cashier/manager
There was a lady who was working with special needs kids that was behind me in line to check out. One of the kids was agitated so I asked her to go ahead of me. I explained to her that I have a grandson with special needs. The cashier glared at me for doing this kind act. After she rang up my items and I handed the cashier the check my husband took the bags out to the car. The cashier said next time he cannot do that until they are paid for. I said he always does that, she said we don't use the word always in this store. I mentioned that he usually asks first She said, we don't use the word usually in this store. My daughter and I called back the next day to speak to a manager and she happened to be the manager who helped me the day before. This company makes it very difficult to file a complaint. There is no number you can call to speak to a human, nor will they give you the general/regional managers number. I cannot believe they hire people like this to work with the public. This is the Dollar Tree at 6655 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO 80004. We did shop here all the time but I will NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN. This manager should NEVER be in a position where she works with customers because she has no people skills, she is very rude and not a nice person. YOU DO NOT SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS IN THAT MANNER EVER. I was in total shock I wish I had my husband bring the bags back in to cancel my sale.
customer service and restroom condition
Woodruff Rd., Greenville SC Store:
Usually love going to Dollar Tree and have never had an issue, until tonight. Went after work to pickup some items as many other were doing. Needed to use the restroom and walked in to find that all 4 rolls were empty. There was a supply shelf in there, but no toilet paper on it. Frustrated, I went searching for an associate to help but could find no one except the poor woman at the register who had a long line. Decided I needed to cut my shopping trip short so I could get home to use the restroom when I spotted an associate at the front of the store. I told her I'd been looking down all the aisles for someone to help me get toilet paper and showed her the picture I'd taken of the restroom which needed immediate attention. She looked at me and sarcastically said, you should have just gone and gotten some off the shelf or come and found someone. Hmmm.. 1. did I not just tell her that I had been searching the store for help? 2. I would never take it upon myself to take paper off the shelf in the store and take it in the restroom (your sign clearly states merchandise should not be taken into the restroom. She then continued in her sarcastic tone that "there's only 2 of us here". I stated that was a problem. She said, "that's Dollar Tree for you" - wow, way to represent your store. It continued to get worse... I went to stand in line, that had at least 7 people in it and the poor girl looked like she needed help. The other associate, in full view of her continued to unpack her boxes, in no hurry at all. 1. Why did she not immediately go and put toilet paper in the restroom and 2. why did she not open a register to help the other associate. The other associate had to ask for help on the intercom, to which, no help came right away. Another minute passed and she asked for help again and finally she meandered up (in no hurry) to open another register. I have not witnessed such poor customer service from anyone in a long time. The "lady" is make a horrible presentation of your store to the public. My closing thought is: It takes awhile to go through 4 rolls of paper in a bathroom, so when was this last checked?, and why are there only 2 employees working during a busy time when people are stopping in after work? I am hoping that someone takes the time to read this feedback from management and provides a response.
horrible service
The manager at the sikeston dollar tree is very rude an unprofessional.
I was accused of stealing cosmetic merchandise by another customer ( so says the manager charity) I was looking an smelling the body wash to find one I would like to purchase, she approaches me an says if I dont return the products I've taken police will be called, I try to explain to her I didn't take anything, I open an empty my purse for her to see for herself, she would not look she just kept accusing me an following me. I go an purchase the products I had an she said I wasn't allowed back in the store! I'm pissed at this point! I come in all the time an spend my MONEY an for the manager to accuse me an then not even look through my belongings to clear it up, just irritates me . she's a rude [censor] an I will spread the word an down this store any chance I get ! Its all [censor] !
customer service
Victim of racism.
June 17, 2017 I went to the Dollar Tree store to make a return of items I did not need. The manager told me that I could not get my money back or a store credit, that I had to exchange for another merchandise (which I did not need at that time) or to take the items back with me and return some other time store (which I find extremely ridiculous).
I picked up the new items and when I arrived where the manager was, she told me that I had to take a place on line at the registers up like any other person to make the exchange, which I refused because when I bought the initial items I was at the register line and it was unfair to spend more time and money in unnecessary products. When I tried to leave the store, she called the police, the first thing she told the person on the phone was “I have a female Hispanic, like all Hispanics for being minorities are thieves in addition to the derogatory comments that she made about my race in a rather low tone of voice, I guess not to have witnesses. She also banned me from that store. Her name is C. Christine and the store it’s located at 8101 University City Blvd Ste 1A Charlotte, NC [protected]. If Dollar Tree wants to avoid a claim for discrimination the company should transfer this person to a store where the demographic area is white like her or terminate her employment.
product/service/store presentation
Good morning all,
i'm contacting you regarding a horrifying experience at your store location #3345. Upon entering the store to shop from the front door you all the floors and shelves were a complete mess! it was almost a joke and felt like a movie. The entire store looked as if there was a riot at the location. The state health inspectors need to come out and view this store asap its truly that ridiculous. I almost tripped over many boxes and dollar tree products that are all over the aisle in the entire store. No space to move around let alone think about what you came to purchase! everyone in the store complained and immediately requested the manager.
I spoke with an employee who informed she was the "shift manager" named shannon. She then asked why. I told her corporate and the health inspectors need to view the condition of the store asap and she requested i didn't leave her name in the comments instead the correct store manager name she informed was "ericka". There was an employee that just started she mentioned 4 days ago who agreed with me that corporate needed to be connected regarding this severe issue asap and the store should be closed due to the conditions.
I will be reporting this to the local georgia department of public health and the bbb asap. I expect a follow up outside of my letter regarding my concerns and thousands of other customers that live in the community and use this local store often. Were shocked, disgusted, and angry your company would even allow the public in this store location #3345. It looks like a big trash dump! the manager on duty and off duty needs to be fired immediately to have even allowed this to happen that's not leadership at all. If you cant run a dollar store you do not need to be a manager nor in the retail/customer service business. I can only imagine what all the employees homes look like. Just horrible!
i'm going to escalate this until the founder, owner, and skm partners see this and take immediate action so please don't avoid my online contact form/email and reach out to me asap [protected] and provide me with a direct contact i can reach regarding this issue if you team isn't who reviews this
unprofessional assistant manager
I work the dollar tree in chatsworth Ga. May the 18th and a few other accessions, When my assistant manger pitched and grabbed my chest and nipple area in reaction I pinched her back. We have flirted before I started working there and some while I was there, but she has filled sexual harassment on me on the 13th of may a day after where me and my mothers celebrated her birthday in good faith there are photos on her social media of the gifts we gave her and we have sextext some and I and her have shared illusive photos and I have the photos of her to prove it. I do not belive it fair for me to be acused of sexual harasment alone where she is at fault as well. This investigation has lasted nearly two weeks now she has no evidence of me harassing her but I know the store cameras have video of her grepping, pinching, and twisting my nipples and using pens and markers and writing on me where she was flirting with me and in a since harassing me as well.
unprofessional and rude store manager
First let me mention that I am a very long standing loyal customer. This incident occurred on June 20, 2017 at approximately 1:45 pm at the 4617 Hunting Dr. N. in Los Angeles, CA 90032 store. I came in to do a simple return of 9 items with receipt in hand. When I purchased the items I inquired about the return policy. Must have receipt and if seasonal items return before the season is over. I did as I was advised. Here is where the problem begins. I thought I could get some items for the returned items and the difference either store credit or refund. The cashier who appeared to be new said she didn't think I could get cash/or credit. As her line of customers is growing (she was the only cashier). She paged the manager (I didn't ask to call her). I told her I would get other items but I was concerned about the long line I asked her if she could freeze the transaction while I went to get the other items. Meanwhile the Manager (I use the term loosely) came and proceed to speak (or should I say bark out orders) to me regarding the store policy mind you she did this 2 lanes over while checking out other customers Her demeanor was very abrasive and challenging not professional at all. I proceed to gather some items randomly just to complete the transaction. 2 of the items were food products. The Manager shouted to the cashier not the food items. I responded to her why didn't you tell me that before I went all over the store to gather these items. Her respond was that is the store policy (again with a very negative attitude). Then her final statement was "I am bad". This is a term my 15 year grandson uses when he is trying to brush you off. Not very professional for a Manager to respond. I feel for the new cashier if this person is teaching her the "ropes" what is more frightening is how does she treat her.
Just so you know who I am, I am 66 year old woman well educated and worked in a professional capacity for 40 years. I never spoke to any of my clients in this manner no matter the situation. I don't make it a habit to try to annoy a person but what bothers me the most is the lack of respect for another person. Hopefully someone will address this issue with her may be provide more training or maybe she is in the wrong field.
employees
I went today 20 miniutes before closing to get a leash for my service dog because I couldn't find hers. I didn't put her best on her. When I walked in kelly, in a pretty nasty tone said i'm sorry but we don't allow animals in the store. I replied she's a service dog. Kelly said well she needs to have her vest and I said no she doesn't. She proceeded to argue with me and said yes she's dos and I said no I don't. So then she snotty responded do you want to speak to a manager and I said no I don't need to speak to a manager. I had my husband take the dog home and get a vest. I proceeded to shop and when it was my turn to pay. Kelly who I noticed was greeting everyone different than myself, started cashing me out and I told her I just want to let you know that you need to get updated on rules. It's illegal what you did by law you are only allowed to ask me two questions. Well she decided to continue to argue that she was right and then said I was offending her. I laughed in shock and said i'm offending you? She started crying saying I was offending her and I just said look i'm being nice by telling you you need to learn the laws so you don't get fined. She proceeded to have a melt down acting like she was the one who was wronged. By that time I knew she just wanted to be right so I left my husband was back with the dog in her vest and so I showed her and said here see she had a vest but I stand by she doesn't need one. I said I apologize for making you cry but gosh I should be the one crying. She humiliated me twice once when entering and once again at the check out. I won't spend my money there anymore and that might not mean much I but I will tell all the people I know who have disabilities as well not to stay there. Or to document this illegal behavior so they can get sued.
customer service
I went into the dollar tree in Aunstin pray highway in Memphis tn around 6:45 pm. There was only one line open and it was very long. I see two females workers on the aisle talking. I asked them do either of them know how to work a register. One of the girls stood up and three a box down with an attitude and as I walked off I heard the other girl laughing as if she said something about me. When she got to the register, she didn't greet me or even look me in the face. She just checked me out and handed me my money with an attitude. I do not plan on giving that store another dime of my money if that's how they train their employees to act.
no air conditioning
The air conditioner doesn't work. It's at least 90 degrees in this store. I have been in several times and always the same. Way too hot to shop. Also the lights keep turning off. I was in the ladies room and the lights went out. Pitch black in there and I ran into the trash can trying to get out. I will no longer shop at this dollar tree on rose dale and calloway in Bakersfield California. The employees are really nice but they are dripping in sweat trying to do their jobs. I feel sorry for them having to work in those conditions. If not resolved I will be taking other steps to make sure problems are dealt with.
front store clerk
My husband and I went into the dollar tree store located in big stone gap, on sunday june 18, 2017. We went in before 6pm and noticed an excessive amount of people standing around. No one greeted us or acknowledged we had entered the store. My husband and I quickly got our items and went to check out. The hateful cashier ran my husband down and told him he had to leave the store immediately because the store was now closed and they had pulled the register and they would not check us out. We explained we had been in there for a bit waiting and no one said, "sorry we are closed." this terrible woman said she didn't care and we were to leave right then. She went as far as to order another worker to escort us to the door and promptly lock it. Hateful, rude piece of garbage. You have lost our entire family's business... We have a large family and many friends who you've lost too! Pitiful!
buying condoms with pennies
I went to the dollar store with my friend to buy a pack of condoms and they questioned about my age. I paid in all pennies but they refuse to take it and banned me from the store. I have rights as US citizen to buy what I want even though im not 18 yet. they also said i'm not allowed to go to that store anymore. can you go to the store and resolve this problem please.
family dollar i mean
unsafe consumer and employee conditions
I was in the Marlow Rd, Santa Rosa California store and was shocked at the dangerous conditions that I saw. I took several pictures of the isles that had items thrown everywhere. Boxes piled on boxes. The store room door was open and I was in complete disbelief at its conditions. I took several pictures of the store room, isles, and have video of an employee telling me how she was afraid to go back there sometimes. This store should be shut down immediately and the manager should be investigated for endangering employees and consumers! I am happy to share them with corporate offices. If I do not receive a proper response I feel obligated to post to social media to hopefully bring light to the horrendous conditions.
management
I am always shopping at your Framingham, mass store. The young man who is the manager is very rude and is always on his phone at the register. I have stopped by several times and this always seems to be the case. Besides the fact that the store is almost always a disaster area. The lack of customer service from a manager is atrocious. The lack of decent employees is another. It seems they would rather chit chat in the front of the store instead of work.
cashier/customer service
I was at dollar tree in fall river mass. on quarry st. on june 16th 2017
it was around 6:00pm an there was a male cashier name ty something. an I was with my children who r teens an they pointed out to me that the cashier had a very strong smell of what smells like weed. this is a business an should be more aware of there employee. an if my children can tell what it was I am sure others can to. not very good customer service...
coupons policy
I attempted to use 4 coupons for 4 items at the dollar tree Store #6761 located at 8707 W.Bellfort Houston, TX and they would not allow me to use my coupons. told me in order to use my coupons I needed to get 8 items. I told them that they are not abiding by the coupon policy and I left the store. This is a fairly new store and one of the worst dollar tree stores that I have shopped. They seem to make up their rules according to what your coupon says which isn't right.
So the rules on the coupons don't count?
great northern beans
Claimant went to Dollar Tree on May 21, 2017 located at 2002 E Central Texas Expressway, Killeen, TX 76541 to purchase Great Northern Beans made by Browns Best. The bar-code number on the product was [protected], and the expiration date was 11/16. Claimant cooked then consumed the beans on May 22, 2017 approximately 8:00 p.m. About 9:00 p.m. claimant started to itch all over continuously, recognizing hives appear all over arms and thighs. Claimant went to the emergency room the next morning on May 23, 2017 where Benadryl was administered to subside the itch and bumps. After being released claimant returned to the store to make a complaint. When claimant reached store to make a complaint the police were called to have the claimant removed from the property.
whoever was in charge of your store today june 15,2017
I had finished shopping and was in line and there was a young man in front of me who had 93 photo frames. The young girl rang him up and was bagging his items meantime some other people had come up to register and went over to the next register which wasn't open and the other person who was there, not sure if she was a manager or not but she proceeded to wait on all 3 of them not caring that I'm still waiting in other line. The young man obviously was having problems with credit card, so when the other customers left I asked the other girl why would you wait on them while I'm still waiting here. Her answer was they walked up on me and I said if your in charge of the store you should have asked me if I needed help first rather than wait on them and she said you didn't ask me to wait on you. I shouldn't have to ask you to wait on me and I said which I shouldn't have you only waited on them cause they are the same color as you and I'm not and she said that's right you're not and I left my items on the belt and will never go back to that store again. She should not expect me to ask her to wait on me before taking care of other people when I had been waiting at least 5-10 minutes and she knew I was there. Totally disgusted! [protected]@outlook.com
the employees accusing me of stealing and talking about me while I was shopping
I work at a daycare so tonight I was in the store shoping for popcorn boxes for fathers day gifts. I was in the store for a while because I was also looking for other miscellaneous things I can use in my classroom I went down the same aisles a few times to see if I missed anything and also Because I could not find the popcorn boxes. I got in my purse and got my phone to call my coworker to see what she wanted to do when I got off of the phone I heard the employees at the register talking about me as loud as can be saying what isles I walked down and accused me of stealing so then I just politely asked if you still had the popcorn boxes and the lady lied and said no you don't carry those anymore I checked one more time and found them on the bottom shelf which is why I didn't see them the first time. Very poor customer service. You should never accuse someone of stealing if you don't know
manager, assist manager
Could not believe my eyes when I walked into the store #1172 in san marcos, 1050 mckinley pl, 78666.. Omg... What a mess! This is truly the most disorganized dollar tree that I have ever been in. There were boxes down every isle of the store with some employees emptying them, others standing around talking. I ask one employee where something was and the reply was "we haven't unboxed that it yet"... Then later found that is was actually on the shelf. The employee did not want to help me. When I went to check out, the light at register was on but no one was there (?) so I went to the register with no light because it was open. When I walked up, I was told it was closed, even tho she was checking folks out. Instead of checking me out, the assistant manager veronica said "no, can't, won't... Very rudely". As a result I lost my place in line at the other reg. I was very mad. But then, I thought maybe this was a one time occurance. So I went back a coupke of days later. Apparantly it is the same everyday... If not worse. Boxes everywhere, no organization... It was like all the employees just quit and left all the boxes in every corner of the store... Unopened. Yet on that day there were 3 employees working. When finished shopping I went up th the front. Omg, there were at least 15 people in line at the both of the registers that were open. The 3rd one was closed. And one employee named melissa was just walking around like a social butterfly, not doing anything. Why didnt she open another register? Omg... Terrible customer service. The girl at my register said she had just started work the day before. Dont think she planned to be this swamped on her 1st day. But do you think melissa would step in... Obviously not. I called the store manager, ken today... And he was rude too. Offered no apology and told me he would not talk to me about my complaints, very rude... Basically told me to "take a hike". No wonder the assis manager is the way she is, she is just like him. Someone needs to do something about this horrible awful store. Or just close it down. Thank you.
