worst customer service! disconcerning manager cold coffee, (that was suppose to be hot coffee)
Worst Customer Service! This morning I stopped by Einstein's on my way to work. This is not a new location for me to go to, however I encountered a new employee who was the manager, (Jerry), who took my order. I ordered bagels + cream cheese, + coffee refill to go. I had noticed an email or some promo I received for a free hash brown, so asked for that as well. I looked in my bag and did not see the hash brown so I asked what happened to the hash brown I ordered. The manger, (Jerry) said you have to find the promo. I had 20 promos on my phone via email, and could not find that one quickly, so I said never mind. He should have offered to add it to my order for $1, which is posted on your menu, but he did nothing to help. Meanwhile, Einstein's lost the opportunity for a customer to sample one of your newest menu items. I filled up my coffee cup and immediately noticed the coffee was NOT hot at all, in fact it was lukewarm at best. I mentioned it to Jerry, who seemed to ignore me, so I told him for the second time. He walked away without saying anything. I asked the cashier where he went, and what his name was. He came back out from the back, and said, "well the thermometer says it hot. I said, but it's not. He continued to ignore me. I guess I was expecting him to offer me another cup, or apologize, or something other than ignore me. Out of frustration, I poured some coffee across my hand and said, "look I couldn't do this if it was hot"! He said, I have no idea what the point of that was. I went to look at his name badge and told him I didn't know who he was, but I didn't like him. He said, "have a nice day". This man needs training in customer service. There is a Brooklyn Bagel right across the street, and a Starbucks next door, I certainly don't need to go to Einsteins!
unprofessional behavior

I was approached by a worker after paying for my coffee, she stated "what are you doing, did you pay for that?" I was offended and embarrassed that I would be approached with a store full of guest being accused of stealing coffee. I told her I paid and left the receipt at the counter. Furthermore, she wanted to know how much was paid and I could not recall but I did inform her I used my debit card. I asked the worker that did my transaction to validate that I paid for my coffee which she did verify.
Please educate your workers on the importance of respect and dignity. If they are not sure if an item is paid in full there is a way to approach someone without being boisterous and attacking. I am a nurse of 27 years and would never take anything that does not belong to me. Thank you for your time!
wrong bagel given.
I specifally asked for bagel with spinach and egg bagel and no CHEESE, I am a kidney transplant receipient so NO CHEESE is a must. I saw the ticket transaction and it clearly read no CHEESE. 10th/broadway

Opened bagel and it had CHEESE, I was so upset that instead of giving it away I threw it away.
next day having to have frequent apt at hospital I stop at Einstein, so given the benefit of the doubt I stopped at Einstens on 6th/broadway again the next day. I ordered plain bagel and 2 mochas. The you;ng lady handled my mocha with her FINGERS in my cup. GROSS..
only made my felling nauseas worse.

iced tea behind the counter
I have been going to Einsteins for years. To the point where when ever I am out of town I seek out a Einsteins. My two daughters 17 and 20 have been going with me as well and we even had a birthday party for my youngest when she was 8 at the Dallas Texas location which is my "home Store". The main reason I go is for the ice tea. Recently due to a change in policy the ice tea urns on the counters by the drink fountain machine and coffee urns has "been moved behind the counter" per corporate.
I have tried to"get along" with the new policy since I do love the ice tea so much but I can not sit idle any longer. This is a horrible mistake. I watch customers that purchased fountain drinks and coffee go back and forth for refills but because I am drinking ice tea I have to wait in line until I can be assisted for a refill. And I know that this has to be a mistake but I was told that we are suppose to pay for refills. I know that cannot be right since ice tea costs next to nothing to make. Coffee and fountain drinks cost way more to produce than tea.
Please stop this insanity and put the ice tea urns back out on the counter!

gift card use in chelmsford ma store
Hi!
I frequent this store quite a bit and often receive gift cards from friends/coworkers. Ive run into a problem when i try to use them.. I'm told they are "invalid" I ask what that means but am told by the staff that they dont know. I check every card balance on line prior to using in the store and they all have a balance...$ 10 and $25.
I have about $75 in gift cards now and could use some assistance if youre able.

I am an employee at American Airlines and I frequent this location almost everyday for coffee. I also frequent your location on South Blvd in Charlotte NC. And the airport location is by far the worse service and rudeness. But I love the coffee and the discount price so I just bare it. I ordered a bagel and a coffee with my coffee cup and received the discount accordingly. I ordered a cup of water along with my order and they charged me an extra $1 for a cup of water. Your other location that I frequent has never charged me for water. And never had I been to a restaurant that charged for water especially if I ordered other items and spent money. I was very disappointed in this and I would like an explanation and some feedback. Thank you for your time!

I entered the store on Saturday, 10/6/18, 11am. Most of the bagel baskets were empty. (See attached photo). The lady behind me in line asked when more would be ready and we were told one hour! I asked the worker at the register how they could let the supply get so low when they still had four hours until closing time. He had no answer. Halfway thru eating my breakfast, I decided to take pictures of the empty bagel baskets. The worker behind the counter saw me taking pics and threatened to call the police if I didn't stop! It's sad that Einstein's employs an individual such as this who was prepared to call the police on me because of a picture I took showcasing the poor quality of service provided at this location. Really not good for business. This is one example of many that demonstrate the incompetent leadership and management at this particular location. Something needs to change.

The main manager "Piper" has been rude to me every single time I am there and today in an argument she started over price confusion she under her breath called me "[censored]" I am a black man and I have several witnesses and do intend on taking more action. She is noticeably rude to everyone who is black and I've sat inside the store and witnessed her treat other black people poorly, all the while she is extremely nice to all the white customers. I will bring attention to this. If your company doesn't want this look get rid of her.

On 07/23/018 and 09/06/2018 I went by Einstein Bagels store on East Broad Street Athens GA 30602 location around 7:00 am and again at 7:30am to find that the store was not open on either day at the scheduled time frame 6:00am-5:00pm . I had a very important meeting with some clients and was going to get there Monday special 13 bagels for $7 with one tube of shmear until i saw they were not open for business in which no sign was up other than closed, lights off, and doors locked at a time they should be open and operating. Later that day i saw they had closed around 3:30pm when this was not a summer hour operation so 5;00pm was the closing time . Very unprofessional and i will not be going to this location again.

2nd time they can't make sandwich with the meat I order
This is the 2nd time that I have ordered a turkey breakfast sandwich from the location at 135th Antioch, Overland Park, KS., and they give me the wrong sandwich. I had ordered a turkey breakfast sandwich and when I get to work I realize that it is turkey sausage. I start my day at early so at 5:08 a.m. there may be one customer there besides myself, so they can't blame it on being busy. When I call them they tell me that I should have asked for turkey "breast"? Really... umm... key word SAUSAGE, if I wanted any kind of sausage then I would have specified this information. Maybe they should ask customers instead of assuming, especially if they have 2 kinds of turkey. Sorry but most folks get turkey when they say "turkey" not "turkey sausage", makes no sense! This time the employee was nicer about it, but the last one 9 months ago (quit going.. now I am done), was EXTREMELY rude.
Yeah, they are expensive and terrible customer service. The 1st time it started the lady sneered at me when I went back to replace my order and I had asked if she could throw in a cup of coffee since I had to go back and she tried telling me that I am already getting a free sandwich, how does she figure that? I brought you the sandwich, and I spent gas money going back since they messed up my order! And she cant spare a cup of coffee...CHEAP, LOUSY SERVICE. buyer beware lol... done with this company.
You need to be specific in your order because you are making a substitution. There is no breakfast sandwich with turkeey. There IS one with turkey sausage. So yes, YOU need to be specific.

This morning I went to Einstein Bagels in Lake Mary Florida at 7:25 am. I walked in and there were a few people in the place and three workers. I went to the counter and asked to place my order. I waited 4 minutes four minutes for someone to wait on me even though there was no one else waiting and a worker standing there. The woman told me I had to pick from the pre dozen already bagged. I said no I wanted my own. She had an attitude and I watched as the manger ( I didn't know it at the time) stood there and did not say a word. I left but then came back and saw the two of the women laughing. I then asked for the manager, who I realized was the woman who was standing there before. I asked her if she saw everything. She basically said and did nothing and didn't apologize at all. I left and went to Brooklyn bagels where not only did I pick my own bagels, they were friendly and they also gave me freezer bags! I buy 30 dozen bagels a month for my employees and customers but I think that I might reconsider my options now. Thank you Terry Brady
turkey cheddar cheese asiago bagel
This has happened to me every single time I order a simple bagel .. All I ever want is just a turkey breast and cheese on asiago bagel and the staff always manages to mess it up ..I don't understand ! Today I picked up the usual ..I went back today thinking it won't happen again but it did instead of a turkey breast and Cheddar geese on asiago bagel I got a chicken strip and Cheddar cheese. What!?! How hard is it .. I shouldn't have too check my order every single time I leave Einstein bagel!
poor bagel made
I was in the Store #2922 located in 3556 D South Jefferson St and I asked for a Avocado Toast. The order took a while to be ready (15 min). Once I saw the order driving on my way to work, it was straight up bread and nothing like the nice picture they had on the menu. I felt disappointed since I was excited about the breakfast but it was so poorly made. I decided to go to the store to ask for a refund and the cashier there asked me how can he helped me and I showed my order and she said "Do you want more avocado?" I was like "No, I want my money back." She said "oh, ok. I need to call my manager." In the meantime I waited nothing was said. Manager came and I asked what I wanted and I said my money back please. Then she proceed to give me the refund when the system crushed. I have worked in Food industry over 10 years and I know that it could happens so I said take care of the others customer while I wait. I was not offered anything like a cup of coffee or something to make it up for the pain of having to drive back to the store, wait there, and be late for work. The management on that store is really poor. When the manager gave me the money back she did not even say sorry about that or anything. I know she does not care about my business and my $4.02 that I spent, but that is not the customer service that it should be provided. Everyone asked me at the office what happened because I looked upset and I showed a picture of the "avocado toast" everyone laughed. Hope the management improves in this location. I felt I wasted my time and I was not appreciated at all.

I spoke to the store manager regarding the issue which she told me they were having trouble with the oven. It appears that their is an on going issue with the oven or they simply do not wish to produce the required stock necessary to conduct business.in any regard you may want to consider a change in your management or purchase new equipment. Better yet place another store closer to ann road and jones. I hear the recession is over an I would love a store closer to me.

lack of leadership and organization
I often go to Einstein and it's always the same lateley. No bagels! If I'm lucky there still on the bake shelves and team members are taking them directly from the trays instead of filling racks as bagels are made! I can go in at 8am or 8:30 or 9:30 am. All baskets are empty except for jalepeno and ancient grain are full!
When you ask the staff they look at you like something is wrong with you... and as always "it will be 45 minutes " for your request. So I Eder the jalapeño with egg and bacon. Well I guess I'm in a restaurant cause it takes 30 minutes to get coffee and a jalepeno sandwich when NOBODY is in the shop.
If your location in Park Ridge Illinois is interested in being proficient and passionate about their efforts to stay open you might reconsider maybe having something to sell to your customers... unfortunately Dublin Doughnuts will be getting my business moving forward!
rude management
I visited this location for the first time May 11, 2018 and am disgusted by the way this older blonde lady was barking at orders at her employees. Specifically I witnessed her raising her voice at this girl asking her if she had spoken to the customer on the phone and told them they could change their pickup order to delivery. The girl said she didn't say that. That she was asked something else entirely. The blonde lady started saying she was making her job harder by having to make this delivery. The girl responded saying I already told you that I didn't tell them that. That they're making a mistake. The blonde lady walked away from her and started complaining to another employee right in front of me at the register, as she was taking my payment. She then walked out angry huffing and puffing about it. I was utterly dismayed at the lack of respect and speaking about it in front of customers. Ridiculous!

Sunday April 5th, 2018 at my job there was a conflict that occurred between myself and my Gm at Einstein Bagels as we was serving customers after handing out an order to a guest my manager begin embarrassing me in front of atleast 45-50 customers stating "You gave out the wrong order you are wasting my time" I replied "I didn't give out the wrong order that was the right order I gave." she replied shouting "Be quiet you are still wasting my time talking to me. I then stated"Chrystal I refuse to sit here and allow you to talk to me any kind of way embarrassing me in front of customers and co-workers, she then asked me to clock out and leave the store I told her that I wanted to continue to work my full shift after my shift is over then I will clock out she had one of the shift managers clock me out, I called cooperate they told me I had a right to work my full shift she was called and she told me to come back and clock in when I came back the shift manager asked me what am I doing and I told her I was told to clock back in she pushed my hand and yelled across the store to the gm "Chrystal please remove him from me" and she got in my face with her finger in my face and begin to threaten me saying "You don't know who the [censor] you are [censor]ing with I will [censor] you up" the gm then said im being a disruption to the store and I was very embarrassed afterclocking back in the shift manager continue to say out of the way stuff to me and I asked if I can now go home I don't feel comfortable here. On Wednesday April 3rd I came into the store to get my schedule she told me me im not working this week and that she was waiting to here back from HR I was then told to ask to leave the store for being disruptive and I have witnesses that can testify for that she then had me removed from the store from fort Lauderdale police and gave me a trespass warning. I will like to fight this and sue for embarrassment, emotional distress, and color discrimination
your extremely rude and unprofessional staff
Your staff was extremely rude, and unnecessarily combative, to us when we came into your store on Roswell Road NE in Atlanta GA. I just don't understand how you are supposed to work in food service, and do so with the attitude that your staff displays at this location. If this were my business I would be embarrassed. They talked about us the entire time while we were eating as well. I will never eat here again and I will request that one ever come to this location again. I hope that this situation is an outlier and not commonplace.

I went to einstiens on NAU campus in Flagstaff AZ, the girl at the front counter gave me one of the best experiences taking my order, but the lady in the back wuz extremely rude to (what I found out were her employees and customers because she's the manager, as I was informed) I would suggest new management before you get sued disgusting manager I've never seen anyone talk to customers and employees in such a manner, how low of a person she must be
my entire order
Was at the Scottsdale store on scottsdale road and thomas on friday, the 16th. Just had surgery and it was my first day out of the hospital and I am one-handed because I had a shoulder replacement. My order was incomplete and also they did not do what I asked I have been trying to call that store since Friday afternoon and I keep getting a message that they're busy and to call back I finally given up on calling them since I had surgery I'm not able to get over there unless I can get a ride. I asked for a toasted bagel with cream cheese on side but they put on bagel. I asked for 2 lava cookies, only got 1. I asked them not to heat the mini bagels but they did.
