The food and the manager
At approximately 8:35 PM I ordered a burger and impossible. They made the burger wrong and they burned it. I had to walk a long way to my hotel room and I am handicap and disabled. I have diabetes. I was trying to call the phone for at least 25 minutes straight. Finally I got through and the female manager said I need the burger wouldn’t let me talk very unprofessional I said I’m going to call corporate she says fine that’s great and would not give me her name and I tried to call back and nobody answers the phone. She lied was unprofessional and needs to be disciplined. All I wanted was my burger remade. The way I ordered it and expect it to be not burnt to a crisp dry. The manager or so-called manager was a female and thinks a customers complaint is a joke.
Claimed loss: 11.99
Desired outcome: An apology from the rudemanagerHave her disciplined, and I like my burger, made properly. And some type of compensation for my horrible experience.
Racism
My family and myself walked in to Johnny Rocket’s at the Outlet of Orange and seated and told customers they can eat there. When it was our turn he was extremely rude and kept saying to go only he didn’t let us talk. I have never been treated so degrading in my life. What was more disgusting is that my children witnessed the whole thing. Management really needs to be replaced.

I’m 69 and my husband John is 67. We are both handicapped and I use a mobility scooter. My husband and I wanted to get a quick chili dog and grilled cheese at Johnny Rockets at Mohegan Sun. We got there a little before seven PM on Wednesday April 10th. There was one family in front of us in line when we got there. The restaurant was not full of diners, and there were many tables that were still not cleared. After a short wait, a hostess seated the family making us next. John asked for a table or ½ booth/1/2 table. He was told he would have to take a booth as no tables were clean. He tried to sit in a booth but the booth was too tight. (he’s a large person) My husband asked again for a table saying the booth was too small. The hostess who was also the manager told him it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait because they had to clear tables and he said ok. (even though we saw clean tables with no one sitting at them. )He asked about the clean tables and were told NO. She tried to push him into a booth again and he told her I don’t fit . I’ll wait. After 15 minutes, he asked what the status was. Four groups had left during that time, one a group of 8. We assumed that there would be four empty spaces. Including a table. We were told that 15 minutes “doesn’t mean 15 minutes and they would get it done when it got done”. At that point we began to get annoyed and John asked how much longer. She walked away, went over to the other servers and had a conversation with them. We thought they were coming up with a plan to clear some tables but instead she and most of the other servers slowed down the whole process, removing one item at a time, bringing it to back of house and coming back for one more, moving at a snails pace. The slowest I’ve ever seen.
48 minutes later from our arrival, we still have not gotten a table. It’s 7:48 and too late to make Bobby Flays. By this time John was very agitated because his sugar level was probably plummeting because he is supposed to eat before 8 PM and it was very close. He asked if we could sit at tables that were visibly cleaned in the rear. She looked at me and said does she have to bring that cart? It’s a mobility scooter and it’s because I’m having problems walking. Previous visits there we brought the scooter to the rear where there are tables. Yesterday there were plenty of tables that were clear. He said yes, she gave us a dirty look, and walked away from us, to seat a party of 3 who came in after us. By this time, a waitress who had been watching all this led us to a table in the rear and gave us a menu. She even moved my scooter out of the way for me after I was seated.
For the few minutes we were seated, we could see all the debris on tables, in booths and on the floor. To be honest with you, that restaurant was probably the filthiest one we’ve been in. We are surprised it hasn’t been shut down by the health department!
For some reason there was a whole section of tables and chairs in the back of the restaurant up against the wall probably 10 or more tables and an appropriate number of chairs all pushed up against the wall not being used. It’s important to note that an older couple came in and sat themselves at a table and pulled out some chairs. This pink haired manager came screaming. “You’re not allowed to sit there that’s closed” and made them get up and move to a booth which was a struggle for them to get in.
The manager was very horrible and was not somebody that I would ever expect any company would have representing them. Its unlikely that we will ever, ever eat at a Johnny Rockets. I do commend the one waitress who tried to get us seated. She was most likely reprimanded by the manager for trying to be nice to a customer because the manager certainly wasn’t nice. (we think the managers name was Emily)
The next thing we knew 2 or 3 Mohegan security people came and told us that the manager said to tell us that “she didn’t want to serve us and wanted us to leave”. Security told us that the manager said that my husband swore at her. That is not true. He was angry with the way she treated us but he did not swear at her at any point in time. He did tell her she was a horrible manager and he was planning on calling Johnny Rocket Corporate to complain about our treatment. She did everything she could to not accommodate persons with handicaps, although in past visits there we had no problems, even on busier days!
I did give my contact information to the security person telling her I would be lodging a complaint about our treatment by the restaurant. The security people didn’t even take time to listen to our side and hear about the way we were treated. I’m not exactly sure what they thought a 69 year old lady on a mobility scooter and a tired, hungry, handicapped 67-year-old man was going to do in a restaurant full of people , so apparently, we were a threat that required a cadre of 8-10 security people waiting outside once we were escorted from the restaurant.

Service
On May 10, 2022 a group of individuals (16) to be exact entered Johnny Rockets located at Westgate, Glendale, Arizona. The server refused to serve our group, she would not permit us to sit closer together being our individuals were part of the Development Disabled community. They were RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL and we ended up going across the street. not to mention their tray of hamburger patties were laying across the trash can.

I’ve done deliveries for a while in NJ. Almost every restaurant I go to pick up an order, I get everything in a big bag to protect the food and for more comfort when transport it. Sometimes it’s not necessary the big bag because it could be a small order that it’s well packaged, but when it’s about orders that have food and drinks, at least Mc Donald’s, and restaurants that have ethics and respect for customers, will put everything inside a big bag and on a trade as well the drinks.
I was doing deliveries back to back on a day that I had to go to this JR on Washington Ave, in Hoboken, NJ. It was the first time I saw this guy calling himself manager a Latin one . He is new there because for a year and 1/2 that I have been doing deliveries I’ve never seen him there.
I got there for a pick up order that has food and 2 shakes. Orders employees always have giving me the big bag when I’m transporting drinks and food because they always understand how uncomfortable is for drivers having that drink only on a trade and putting on the floor of a car that is dirty or on a car seat where it can spill .
I request this man in a nice way to give me a big bag and he says that it was not necessary . I insisted and he told me that every delivery person take drinks on a trade and that was ok.
I told him that it’s antihigienic , not profesional and uncomfortable to transport drinks that way, even it can be dangerous because drivers can even have access to the drink and cover again, while driving it can spill on the car seat or any other situations that had happened or can happen. Besides, delivery people have to leave orders a lot of time by customers doors and sometimes door is by the street . Customers delay picking up their orders while those drinks seat they’re properly covered inside the big bag.
This guy called manager pulled away an employee young girl that was about to give me one bag and he told her to don’t do anything to go away. He told me that everything cost money now and I asked him what was he meaning with that? If he wanted me to pay for it? I told him that a customer paid enough for his food to be left at his door and that he deserved the entire order being inside a big bag with those too shakes that he had.
I should have called the police because and have support at least from them. This guy told me to cancel the order and released to another delivery person when that brings consecuentes for me because, first I would have loose the payment for delivering that order, second, according to Uber , I would have canceled an order for no reason , third , the order was prepared already and it was midnight almost, so another delivery person would have take longer to get there and pick it up since there was not many cars around.
This guy it’s unprofessional, ignorant, disripectful with me that had the toll of customer at that moment, and disrespectful with the customer, unethical and should be called to fix this ir out of that place.
That JR is on a very competitive area because there’re too many nicer places with delicious food and owners or managers are present and do respect the fact of giving away deliveries wrapped the right way or is we request a big bag , the don’t think about that twice because they respect customers and don’t want to loose them.
I live few blocks away from that JR on Washington Ave in Hoboken NJ and while this guy is working there, I’m not going to that place ever again , although my times there have been 1 or none a year.
Next time I have this issue with this disrespectful that call himself manager, I’ll call the police to see if he is not going to give me one of the big bags to wrap all the food and drinks , that they are hanging right in front of the employees behind counters.

This is my first time eating at your establishment. I will never return, I was fighting flies and other insects. I made this situation aware to upper management and he did not do anything about it. I also was not offended a refill on my drinks and was looked at as a complainer. I will make this known on social media which I have over 34, 907 followers.

Arrived at your location in the block in Orange Ca.
After waiting 15 minutes for an empty table to be cleared we finally sat down.
15 minutes after that I had to find our waiter by asking the person who seated us. 10 minutes after that we had gotten up to leave when our waiter finally arrived.
He took our drink and food orders simultaneously, since we had been waiting for so long we knew what we wanted.
My daughters had milk and a root beer, my wife a diet soda and me a chocolate milk shake, that your Supposedly famous for.
We order burgers and fries and onion rings with chicken strips for my 3 yr old.
The burgers arrived looking like they had been thrown together . The strips had been burned and my daughter wouldn't eat them.
Meanwhile STILL no shake. We all finished eating and the waiter swung by to ask if we wanted anything else. I wanted a shake. And I NEVER Recieved it.
The table next us sat down. Had a waitress in under 2 minutes, order 9 shakes which arrived minutes after that.
ME? STILL NO SHAKE.

Stopped at Johnny Rockets at airport, PVDJRS01, , , we had only two people in front of us and after we ordered it took 27 mins to get our food ! Once we got the food, not happy. I ordered the JR Double and got a regular single burger, only got one french fry and it was cold and soggy. By that time just wanted to eat something so did not correct it. There were only two employees there at 11:06 am, the cook left twice for over 2-3 mins with food on grill, stopped each time over by the pizza place to yell and wave to friend on other side, that was unbelievable and then the young woman taking orders, stopped taking orders to make a milkshake, 10 mins later she finally gave up and the cook did it, during that time the 6-10 people in line were being ignored and no orders taken. Never seen anything like it, no wonder my order was wrong and food cold.
I would like a refund, cold food, incorrect order and 27 mins to get it. I wont be going there again in my travels. I have my receipt still of 27.59 and would be happy to provide it and my order # 8870.
extremely poor service
My husband and I were awaiting flight at Port Columbus International Airport from Concourse C 4-23-17. We had about an hour and 15 minutes before our flight, and about 30 minutes before possible boarding. I went to Johnny Rocket's on Concourse C to order take away food to eat at the gate. I arrived at the restaurant with only a few people eating at tables and one person ordering at the counter. After taking that person's order, the clerk left the register to make a drink, and never even acknowledged my presence in front of her. One cook was on duty. It took several minutes for the clerk to return to take my order. Our language barrier was so severe, placing the order was slow. The clerk took my payment and fixed my drinks. Then a party of 5 or 6 came in, and it took quite a few minutes for the clerk to take their orders. Meanwhile, my sandwich was finished and placed on the rack to be given to me. Rather than handing me my sandwich, the clerk proceeded to make drinks for all the 5 or 6 customers behind me. After several minutes, I caught the cook's attention and said I really needed to get my sandwich and go. He said the clerk would get it to me, but she didn't. Eventually, and I guess seeing my growing anxiety and irritation, the cook came out from behind the counter and handed me my sandwich. I thanked him and told him I really needed to get going for a flight. His reply was that "everybody needs to get going up from out of here." In all, I would say that it took about 30 minutes from the time I walked in until I left to get one BLT and two Cokes. The store ID is CMHJRS01, and order number is 1621. I don't want to cause anyone to lose jobs, but want to point out that some modifications to accommodate people who are likely to be in a time crunch are needed. Maybe they were shorthanded that day or the store needs more staff, but procedures need to be evaluated in order to move customers along better. Honestly, if I had not already paid, I would have walked out.
Fraternizing
I resigned from my position because I felt very uncomfortable with Edgar and Stephanie being overly touchy in the office along side with Stephanie being treated differently whenever an issue or discrepancy arose she was never advised of for warned about anything. I was being contacted at indecent hours of the night receiving text regarding my scheduled...

Today, my sister and I went to Johnny Rocket's, the Forrest Hills, NY location for lunch. I have been telling her for the longest how great this place is and finally got her to come with me there.
We got there about 12:30pm and left about 2pm.
Everything started out fine, we ordered drinks and the food.
My order - chilli dog with the chilli on the side and a diet coke
Naomi - Soy burger (or something like that) with cheese and an ice tea with a flavor shot of vanilla.
The drinks came no problems there, then the sucks started coming like crazy:
- My sister didn't like her ice tea (she later told me she didn't taste the vanilla) and asked for a lemonade (which was the same price as the lemonade and that had free refills) instead. The waiter brought the lemonade and then says that she will be charged for it becuase he had to enter the lemonade into the cash register. We were like WTF?, why didn't he tell us this when it was asked for. My sister said she didn't want it then, because she didn't want to pay extra for it. The waiter then just left it on the table.
The food came:
- My sister burger came with no cheese and she told him that. He then was like you know you have to pay extra for that right? Again we were like WTF? We knew that when we origonally ordered the burger that we would be charged extra for it, we got no apology from him.
- My chili for the hotdog was supposed to come with cheese on it, there was none so I had to ask him for it. He also neglected to give me a spoon to be able to eat the chili. I had to ask for a setting 2x, and when I finally got it, it consisted of a teaspoon and a butter knife (he was holding the silverware in his bare hand, the silverware was not in a napkin).
- We had to ask him for the thing to put the ketchup in
- Since we had to wait for my them to get my sister's order right, we were eating my fries and finished them, I wanted more and took me a while to get the waiter to get a fry refill. They have this thing that you get all you can eat American Fries with any entree.
It was like he really didn't care.
Meanwhile, while we were getting this sucky service from our waiter he was giving excellent service to the table right next to us and again I was like WTF? He was even taking their order when our food was on ready on the counter, and taking his time with them.
We asked for the check and at that point I asked to get the movie tickets. They sell discounted movie tickets to Regal for $7.50.
We got the check, the waiter just left it on the table and didn't say a word. I opened the check holder and saw that we were charged for the tickets but didn't see them in there. At that point I had enough and asked for the manager.
The manager came and I told her about that I usually got good service when ever I came here, but this time I got really bad service. I listed off all the things that happened.
When I brought up about the cheese not being on the burger the manager started making excuses for him and I was like no, he even admitted that it was not the cooks fault and that was his own.
We were then left with the check, the check was $38.99. For the food, drinks and two movie tickets.
I put in $30 for the food, my sister then gave $10. I told her it would be great if you have $9 in exact change, she then went into her wallent and got a 5 and 4 singles. We paid $39 and left him a penny tip. If we had 99 cents in change I would of left that.
She was like I am sorry and made it sound that we were going to get a 10% discount right then off the bill. Instead I got a 10% discount card with the date that looked like 7/9/09 on it. It was like she didn't really care about us and was just brushing us off. I was like I had it with this and resolved when I got home I am going to call the corporate headquarters.
When we got home, I called Johnny Rocket's customer service hotline and made a complaint to them about what happened. I felt like I got a more sincire appology from the person on the phone then I did from the manager. She took my address, name, number and email address and said that she was going to send the complaint to the head people.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
