Mixed Experience at Dunelm Careers

I ordered a bed and it came as stated 2 days later. There was a box missing but the courier stated that their were 2 labels on 1 box and it was all there. When it came to putting the bed together it was found there was indeed a box missing containing the headboard and additional fixings.
I tried to contact Worldstores through their website route but had no joy. Then I discovered this website and another called Trustpilot. I rang a number suggested by another disgruntled customer as being cheaper: ***1259, I placed the phone on loudspeaker and left it on hold until someone answered (40mins) at first the assistant was uppity but I sympathised with him and said it must be terrible working for such a dreadful firm and dealing with all the complaints. The assistant was then very helpful and arranged for the first bed to be collected and a replacement delivered. He clearly carried out his obligations and within 48hrs the bed was collected and replacement delivered.
The replacement bed is of poor quality (you do get what you pay for in most circumstances but this one isn't worth a carrot). All the slats are bent and of very poor quality, The end caps that fit to the slats are squashed and fray the wood on the slats if you try to push them on, after being extremely careful and getting the end caps onto the slats they then don't fit to the frame securely because they are so misshapen. The metal base bar that holds the sides together has screws too long but even if they were shorter the inferior chipboard you are fixing them too is so thin the screws poke through the vinyl base and are a hazard.
Once put together because of all the issues the bed is unstable and not fit for purpose not forgetting the arterial bleed that could ensue should you brush up against the offending protruding screws.
I will update my review but at this stage I am unimpressed. Looking at prior reviews I am doubtful I will get a refund easily. If Worldstores do act promptly then I will accept that sometimes these things happen and that they are doing their best to help but with the access to customer service being so poor It makes me wonder?

It came to pass that it was many, many turnings of the Sun and the Moon before the Chariot came and David was wandering sadly in the land of the people who smell differently, across the narrow seas. However, his concubine partook of the coming of the ShireShed and could not ascertain if all was well, as the charioteer verily did not possess her language to any degree.
David returned from his wanderings in the wilderness and found the ShireShed, or the parts thereof, upon the boundaries of his land and examined the thing his shekels had purchased. He was not best pleased, as he discovered that ShedsWorld had spoken with golden tongues and sent him a ShireShed of a quality known to the Simple People as, "a load of ordure!"
Perhaps if David had lived in the Land of the Clever People he may have been wiser but...?
Seriously folks, the Shire shed 10x7 overlap apex roof model was a great disappointment, the panels all had blemishes and cracks, to a greater or larger extent and were made of extremely thin wood strips. The three rolls of thin roofing felt had all been rolled together and layed upon the ground and thus become an oval shape and this had left partly broken ridges in their surface covering, at the thin edge of the ovals. The fixing nails were a joke, with a good 50% being headless! I used many of my own fixings to complete the job.
On the plus side, the shed was well designed for home erection and was relatively simple to put up with minimal assistance. I am 71 and I managed well except for turning over the three base panels (the were manageable individually but were very heavy and unwieldy after being screwed together upside down!)
All the bits were there but the pluses do not make up for the long delivery period and the poor quality of the components. Shape up ShedsWorld and sell a product worth the money and delivered within your advertised period!

No one available to answer. Another number seems to be disconnected. Their delivery contractors are just as mysterious. In general A BUNCH OF COWBOYS. Any good reports on them were probably submitted by themselves.

Worst customer service ever - Avoid, Avoid Avoid
I ordered two bed from World Store and selected next day delivery. I also took care to call sales Team to make sure the selected delivery date was available and I was reassured it was. So I took a day off work to wait for the delivery. Nothing arrived. I phoned customer services to inquire about this and was advised that the order was delayed. Fair enough I ask them to cancel the order and refund my money. I was told the money would be refunded within 3-5 working days. I waited for 5 days and no refund received. I phoned back again... it always takes almost an HOUR TO get through to their customer service. Anyway, eventually someone answered the phoned and he advised that the refund process was not properly done in previous call and reassured me that this time I would get my refund in again 3-5 days. Today, on 5th day I received part of my refund with no reasons provided as to why the rest was withheld given the order was never dispatched. I have been trying to call the company yet again about this but it's impossible to get through. This company is STRESS, STRESS, HASSLE. Save yourself time and money. AVOID

I searched for a long time for a mattress of good quality. Different websites... decided on bedroom world. Ordered my exspensive mattress at 1pm, on line(cant do shops)... Then i read the reviews, thats it i thought, lost my money! No delivery! BUT i had my delivery at 7.20 am the next morning! So pleased and was the correct mattress, pleasant delivery men too, sorry it was so early they said, not me! I would have been very anxious all day! Well done world stores. Dont know what went wrong with the terrible reviews!?!...

I feel i need to add a positive to the negative of worldstores as what we received lends itself to it
We went to dreams to look at mattresses but had a budget, were not well off so this is a big investment & dreams, though found our perfect mattress, always wanted to upsell us & the price of the cheapest one fitted to us, massively excelled our price range.
So we knew what we wanted but wasnt prepared to pay dreams prices, so the wife went online & found the mattress we liked for ?300 cheaper from world stores so we ordered it with the promise of a 3-4 week delivery.
Well 5 weeks later & it hadnt arrived so i started to panic & started to look up reviews like this & realised ive been doopt, i thought thats it ill never see our money again, in part the reviews were damning, so i rang customer services ***500 & was a little taken aback to how helpful they were (as i was expecting rudeness &^ blais, from the reviews) they said they were the 1st port of call & they would escalate it (i thought yeah that aint going to happen) but a day later i got an email to say it'd been escaleated & the following day i had a request to when could they deliver.
It got delivered on the day (yes their timescale says from 7am to8pm & they will ring an hour b4 (didnt happen)) & the drivers were exceptional (they couldnt find our road as the satnat takes them to bollards) & ended up carrying a heavy kingsize mattress 300 yards then up a flight of stairs to our bedroom.
So yes if you want it now & then go to dreams & pay over the odds if your prepared to wait, worldstores why not

Having seen the item I wanted on Worldstores Website, I proceeded to the checkout and confirmed my order.

The promised delivery window of 5 days passed so I decided to ring and find out when the product would arrive.
Upon phoning the Customer Help line there are two options: Press 1 for New Orders or 2 for existing orders.
Having made 7 unsuccessful calls to "Aftersales" (option 2) ?ie, no-one answers the phones!. Then I tried Option 1, New Orders? Well surprise surprise, they answered the phone in 3 rings. The delight however was very short lived as they could not help in anyway and instructed me to ring Aftersales.
After another 3 Unanswered phone calls later to Aftersales, I subsequently rang back on Option 1, they told me that I could not have a direct phone number for Joe Murray, Managing Director for Worldstores. And, again told me that they couldn't help me in anyway. The Lady at Worldstores, AKA Penny?. Also then told me that she would not buy anything from Worldstores herself either! Well, imagine at this point, would I ever see my shower?
6 more calls made, all unanswered and or cut off before speaking to anyone! Also sent more e-mail's? No reply (except the automated responses that confirmed receipt of my mail).
I'm getting bored now?. I'll move to the summary;
As of Wednesday 4th Dec 2013, I have spent 368 mins on the phone to Worldstores and still have not got through to anyone whom could help me! That 368 mins@ 9.9p per min = ?36.43 of added cost and still no Shower.
Finally, on Wednesday, 4 December 2013, 11:40 I received a reply to my numerous mails from ***@worldstores.co.uk
Extract:- "I am emailing to advise the goods on your order have been since discontinued and are unavailable for delivery".
Note:- I checked the Worldstores website on the evening of 4/12/2013 after this mail and guess what?. Yep! They are still taking orders on the product despite the statement that it is discontinued.
Yet another e-mail off to Worldstores requesting the phone number / e-mail address for Joe Murray MD ?. No prizes for guessing that I have not received a reply!

Worldstores claim that they are: "We're increasingly renowned as one of the UK's most exciting ecommerce success stories and have ambitious plans to become a household name in home and garden retail"?. Well Mr Murray, I think you need to pick up the phone and run this view past your Customers!
I can honestly say that the experience I have had with Worldstores is the worst service that I have ever had and not by a short measure either! Now the even better news, the Shower is 21% cheaper than Worldstores and free delivery!

THIS FIRM HAS GONE BUST...HMM WONDER WHY...
Purchased a ?335 parrot cage, and paid once, got one confirmation of payment. Checked my bank account, 2 x ?335 were taken out. Was sent on a wild goose chase trying to get it back for 5 days. They couldn't "relocate" my payment, nor the 2nd payment they took out (due to their system being down apparently). Needless to say, very stressfull, left me in a lot of trouble with my bank (charges and direct debits not being able to get paid) which have now been taken off due to many calls and hasstle explaining it all. Lots of lies from cs via email/phonecalls, who are very rude, ignorant and utterly clueless, and put you round in circles. Would never buy from again. Also after I paid, I was asked to fill in a delivery form, expecting it to be here within 48 hours, but the earliest I would have got it was 2 weeks later. Website is all lies and misleading. Thankfully I cancelled my order. I'd seriously watch your bank account from these thieves, had it not been I just happened to check mine online the next day, they might have got away with this, which would have led to further confusion down the line. Buy from if you want your stress levels go through the roof and money go missing in your account. My bank fraud department had to be involved to sort out their mess. Never again. I wished I'd done my research on these crooks, as all over the net there are horror stories about them. I put my review up on trustpilot, but what they do is report them, and get them taken down, and enter in their own positive fake reviews, I read this a few times online, and didn't quite believe it until I saw it for myself. So trustpilot can't be trusted either. My honest review was taken down, and also quite a few negatives were taken down underneath my one, and replaced with lots of positive ones within the hour.
UPDATE: On trustpilot, LUCHIA has now reported my review, as she has no record of the reviewer lol, a complete farce

I placed an order on 20.7.18 for net curtains with a 10 day lead time. Left my mobile number with the order and was told I be would be rung when in store. 21 days later, no phone call. Tried to ring the chelmsford store for 4 days. Call goes straight through to ansaphone with options. On all options put straight through to recorded music. Didn't get to speak to anyone all week. Emailed the address on the order, received a reply the member of staff was on holiday and to ring the store. On Friday went into store to enquire about my curtains.
After speaking to a member of staff working in curtains, she tried to access my order but couldn't find it. She rang the ‘curtain making company' but they didn't seem to recognise my order number or my name. I was told to go home and she would ring me next week. As I had paid for my curtains in full, and in view of the fact that all week I hadn't been able to speak to anyone I didn't find this a satisfactory answer. She then asked me to wait to speak with a duty manager. The duty manager arrived after a wait. She informed me that she couldn't access the order due to data protection! I was baffled here. Apparently she couldn't access a different staff members orders. I pointed out that the order was with dunelm, payment was to dunelm at the till, she was employed by dunelm -what was the problem. It seemed the order had not been placed and she was trying to fob me off. I was then told how much pressure she was under, staff shortages, she was interviewing etc. I just wanted my curtains. At 3pm on a Friday I was informed she couldn't contact anyone as it was the weekend and it would have to wait until Monday.
As a customer would you be happy with this response?
I certainly wasn't and still am not despite the promise of someone will ring me Monday to update me on my curtains and the written note of 50% discount (even though i paid in full when I placed the order).

I thought I purchased a Lucy Window seat, but instead received a Lucy storage box.
I feel bitterly disappointed that I got an item I did not order, particularly as the shop attendant (who took this order), was the person who directed me to the Lucy window seat when she discovered what I was looking for. I ordered the window seat despite the fact that it did not meet my full measurements, as it was much smaller than I wanted. However, it would have slotted into the bay space quite easily.
On the day I ordered the window seat, she disappeared for a while and returned, handing over the order to her colleague who placed the order and took the cash. I was told I wold get the receipt with the order. However, on the day I was not given a receipt and forgot to ask. I did take a picture of the receipt on my mobile, but did not notice that the store staff made the error with the order in store. I only became aware of this when I looked at the mobile receipt on 2nd July to obtain the order number for my complaint.
On 2/07/18, I made an e- mail complaint found on line to (raksha.[protected]@dunelm.com) to Dunlem in Colliers Wood, where the item was ordered, but the e-mail bounced back. I immediately made another complaint; I believe through the Resolver form on line and got no response. A third complaint was made, because I had no acknowledgement to the previous and received a response came from Dunelm Direct Joanne Bezzine on the 3/07/18
However, Ms Bezzine appeared not to have read my complaint and presumed that I made the order on line. She also asked me to provide answers that were contained in my letter to which I promptly replied on the 3rd with answers. Yet to date I have had no follow up from her.
On 6/07/18, I sent an e- mail to [protected]@dunelm.co.uk, their reply was swift but unfortunately, they are a geotechnical and drilling company.
7/07/18, I phoned Dunlem store in Collier's Wood just after 3.30 pm. The phone just kept on ringing.
I would be obliged if you can sort out this matter and arrange for this furniture to be collected without any further cost to me. Additionally, I would like a full reimbursement (including the £9.95 delivery), if the Lucy Window seat is not available or a similar item that meets my dimensions.
My measurements are: 93cm width nearest the window, 55cm Height & 120cm width away from the window. 48 depth. The Lucy window seat covered the 120W, but it is smaller at the back and sides.
I did not receive a receipt from the store. I was told that the receipt will be handed to me on the day of delivery, but it was not and I forgot to ask for it. I paid £139.00, plus £9.95 for the delivery
I am very disappointed by this whole experience and I am now considering whether I need to take this matter elsewhere.

I have ordered 14 doors and 14 hinge sets from the website. The both sets of products were stated at being 48hr delivery. The date was selected for delivery and payment was make. The day before delivery I recieved a text saying that the products were no longer available to be delivered the following day. That evening I then received a mail saying that they had been dispatched. The day of delivery I then recieved a delivery of the handles and hinges but no doors.
I have been calling all of the numbers available on the website and receipt to find out what is happening with the doors but cannot get through. The hold lines eventually just hang up on me. I have spent at least 4 hrs on hold. I have also tried calling dunelm sales and asked to be transferred for them only to transfer me to the same lines I have previously been calling.
Very frustrating and I have had no correspondence as to when to expect my doors. Please contact me to resolve this situation ASAP.

Shocking service. Terrible company. Ordered 2 doors plus door frames in May. One door arrived in August with 2 frames which had no packaging and just tied with the door seals - which were bent and not useable. Complained and was told they would resend door seals - further email stated that they don't send seals - they were used just for tying up the frames! Now 26th October and 2nd door still hasn't arrived. No-one answers the phone. Waited on hold for well over an hour. Eventually got through to someone who put me straight back on hold. Really disgusted that a company can treat customers like this.

I Have been trying to cancel 4 orders for 5 and 6 days with no answers. For one of them I was offered a collection which I accepted but that was the last interaction I had 4 days ago already.
The treatment to the customer is appalling and I tomorrow I will claim my credit card company and you can deal with them if you wish as you are making me waste my time.

Why your doors are like wrong clothes from Aliexpress? What I got was wrong.
I received three doors from them, one of them was defective and two others were the wrong size, even though when I was ordering I wrote in all the measures and now have no idea what made you send me different doors... Ok, I phoned them, they were nice, tried to help, but when I asked for a refund they gave me a complete runaround, that lasted one month. I have no idea why the resolution took them so long, I definitely don't want to order anything from them and experience this mess.
purchase of 3 doors online
I purchased 3 doors from DoorsWorld website, on Saturday 02/Sept, with delivery date set for Tuesday 05th/Sept. Tuesday arrived and my doors didn't.
I referred to their tracking website, and it was down, I tried their customer service number, each time after a long wait ( average 15-20 minutes on hold) the line got cut off.
I finally managed to speak to a chap, who informed me that my doors had not left their site, and could not give me any reason, or even elude to another date of delivery, it was just depending on the courier!
I take my share of responsibility, it was my error not to check your previous customer's reviews before placing an order. judging by the number of complaints I should have made my purchase elsewhere.
A question for your customer service manager to ponder.
Do you ever look at your customer feedbacks and complaints?

Cancelled my order
Ordered a door from www.doorsworld.co website and these guys cancelled my order and told me nothing about that! Glad that I contacted my self and only then I found out my order was cancelled. They said they were not able to deliver to my address and promised I'll get my refund any time soon. Waited patiently but there was no sign of my money and every time I contacted them they gave me nothing but empty promises! What a scam! I want my money back!
Oak doors
Before you order from DoorsWorld, call [protected] and see how long they take to speak to you when you have an issue. I ordered 2 doors which were more expensive than other companies but they assured me they were in stock and would be delivered next day as I had a joiner booked to install. Only 1 door arrived. I called the number to ask where and I was customer 36 in the queue. I called the sales option and I got straight through. They couldn't help. I called the aftersales again and guess what. I was number 36 in the queue again. Shocking customer service and very costly.
Eventually got through and was told it was delivered to the wrong address and would be delivered the next day. Called at 8:15 the following morning and guess what? Im number 24 in the queue ! At 8:15 ! Rubbish. Why would there be 24 people on the phone at 8:15. I was charged over £300 for 2 doors I could have got for £200 elsewhere but I needed them urgently. This company will tell you anything to get the order, They are clearly not bothered about customer service. Learn a lesson. Check reviews before ordering.
UPDATE. Still on the phone 1 hour later. I was promised by "Joyce" that "Luchia" would call me back just as they promised yesterday. Order number not in recognised.
PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THIS OUTFIT. READ ALL THE OTHER 1 STAR REVIEWS. ONLY HALF THE CUSTOMERS ARE SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE. PAY BY CREDIT CARD AND WHEN THE ORDER DOES NOT ARRIVE, CANCEL YOUR CARD AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.
Scammers
I have ordered two doors from www.doorsworld.co and was supposed to receive them two weeks ago but still nothing. When I contacted DoorsWorld customer care service they said that one of my doors was not in stock and asked me to wait. Then they said that my order was sent and will be here soon. Then they promised I'll get my order on Friday but nothing arrived and when I called they said I'll get it on Monday.
Then they just stopped picking up the phone. I want a refund!
Scammed
I have ordered a door from www.doorsworld.co and did not receive it on the estimated date. I contacted them and they promised that I'll get my door first thing in the morning so I waited patiently. Unfortunately the did not deliver my door so I had to call them and request an order cancellation. They said that it was not possible and gave nothing but empty promises.
So my door never showed up and then these guys started to ignore me. They still have my money and it seems like they are not planning to deliver anything.
The company didn't have proper customer services and no one answered to the phone calls
I ordered two oak doors from www.doorsworld.co. I got the email that within 24 hours I would get details about the delivery date and time. I didn’t receive any email, so I decided to contact the seller, but it was impossible to get through. It seemed that no one worked in this company, because the staff didn’t respond. No details about the delivery and I am worried that I won’t get my order at all.
Furniture
I received a damaged wardrobe from Dunelm and they sent out a replacemnt part that was even more damaged, wood pieces and splinters coming off, completely wrecked. Even the drivers were shocked and communicated the issue to their manager. I am appalled at the quality of Dunelm serices and quality. The overpriced damaged furniture that completely ruined my day and o line shopping experience. I will never ever order again from them and urge anyone to avoid them. This is beyond ridiculous.
Doors
They accepted an order in early November for something that they obviously did not have in stock. They emailed me to say that delivery would not be until mid January and would I like to wait. That was the last I heard from them. They do not answer the phone. They do not respond to emails. The contact form on their web site generates an automatic email warning that it would be weeks before they get in touch and goes unanswered EXCEPT when it is used to submit a complaint: when I did this, I got an emailed question back from them followed by an automated message that my complain was now "solved" Feels like my money has disappeared into a black hole
I am in the same position, can you let me know how it was resolved?
The rep has no idea where my order was
I bought five oak doors from the website www.doorsworld.co. These jerks told me that my order was sent and no more news. After a week still no delivery, no news and when I finally reached the rep, he told me that he has no idea where my order was and it wasn’t his problem. WTF? I was so angry and asked to return money back. This jerk refused and hung up on me. I wonder if there are people, who have the same problems and what have you done in such situation, please post comments.
Lies about fast delivery
The website www.doorsworld.co and the rep lied about the delivery and charges. It was mentioned that the delivery would be on the next day, but it was lie. I have been waiting for three weeks and still haven’t received it. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who lost money. Please we need to stop this company and return our money. Post your comments.

Doorsworld.co.uk charged my credit card without authorization and do not answer my phone calls. They offer a FREE month trial and it has proven to be an untrustworthy expense.
