Emirates my flight home was delayed by 17 hours

My name is Katharina Lytras, I was supposed to be flying back home to Melbourne Via Dubai from London Heathrow on Friday 17th August 18 at 22.15pm. Arriving on 19th August at 5.35am.

I had notification very close to the time of departure that the flight EK0006 from london to Dubai was delayed and would be leaving at 23.59.
I was concerned that this would be a problem with my connecting flight to melbourne.
Flight EK0406.
I was then messaged and advised that my flight was moved and I was now on a flight on 19th August at 2.40. This meant staying the night in Dubai. And being extremely delayed.
I rang and eventually after talking to one of the customer service reps was put through to Alistair Trodden the supervisor.
This new flight would have meant I would be arriving in melbourne on Sunday night at 21.50- I would be arriving home after midnight at best.
With a business meeting the next day planned where I was giving a presentation I was not happy and asked repeatedly how this could be improved. And at the very least given an upgrade seat where I could sleep.
To put things into context I had also been in london for a family emergency for 2 weeks- my father was in Intensive Care and was seriously ill and had to have an emergency operation after losing many pints of blood. We had also been told on the friday I was to fly that he has Bone marrow Cancer. I did not want to stay the night in dubai as it would be a longer journey and Alistair put me on a flight the next day as there were no other alternatives available.
I asked repeatedly if there was a way I could arrive earlier on the Sunday. I had deliberately chosen this flight so I could have at least 1 day of rest to get over jet lag before my presentation the next day. When this was not an option I asked repeatedly how they could make the journey more comfortable so I would be able to at least sleep on the plane.
Apparently an upgrade was not something Alistair could authorise and he said I needed to talk to some one at check in... I spoke to many different staff, check in- told me I needed to speak to a supervisor then the Duty manager- nowhere to be seen, then told to talk to someone at the gate.
Then told I would need to speak to them at Dubai gate. At the Dubai gate I was told I needed to speak to the Supervisor. I spoke to a total of 7 people and was sent on a wild goose chase and a real run around. Getting more and more frustrated. In Dubai they said they couldn't do anything. Alistair had put me on a seat next to an infant who cried for most of the journey back. There were at least 4 babies in the area of the plane I was seated in, As you can imagine I had no sleep at all.
I was exhausted felt upset and uncared for.
I have always loved flying with Emirates which I have done often when I am going back to Europe. I was about to get an emirates card as the check in staff told me that as I fly so often with you that a Qantas frequent flyer card was not beneficial for points. This was the 2nd flight I had taken this year to Europe. I had deliberately chosen this flight as it was the shorted lay over and the quickest for the dates returning.
I have been so disappointed and frustrated. 17 hours delay is really not acceptable.
It impacted my family who are already distressed and were taking me to the airport. It impacted my work- being exhausted and not performing at my best and has left me feeling hugely disappointed with Emirates.
I don't know how i can justify flying with your airline again after this. I am flying to London for Xmas and now very much doubting flying with you.

Emirates late flights

dear sir my name is mr Graham Sutton on Saturday 28th of july 2018 me and my wife were flying to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport where we were catching a connecting flight to udon thani, but we missed our flight to udon thani this was because the two emirates flights EK040 from birmingham andEK384 from Dubia were both over one hour late by the time we got off the emirate flight in Bangkok and collected our luggage our connecting flight to udon thani had gone . we then asked thai smile airways if they could move our tickets to the next flight but would not because it was not there fault we missed our flight so we then had to buy new tickets which cost 7, 600 baht I spoke to emirates customer services in Bangkok airport who told me it was emirates fault we missed our connection I have flown with emirates since 2015 and am a skywards member number EK-[protected]. I would therefore like to claim this 7, 600 baht back from you as it was not us at fault

Emirates complimentary hotel for 21 hours layover

I am Joseph Oluseyi Malomo, Silver Skyward Member EK [protected].

I am a top Government official of Nigeria. I serve as the State house Chaplain to the Vice President ( now Acting President) of Nigeria. I give advice on religious matters to Mr. President.

I have a confirmed ticket to fly from Abuja to London with with my family (Wife & 3 children) on Wednesday, 22 August, 2018. Booking reference
H38DGB. I was just told by your Staff that there is no Complimentary hotel for us despite the 21 hours connection and with 3 children. The reason is because there were other shorter lay over flights. With due respect I xonsider this as unfair.

There is no indication while booking online to suggest such. It should have been stated online while booking. This may amount to serious damages and injurous to travelers who have made no arrangement for such eventualities. As a first class and front line Airline in the World. I believe such lacuna should be avoided.

Even if such complimentary arrangements are not available to all, it certainly should be for families with young children. What impression will it have of the Airline to those young ones?.

All my 3 children have raised their expectations to visit the Dubai Fountain & Dubai Mall for some Shopping within the lay over.

I kindly do request for a redress of the situation by granting us the Complimentary Hotel.

Furthermore, may I kindly plead that you make it plain in the Online booking as a Note: "that this 21 hour Lay Over does not qualify for Complimentary Hotel and opting for it means Travelers will be personally responsible for hotel or visa.

The truth is that your Complimentary hotel makes many turn down other airlines to fly Emirates. Please dont stop.

I do hope to hear from you sionest for the redress before the travel date.

Emirates emirates stealing our reserved seats

We understand that occasionally airplanes are swapped out, resulting in changed seats. We keep checking to ensure we keep the seats we paid for, but today Emirates has again kicked us out of our extra legroom seats for the third time since we purchased our tickets from Alaska to Johannesburg in December 2017. We are MVP's on a partner airline of Emirates, but were just told there is only ONE extra legroom seat left on EK 229 on Sept. 17 - since they apparently gave our pre-purchased seats to someone else. My husband is over 6'4" tall, which is why we purchased these extra legroom seats last year. Emirates says, sorry, too bad - oh, and if you don't REQUEST a refund of the amount you paid for the "special" seats, then Emirates keeps (steals) the money that you paid.

Emirates upgrade

Ref: GYMWCW when i wanted to check in, a special came up to upgrade. My daughter and I are flying JHB ( South Africa) via Dubai to Copenhagen. The special was for JHB to Dubai, so i paid with my credit card but after i paid it showed an upgrade from Dubai to Copenhagen. I have phoned Emirates many times today and no one wants to help me. I want to change the upgrade to JHB to Dubai.

Emirates Lost baggage

My name is Renaldo Brierley, i was travelling from Dubai to Cape Town on Emirates, them Cape Town to Durban on Mango on 12 July. The lady at Dubai checked my bag through all the way the Durban. Flight EK 525907. My bag is lost and nobody can help me, Emirates say it is Mango and Mango says it is Emirates. At the airport when i reported to Mango, they gave me n telephone number to phone and my copies of my flight details. Thats all, nobody told me to make a claim. I have been phoning from Saturday morning. We are currently on holiday until 23 July. Every person i phones gives me another number to phone, i am very frustrated and disappointed. We were on a flight from Rome to Dubai yesterday when we checked in2 baggage and had two hand baggage . We were well received by a lady in one of the counters who gave us boarding passes, . We went ahead for security check up where I found out that I had a bottle of wine . I decided to return back to the counter and check in another small bag of mine which contained the wine. I went to one of the online counter(there were all total 2) and met with a lady who couldn't even understand English and just after one small conversation where I was trying to explain her that I want to check in another baggage because I have a wine bottle in my bag she started speaking something in ITALIAN and also said very RUDELY in English " WHAT IS UR PROMBLEM" . She called another man called ' MARCO' who understood what I had to say and I said let me go one side and put somemore stuff in the hand baggage I wanna check in from my other hand baggage . When I am goin back to one side Marco started speaking loudly '' PUTO PUTO'' and pointing towards me . I found this behavior of both of ur Staff extremely Racial and pathetic. I was totally disgusted. When I returned back to the counter of the same lady she then smiles and tells me ' O this is wine, u have to wrap the bag and then give me'' . When I asked why didn't u tell me earlier the same thing she had no words. This was another sick act of her which was totally racial and rude. I cant express you the disgust I felt then and what I am even feeling now when I am writing u this complaint . It took me 30 minutes to come back with the shrink wrapped small bag and I went to the other online check in counter and got it checked in. I asked the lady at the counter name of the other lady who was rude and pathetic. she called ' MARCO' again who refused to give me any name including his. I located a man wearing a Emirates Uniform and told him about everything and surprisingly he told me they are not Emirates Staff. I felt so low and disgusted on my whole flight to Dubai. I mean in this Age of the world and with a world class airline this is what u go through just because my colour is Brown. Just because I don't speak Italian and the other person doesn't understand English. Honestly the west is such a insecure place just because of Sick, low thinking people like your staff I had to deal with. My wife discouraged me to even file a complaint but I told her I am doin this not only for myself but also for several people who deal through similar behavior everyday.
I am eagerly awaiting to know what steps you guys want to take after you have received my complaint.

Emirates crew cabin

I was in Cape Town on December 10, 2016 on the Emirates plane, and the very thick commander took me off the plane and I was talking to him. Just giving me some food would make me happy because I have hypoglycaemia. I was taken off the plane without any help from Emirates they did not call anyone to meet me to know what I really had to take off the plane. I was humiliated in front of the passengers being taken off the plane, Emirates made me spend all my money I had and made me go through a psychological and emotional upheaval, made me feel traumatized by plane, and now I do not travel alone anymore, I have Syndrome the panic, and because of Emirates they ruined my life. Today I can not work anymore because of Panic Syndrome, and they made me pay for food, transportation and hotel I tried to talk to Emirates and they did not want to help me in the email

Emirates baggage

Flying from Vietnam to South Africa via Emirates, what a rip off and unethical company, I had no handbag, just my backpack but the ladies bag type with my laptop as well as my 7kg carry on luggage, my bag that has my laptop has nothing else in it so despite me not having a handbag they made me pay for a full bag going through, 400 us dollars to be exact. Emirates standards are falling so rapidly it is nothing short of disgraceful. last month my mom flew with them, they moved her from an emirates flight to a thai air flight, without refunding her ticket.

Goodbye Emirates, from booking all our flights on your airline we will now gladly fly via Qatar,
I hope your flights become so empty you realize the value of being blatant thieves

Emirates ripoff / scam / returns

On May 2018, I purchased a two way ticket from Emirates . com I picked the most expensive one because it allowed for returns and changes without any fees. When I canceled my return ticket that cost me over 1, 150.00 USD they only made a refund with 307 USD. Every time I called their customer services number I was told that they dont have the authority to assist me, and that I had to file an online compliant. But they ignored all of my complaints . I never heard back from them.

Simply put, they are a punch of thugs practicing modern fraud.

Emirates lost property

On the 17th of april, I travelled with my 1-year-old son from sydney to budapest with emirates. We checked in our luggages, and also we had our bugaboo buffalo denim diesel pram with us because we put our trust to emirates...
Long story short, emirates somehow lost the uncover on our way to budapest.
Today, one and a half months ago I still don't have the suncover., no replacement and no compensation, because emirates want me to send the pram back to them in order to receive compensation for the suncover... This is our policy if you have a damaged item they said. But the pram is not damaged, the suncover is missing. So it's called lost property in my translation...
Our holiday is ruined, i'm under constant stress and no one is giving me a reasonable answer to this brainless idea, why should I let emirates collect our property?! The pram is not damaged - the sun cover is missing! (they can't replace it because it is limited edition)
Please someone... Would you give me an answer? I sent you emails and I still have no answer...
(emirates offered aud1230 compensation for the loss of the suncover but only if I send the pram back. The pram worth aud1999-1500 itself!)
I called emirates budapest and emirates dubai and asked to overrule their decision but I still have no any response

Emirates flight

I booked a flight from kuwait to Thailand for myself and a friend on 19/04/2018. We were booked on flight EK858. On this flight to Dubai we sat in seats 85A&85B we felt as if staff forgot about us since we weren't served drinks and only got food flung at us when the captain announced that we' Make our descent in 20 minutes . This was a disgrace. It was however worse on our return flight. We were booked on flight EK377 on 26/04/2018 @ 15:40. We were sat on the runway for well over an hour. The aircon stopped working and were only told to disembark when people started taking their luggage. We were left stranded till almost 21:00 before the aircraft was repaired and we could return to Dubai. Once we landed in Dubai at about 1am. We were informed that there were no flights to kuwait until 7:45 am. Myself and my friend had to buy extra tops and shawls to stay warm. Again we accepted our fate and didn't complain, but the airline should have offered to pay for hotel accommodation. To add insult to injury as I was about to board my flight to kuwait EK855 an alarm went off and I apparently had an alert on my luggage. I was left very confused, since no explanation was offered. I believe I'm due an explanation here. No official apology was issued to any of us for the delay and shoddy service. I'm deeply concerned since my friend and myself are booked on an Emirates flight in June to South Africa. What nightmare awaits us next. I hope you'll get back to me promptly, because as a loyal, paying client I deserve much more and better than this.

Emirates denial to board the flight

I boughts round trip ticket from Boston to Uganda (Ticket Ref: SRYRTN). I was to board back to Boston on the 15th. When I got to Entebbe Airport at check point, I was told emirates check in period had ended 3 hours ago. I arrived at entrance at 2:50pm. Emirates flight was to set off 4:10pm. At the check in was told to rush to emirates office upstairs to talk to emirates stuff to check me in because there was still enough time for me to check in. When I got to the emirates office, I found an emirates employee on his private mobile phone chatting. I stood there for about 20 minutes after which he attended to me. He did this to buy time so that I miss the flight. He was rude, he told me pay $900 to book another flight. I quote his words, "Go home and sleep. When you finally make up your mind, you can pay this amount of money we need from you to be able to board another flight tomorrow!" After pleading with him for about 20 minutes, He walks out of the office leaving me desperately in suspense. While I stood there, in matched am emirates check stuff who told me, "we just closed off the check in a few minutes ago!... On hearing, I called the emirates customer care number +1800-777-3999 to explain the corruption st the emirates office Entebbe. I spoke to a gentleman who put me on hold to call Emirates office Entebbe Airport. Unfortunately, he told me no one was picking up the call. The agent told me to take my phone to Patrick (Emirates Stuff at Entebbe Airport). Patrick told the Emirates agent that"I came in 3:25pm which is a LIE. He lied to the Emirates agent I called in the phone. To cut this short, I missed my flight, this issue has costed me employer's trust at my job back in US, It has costed more money to buy another Ticket. I need Emirates to look into this matter. So many people have complaint about Emirates Stuff and also missing flights.

Emirates emirates airlines

Dear Ms. and Mr.,

My name is Hassan Ebid and I am a member of The Emirates Airlines and my membership number EK-[protected].
I was on the flight no. EK303 seat no. 52H on Monday 2nd of April 2018 coming from Shanghai to Dubai.
I experienced a very intolerable situation during the landing of the plane. The flight attendant Xuena Zhang, talked to me in a very impolite way and was almost shouting at me in the presence of other passengers. I demanded to see her manager the crew supervisor Ms. Anastasia Austen who came and was trying to hold her from attacking me in front of everyone. I was trying hard not to lose my composure as I respect other passengers, the fact that she is a female and that the plane was landing. Such an offensive behavior is unacceptable and must be acknowledged and addressed as it is not the expected outcome of the training of Emirates airlines crew.

I am a regular passenger on LH and I have started traveling with Emirates Airlines lately. The service I got was not the one I expected at all.

Thankfully, the and Mr. Arup Biswas the Purser, collected all the information from the other passengers who found such a situation inappropriate and were willing to testify on the incident with me.

I would appreciate a prompt response to such unexpected behavior from a reputable airlines company as yours.

Emirates luggage broken lock and handle

i travel in emirates last march 28 from amsterdam to philippines via ek150 and ek 334 i arrived at 8:34 in terminal 3 and because of long line in immigration and tiring travel when i got my luggage and hold it i notice the handle was broken already i search for someone from emirates how can i ask where to complain but i see nothing and just leave the airport cause waste of time.But when i got home and about to open the luggage i see that the lock of my luggage was broken too i just want to know what can you do about it?

Emirates damaged bag

After arriving home on monday 19/03/18I noticed that one of my suit case tier And puller it was the first time we had used it and it was a good quality case. The flight no. was ek613 Islamabad Pakistan to Dubai my seat numbers were 46D. The flight was delayed when I buy the ticket flight time 9:00 am After few days I get the mail Flight is 7:30am when I reach the airport flight was delay 40 Min..
And when I reach the Dubai I found my bag is damaged.

Emirates people at jfk airport

Hi this Nagam i booked a ticket for my daughter she is 15 years old she travel by herself and I called Emirates to ask them if I can do that and if they have anyone to Watch over her and they said yes we do so I gave them all the information they wanted from New York and all the information about the people they going to pick her up from the Dubai airport and I booked the seat too the lady on the phone she told me she is miner
She has special Seat .so at JFK today at the Check in place the lady was so rude with us she was why you ask for someone to help her she is 15 she gave us hard time she was Rolling her eyes when I was talking to not the lady who took my daughter to inside she was very nice but I think she was new so she asked the lady next to her what she should do the lady who came to help that same lady was rude and inside at the gate the people were there 2 People wouldn't help my daughter and the lady was with here they were very rude and they wouldn't give my daughter her seat the one I booked for her they gave her different one and my daughter had to talk to them and ask them to give her the seat she we booked because they wouldn't lessen to the lady who was with my daughter and they ended she didn't have same seat but something similar
