I signed up for a 2 year loan with Driver Capital
I signed up for a 2 year loan with Driver Capital. The signing date got changed, and so did the interest and term length. Now I'm paying triple of what I was supposed to, for real! Lesson learned, only sign documents you can take with you.
Driver Capital is a company that doesn't provide any kind of agreement
Driver Capital is a company that doesn't provide any kind of agreement. I emailed them to explain my situation, but they didn't bother to respond. As a result, they sent a bailiff to my house. I managed to make a deal with the bailiff the next morning, which happened to be Christmas Eve, but unfortunately, I ended up getting picked up and arrested. I strongly advise staying away from these guys because they are a complete joke. They even accused me of stealing my own car, which is ridiculous. And now, they won't allow me to retrieve my personal belongings. This is nothing short of theft.
If I could give zero stars, I would
If I could give zero stars, I would. This one star is too generous for Driver Capital. I had my car battery replaced, and it came with a 6-month warranty. However, the plug fell out after only 3 months. I was forced to pay to have it fixed, even though it was supposed to be covered under warranty. The shop claimed they couldn't prove someone tried to tamper with the battery. It was clearly their fault, not mine. And to make matters worse, not even 3 months after that repair, my car completely broke down. Once again, the shop refused to take responsibility. I strongly advise avoiding Driver Capital at all costs.
2 1/2 years without missing a payment
2 1/2 years without missing a payment. I was stuck in the hospital for almost 4 weeks. Their emails for missed payments were unprofessional and threatening, and they went to spam, which I never check. No phone calls to my alternate number (cell). Finally, I get home to make arrangements, and the car is being towed. They charge 40 bucks a day for storage/impound fees, and their location is just *** minutes away. The paperwork for seizure doesn't match page by page. I asked for an email copy, but they sent a totally different number again. I've dealt with alternative lenders before, but this place takes the cake. Never in my 40 some years have I dealt with such an unprofessional business. Compound interest and the fact that you pay all the interest up front will leave you paying 3 times the original costs. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
I would give 5 stars if I could, but this is the worst company in the history of financing
I would give 5 stars if I could, but this is the worst company in the history of financing. I paid for a set of rims for 2 years at $249 a month. The rims originally cost $900 new, with rubber costing about $1600 to $1800. After 2 years of payments, I still have over *** dollars left on the loan. To make matters worse, the rims I had financed were damaged during a theft of my car. They replaced the rims through insurance, yet I still had monthly payments coming out of my account, even though the rims were bought out from the insurance claim. Now, my car is in the process of being repossessed over rims that don't even exist anymore, and that I've already paid for. I'm losing a $30,000 car for $1800 rims. I've already paid $3600 on them. This company should shut itself down because it's literally screwing people over and charging 300% interest. This company should not exist, and now they want me to pay or have my car taken for rims that have already been replaced.
So, I messed up and missed a payment, right?
So, I messed up and missed a payment, right? I decided to shoot them an email to see if I could pay my upcoming payment and the one I missed, plus clear the rest of my loan in just one week. You see, I can't work because my child is really sick, and my husband just got laid off but started a new job. I got an email back saying that if I missed the upcoming payment, they'd send me to collections. I asked for a manager to call me, but all I got were more emails. I tried calling, but the person who answered said they couldn't promise it would be a manager who'd call me back. And guess what? I'm still waiting for that call. I explained that we could pay the whole thing off in a week when we get our taxes, but they just told me that if we miss the payment, we'll end up in collections. Can you believe it? Just one missed payment and they're already threatening collections. Seriously, don't even think about using these guys. I have the emails to prove it. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. They don't actually work with you like they say they will. So, do yourself a favor and stay far away from them.
This company, Driver Capital, is really sketchy and not reliable at all
This company, Driver Capital, is really sketchy and not reliable at all. They don't keep their promises when it comes to the work their certified shops are supposed to do. Last year, they did a terrible job installing winter tires on my car, causing two of the tires to wear out unevenly. It was so bad that I couldn't use those tires anymore (I have pictures to prove it). I took my car to an independent repair shop for inspection, and they confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the car itself. The problem was clearly with the shop that installed the tires.
So, I reached out to Driver Capital to see what they would do about it, since I couldn't drive my car until I bought two new tires, which cost me $600. But they were not willing to negotiate at all. On top of that, they kept taking money from my account, even though I couldn't afford it after spending so much on new tires. Eventually, they even seized my car, and I had to pay $1600 to get it released from seizure. They never took any responsibility for their actions, even though they claim to support their shops and help with any issues that arise. They don't honor their contracts and don't care about their employees.
I'm going to pay off my loan in full and never do business with them again.

I missed 2 payments by a couple of days last year, and they came and grabbed my unit. They added a bailiff fee, and now my loan is over in October. They have been harassing me for payments because of the added bailiff fee.

I got this loan cuz my engine failed in my 2018 Dodge Ram
I got this loan cuz my engine failed in my 2018 Dodge Ram. I was consolidating my debt with ***, another shady company. They put Driver Capital Loan on my list of loans they would take over. I told them that *** asked me to defer payments for a month, so they could get all the legal stuff ready for the loan takeover. I did defer payments 2 times, but *** didn't do anything. My truck got taken by a bailiff. Now I'm tryna get back with Driver Capital, but they keep addin' more fees. The costs keep goin' up and it's gettin' way too much. They don't tell me how to pay or where my vehicle is so I can get my stuff out. When I talk to someone at Driver Capital, they're real rude. I told 'em that I was conned.
My car got stolen in May and I informed the RCMP
My car got stolen in May and I informed the RCMP. I didn't know that Driver Capital had a GPS on my car, otherwise I would have told the RCMP. It's okay though, because they have a financial stake in it. The problem is that when I talked to Driver Capital about my stolen car, they knew how devastated I was, but they didn't do anything to help me get it back. They even spoke to my insurance adjuster and still didn't offer any assistance. I'm really upset because I had to spend over $2000 from my own pocket just to recover my car. I just found out this morning that they had GPS in it, so I'm really mad. It's frustrating that they didn't do anything to help me, considering their investment in my car.
