Dear Egyptair,
I'm here to rewrite again my absurd and terrible experience. I state that I live in Egypt, I have an Egyptian credit card and I wanted to buy on Egypt's page Egyptair ( the price in local currency)
Saturday, November 19 I tried to buy online the Hurghada-Rome flight departing 22 and return on November 27th (one for best offer and return to platinum) in 7385. The On my prepaid card I had Le 7712.20(more money than you need to buy) . For several times the operation failed. Sunday I called both the call center Egyptair that what my bank. At the end I discovere that the funds were insufficient because the charge would have happened considering the dollar cost of the ticket 464.00 and multiplying with the change of 18 (gearbox that specific c 'it was Monday, among other things). So the ticket price would go up to The 8352 !
Fortunately I had a prepaid, and the operation was not successful, but if I had a regular credit card?Otherwise I would have found Le 1000 more without knowing it: this is called scam !
After writing several mails (where they also asked me to scan my card in the mail on 21 novembre [protected]@egyptair.com), November 21 they called me from the finance department (phone number [protected]) saying that I had the 100X100 reason and that I should not be angry whit Egyptair because it would solve every problem.
I specified that I could not start the 22 having canceled my vacation and I wanted to start from November 27 to December 2: went to best offer and return to platinum) in LE 7473. I'm still waiting
I flew with Egyptair years and I've never had any problems, but cuase of the devaluation of the Egyptian pound was exaggerating. Wanted "fool me" Le 1000, I have made clear my holidays and 6 days later I still have not received an apology for what you wanted to do.
I guess at this point, that what happened to me was not a technical problem but continue to do so.

baggage claim
Dear egyptair,
On july 30, I supposed to go from athens to jakarta as my final destination, with the initial route: athens-cai (Ms750 30jul 19:30) then cai-bkk (Ms960 30jul 22:35) then bkk-cgk (Tg433 1aug 08:00).
Upon my arrival at athens airport, I was told that ms 750 has a delay and the new arranged schedule changed to athens-cai (Ms750 30jul 22:30) then cai-jed (Ms669 31jul 18:50) then jed-cgk (Ga983 1aug 00:15). Therefore I have to stay for a night in cairo.
Upon my departure to jeddah, egyptair officer told me that they can not find my luggage tag (Under the name larasati, 7lh4yt, weigh 23kg) as they may mistakenly transferred it to another route and told me to inform the egyptair office once I arrive at my final destination. My luggage was a big red samsonite luggage there is an egyptair tag on its grey handle and my name and address is written on the tag.
On my arrival in cgk, the local egyptair office said they can not help as they have been offline for 2 months.
By this letter I need egyptair to locate my luggage and help to send it back to indonesia and also to make an official letter about the flight delay.

horrible service! and crime!
I've suppose to flight with ms 732, on 09.07.2016 from berlin to cairo.
I have arrived at the airport before the boarding time and the checking time was opened. Well there was no check in counter neither egypt air representative at all ! (They probable have check in the passenger that has arrived earlier and left the desk wile the time for check in was still on). More over there was no one in their office at the airport.
I lost a important working and day and money of course.
Once I found after someone at their office, told me that only the manager can do something about. I spoke with him on phone (Of course coz he left the working space earlier) , he was full of stupid excuses that is not their fault that I could check in !
This is my worst ever exercise with an airline ! Such a terrible service such a bad people !

The message below was sent to EgyptAir several times since 7th April 2016, and i have not yet received a response from them. I can only assume that they condone and encourage ABUSE to WOMEN
I am Riaz Dockrat, a South African citizen, and established businessman in Pretoria, South Africa.
I recently travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah with my family on Egypt Air. Having previously travelled to Egypt on Egypt Air for vacation on Business Class, I would have preferred Business Class seats, but because I planned my trip at short notice, all Business Class seats were booked for the dates that I required, so I thus booked Economy Class seats.
I however was very disappointed on returning with the one flight. On Sunday evening 03 April 2016, we flew from Jeddah to Cairo on Egypt Air, Flight number : MS672. My seat numbers were 33D, 33E, 33F and 33G.
After take-off and waiting the normal time of waiting to remove the seat belts and being able to move around, my daughter, who was seated on Seat number 33F, reclined her seat as most passengers do on a flight. The gentleman seated behind her, on Seat number 34F, hit her with something from the back on her head and mumbled something in Arabic. She informed me about this, and I told her to recline her seat again as it was her right to do so as any other passenger. He then proceeded to continuously, and violently kick her seat from behind. I turned around and politely ask him what the problem was, and he started shouting in Arabic at me. Having just returned from Umrah, and not wanting to have a confrontation, my wife asked me to just ignore the situation and instructed my daughter to move her seat back into an upright position. I then pressed the call button to call a steward or hostess, but to no response. After approximately 20 minutes, I pressed the call button again, and still was not attended to.
On landing in Cairo, I thought that I would make a formal complaint, but because we had to take a connecting flight, we were bussed off to another terminal, and the uncivilised Egyptian gentleman, from Seat 34F, proceeded into the airport towards the baggage claim.
I have travelled to many parts of the world, on several different airlines, but have never encountered anything so utterly appalling. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted, that this man, had no shame and found it fitting to physically and verbally abuse my daughter, a young 18 year old woman, for merely reclining her seat, which I feel was her right as any other paying passenger, and even further disappointed that I was not attended to by the airline staff after pressing the call button twice.

criminal behavior of egyptair employees
On Sept. 17, 2015 upon passing through the immigration checkpoint at CAI Airport, two men blocked our exit from the checkpoint and physically took my boyfriend's passport from his hand. They identified themselves as security officers, but could not present any credentials and were not in uniform. Very scared, I approached several CAI Airport employees for help. They all ignored me. One individual who was an EGYPTAIR employee, wearing EGYPTAIR credentials, intervened in the situation -- but NOT to assist us. Instead this EGYPTAIR employee assisted the men with keeping the passport and continuing to question us. The EGYPTAIR employee assisted with translation, and continued to provide that assistance even when the man asked us how much cash we were carrying -- which was his attempt to get cash from us in exchange for return of the passport he took. At one point when I said I was very nervous, the EGYPTAIR employee laughed at me. The behavior of this employee is deplorable. I wish I had asked for his name because I would have pursued this matter until his employment was terminated. I will be reporting the incident to the U.S. Embassy, and pursuing every possible means to review and publish this information for others so that they do not fly EGYPTAIR in the future. We had planned to fly EGYPTAIR from CAI-LXR during our stay, but instead we cancelled our tickets after the criminal behavior and assistance that the EGYPTAIR employee engaged in.
seat reservation
i am trying to make a seat reservation from Egypt air travel from Cairo to Bangkok as it will take more than 9 hrs, and my wife will be an adult with a baby so we need a suitable seat with bassinet.
she knows English very well and she is not pregnant.
i have find that seat number 38 G is available, and asked them to reserve it for us or any other available seat.
it is 4 days now and nothing happened even we offered to pay more money, but still nothing happens.
i have send 4 email and every time the gave me a new reason for rejection.

Regarding to flight MS180 transit from Cairo to Alexandria got delayed for more than 4 hours without any information or formal announcement and we have just waited in the plane without air conditioning then after several hours, they've forced us to get out from the plane with out any prior notice or instructions which make many passengers in the plan got disturbed and they were shouting and threating, plus you were holding us back in waiting room like refugees not allowing us to get out in other area to go until all passengers including us refused and fought to get out. Above all of that barbarity, not a single action from your airline to control or rectify this issue as a professional like any other airlines.

-All my family got over exhausted and no service was available to relax or buy food at this time.
-The baggags was delayed to recieve them for two hours.
-lost and full amount taken on the booked hotel which and We didn't stay on the whole night and they have thought we have cancled the booking.
-One of my passengers is an old lady got high pressure/sugar.
-My kids was frightened and got very bad experiance during the shouting and the fight with the passengers.
-No service or decent food as all resturants and pharmacies are close till we watin till 09:00 am to bring some food for the kids and old lady.
Really I must say as a tourist and a buisness man I'll never ever choose this airline, we had the worst experience in this flight. I have been encountered many flight delays and it was acceptable in term of prior notifcation and the way they have satisfied disrupted passengers but not on this airline that was full of terror and not even an apology.
Once I return to my home land I'll file a report and open a case to concern departments to do the a necessery actions to get my rights as a passnger from your airline and I hope the next flight MS 0645 will have no issue otherwise it will be a real tragedy for my family.

terrible experienc & rude staff
Never fly Egypt Air
1. They will cancel your confirmed seats without any notic.
2. They will misplace your luggage and be rude to you when you follow up with them
3. The entire crew and the staff at the airoplane/ cabine are rude and act as if they are doing you a favour specially a guy called Remon Seif
4. The bathrooms on the airplanes are filthy.
Sigh another four year old who has trouble admitting she only received rude treatment because she was rude to begin with. Also it is not the FA's that keep the washrooms dirty, it is the passengers.

very bad customer service, actually the worst cabin crew I've ever saw + the most unprofessional customer service agents who will always be sooo bothered and annoyed if you ever phoned them or asked them for help!
so finally i went online to manage my booking and the website is just a miss! you cannot edit or manage a thing about your flight and it takes forever to login your ticket!
nothing seems to work out! you have to wait and see your luck at the airport if they're going to help you or ignore as expected!
my advise: never go in this airline even for free!

I was on a flight from Cairo to Johannesburg. My kids were travelling with me. The food that was served to my kids was burnt and disgusting. I find it a disgrace that Egyptair can serve this type of offering to paying passengers.
I was so disgusted, I made sure to take pictures of it.
Your complaining about the burnt'ness? Look at the food itself! ... ewww. I wouldn't feed that crap to my dog!

rude flight attendants on flight ms960 (a thai girl with braids and egyptian guy with black fram glasses)
I was on Egyptair bound for Bangkok from Cairo on MS960 on the 12/1/2015. Regardless of the services that I received prior check in and before on board I can;t comment much as I guess that is the rule and regulation in Cairo itself and I totally have respect on the regulationheld by the country. However, upon boarding on the aircraft, I have to say that there is the moment when i step myself in a hell where I was treated badly by the flight attendants. Me and my husband seat was 42E and 42D. In specific, there are two flight attendants who is very annoying 1) Thai girl with braids hair, small size. and 2) Egyptian guy, tall and wearing glasses with black frame.
it started off when the girl was giving away the earphone to me and my husband was only looking and her and she suddenly stomped my husband by saying 'the other flight attendant will give the earphone to you later' in a very loud tone. we were so shocked but assuming, it's okay..maybe she's deaf and can't hear herself.
secondly, when she starts to serve the food, she serve the first row (row 41) for the middle and aisle passengers. Since, I am in the next row, I was expecting her to serve me next. However, she skipped from serving as she said the food meant for those seat on the aisle ONLY and not in the middle. Apparently there is an empty seat next to me which I'm sure she can make it exceptional since the food will be extra since no one seat besides me. I was fine with that until he serve the guy seating behind me who was not seating on the aisle but seating in the middle. So, i asked her nicely, why didn't she serve me the food as in will not make any changes at all. She look at me and SHOUTED 'PLEASE BE POLITE TO ME AND I WILL BE POLITE TO YOU. YOUR FOOD WILL BE SERVE BY THE OTHER FLIGHT ATTENDANT'. I was very very very angry but couldn't say much as I was so exhausted from 18 hours transit in Cairo.
So, the other flight attendant (guy with glasses) starts to serve the food. So, when he asked what drinks do i like to have and I said 'Apple juice please'. He replied 'WHAT? I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU!?' I don't expect such reply as I realise my tone was quite low while what he supposed to say was something like 'excuse ma'am, or i beg your pardon ma'am'. I was so angry and I shouted at him THANK YOU! that is very rude of him to shouted at my face even if he doesn't understand what I'm saying. Is this all the manners that being taught to all the flight attendant in Egyptair? It is so annoying. And what annoyed me most is the flight attendant with the glasses have the GUT to seat next to me when I was sleeping and watch movies on the on flight entertainment! Is that what they are suppose to do? I am so mad and angry with how they treat me in the flight and I swear to GOD this will be the first and last time flying with Egyptair. I am looking forward to hear some feedback from you on my issue and I am ready to bring forward this matter to your board of director by handwritten. These two flight attendants should deserve some attitude penalty to what they did to the passengers and none of what they did should ever happen! I shall write this off the highest authority IF i did not hear anything from Egyptair. I shall further file my complaint and have this to be written for further action. THIS is beyond my expectation to have such services. I have flown in many airlines with various destination but this is the WORST every experience. Hence, I am requesting a reply to my situation from your site in regards to this matter as soon as possible. Thank you

lost baggage refund
My husbands scuba diving bag went missing on a flight from Cairo to Hurghada on 10 July 2014.
2 weeks later Egypt air found the bag, still I'm Cairo, and sent it to us in Johannesburg.
The problem is that we were in Egypt on a scuba diving holiday and without his bag my husband could not dive. This meant we had to rush around organizing rental and replacement gear for my husband.
We thus incurred massive costs.
I have submitted all the paperwork and information required by Egypt air. According to their website we are entitled to a refund for delayed baggage.
They have now stopped responding to emails and I do not know what else to do?

I borded an egypt air plane from london heathrow on the 9th of august. I paid for an extra luggage for & pound;130 & that luggage hasn't arrived till now. I have written to them yet no one is concerned. I have my medication in that box and it is affecting my health plus a lot of expensive items in there.

lost my bag
I was going to Beirut on 28th of December 2013 through Egypt air Airlines, i had two bags. Both with wheels.
I arrived to Beirut airport and waited for the smaller bag but found nothing, i made a complain no. BEYMS16892/28Dec13
This bag included new stuff and important things. I followed up from there and also in Egypt nothing till now and even after going to airport several times and ruining my trip. The compensation is not even covering one of the dressesand other items i had besides the price of the bag itself. I am shocked and angry about the carelessness and not considering the loss of money and time i had for an only 1hr 30 mins flight.
We were supposed to spend the new year there but all my stuff were in this bag. That's a very bad experience for me and i expect some action from airline/insurance at least.
flight attendant unprofessional behaviour
Below is a full detailed to what happened to my wife and myself during our flight number MS 738 coming from Istanbul to Cairo Airport dated8/7/13
We were on seats number 30 (H, K and J) the flight attendants ingeneral were unprofessional and unhelpful not even smiling once. The passenger sitting right in front of us obviously with some sort of condition was almost drowning in his sweat and pleaded for water several times with no response from the flight attendants or telling him okay to wait or even worse making fun of his condition! When finally he was given a small cup of water, which he drank in less than half a second he asked for another one but the flight attendant rudely replied; "wait for the next flight attendant to give you"!
When the next flight attendant was by our side (with a bottle of water right in front of her on the trolley) my wife asked her for a cup of water and she refused and said unsmiling "no you have to wait till I collect all the food trays from the passengers"! My wife again with an angry voice demanded that she give her water NOW as it is right in front of her she then told my wife “don’t raise your voice and talk respectfully”. My wife reaction with a louder tone was “give me water now while I am still talking respectfully”. She just ran off, left her work, left her trolley and started to bully passengers into signing a paper to be used against my wife. Upon arrival my wife, child and I were met at the plane door by a police officer whom she gave her phone to talk to someone she knows to file a report against my wife!
She kept threatening us at the airport telling my wife “I will make it much worse for you” and she was even rude and bulling everyone whom they were in our side and said that we did nothing wrong including the police officer and the tourism officers.
At that point everyone around us including police and Egypt Air crew and security were telling us that we should not accept this and that she has exceeded all limits. My option was to either file a report myself too, go to the police station then Prosecutor’s office and so on but I couldn't because my child was with me all that time! Or the other option was for my wife to sign conciliation with her, which did happen unfortunately. She then continued to"teach my wife a lesson" on how flight attendants sacrifice and how once she made a teacher get expelled because he raised his voice on her (Such adegrading and threatening words)
This was complete obvious bullying from her side, because she knows someone apparently.
We didn’t want to escalate at the time for the only reason of having our 5 years old daughter with us and she have been standing at the airport not knowing what’s going on for almost 3 hours!

I sent the above to Egypt Air and Star Alliance demanding immediate investigation with the mentioned flight attendant to be made. And an official apology from Egypt Air and herself is the least that can be done for the following reasons:
- Not doing her job in fulfilling the passengers’ demands and rights.
- Trying to let passengers sign on a faulty report she made before landing.
- Abusing her position and acquaintances/friends in delaying us for almost 3 hours as mentioned earlier without a real reason!
- Jeopardizing Egypt Air our beloved national carrier image andreputation!

After waiting for my flight from #Juba to #Cairo for almost 5hrs, they announced that its cancelled. Due to a technical problem at the plane, the pilot decided to land at #Enteppe for emergency check up - as said by the EgyptAir coordinator here.
Aha, then we asked for a hotel to stay during this night, then we have been manipulated and directed to a fake guest house for labors instead of the mentioned hotel. After realizing, debating, fighting and negotiating, I managed to get a room to stay over night!
We were asked to follow up by calling this morning at 09.00am and after calling no updates were provided except for asking us to call again at 11.00am to check the flight status. One more time, calling at 11.00am to be asked to call again at 01.00pm because the Egypt Air coordinator has no updates yet about the status of the plane, that is supposed to be under maintenance.
Moreover, if they didn't manage to fix the plane today, then I am stuck here till Monday at least. Because Juba International Airport is closed on weekends, they said for maintenance!
This means that all of my work, time and stuff will be delayed for more than three days, I am still stuck here!
I suffered at the hands of egypt air
I bought a return ticket from Australia to Cairo via Bangkok with Egypt air
in my way back When I left Cairo every thing was fine at the airport. However, on the 29 January 2013 I proceeded to Bangkok Airport to board my Flight to find the check in people at Thai Airways telling me that there is no reservation for me. They escorted me to Egypt Air desk but no one there could find my booking either. I had to pay the equivalent of $1000 Australian dollar to buy a ticket to come to Melbourne. Upon my return to Australia, I contacted my travel agent and he contacted egypt air office in Sydney. After a week of correspondence they advised I should send e-mail to egyptair as the matter is beyond their control. I contacted egypt air and explanation for them the situation but they don't answer me .
I believe I suffered at the hands of Egypt Air . The booking that I made (and paid for) with Egypt air was not accepted at the Bankok airport and so I had to pay twice. I have received no help in getting a refund from egypt air.
lost baggage
My baggage was lost by egyptair 7.7.2012 on flight numbers ms552 and ms044. The case number hrgms16498, and i'm living in egypt... Egyptair customer relation didn't do anything yet, only lie to me by e-mail. They answered every 3rd mail from all. To my mind it looks like a general egyptian mentality, never tell the true, do everything tomorrow or never...

I had a CONFIRMED return ticket from Cairo to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Jan 4, 2013 at 7 pm. Flight number 669.
The flight was cancelled and nobody from the inefficient Egypt Air company informed us.
We were lucky to find by accident that the flight was cancelled the day before, from a friend who was trying to get a reservation.
Egypt Air is very inefficient, and I've had several bad experiences with it, from delayed flights, to lost luggage (twice) etc. I honestly am boycotting it for life and I wish everybody else would too.
Yes. That's exactly what i expected from an "Egypt Air Representative". All I asked was for some courtesy to inform the passengers that the flight was cancelled. And just so you know, i asked why the flight was cancelled and they told me it was because it was underbooked. IT WAS NOT CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER. Get your facts straight before posting useless stuff.
As a representative of Egypt Air I would like to apologize. We cancelled your flight due to bad weather. I am sorry that we did not risk the lives of the other customers wishing to fly along with our staff just so you can get to your location on time. I am sorry. You getting to your destination is more important than the lives and safety of our crew and other customers.
