Hi there,

I had thought the same, however I believe Etc - IVR 142 is actually Etisalat.

I checked the different withdrawals with my Etisalat payment via phone and they were the same

I hope this helped

You must open a dispute with the bank itself

Which bank it is

Hi I have also faced same issue with my DIB Credit card today. Suddenly 4 transactions with in a span of 4 minutes early in the morning at 1.00 am deductions started happening in my credit card account. I received 4 messages of deduction worth 9000 AED.

Message reads.. "POS Purchase of 2, 110 on Credit Card No. XXXX on ... from Etc IVR 142."

Please help anybody has any clue in this regards.

I experience the same problem, on 2nd January from etc IVR 142 and etc IVR 101. Did you get any feedback from your bank and did you get your money back?

I open a dispute with my bank (FAB), but they say it will take 45 to 120 days... it is lots of days! In Europe it takes maximum 48hrs...

The same happened to me 2 weeks ago with a FAB Card used to withdraw 3 transactions worth over AED 8, 100 via etc 142 IVR. The bank automatically blocked my card and asked me to complete a dispute form and said fraud investigation could take to up to 180 days!

2 days back, I have citi bank credit card, same fraud from etc ivr 142, last thursday I got message 3500 aed debited and transaction happen to your account after that automatically my card blocked and that tried to do 2 more transaction of 2500 & 1000 but it declined, but I lost 3500 aed and customer care people of citi bank saying it will take 7-10 days to investigate? this is how it works? it takes this many days to solve the issue? they cannot work immediately and rectify which user have done this? bank can contact with merchant (etisalat) and do confirm about the mobile number and easily rectify the fraudster but 'no' they always keep on pending things.

I can see upside recently too many people face this fraud, we can join as a group and make the complain against them.

This happened to me last week with a card from ENBD, 800+aed charged over 2 trasnactions. Thankfully card was autoblocked on 3rd transaction. To my knowledge this is some scam where the fraudster is using etisalat ivr service to buy credit or something

Raised dispute with the bank, gonna take 2-3 months
Called Etisalat (I'm not even a customer with them) they aren't able/willing to help reverse the transaction.

Same thing happen to me got a 5 transaction feb, 2020 from Etc IVR 101 and ETC 102 with total amount of 34, 200 aed. I filled dispute form and waiting for the result 45-180 days as per customer service from FAB (First Abu Dhabi Bank).

I called the bank and they don't want to freeze my account even it's under investigation, now my big problem is the interest I need to pay monthly.

Please advise what to do.

Thanks.

Similar case happened with my rak bank credit card. I received a call from customer care of rakbank on 02/06/2020 because they identified 2 fradulent transactions of aed 3263.80 and aed 1846.69 in quick succession at 18:06 pm done by merchant etc ivr 101, I checked message in my phone after they called up and was shocked. then they persuaded me to block the card and said will issue me new card with a new number. I submitted the dispute form to rakbank, I also received a new card. now I got a statement and is compelled to pay the total amount in this difficult times when I have only 50% salary from my employer.
I am really shocked how the bank server can be hacked and why the customers have to suffer because of their fault.
I immediately blocked my other bank credit cards as well because now I have lost the trust in their system.
