I purchased a car from Eagle Valley Motors about a year ago
I purchased a car from Eagle Valley Motors about a year ago. Unfortunately, this car has left me stranded on four separate occasions. Even with the extended warranty, I haven't received any assistance in resolving these issues. It's disheartening to see that after spending nearly 15k on this vehicle, it has now become nothing more than a decorative piece in my driveway. The entire experience has been a complete nightmare, and I want to warn others about the lack of reliability in the vehicles sold by this dealership. I can't comprehend how businesses like this are allowed to continue operating or maintain membership with the "Better" Business Bureau.
I bought a car from these guys without much trouble, so they get one star for that
I bought a car from these guys without much trouble, so they get one star for that. But when I tried to buy a second car, they approved the deal and we gave them a big down payment, only to find out three days later that we had to come back and sign some more papers. Minus one star for that. They completely changed the deal without any explanation. When I asked about it, they just said things had changed. Minus one star for that too. Then, when we returned the car, they said they would give us a check for our down payment refund. But now they're saying we have to wait for them to cut the check. We returned the car at 10am and it's almost 4pm and they still haven't done it. Minus one star. They did try to make a deal happen, so plus one star for that. But minus one star for giving my wife and me a complete runaround and not giving us the money right away like we expected. The car needed an oil change and they said to come down on Monday, but then they said we couldn't get an appointment for two weeks. There are some good people there, but they're hard to find. If you go there, go see the only honest person, Kevin. He'll do what he can to help you, within reason. He's the only reason I'm giving one star to this dealership. I'm going to report their shady dealings to the ComplaintsBoard.com and talk to a lawyer about the changes they made and their suspicious behavior. They had a chance to fix things with me, but they didn't meet the honest standards that most car businesses have. I'm really sad to have to write this terrible review, but I want to make it clear what kind of people are at Eagle Valley Motors. Again, Kevin is the only good thing there...unfortunately, I can't say the same about the rest of the business and ownership.

I have a GMC Envoy that I have paid for repairs on
I have a GMC Envoy that I have paid for repairs on. I tried to get my down payment back, but it doesn't work. I know it is a used car, but I am tired of fixing the car and paying money to get it fixed. My health is more important right now. I just want my refund. Also, it doesn't have a spare tire. They wanted me to go to Pick-A-Part for the tire, but they don't have a tire. I just want my money back. Just like the driver power seat, they had to fix it. It took them almost one month before I got the car. I want my money back.
So, I went to Eagle Valley Motors hopin' to get myself a car, and guess what?
So, I went to Eagle Valley Motors hopin' to get myself a car, and guess what? I actually ended up gettin' one! I handed 'em some cash as a down payment, and they were kind enough to let me borrow some extra dough as an I Owe You kinda thing. They told me to tell the bank that I gave 'em all the down payment.
Everything was goin' fine until it was time for me to make the first payment, which was just a week later. The problem was, I was switchin' jobs at that time. I asked 'em for a little extension, and they agreed to give me another week. But then, outta nowhere, after the second week, they decided to repo my car! No warnin' or nothin'!
Now, here's the thing, in our area, we got laws against this kinda stuff. They can't just do a quick repo, ya know? Your payment has to be 30 days overdue for 'em to be able to repo it. So, I went to talk to 'em about it, hopin' they'd help me out. But nope, they flat out refused to do anythin' for me. I simply asked for my money back, but they wouldn't even give me that.
So now, I'm outta a car and outta a good chunk of cash. It's a real bummer, I tell ya.

I bought a 2006 Jeep Commander from Eagle Valley Motors
I bought a 2006 Jeep Commander from Eagle Valley Motors. Just one week later, it started smoking and overheating. I had to get it towed twice for the same issue. Two weeks later, it wouldn't start at all and needed a new PCM, which cost me $940. They kept my car for a whole 20 days before giving it back to me. During that time, I had to rely on Ubers, which cost me around $500 since I didn't have my car. As soon as I got my car back, it broke down again on the same day while I was driving, putting me and my kids in serious danger. I had to take it back to the dealer for the fifth time in just five months. I used up all my tow services for the year in just five months. And to top it all off, I had to get my car towed for the sixth time. When I dropped off my car at the dealer, they gave me a loaner vehicle. But as soon as I got back into town, the loaner broke down too. They're not answering my calls, and their loaner is stuck in the 711 parking lot. These people scammed me and left me stranded. I'm out of money and a car. I'm so frustrated and hurt, and it feels like they really don't care about my situation.
On MAY 23 2022, we bought a used car from Eagle Valley Motors
On MAY 23 2022, we bought a used car from Eagle Valley Motors. The salesperson assured us that the car was in good condition despite our concerns about strange noises. However, on NOV 30 2022, while driving on the 15 south, our engine suddenly failed, causing the car to come to a complete stop. It lost all power and started smoking. Just two weeks prior, we had to replace the tires, which were never rotated, and they even put the wrong size spare tire, making it impossible for us to drive safely after the tires blew out. Thankfully, I wasn't hurt. This company has a reputation for selling unreliable cars, especially in 2022. This issue goes beyond money; it's about consumer SAFETY. They need to be held accountable for selling defective vehicles that could potentially lead to someone's death. They often use their contract as an excuse for their actions, and their reviews are somewhat biased since they pay for some of them. Additionally, we never received the $25 gift card they promised us for leaving a positive review. It's false advertising. They wanted us to return to the dealership to collect it, but they had already sent us a fake gift card in the mail. I refuse to do that after they deceived every customer who left a coerced review. It shouldn't be legal for them to enforce a sneaky (90-day) contract, knowing they're selling a faulty vehicle. This company needs to be held RESPONSIBLE for their actions towards the American public. The only way they can resolve this issue with me is by letting me off the hook for any remaining payments on the defective car they sold me. Why? Because it's completely immobile. Even the creditor doesn't want it. They should refund us the entire amount we paid, but perhaps that's something that should be pursued through a class action lawsuit.
I bought a 2013 Ford Escape from Eagle Valley Motors in January 2022
I bought a 2013 Ford Escape from Eagle Valley Motors in January 2022. The buying experience was nice, especially since my credit isn't great and I couldn't get a car from a regular dealership. I put down $1500 as a down payment. The car was running fine until the end of February. I knew I bought it as is, so I took it to a mechanic to fix it. We found out that it needed a new starter, which cost me $800 to fix. The mechanic also told me that the car was leaking a lot of oil and it could be a big repair. He thought the turbo was broken or going bad. He suggested I contact the dealership since I had just bought the car and they might fix it for cheaper. He estimated it could cost me around $2000 to $3000, depending on the actual issue. I trusted that the dealership would help me out, just like they did with my down payment. But when I called, they said their service center wasn't working and asked me to call back in a few weeks. I kept playing phone tag with them until they finally picked up the car in May 2022. It's been over a month now and I'm still getting the runaround. They now say my car will be ready next week, but I'm really frustrated. They haven't told me what's wrong with my car or given me any real solutions. I don't know what to do. I hope this complaint will help me get my car back or get me into a reliable car. I can't keep paying for a car I can't drive. Even my car loan company tried to help by sending the contract back to the dealership for mechanical issues. But nobody calls me. I'm always the one calling and being told to wait or that I'll be contacted. I really hope this major problem gets resolved quickly.
This company has broke the law and rule of ethics multiple times and they lie and lie and lie, so on day one I went in and test drove a 2007
This company has broke the law and rule of ethics multiple times and they lie and lie and lie, so on day one I went in and test drove a 2007 Mitsubishi eclipse and filled out the application and contract, at which time they asked for the down payment money of which I paid them and they said to immediately add it to The insurance which I did and we both signed the contract, then I was told it was too late to get the car that day but that they would deliver it to Me First thing the following day I missed work because they said I had to Be there, and they never showed up and they never answered phone calls or texts then 3 1/2 days later I went in to Demand my money back Or the car and as soon as I got there the boss called Tony and they informed me that Tony was on his way with the car I had been approved and that was that… then 6 days later I was called and told I needed to stop by the dealership so Tony could take pictures of the vehicle and they had one paper I needed to sign, I told them I was headed out of state for a court ordered visit with my children and when I got there they asked for the keys to get the mileage and I was informed that because they were unable to verify my employment I could not leave with the car, then I gave them my direct supervisor’s number and they verified employment except he had been out of work for the last two weeks because his brother had Covid and he was quarantined so he did not know the exact day I worked last because he had been off started accusing me of falsifying documents and lying about my employment and that wasn’t the case at all, and they kept insulting me I did get upset and told them that if I couldn’t take the car I wanted the down payment money back and they kept saying it was up to the bank and then the bank told me that they never received the down payment, I’m still waiting with no answers and I was told to take my stuff and leave the property it was freezing cold and they left me stranded...
So this complaint isn't made from ill intent, but this issue has been going on for long enough
So this complaint isn't made from ill intent, but this issue has been going on for long enough. Towards the end of December, me and my wife went to trade in a vehicle at Eagle Valley. We ended up with a 2013 Ford Fusion. They did change tires and fix alignment issue as promised before purchase. I received the vehicle on 12/16. The vehicle was purchased on 1/17. Prior to this, I did sign a sales contract unaware that the purchase wasn't complete. A check engine light came on 12/26, 10 days after I had the vehicle. I was unable to get a hold of their shop. The sales rep kept advising me to call and leave messages. The thermostat went out on 1/10. The sales team had a local mechanic resolve the issue. Me and my wife told the owner, Dan, that we don't want the vehicle. He claimed there was nothing he could do, but he did offer us a 6-month warranty which I recently found out my bank nor myself have no records of. On approximately 1/17, I received the vehicle again and resigned. The owner's son, Scott, dropped the price of the vehicle by $1000 and informed me of the warranty his dad had included, stating his dad is a lot nicer than himself. Scott reassured us that there won't be any more issues. On 2/4, a spark plug shot out of cylinder four. I contacted the dealership and had it towed to them on 2/14. On the 13th, we put the vehicle onto the trailer of my coworker. We took a look and took off the coil packs. Cylinder four's coil pack was damaged and the head was stripped. Cylinder one had a loose spark plug. On 3/5, I received a text telling me my vehicle was ready. I asked the sales rep to drive it down from Carson, which he kindly did that following Saturday. I picked the car up the next day, Sunday the 8th, and started to head home in Hawthorne, NV. Five miles out of town, the issue arose again. I was informed to bring it back and drop it off, so I did, driving 40 mph. Scott told me it's a coil pack, unsure why the coil packs weren't changed. I just waited for them to resolve the issue yet again. On 3/17, I was informed my vehicle was ready and I picked it up on the 20th. I had no issues until the 23rd. I received a maintenance light, sent it to the sales rep, and told him the RPMs jumped from 2 to 4. We then planned on me bringing the vehicle down that Friday. The issue went away, but on 3/26, on my way from work, the vehicle started to misfire yet again. I talked to Scott, he said maybe it's coil packs and he would order some and we will try that. I asked if we continue to have problems, can we switch cars and he said yes. On 3/28/30, the coil packs arrived at AutoZone. Eagle Valley picked them up and my brother-in-law brought them to me in Hawthorne. I decided to replace all four coils. Upon further inspection, coil pack four, the one they changed, had no dielectric grease, which would have caused a different issue in the future. I changed the coil packs, took it for a drive, and the same problem persisted. On my way home, I called a local ASE master certified mechanic to take a look since the dealer and their mechanics aren't doing what needs to be done. On Sunday morning, he ran some tests and found that there was no compression in cylinder four and the spark plug was badly damaged. He explained to me that there was no way a spark plug with 200 miles on it could look like this. The plug was covered in carbon buildup. He then told me the piston or valve is damaged and may need a new engine. He went on to explain that when the head is rethreaded, if it's not properly cleaned out, pieces of metal can get into the engine and eventually damage the inner components. Yet again, I had to pay to get it towed to Carson, which I did the following day, on Monday the 30th. I told him to explain what's wrong with the vehicle, and the owner, Dan, was very unpleasant and basically ignored him. I spoke to Scott when he was back in the office on the 31st, and he told me I would have to pay. I asked why, your dad gave me a 6-month warranty. He tells me it's partial powertrain, which confuses me because they have already done work on the head previously, which is a part of the engine. They did try to tell me they would cut the cost of labor from $105 to $65 and that it would be a 17-hour job, plus I had to pay for parts. He then proceeds to tell me it was a damaged valve, which I'm unsure how they would know when they haven't torn apart the engine. At this point in time, I still have not come to a resolution, and I have not seen the warranty that is covered on the vehicle. I have kids that I drive in that vehicle, and it's unsafe and unfit. When I bought the vehicle, I was promised it was the most reliable car they had, which was a complete lie from the young sales rep I spoke to. I am disappointed and can't believe a company would go this far not to fix a problem that their mechanics may have caused. I am paying for a car I don't have that's been broken this whole time. It's unfair, unjust, and unethical.
