I've been working with Josiah (owner) and his team since they started, and it's been really impressive to see how much their company has grown and developed. Josiah knows how important it is to work hard and he's really good to his staff. I'm excited to see how Dream Exteriors continues to grow and develop in the future.
We are sooo happy with our experience with Dream Exteriors
We are sooo happy with our experience with Dream Exteriors. After getting a referral, we got a quote and a rough start date in like 2 days to replace soffits, fascia, eaves troughs, and siding. Once they started working, the team was super fast and got the job done real quick. Everything they promised was delivered. Would totally recommend Dream Exteriors without a doubt.
We hired Dream Exteriors to do our whole siding thing on our house
We hired Dream Exteriors to do our whole siding thing on our house. Right from the start, we were like, whoa, the design thing the sales person used was pretty cool. When the crew was doing their thing, they were all professional and nice. Yeah, there were a couple of bumps in the road, but the boss dude was quick to fix 'em up. In the end, they finished the job on time and it looks awesome! We'd totally use this company again and tell our friends about 'em too.
We had such a grate experience with Dream Exteriors!
We had such a grate experience with Dream Exteriors! We had almost all the windows in our home replaced, as well as a new front door, and a patio door installed in place of a bay window. *** and his crew were always friendly and professional, and any issues we had were immediately addressed. For the size of the job, we were impressed with how quickly they got everything done, and the quality of work was top-notch. Highly recommend!
Dream Exteriors did a great job with our project (2nd story siding and gutters) and we were really happy with their service
Dream Exteriors did a great job with our project (2nd story siding and gutters) and we were really happy with their service. Not many companies are interested in or willing to do the "smaller" jobs (especially during the pandemic), but with Dream Exteriors we felt that our job was just as important as a big one, had a quote within a day of reaching out, and were able to have the work scheduled on a really reasonable timeline. We have a few more projects coming up and will definitely work with Dream Exteriors again. Highly recommended.
We had our siding, front door, soffits & facia, gutters, gutter guards, window & fencing done by Dream Exteriors
We had our siding, front door, soffits & facia, gutters, gutter guards, window & fencing done by Dream Exteriors. When we first met them, we knew we were in good hands. Their team worked fast & efficiently to update our old home into a modern masterpiece that we're really happy with.
Big thanks to everyone at Dream Exteriors, especially the workers who were polite & went above & beyond to exceed our expectations.
We're excited to work with you again in the future & will definitely recommend your outstanding business.
I met the project manager many times during the project
I met the project manager many times during the project. He was straightforward, professional, and aware of all aspects of the project and what it would take to complete. I was extremely satisfied with the prompt responses and the sense of urgency given to my many inquiries by the project manager. I was overly impressed with the daily commitment given to the project by all the crews involved, especially through the toughest of weather conditions. They were pleasant, professional, punctual, and completed all tasks in a timely manner. I was completely satisfied with the workmanship and finishes. I would personally recommend this company.
From the Owner to the Office Manager, Customer Care and Marketing Manager, and the crews I worked with, I can't say enough about this company
From the Owner to the Office Manager, Customer Care and Marketing Manager, and the crews I worked with, I can't say enough about this company. The honesty, hard work, clean up, attention to detail, and ability to understand my needs made it easy to recommend this team. They were there through the tough times, weather, questions, and concerns, and handled them with honesty, empathy, professionalism, and humanity. They went above and beyond and I can't praise them enough.
I wish I had not paid for the work in full
I wish I had not paid for the work in full. Because one of Dream Exteriors' suppliers has put a lien on our house because Dream exteriors has not paid him for the material supplied for our roof. You should hold on your last payment for a minimum of 60 days, see the Construction Act RSO 1990. We now have to defend ourselves because Dream Exteriors has used the money to pay other things. The people doing the work had a poor attitude, were always late or finishing very early. Starting work around 9:30 AM, a lunch period, and often finishing early around 2:30 PM. Very short work day and always some kind of reason.
I’m curious if all of us dream victims should be grouping together. So any of us in his slimy trail
Wish I could not give a star as they dont deserve one
Wish I could not give a star as they dont deserve one. We are so tired of hearing such nonsense from the owner of dream exterior. Shortage of staff and shortage of material. You can call the office and all we get is " I will pass it on to the owner. And you think he would get back to you but noooooo. He takes your money ( deposit ) and thats the last you will hear from him. We know we are not the only ones having to deal with the same issues. We just want our deposit back and move on and no where in the contact does it say " No refund" *** We already spoke to a lawyer. The owner of dream exterior will say anything to make himself look good. But listen to the reviews from customers like us who are not happy. GIVE US BACK OUR DEPOSIT.
If u hire Dream Exteriors to do any work on ur house, I can guarantee u gonna regret it
If u hire Dream Exteriors to do any work on ur house, I can guarantee u gonna regret it. We had Dream Exteriors do three projects at our home (soffit/fascia/eavestrough replacement, attic insulation and venting, and window replacement throughout the whole house) and not one of them was done right, or without major hassle and setback. They were never on time (often several hours later than promised), dishonest bout finances and material costs, and very confrontational when questioned bout their work. Here's a real quick summary of the problems we dealt with after hiring this company: Attic Insulation - Charged us for 17 inches of insulation. When we checked, we only got 3 inches. - Owner refused to call me back to fix it. I had to threaten to get my lawyer involved before they would come back and fix the job. Soffit/Fascia/Eavestrough - Left metal pieces (and cigarette butts) all over the place. Told us to clean it up ourselves - they said they did their best. - Missed screws in eavestrough, so water leaked through. Windows - Ordered windows in the wrong color - Ordered one window in the wrong size (had to wait another 3 months for the new one) - Forgot to order one window altogether (another 3 month delay) Financing - Offered 2 years, equal payments, no interest - Contract came for 12 months with interest (owner said it was an "oversight". After all the lying we saw from this company, I ain't inclined to believe him) At one point, after we had most of our issues, the owner sent one of his employees with a $100 gift card for ***. They said it was to "buy back our 5-star review". It didn't. I'm gonna say it again: if u hire Dream Exteriors to do any work on ur house, I can guarantee u gonna regret it.

We agreed to get a white EDPM roof replacement for our trailer, but when we arrived at the site, they were installing a black roof membrane
We agreed to get a white EDPM roof replacement for our trailer, but when we arrived at the site, they were installing a black roof membrane without informing us. I reluctantly accepted the change because white wasn't available. Now, the roof is leaking and bubbling. An EPDM expert inspected it and found several installation issues: - Roof leaks causing damage inside the trailer - No flashing along the roof edge for a proper seal (I'm using duct tape to hold it down, see attached picture) - Improper sealing of roof vents or stacks - Membrane installed in the wrong direction, resulting in unnecessary seams - The numerous seams make the roof look unattractive and may decrease the trailer's value if we sell it - Wrong sealant tape used, increasing the risk of future leaks - Incorrect membrane overlap procedure, which could lead to future leaks - Not installed according to Firestone standards. After we received the expert's report, the owner texted us, confirming that the roof would be replaced. This confirmation was sent over 3 weeks ago. However, the owner hasn't returned our calls or texts to schedule the installation or answer our questions. We would greatly appreciate your help. Regards, J Brown.
My mom hired Dream Exteriors to replace the siding on our house and roof vents, which happened around June time frame
My mom hired Dream Exteriors to replace the siding on our house and roof vents, which happened around June time frame. Once the siding was done, they worked on building a new shed and siding it. At this time the scaffolding from the house was left in the backyard. The shed work continued until well into August, during which time the scaffolding was still in the backyard not being used. My mom had reached out to them several times to have them remove the scaffolding and the dumpster left at the property once the job was completed, it took 2-3 weeks to have that done, and they still had not installed the roof vents that were paid for. I myself had called the business at the end of Aug, left a message, no reply. I called again after 2 weeks (their answering machine says 24-48 hours) and left another message. I called a third time, Sept 14th, spoke with Kelly who stated that she would follow up with the owner. I have not heard back. All we would like is to have the venting replaced as promised as it was purchased as part of the renovations. I did not want to go this route, however my calls are not being returned. There might be some resentment for my mom due to the relationship between her and the business, however this has nothing to do with me or the job that they have yet to finish.
We hired Dream Exteriors in late Aug / early Sept 2021 to do the outside walls and windows of our house
We hired Dream Exteriors in late Aug / early Sept 2021 to do the outside walls and windows of our house. The owner said he would take care of the home energy rebate stuff, so we didn't have to worry. They gave us a timeline for the work and when the materials would arrive. But, because of covid maybe, the windows came late. It's okay, we understand. When they finally came, one window was forgotten and another was the wrong size. We ordered 21 windows, you know. The owner said they would fix it right away. Later that evening, we got a text from the owner saying we didn't order the bedroom window, but luckily they had an extra one in the shop. Then he changed his mind and said it was too big. He said he would order the right windows and rush the process. But 2-3 weeks later, some workers came to measure again and told us the window was never actually ordered. The owner said the job would take 2 weeks, but it's been 8 weeks and it's still not done. But he came to the house and demanded payment because "it's the end of the month and I need payment." So, we paid with a certified cheque. We're still waiting for the windows, but now the owner is saying he doesn't owe us anything. We showed the secretary the text messages to sort it out, but we haven't heard anything back. And today, the rebate program told us that Dream Exteriors didn't do what they promised for the rebate, so we're losing thousands of dollars.

My project was supposed to start in late June, depending on the weather
My project was supposed to start in late June, depending on the weather. Every week, I would talk to different Dreams employees, but none of them knew when my project would actually begin. They would give me different dates in June, early July, late July, and early August, saying that the crew would be on site. But it turned out to be lies, and I was misled multiple times. I would drive two hours from my home to the renovation site, only to find that no one from Dreams was there. They never bothered to text, call, or give me any notice that the job had been delayed again. Finally, my project started in the last week of August.
As the job was nearing completion, Josiah, the owner of Dream Exteriors, was very insistent on getting paid. So, I paid him promptly. But when I returned to my house, I saw that the crew had left without installing the eavestroughs, which was part of the work they were supposed to do. I called the production crew, and they told me that they didn't have the necessary equipment to finish that part of the job.
Fast forward, I haven't heard from Josiah since, and my job wasn't finished until September 19th by another company that Dreams outsourced. I was told that the job would be done "in house," but that wasn't the case. When I asked Josiah why he pressured me to pay for an incomplete job, he didn't give me an answer, like always.
The owner of the company repeatedly said that he would take care of the windows rebate process for me. But now, I've been directed to deal with a third-party company for a final audit. I found out that Dreams has been terminated by this company due to their poor work practices. Because a pre-evaluation was not conducted, I am no longer eligible for the $5000 grant. Throughout the whole process, I believed that the necessary steps would be taken because Josiah claimed he would handle it.
I signed a contract on June 9th and paid a 50% deposit on June 14th with a verbal agreement that the work would be done in July
I signed a contract on June 9th and paid a 50% deposit on June 14th with a verbal agreement that the work would be done in July. The contract says 25% at signing and 25% when work starts. I didn't bother correcting this because I thought the work would be done in a few weeks. But on July 18th, I hadn't heard anything, so I followed up to get a confirmed start date. I didn't get any response to my emails and voicemails until I mentioned filing a complaint. Their lack of communication and ignoring my attempts to reach them raised concerns. A good business should make it easy for customers to get answers. This, along with the 50% deposit situation, made me question their professionalism and I no longer wanted to do business with them. I asked for a refund and was told the owner would call me to address my concerns. He never called, and the next day, an employee said getting a refund wouldn't be a problem. But several days passed without any contact, so I called again and was told the owner still needed to approve the refund. A few more days went by, and I received a call saying they wouldn't give me a refund and would do the work the following week instead. At this point, they had repeatedly failed to meet their commitments, and I lost trust in this company. I didn't want them to do the work anymore. They offered me the owner's phone number, but I suggested it was his turn to call me. He didn't. A few days later, I emailed the owner, explaining my concerns and once again asking for a refund. He didn't support his employee's promise of a refund and refused. He made a point of telling me how satisfied he was with his proposed solution and how he thought it was extremely fair, even though it was "a little frustrating" for me.
Contract signed: Jan 14, 2022
Contract signed: Jan 14, 2022. Total cost: $48,500 ($12,500 deposit paid). Remaining amount financed (12 months, no interest). Work started: June 8th. Work: New siding, vented soffit, fascia, eavestrough, downspouts, mitre corners, blown insulation in attic, Moore vents, windows and exterior doors. No account # given, contract attached. Nature of the dispute is that: • Some work has not been completed. • Poor quality of work completed. • Vacation days used to supervise. • Left home unprotected and unsafe. The business has half-heartedly tried to resolve issues but has cut corners and is no longer returning phone calls, texts, and emails. Some of the issues that we have dealt with: • Informed work would start May 30th, did not until June 8th. • Multiple vacation days used to supervise staff. • June 8th eavestrough was removed, contributed to basement leaking that night. • *** • Front door left without a handle/lock from June 14-17. • *** • Debris left around the property daily. • No drop cloth used when working inside. • Still unable to hook up our security system since back door isn’t finished. • Ventilation not added to the soffit ***). • No levels used when installing windows. • No final walk through completed. • Back door – glass installed backward. • Front door – does not line up with weather stripping, frosting not straight. • Door trim – base of both doors unfished. • Attic insulation – topped up to 18” and not level (22” in the contract) • Attic insulation – no box was built around the access panel, no proper plug installed. • Front window – window installed too small and trim/drywall unfinished. • Old blinds do not fit new front window. • Front door lock – not secured. • Siding – bowed at corners, edges not finished. • Missing stickers for two windows (lost money on energy audit).
