Epson Printer - Software "Upgrade
Have an Epson XP-4105 which was working fine. Today I installed a printer software "upgrade" from Epson. Now the printer shows black cartridge not recognized error message. I use remanufactured cartridges. I suspect that the "upgrade" is actually a cartridge recognition program that prevents one installing remanufactured cartridges. Printer is off warranty. Ink used should not matter. I will throw it out and buy another brand before I submit to this unscrupulous action. To the best of my knowledge - when purchased the printer did not require Epson only supplies.
I write this to warn other Epson printer owners to not install any Epson sent upgrades if your printer is working.
Desired outcome: Send software to remove the remanufactured cartridge "block".

Dear Sir/Madam
My epson printer has a manufacturing defect with its wifi, which malfunctions every now and then. I have registered more than 10 complaints regarding the same, but no permanent solution has been offered till date.
In the past 11 months, the printer remained out of order for more than 5 months. The solution was offered on makeshift arrangements and false promises by the service centre. I am utterly dissatisfied with the services and the product. There were situations when the complaint was not attended to for more than 7 days. I was suggested by the engineer not to call the service centre in case the printer malfunctions again, which I did a few times but later I came to know that was simply to put off the radar of the company and the service centre wants to save its skin.
Apart from the issue of wifi, paper jamming has been constant, but all never reached attentive ears.
Please be informed that the latest complaint that I registered on 27 January has not been resolved.
Today, after a long period of dismay, I am writing to request that you replace this faulty product or issue me a full refund.
I hope the company of your repute would take appropriate action at the earliest and I would not be compelled to seek legal assistance.

XP4205 printer
Bought this xp4205 printer. Installed it and registered it on the same day. Installed ink and the printer had a code that the ink levels were to low for initialization. Waited till Monday morning and called customer service. Talked to the representative and she told me that I needed to go buy the ink before I could initionalize the ink for the printer. She also stated that they needed a copy of my receipt, a pic of the notice on the ink, a pic of my serial number, and a pic of the ink cartridges. I couldn"t figure this out. New printer just registered. Was very upset with her. Waited a couple of days and called back this time I asked to speak to a supervisor. After I was adamant about it I was transferred to one. He was very apolgetic about the ink and told me that he would overnight me the necessary ink cartridges. I waited 6 days now and still haven't seen it. Called and was told by the representative that there was no eta. What you don't know when it will arrive. Asked to talk to supervisor. Waited about 15 minutes and they supervisor came on, He then informed me that it was on back order and they can't tell me when it would be sent out. You mean to tell me that your warehouse is out of the ink I need. Asked to talk to his supervisor and was told it came down from corporate and it wouldn't do any good. I can't figure out why I was not notified of the back order, they had my email. I find Epson customer service slow and not very helpful. Would I buy another Epson Printer or recommend an Epson printer to friends I highly doubt it. I wouldn't complain about this problem but I don't feel like I should have to go but ink for a printer I just bought, I haven't even been able to use it yet.
Desired outcome: Would just like to be able to be reimbursed for faulty ink cartridges. Maybe send me extra to compensate for my trouble. Also better service representatives.
I still have not recieved my ink that has been promised, Called again and this time was told that the ink would be shipped out the following week. Called on Thursday and was told that it was still on backorder,
Asked to talk to someone in Corporate. Was told that they had no ink cartridges in the warehouse for my printer. And she would call me and let me know when the cartridges became available. So know it is going on two months with a printer that if i want to use i am going to have to go buy ink, Cant fiqure out why the stores carry it, the epson store has it but their warehouse is out of it. Still very dissapointed in the customer service. They need to step up and back their printers as being reliable, Bad ink cartridges in too many of their printers.
Im experiencing the same low ink issue on a newly purchased P700 photo printer. Epson needs to step up and fill the ink cartridges for new units. Ill have to spend nearly$400 to continue printing . Look at other brands and get the complete info on what youre buying. Buyers remorse at this point.

My Ecotank printer had a hardware failure and the wireless connection no longer works, the only option is to call customer support.
Did so. Unfortunately for me the third party Ink I use must be causing the hardware failure because Epson refuses to honor the warranty, which it is still under until Jan 2024.

I've had other Epson All In One Printers/copiers/scanner before, but this one is the worse. It eats up XLarge Black cartridges after only a few prints. The scanner is so difficult and complex to use I have ever experienced. Getting it to scan in PDF is so difficult I give up and use the one at work. I allow the updates every time I use it, but it doesn't improve anything. Unfortunately, it's out of warrantee or I would send it back...
Desired outcome: Replace it with one that works.

I purchased EPSON ET-2720 online from EPSON, and it has never worked properly or fully. Printing sporadically and never would scan. Spent hours on phone talking with well-meaning technical support personnel but we had to struggle to understand one another as English was clearly not their first tongue. Everyone deserves to be respected, but I deserve to be understood and helped. After repeated calls over many hours in the attempt to resolve technical problems with essential printing and scanning functions and too numerous downloads, I have had it with EPSON from here onwards. Don't know which is worst to trash it or donate it to the thrift store. Faced with the dilemma of disappointing another human being or polluting the environment. My opinion of Shaquille Oniel's endorsement takes a hit also. Realizing Shaq and Epson are too big to care about my losses I will simply tell anyone who asks "You will do better shopping for another brand."
Desired outcome: Epson makes it suitable again. The lone voice has a way of being heard, its message multiplied and amplified reaching a multitude.

Printer is only 6 months old and the unwanted invasive firmware (malware) update has fried my printer and rendered it useless. I have made three attempts to contact customer support, only to be ignored and no follow up! Fix this or I will contact local AG office with class action complaint. This is an intentional malware spread by Epson to control customer preferences... FIX THIS! REF # [protected]

I contacted Epson regarding this model due to the fact that it was not providing 2-sided copies properly. We, tech support and myself, made many attempts at diagnosing and correcting the problem to no avail. I have purchased another printer from a different manufacturer and requested a return shipping label and a refund of the purchase price. I informed the Epson representative that their printer has been ready to ship back for months.

I want to start off by saying that I loved my printer, that when it would work correctly. This is the second ET-2720 that I have received that has malfunctioned in the same way. I purchased the first printer on Sep 30 2020 and received on Oct 3 2020. Two months later the printer stopped feeding in paper correctly. The paper would go feed into the printer crooked and get jammed at the top. I contacted customer support and after over an hour trouble shooting a replacement printer was sent on Dec 16 2020. Fast forward a few years the replacement printer is having the same exact issue, only this time after an hour of trouble shooting, the tech claiming that my serial number was invalid, I was informed that I'm out of warranty and offer for me to pay a Epson tech to evaluate my printer. That's absurd. Why would you suggest I try to fix an issue that you couldn't resolve that first time I had the same problem? Now I have a $220 paper weight because my warranty expired two weeks prior the system malfunctioning. I considered Epson a top name for printers and other electronics after this experience I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

My Expression XP-1500/5 printer is still under the initial 1 year guarantee. I contacted Epson support and after re-setting it via the software emailed to me, and not being able to, the support assistant said that, with the messages coming up convinced him that my printer was indeed faulty and arranged for a courier to deliver a replacement but I was told that it would not be a new printer, it will be a refurbished one. This is not acceptable to me. I feel that I should be entitled to a new printer, not a 'second hand' refurbished one.. It is Epson's fault that the manufacturing was not up to standard and not mine, so I want a brand new printer, and the 1 years guarantee.

I hate this printer, I've lost several facebook marketplace orders because this printer runs out of ink so quickly. It does not warn you that you are getting low and so it just wont print anymore because you ran out and then tells you that you are out of ink. And if you do the first firmware update, then it will not allow you to use any ink cartridges that are not from their company. I ordered ink the end of January and it took more than a week for me to get the ink from their website. I ordered again because i went to print something for work and guess what? Out of ink again! So now the order that I placed on the 19th of this month, today is now the 22nd has not even shipped yet so I have to drive 35 miles to the nearest store that has this ink so that I can fulfill another marketplace order so that I dont lose the sale. I will switch to an HP printer as soon as I get extra cash because this one goes through ink so fast! And their service is so slow!

My Epson ET2720 Printer stopped working when it gave me an error message that read, “The ink pad needs service, contact Epson.” It further stated, “Cannot print, non-printing feature is available. Avoid tilting printer.” I contacted Epson as instructed and was told my printer was out of warranty, which I already knew, and there was nothing they could do to help me. I needed to take it to the nearest authorized Epson repair facility. They were kind enough to give me the closest locations and the phone numbers. The closest one was three hours drive away from me. I did some internet research on the problem and found the ink pad reservoir was located in the back right corner. After watching a couple of You Tube videos on the subject, I removed the reservoir and cleaned the ink pads, dried them, and returned them to the printer. It is important to note that this model printer has NO CHIP attached to the reservoir. The next step was to reset the ink pad counter to zero. That I could not do. I checked with all the local printer repair technicians and was told they would not be able to reset the ink pad counter to zero either, only qualified Epson technicians could do that. I called the two closest repair facilities and they told me to box up the printer and send it to them. Any shipping carrier would undoubtedly toss the printer box around like a volleyball during shipment, but the printer clearly said, “Do not tilt.” So what do I do? The wife of one technician told me the Epson firmware used to be available on the Epson website, but when COVID hit, Epson removed it so only qualified technicians could access it. At a huge expense of course. What Epson clearly does not understand is the amount of good will they destroyed by their actions. At this point, I am so angry and frustrated, that this printer will end up in the landfill and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER EPSON PRINTER, OR ANY OTHER EPSON PRODUCT, EVER AGAIN. I’m sure I am not the only person confronted with this dilemma. I would say Epson just shot themselves in the foot. That’s corporate greed at its finest. Way to go Epson.
WF-3720: Firmward Broke my Printer
Printer was not on wifi until tonight. Had used it with its built-in wifi. When I was offered a firmware update, I said yes thinking that all my devices should have the latest manufacturer recommended software.
Except this one broke the printer: it no longer recognizes third-party ink. Now Epson has me by the virtual throat: holding my printer hostage until I pay 2x as much for ink that won't last.
This is my first Epson printer. Naturally it will be my last.

Other than saying this printer is otterly a piece of crap it just isn't any good. I purchased it last year to use in my real estate business. Previously I was using cheaper printers that broke me buying printer cartridges. I decided to do some research online on which printers that were the most economical to purchase and this printer was on the list. Now I see why you can advertising that the ink that comes with the printer will last 2 year, I believe that part because the printer doesn't work most of the time.
I am on a wireless system the printer disconnects from the computer all the time. First I thought the computer, printer and router distances were too far away from each other to get a signal. I moved everything within 20 feet of each other, still the same thing. I go to print - message can not connect to printer. Then I have to do a ritual - turned the printer off to reboot - turn the computer off to reboot - this is everyday not just once in a while. This doesn't always either. Many times I never got it to connect so I couldn't get my printout I need to meet clients.
This is the was the worst investment I have ever made. The $400 I paid for this so called printer I could have purchased 10 smaller printers used them and tossed them.
I will never purchase anything with your name applied to it again.
Photo scanner perfection v600
We purchased this product as a Christmas gift. We also purchased a warranty. We wanted to simplify our photos, slides, film, etc related to our family. Some of these items are from our deceased parents. We then decided to purchase a laptop so we could utilize both on our kitchen table.
After attempting to load and download all items plus contacting your customer service, we have been told that we would have to remove all security off the Windows 10 and 11. With all the hacking going on in the world, this was not something we were will to do. Epson needs to catch up with times and have a more viable product where you don't have to remove programs from your computer.
Should you come up with a better product that will let us download your product safely and without program removals, please let us know.

L6170 model I purchased by paying my hard earned money Rs. 20, 000/, but your service engineers or useless, your product is use and through, not even getting buy back money, duplicate spares selling with your dealers, and so on, in single word to say - blady rubbish company product. i lost my hard earned money . local epson company no proper response, very careless reply and so on .

To whom it may concern,
I purchased the above mentioned product in December 2020, It gave me no problems until about a month ago when it started making strange noises after pressing the print button, the start button kept flashing and no print would start, the noises sound very sick, like something is wrong with the drivers. I brought it back to the store where it was purchased, they kept it for a month and gave it back to me reassuring me that it was repaired and had been put through tests and that everything was ok now. As soon as I got home, I was anxious to start using my printer again as I use it a lot for work. And guess what? The same identical problem occured!
Needless to say how disappointed I am with the product which had to go to repairs less than a year after it was purchased, very angry with the repairs which obviously weren't carried out and extremely disappointed with the product itself. No mentioning that I bought a quite expensive model for home use and was guaranteed it was an efficient product and that it would last a life time.
I would appreciate an explanation from the company and hopefully a solution to my problem, in the hope of receiving a reply.
