My name is Jihan Fanous I flew with Egypt air on October 12 2024 7:35 am arrival 12:10 pm to JFK flight number 985 ticket number [protected]
Egypt airline arrived to New York -JFK- late an hour which caused me to miss my connecting flight at 2:35 pm American Airline flight number 4734 heading to Pittsburgh, PA which caused me to lose my business class upgrade worth of $60 and I lost my free check-in luggages of 2 which caused me to pay $85 to check in my 2 luggage for the rescheduled flight number 2226.
there was another connection that I missed in Chicago flight number 1594 which caused me to sleep over in Chicago until the following day flight to Pittsburgh which caused me to miss the birthday of my nephew on October 13.
the food items that I had got rotten.
plus, earlier, when I picked up my luggage from JFK both luggage were damaged and one of them was missing a wheel and totally damaged from the bottom which caused me to lose some articles worth of $500, but I was in rush in JFK and I was running trying all my efforts to catch my American airline flight departing at 2:35 pm that is why I was unable to stop at Egypt airline office to report baggage damages,
I need compensation for my 2 damaged bags and refund for my business class upgrade of $60 plus $ 85 for the 2 checked in bags that I paid for to American airline and $100 for the perished food that happened because of the initial delay of Egypt air.
plus refund of the full amount of my ticket for the inconvenience for the amount of $881.50 ,
and something else to mention, the flight had low to none air conditioning,
I almost got suffocated and my blood pressure increased during the 11.5 hour flight despite of I asked a flight attendant twice to raise up the AC.
also, in Cairo airport in Egypt arounf 5 am while checking in the agent gave me hard time over a couple of extra pounds I had in one of my bags and asked for $120 extra to check it in but I said no, and majority of the content of that bag was food and she saw that when I opened the bag to discard some items and did not explain that I have right to carry a bag of food for free which caused me to get rid of my hot food worth of 2000 Egyptian pounds.
also, we never received an email explaining the luggage capacity and numbers of allowed bags which I consider a negligence of the airline plus the boarding agent on boarding time asked everyone to line up which caused total chaos instead of dividing people into groups and asking them to start boarding by group number called. please get more organized and please take off the flight on time.

Claimed loss: 2 bags are damaged one of them is broken from the bottom and a lot of items and articles were missing, I will attach photos of the damaged bags and receipts of the missing items and the tickets to support my compliant.
