I was really having a thirst for some drinking water and since I know Dollar Tree sells the water for just $1. I decided to walked around the corner and get some drinking water.
I looking up the store info online and saw that the store closed at 9pm. After entering the store, well I had the earphone in my ears and I saw the customers and the staff looking at me. I immediately removed the earpiece from my ears and asked what was wrong. The service rep said that are closed. I asked how can they be closed when it’s not even 9PM and the sign on the door clearly say 9 PM and all I wanted was just one water.
The manager walked over and escorted me to the door then closed the door after.
This email is not to complained because I didn’t get the water but for the principle of it and to let this not happened again.
If the store closed at 9PM then they should closed at the exact time.
Keep in mind I walked in the store 6 minutes before closing time.
I’ve work in retail before and none of the store I’ve worked for ever turn a customer away once they are on the store and it’s not closing time.
I did proceed to another local corner store and got the water.
I recently moved into a new apartment and went and got me some kitchen plate and other kitchen items just a week before.
I really don’t think I will be going back to that Dollar Tree anymore. Rather to talk my money somewhere else. I have attached a pic of the time I was returned from the store and the time of the open and closed.
Thanks for reading this email even though I know this won’t go anywhere.([protected]@gmail.com)
manager at your store in lenexa ks
Today I was at your store, I stopped by with my 5 children (ages 16, 8, 4 and 3). We were walking together when your manager approached my 16 year old daughter and asked if we were all together. First of all, why does that matter? She then proceeded to tell her that my children were not to touch anything unless we were buying it. As I turned around to confront her (she obviously didn't know that we were all together), I said excuse me? And she said, "well I don't mind if they look but please don't let them pick anything up that you aren't buying." They all had 1 or 2 things in their hands that we were going to purchase. I chose to walk away before saying something in front of my children. But she then proceeded to follow us around and to a certain extent watch us. Aren't your employees paid to do their job? Even if my children did pick something up and set it down (which they didn't. They are very well behaved and all knew how many things they were allowed to buy) but why wasn't she following anyone else in the store? I will add that I am Hispanic and my children are biracial. Why is she allowed to ask who is together or tell us what we can and can't touch in a store that I AM SPENDING MY MONEY? We finished up our trip, where I paid for everything ($24) and asked at check out if a manager was there. Where she rudely informed me that she was the manager. So I am now reaching out to someone above her. It is completely unacceptable how your MANAGER of this store acted.
employees
As I was entering the store, you employees were outside in front of the doors smoking. I had my two grandchildren with me and it was a cloud of smoke getting to the door. They need to be smoking far from the entrance of the building. I do believe this is a law . I understand their needs but they need to be more respectful of the shoppers. Many people going to this store have children and they do not need to walk through a cloud of smoke getting into the store.
employee/asst manager
Disappointed in customer service in Elberton Georgia store. Too friendly and personal with other company truck drivers. Discovered and confirmed
emloyee sleeping with married men... particularly truck drivers that made deliveries. Not a good look for the company at all. If customers can't trust the service of employees, customers can't trust to spend their money in any Dollar Tree store... ever.
Bad look for company.
manager
I shop at dollar tree 3 days a week in gateway in Beaumont Tx.I love the store but the Manger andrea Raquel is horrible! She curses her customers an is so rude to employees when they interven. I witness her litererly going toe to toe with a customer. And told her keep her kids on a leash. She was hollering in the store saying she would hit the woman she didn't care about the job because she has another job making real money. I problay not return. Never seen nothing like this at the work place before. AMD this is the second time she has been rude that I have Seen. That Woman has a problem.

karen from tewksbury ma store
Karen from the Main Street Tewksbury MA 01876 store was incredibly rude to me in front of 4 other customers and my 20 month old son. I bought 25 8x10 picture frames 6 of them did not fit the pictures. I brought them back knowing you guys do exchange only got a ball for my son and some other little things we needed. When I got to the cashier she said she had to ask Karen. She came over and said she couldn't take the 2 I had opened. I was fine with that but I told her I didnt think she should re sell them anyway because they dont fit the picture size it claims it does. She barked at me saying Im going to re sell them. I said ok but they dont fit and other people will bring them back. She said they dont fit your pictures then walked away and said- you know what Im not taking them back! I was blown away the other 4 people in the store stopped to look at her screaming from across the store. I said well this is wrong the way your treating me so Im going to contact customer service. She proceeded to scream from across the store- go ahead my name is Karen! I was emabarassed everyone was looking at me. And to boot my son started crying when I had to put the ball back. One other customer came over to me and told me how outraged she was at that and told me how to contact complaints. That was such a terrible experience for such a small suggestion. So I had to leave the store with $6 of frames that dont fit the pictures and a crying son.
customer service
On 10/18/2017 at 1945 we were not greeted at the door, but the woman at the register would not look us in the eye, was rude and degrading to polite conversational questions and statements we made. I understand people may have bad days but that is not an excuse to be rude to customers when you are in a customer service oriented field. If the cameras are in the store, you will be able to see how my family was treated. Thank you for your time. Please handle this appropriatley I would not want others to be treated this way.

store manager michelle mccranfill
I Nakima Jones, ASM at store 04559. Was seen in the emergency room at 7:45 this morning on 10/18/2017. Upon speaking with the doctor, she suggested that it was best for me ( Nakima Jones) to stay home for 2 days. So i can recover form the infection i have in my eye. I called my District Manager Ryan in 126 and he wasn't so pleasant at all. Noted his exact words was ( Why in the hell i am calling him, i need to call Michelle ) and he hung up. Then i called the full time Manager Erica and told her what was going on. Afterward i finally was able to contact my Store Manager Michelle McCranfill and she told me if i couldn't come in that she was going to fire me. I told her i have all documents, and if the doctors thinks it best for me to stay home. Its nothing i can really do. This is not the first time Michelle have threaten to fire me and probably want be the last time. I have spoken with other District Manager with my concerns before district 126 received a new district manager. Still haven't anything been done. If i have any concerns i havs first spoke with my store manager Michelle with issues i have notices with her and she have cut my hours over and over again. Now this is the last resorted.
It appears that Ohio is an at-will employment state which means you can be terminated for any reason (or none at all) at any time. Unfortunately if they do let you go then they are within their rights to do so.

worked there
The worst company to work for in my life. I loved the job but couldn't handle the constant cutting of payroll ever since they made the BIG mistake of buying family dollar. Family Dollar was over spending on payroll and down in sales so they took from the dollar tree stores payroll. I go in there from time to time to make a purchase and the shelves are empty, the stores are trashed and all the Management people are leaving the company. It's not just one store that is a mess, it's all of the stores in Illinois except the store the Regional Managers office is in. He needs to take a look around at all his stores instead of sitting in the office all day. What an embarrassment to the company. He needs to retire. The Regional has been there for many years. They need fresh people. He wanted me to get fired because I stepped down from a Manager to Asst Mgr because of the stress. I went through cancer and was not gonna take a store after that happened. He tried to make it rough so I would quit the store. My District Manager wanted me to come back but the Regional wouldn't let him bring me back. My Dm new I worked hard for this company. I was a strong assistant but couldn't handle working 60 hours a week as a Manager . I worked 40 -45 as an assistant. I miss my customers and they miss me I see a lot of them at my new job and they tell me how the store went downhill since I left and they miss me. The Regional is also an Afro-American man who is very prejudice towards white people and treats white people very rude. I felt this way and others have told me the same thing. Dollar tree this man needs to retire, he has been there to long. Get some fresh meat in there. Maybe your Managers who have been there for years wouldn't have left. Maybe the stores wouldn't look so horrible and maybe the shelves would be stocked and you wouldn't be losing sales. WAKE UP! Dollar General has better quality and full shelves, great prices and happy employees. Check out 5 below as well also better quality, full shelves, good prices and happy staff as well.. Family Dollar is to expensive now. WAKE UP DOLLAR TREE CORP. empty shelves means loss of sales and loss of customers. again WAKE UP
stock of merchandise and customer service
I visit the dollar tree often and the store near my home is never stocked. The simplest items like razors are never there. The store is always filthy and it is poorly managed. The manager Atilla is very rude to the customers and staff. The lines are at least a 10 minute wait due to only one cashier working. Today the cashier had a tip jar on the counter! I feel someone should come in and do a secret inspection on this store. Yes I could go to a different store but why should I have to do that?
manager
I was in the dollar tree in Dawson Creek, BC the other day and literally all I could hear was the manager basically threatening her staff. Saying she has people that she knows so if they get out of line she'll find out and whatnot. don't get me wrong but I don't think that's anyway to treat your staff. It's unprofessional and someone like that doesn't deserve to be a manager. The girl she was threatening was basically crying right in front of her and she showed no sympathy and was basically accusing this girl of not doing her job. I know this girl personally and I know for a fact she does her job well and has always done it with a smile on her face no matter what. The manager there always has to make a scene. To add on to what I recently wrote, a friend of mine quit there recently because of this manager and the drama she always has to make. It's not a good place to work and it can't hold staff to save its life because of all the stuff that is going on there. There were also complaints on the local site about her as well, saying that she was basically gossiping about another customer when that person was still in the store and she overheard everything. There's plenty more to add to this, that just shows she's not fit to run the dollar tree.
service
I was the dollar tree store @ 1610 e. 165th st. Hammond, IN. Store # 5694. Worst customer service ever. Manager left the store with over 20 people in line. 1 cashier did not open the other cashier left her register to complete a call in order of 20 balloons that the manager gave her when she left. The other cashier took people from the back of the line finally and was very rude when asked why. 1st was Lonnie, 2nd cashier was Markaya, manager left before I could get her name. This store is famous for leaving One cashier on duty. Corporate needs to look into this store procedures. I was there October 13, 2017 for over 30 minutes at the register. Who have left everything, but wanted a receipt to get numbers to call. Which that didn't work either. THIS COMPANY HAS BAD CUSTOMERS SERVICE ALL AROUND
cell phone accessories return burien, wa store
I purchased 2 cell phone charging cords and an axillary cord two days ago. As soon as I opened them and set the seat next to me, my daughter went through and cleaned the trash out of my car. It wasn't until about an hour later that I realized that the accessories that I purchased would not stay plugged into my equipment. When I tried to exchange them I was told absolutely not. Not without the original packaging. Why not, I have the receipt. It's defective and can't be resold anyway. So why? It's [censor]! Makes me feel like i don't ever want to shop there again. Thats insane that I can't exchange just because of packaging. So now I'm just out my money on F******off accessories. Thank you very much Dollar Tree. Nice to know that once your customers money is yours your customer no longer matters.
manager
When i recently visited the dollar street located in scranton in the new shopping center near giant located at 1624 nay aug ave. This experience was one of the worst i have had in a long tim. When im procedding to checkout and use my coupons the manager on duty which her name was dorothy told me they didnt have time to scan my coupons so i couldnt use any but two. Now i have been couponing for months i know how it goes and read every stores policy knowing whats right from wrong on it. I dont understand how you have people in customer service that do not have customer service skills especially in a management position. That will be the last time ivisit that store and willlet my mutual friendsknow the kind of experience i encountered.
service
Store number #483.
I went in to store around 10:30. There were no buggies in store for customers. There was some inside full of store product and the rest were outside in the parking lot. Employees told another older lady that they only had 10. And she was rude about the way she told her. So apparently they don’t collect their buggies at night before they close. They finally got a buggy for the customer but it was after much “talk” between the employees. There were also no hand held basket to be found.
I went on to the Halloween isle and another employee was doing something with empty boxes on a trolley. I was looking through some skeletons and the hook broke off and they all fell on to the floor. I attempted to pick them up but already had my hands full (remember no baskets) and employee just stood there and watched me. I told her I would pick them up to not help me. (Said in a sarcastic tone). I couldn’t get them up because they kept falling so I pushed them out of my way and continued on down the isle. Employee pushed the trolley right where I needed to look at. Now there are 2 employees standing there talking. I tried to push the trolley out of the way and some boxes fell off. Again I tried to pick up and again BOTH employees just stood there! Told them they were rude and that the store used to friendly. They proceeded to talk between them while I tried to shop with them looking at me. While I was on another isle I could hear them talking. They were very rude and I will not be going back to that store. And when I was checking out the checker never once greeted me or said one word to me. But she was happy to talk to the customer behind me. They were rude to me and to the lady that needed a shopping cart. (She was a older lady and needed to walk with a buggy). Everyone in the at store needs a lesson on customer service and just being a human being. Again rude!

maple nut goodies
I purchased 4 bags of Maple Nut Goodies with a best by date 12/06/2017 at the Dollar Tree Store in Nederland, Texas on 10/13/17. I was disappointed because they are so hard as to be inedible. I don't know if they were stored in too much heat or too cold but I have enjoyed them for years with my dad. This is his favorite candy. Please see if you can get this corrected. Thank you Jeannie
