Eddie Bauer review: Deceptive sales practices

I received a card in the mail and there is also a designation online that items in the "friends and family" section are 50% off. No code needed.

The Rainier pants I want were marked only 25% off. This happened on 10/18/23. Eddie Bauer's off-shore order department refuses to acknowledge this is an error and they refuse to transfer me to an escalated customer service person. One sales person told me the pants have to be in the "friends and family" section. They are. Another sales person told me they are "ascent" pants and therefore excluded, but nowhere in the description does it refer to "ascent pants," and when you search "ascent pants," these pants do not come up. A third sales person told me they can't apply more than one discount, which is also not accurate because these pants are supposed to be at 50% off like other items in the "friends and family section."

The Eddie Bauer corporate office is "under construction" and has been for at least a year, so you can't reach anyone there. I'm not sure why I have to work so hard to give this company my money, but I like these pants.
