. The event that I ordered these for is next week. I called and sent photos in early October. I am prefer that the vases to be replaced. If they cannot replace, I would like my money refunded and what the cost would be to ship 48 of the vases. I ordered (3) cases of (24) in blue and (3) cases of (24) in green. I have sent the photo that I still have from my phone to my email so that I can download here. It's SLOW. Ugh!
More than (50) were broken. They can definitely refund me for the shipping for those. Not being greedy. You are being annoying.

I visited dollar tree in davsion on m15 rd today at 1:15pm when I went to check out my card was declined so I thought I would split the total between 2 cards unfortunately that did not work An there got to be a very long line so the cashier Aaron call for a manger the I guess the manager was on lunch he seemed annoyed to be bother but he came out looked at the register An my receipt to see how he could fix it An said he couldn't do a post void but to just take 11 items out An walked back into the office so I thought I was suppose to pick out the items that I was keeping the cashier still didn't seem to understand what he was suppose to do so the he yells to the other cashier ringing an tells her my card was declined what is he suppose to do with the 11 items An the line to check out was getting even longer so then the manager comes back out takes the items I was wanting to keep An walks over to another register an I was left standing there not understanding what I was suppose to take or if my debit card was refunded there wasn't a lot of communications he was very short tempered an annoyed with me the whole time so I didn't know what was going on it was already in embarrassing enough my card was declined that he didn't need to be so rude to me about it an embarrasses me more by not wanting to deal with me I just wanted to leave but I walked over to the other register he was at an asked what happened or what items I was suppose to take he said whatever the cashier gave me an I told him I had nothing he tells me I need to wait so he can ring up another customer An proceeds to give me a horrible look like I'm so stupid An he just wants me to go away so I waited till he was done An I tell him the 11 items I wanted he took an he said he meant he needed 11 to return he didn't know those were the ones I wanted he's very irritated with me An makes me he so bad about myself like I ruined his whole day An everyone in the stores puts the items I wanted in a bag An hands them to me without saying anything I said is everything fine for me to leave now then he doesn't have to do anything else he said ya! We're losing 60 cents but ya u can go . I left in tears I was so upset on how he treated me I am also a manager at a women's clothing store an I have had people's cards get declined An returns with partial payments split an never once have I let a customer get that upset An embarrassed nor announce to other customers the situation of another customer situation a manager should make sure customers I treated decently no absused to the point of tears that would lose business I think he should not be in his position there are better qualified managers out there to have a poor i would not want him running a business that I owned he would be an embarrassment to me

I'm contacting you because I was at Dollar Tree in Galliapolis Ohio. I could hardly get through the isles because of unstocked product, still in boxes being up the isles. Also the exit was blocked with product so that if a fire happened anyone that was handicapped and in a wheelchair would not be able to get through. Please send this to the district manager and the president of the company so something can be done.
You should call OSHA on them and then they have no choice but to clean it up. That goes for all dollar trees. Hit them with fines until they start taking action in the corporate office.

My name is Princess Foster i started working for The dollar tree here in Williamston NC in October. I learned quickly even tho i had no real training. The last day i worked was Saturday 11/18/17. I was fired over the phone on Monday morning 11/20/17 for following my closing managers orders by finishing up and clocking out which she told me don't worry about staying because her mom was coming. By me following her orders i lost my job and the situation was not handled in the proper manner i need my job .im a full time student and i don't have any kids or car in the state of NC you have to have at least 20 hours a week to receive foodstamps. I requested more hours to get turned down. I was walking back and forth to work never late never missed a day other than being sick and a mess up on the schedule when he scheduled me for a time i was in school. I want my job back. in Rialto. I will stick to the facts. I know of two people at that store, 1 is a manager Melissa and the other is Tamara. These two employees are stealing or allowing each other to steal from Dollartree. Money is borrowed and put back at a later date by these two employees. This does
not go any further cause of course 1 is your manager. They steal money
from the drawers, try to blame it on other employees, but then the money gets put back by the manager, who tries to give the $ to other employees to put back, which they refuse to, cause it wasn't them that took the money. so if they put the money back, it would demonstrate guilt, so therefore manager will cover up. tamara is allowed to, or even tho everyone has beenwarnedto not enter certain areas if they arenot on the clock or scheduled towork, tamara does. when sheis on the property, moneyis stole, and recently, tamara took and hid in someones car many many boxes right out of the store and told the other person that the company stated in directives or somethinglike that, that she was allowed to take the items. understand that this was a large # of store product. this tamara shows up on the days when the others unload the freights trucks, and she leaves the doors open, unlocked, entersthe property, stealsproduct, i'msure, and boss lady knows this, allows for this to happen. this store is getting ripped off big time by your manager and tamara. theywork together, get rid of anyone that makes a bit of a stir, or tries to get rid of them, and this is something that dollartree should know. Melissa is not, I repeat is not someone you shouldhave as a manager. sheis a thiefand is allowing this othe employee to steal money and try to blame it on other employees. I was in store 06220, an employee "shonda" was telling her manager she couldn't be on the register because she had been drinking. He told her she could go stock something. I didn't know dollar tree allows their employees to be drunk at work and smell like liquior. I am a regular customer in this store and most of the workers are very friendly. I don't see how that guy manager couldn't of sent her home.

Store 990 located in Prestonsburg, Ky has the most unprofessional employees I have ever witnessed at any retail store. They are always on their cell phones or standing outside smoking. The manager is usually there with them. It seems like one big party all the time. I use to enjoy going into the store and browsing, but now the store is so unorganized, dirty, and the employees are so rude that I will not shop there anymore. The staff even uses foul language, the manager being the worse. I haven't been in that store recently that I haven't heard at least one employee curse. I tried speaking to the store manager about the condition of the store, but she just got rude and defensive. Two other employees, a young girl with long blonde hair and a dark haired girl who appeared to be in her 30's, stood snickering as the manager named Carla talked rudely to me. Not sure what has happened to this store and management, but I will not be shopping there again.

Upon my visit at the doller tree, at 1pm on a Saturday, and when I came into the store the clerk told me that they would be unable to help me due to the "manager" kelisha Being unprepared and did not have appropriate change to break $100 bill. Absolutely ridiculous. I had to wait at the store for 20 minutes until another clerk a ride with change. I don't know who is in charge of the store but clearly management is an ongoing issue.

Today is November 24 at 4:30 I went to your dollar tree at 910 Lee road Orlando Florida 32810 let's start by saying when I walk in the door she did not speak that was not good customer service then I hear her come on the intercom and say she need assistance at another register because she had a long line I got my items that I was shopping for so I get to the register and she still doesn't speak she start ringing my item up her body language you can till she must was having a bad day she just throw my drinks in the bag so I ask her instead of putting my stuff in the small bag's could she put them in the big bag's she just throw my food in the bag so to be honest I got upset because that's disrespectful towards me as a mother as a customer I was shopping for my kids I just move to this area and this the first time since I been coming here I experience this at this store it's all about serving great customer service or at least if you having a bad day still speak and put a smile on your face

I couldn't believe how the manager (Mary) treats customers, employees and vendors. I will no longer shop at this store due to her attitude. The workers seem to be afraid of her and don't smile. When truck deliveries are comming to locations why dont the freight managers need to be there that is their title. Why does all the other staff have to get together and do the truck, why dont all staff get paid same dollar amount if they have to do truck when freight manager does not have to be there or does not want to be.
They wil give parttimers extra hours if the fulltime began to work over there 40 hrs. Without benefits & bonuses. The full timers get all the benefits & bonuses when the parttimes work is as equal. But due to they are partimers dollartree takes avantage of there parttime employees. This is why dollartree can never keep employees they do not want to offer nothing good to the hard working people.

Our store (06622) was a mess with previous manager. Since she's been gone, our merchandise manager is also our acting manager. She put a fire under us and turned this store around 100%. We have a great team now and we all busted out butts. She (Francisca Lara) was suppose to be our new manager. She was gone for 4 days due to a death in her family but left the store in good condition. Because the asst. mgr didn't pull her weight, the store took two steps back. Scott came in to inspect the store and was not happy so he took the position of manager away from Francisca. This is not right. She wasn't even in town. The asst mgr (Toni Fiero) was responsible for the store for those four days. This Scott person doesn't know what the hell he's doing. You're going to end up losing some of your best employees because of this man. We have met our sales and then some. We have our regular customers back and our store is 110% better because of Francisca Lara. You'd have to be a fool to take the manager position away from her. Why is she being treated this way? You can ask anyone about her and get positive feedback. She pushes us hard for a reason. She takes pride in our store and so do I. She should be offered the position back since she's the one who was merch manager and doing manager duties and working seven days a week with no days off. And how was she rewarded... The opportunity to be manager was taken away because the asst mgr could keep the store up. There was no bonus for holding down 2 positions and bring sales up. And now you want to give us a manager that only knows how to do the office part of being a manager and you want Francisca to train her? That's a slap in the face. If you're going to give us a different manager, at least make sure she knows how to run the whole show, not just the sitting down part. If anyone should have their position taken away, it should be Scott.
This is something you'll want to address with your human resources representative or corporate office. It's not a great idea to post it online.
Talking to HR is a joke.

When I clicked on the attached image, I noticed that the code beside the date says PRO, not EXP or SELL BY. So that means the air freshener you bought was manufactured on 7/11/17. It did not expire that day but instead came off the assembly line; no need to buy a new one unless you already threw it out.
I couldn't even finish reading your post. WHY DO YOU NOT KEEP RECEIPTS and WHY DIDN'T YOU CHECK TO SEE IF IT WAS EXPIRED ?!?!? WTF is WRONG with you?!?
