Incorrect order on disconnect
On August 10, Entergy took it on themselves to disconnect my electricity without a disconnect notice. My daughter was moving up here on my property and called to have hers turned on. It was at the same address, but they didn't tell her she would need an a, b, or c to have hers turned on. Today on August 25 they call me and tell me about it. An electrician came up here around the 10th and I showed him where the pole was, which was not close to my house. I have called several times, with no satisfaction.
Desired outcome: Better training for your personnel.
Over changed by hinds county mississippi clinton entergy
I met with James A. Entergy out of Clinton Mississippi running power to my home site. 10 grand he initial told me, so I hired mulcher to clear trees $2500 to cut cost. He still charged me for over $ 7300 hundred dollars 2 poles and transformer. I been with Entergy 30 years different home sites. Never felt so disrespected. Distance from road is 300 feet. So why was this not even discounted? I am in Claiborne County MS.
Desired outcome: I like discount close to free of charge for my second meter in the future. I like it in writing.
Overcharged for services, Of coarse they give you discount for other accounts. Entergy acts like stealing from them.

there was 3 of your big trucks with the buckets . They had things all spot lighted and it was a full operation. No lights out nowhere in this area. So, after about 40 minutes you could hear "Sorry Ben, we can't do it". After i say 10 minutes this army of trucks left. It looks to me someone was hooking up power illegally. The 116 South St Building light was going out and back on as i drove by, So they were trying to hook up 220 maybe? Sure ok but why so late at night? Whatever Skullduggery was going on they could have burned down this area doing whatever it was they was doing. I do have pictures and video. Email if you need them.
Desired outcome: Don't burn down this area people have homes and families here.
changes to log on
I have been logging on without a problem for years. My email & password were saved. Seemed like i was set up for automatic payments without ever requesting that, but i just let it go. I was sick of receiving paper bills, so I starting getting an email telling me my bill was ready, then I would pay it after signing on to my Entergy account to look at the bill.
All of a sudden I was unable to sign in. I didn't change anything. I went through the suggested steps on line that always took me back in a circle to where I started.
I finally called Entergy (which I hated doing) The rep told me which email to use and to add 4 zeros in front of the password. She was clearly in a hurry to get rid of the call. we terminated and I followed her instructions, which didn't work. I made a second call and was told to reset my password and wound up at a page that was expired. At this point, I gave up and asked for a paper bill. If there was a choice, I would go with another company, but that does not seem to be an option. Then you add insult to injury by a pop up asking me to sign on to "social" when I try to send this. Desired outcome: Just needed to vent. I am not going to fight to get access to my online account again. Already spent an hour trying to sign in and this doesn't include last night.
I am having the same problem and have been on the phone with them for two months now.
I have moved to a new apartment and have been living here for almost 3 months.
My brother was paying for my bills in the past and he and I talked to Entergy over the phone to have the account changed over to my name.
I have been on the phone trying to get the account changed for two months now. I have called Entergy several times and told them my name, address, SS number, email, and phone #.
I still cannot log in to look at my account which is very frustrating.
I hope my complaint will be resolved ASAP.

this is similar to my problem -- i have logged 6 hours on the phone with 'customer service' so far -- i'm outraged and incensed.
If i rely on a paper bill process again (I have had both paper and online acct for YEARS), i then run the risk of relying on US Postal service not getting my check to Entergy on time and also won't be able to see my billing history. Why provide online access to a utility acct for a customer to manage their acct then yank it?!?!?!
Entergy Fuel Charge is EXCESSIVE
My Entergy bill has almost doubled in two months. In May it was 375 and my July bill is $630. I called Entergy and they explained that fuel charges were increased and broke down that my energy charge was only $288 but the fuel charge was $260. The previous month my fuel charge was $160 and energy charge was $243. Their suggestion to me was to hire a company to come and assess the energy efficiency of my home...yet my usage has been similar for the last 12 months. My energy charges are fairly consistent. The FUEL CHARGE is what has increased and by their own admission, that has nothing to do with my usage! So the remedy is for me to come out and assess my home, that they refer me to...so I can spend MORE MONEY? The issue is the FUEL CHARGE! This is unacceptable and they know they can do what they want because we don't have another power company to choose from!
Desired outcome: Entergy should be forced to reduce the fuel charges and refund all of the millions of customers who have been robbed!
Incorrect billing information
Good evening! I'm writing this email on behalf of my father who is a senior citizen. We called into Entergy on July 22,2022. We spoke with an agent and discussed my dad's bill. The agent clearly informed us of the total and that we had until 8/15/2022 to pay the bill without services being disconnected. Well, we received a disconnect notice on 7/21/2022 stating that we had until the 27th to pay the bill or the services would be interrupted. I called in to Entergy today 7/26/2022 and spoke with several agents, several supervisors and they all pretty much told me the same thing ( nothing could be done) I asked if they could please pull the call and listen to the information I was given. They never would pull the call and admitted I probably was told incorrect information however, still nothing could be done. I basically was told to pay the bill or my services would be disconnected due to misinformation on their part
Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be to better train their staff and that they would show some accountability and honor what was told to me.
Service ripping me off my meter doesn't work but yet I'm getting Bill's for over 400$
They are crooks, PSC of Louisiana is getting kick backs for sure. Total bull crap. Fuel surcharge more than my normal bill. Oh and we are paying for repairs that where not close to us. Bit yet Leo got a 10 million raise and 1.5 billion was given to board of directors. And you know who else. How can these public service commission people afford million dollar homes, beach houses and toys very expensive toys. Wake up and do something about it be an American stop taking kick backs or hush money what ever you want to call it. North Louisiana commissioner rejected this, but he was the only one. Because he knows he has to meet his maker one day and is an honest man. Oh and my meter says off line and 0 kilowatts used for 2 weeks now

Overcharging/kw usage
How does the kw usage go up every month to the point of being double from the previous year when nothing has changed in my home? How does the Storm Damage Restoration charge go from being 3 dollars and some change since Hurricane Ida to 24 dollars last month and 33 this month? I can kind of understand fuel prices but the rest is ridiculous! The last few months my bill has gone from 93, 104, 177, 247 and now to 385! After speaking to a representative of Entergy, she suggested I set my thermostat to 85 during the day and 78 at night to save energy and to unplug anything not being used. I died laughing. Nothing has changed in my home in 8 years. Bill is a little higher in the summer and a little lower in the winter, but this year my bill is going through the roof, and I'm not the only one. Sooner than later, no one will be able to afford power in their home. Someone needs to check on Entergy and find out why the CEO just got a raise and now makes 17 mil a year, record profits again, but the people that they provide for are unable to make payments!

prices are not correct
You all are raising prices and not checking those meter readings. I am currently NOT living in my home. The only things on are A/C , set to 77, and a refrigerator. April bill was $57, May bill was $167 and June bill was $242. Again no one is staying in the house, so nothing else is on. Why is my bill tripling? I did expect an increase due to gas prices and hurricanes but this is truly ridiculous!
Desired outcome: Check the meter readings. Lower my bills as they should be.

Is SMART METER smart or not
First of all been on level billing for over 20 years with never a billing problem.
Bill was always $230 to 250.00 give or take $15. Now went to pay my May bill and it said $1324.16 I like to fell OUT I called Entergy the lady was really nice and said oh lord thats a big difference and i said your telling me i asked her to please help why this is. She told me to call back on a later date that she would check in on it. Ok the later date came and i called back to get a really rude lady this time she did not want to help at all and iventually she ended up hanging up on me. The next week went online to check and my account said nothing we apologize for the delay in getting your bill updated ok fast foward a few days later check on it and it said $1724.16 I did almost have heart attack falling out once again i called got a man and that didnt want to hear anything but pay the bill he said charges were from the prior year billing before the smart meter the reader must have read it wrong now keep in mind that im on level billing been paying the same payments as above he said the other ladies should have put me on a payment plan i told him why when i have paid the same amount for years he started getting frustrated as i did too with no help he said the smart meter is estimating my bill now is that smart or not long story short i had to pay the $1724.16 cause it was being disconnected the next day. This is the worst ive ever had to deal with Entergy ever.
Desired outcome: Understand why the bill said it would be revised but it really wasnt.
Price gouging
I would like to know why my bill jumped up over $100. The charges in question. Fuel Adjustment Charge and Storm Restoration Charge. Normally Fuel Adjustment is between $30-$50 and Storm Restoration is $2-$5. Tell me why this month Fuel Adjustment is $97 and Storm Restoration is $24. This is absurd even with the heat. I have never seen this jump. Looking forward to speaking with someone.

Disconnection of service
We are a corporate housing company in Mississippi and have multiple utility and cable/internet bills coming in every month. We rely strictly on paper bills in order to keep up with and pay all of our bills. I requested service through your ASAP department as we always do, and my order was confirmed. Our correct billing address as well as our Tax ID was on the order I placed, and I have proof of that. Several months later one of our apartments was disconnected due to non-payment during an extreme heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service. We found out after our client returned to her apartment late night after being out of town. She had lost all of her freezer and refrigerated items and had to go to a hotel. When we called in, we were told the bill had been going to 440 Cross Park Dr. which is not and never has been our address. We paid our past due and current charges over the phone immediately. Entergy is refusing to credit back one of the late fees and the reconnect fee. This cost our company almost $400 in lost food and a hotel stay! Desired outcome: I want all late fees and the reconnect fee credited back. If not, we will take further action on the billing mistake and the disconnect during extreme heat advisories.
Free thermostat install
I received an email from Entergy advertising free thermostat installed if your Qualified. I call the number listed . They scheduled an appointment to come out to check the doors for air and install the thermostat. I was told by the interviewer that i would hear from some one in a month. 1 1/2 months went by no response. I called to find out why i was there was no return response. (Now i feel this is fraudulent)
I got a return call from a lady and was promise she would send a contractor out to install. She stated " call me back on Monday" If i don't answer leave me a message an i will call you back. I made several attempts to reach her. No call back. I feel this advertising was fraudulent. I pay my monthly bill for years and i never expected Entergy would display miss trust.

Contractor for Entergy's No Cost Weatherization Program
The contractor, Free Lighting Corp., came by on June 11, and didn't do all they promised. The only thing I could tell they did was caulking around air vents. I received some light bulbs, but not all as promised. I received no shower heads as promised. He said he put up 2 carbon monoxide detectors, but only one was put up. Don't believe company is doing everything for Entergy they're charging for.

Fuel adjustment charges, storm restoration charges
It is getting out of control with all these extra charges added to the bill I can't keep up with it anymore $168.00 in charges before the actual bill of $230.00, I'm on disability that's half my check when I first moved here from the city my bill ran no more than $160.00 in the summer its been climbing higher over the past few years for no reason I installed solar year before last and brought the bill down to $68.00 it was getting so low they came out and inspected guess they thought I was stealing power but after that visit, the bill started going up again for no reason,i live in a small 2 bedroom trailer just me and my wife now here we are a $400.00 dollar bill how can I be burning more electric nothings changed it's like they tuned up my meter to make up for my savings with the solar panels were all being ripped off by this company that answers to no one and doesn't care a bit about its customers look at these reviews in here and none of them are answered by the company not even a sorry for the [censored]y underhanded things they do, the powers that be must be paid off because these fuel adjustment charges are a crime its like getting in a taxi paying your fare for the ride and then they charge you for the gas in the cab they used to drive you , i know there on the hook for that power plant in vermont that went bust there times up as of last month to clean that mess up and its gonna cost millions i hope they bankrupt entergy and they get a good taste of what their dishing out squeezing us dry to pay that $1.2 billion dollar bill someone needs to investigate these outrages light bills your shuving down are throats were paying for the fuel to generate the electricity your selling us its just criminal.

Dumping sand/gravel to fix ruts made by Entergy truck
Several months ago (5-6), Entergy contacted us and said a guide wire was needed for the utility pole servicing our house. They showed up while we were not home and installed the guide wire. This is fine, except they came after a rain and rutted up my yard really bad. After many months, numberous calls to customer service, and several work orders being created, they sent someone over to fix my yard, again while we were not there. The problem is they delivered a sand and gravel misture to fix my yard. Yes, I said sand and gravel from a gravel pit, not dirt, or top soil, from a dirt pit or local landscape store only a couple of miles from the house. I don't live at a gravel pit so why in the world would I, or anyone, want sand and gravel put in the middle of their yard? Now I have a worst problem because I have sand, and gravel, in the middle of my yard, not 20-30 feet from the house and carport. This is totally unacceptable. I need this corrected and it needs to be done as quick as possible before I have to mow and the gravel dings my vehicles or breaks the windows on my house or vehicles. I need someone, with authority, to call me so we can get this resolved. Anyone who wants a good looking lawn would not be happy with what Entergy (Bogalusa, LA) did to my lawn.
