Ergode Steals Design from Artist Jennifer McNeil Trayler - Unacceptable!
I can't believe what I saw on Ergode's website! They have stolen my friend Jennifer McNeil Trayler's design and used it for their backpacks. It's so obvious that they didn't even try to change it up a bit. This is just plain wrong and I hope they get what's coming to them. Jennifer's work is clearly copyright protected and they have no right to use it without her permission.
I mean, seriously, how could they think they could get away with this? It's not like they can just take someone else's hard work and use it for their own profit. That's just not how things work. I hope Jennifer takes legal action against them and they lose their business over this.
If you want to see the original design that Ergode stole, you can check it out on Jennifer's Etsy page. It's called "Caballo de los Muertos" or Horse of the Dead. It's a beautiful black horse wearing a sugar skull mask with marigolds in his mane. Jennifer painted it on canvas and turned it into a print that measures 8" x 10" on lustre photographic paper. She even signs the back of each print herself.
If you're interested in purchasing the original print, you can find it on Jennifer's Etsy page. It comes in a clear sleeve with a backing board and is mailed in a Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope. Just remember, it's copyrighted by Gypsy Mare Studios and Ergode has no right to use it without Jennifer's permission.

While I was at a local Sears store, I decided to order the lamp from Ergode, one of the marketplace sellers, and pay for it at the store. The price was low, and they offered free shipping, so I thought it was a good deal. I didn't know anything about Ergode, but since they were connected to Sears, I felt confident in my decision. However, when I received the shipment, I was disappointed to find out that they had sent me a table lamp instead of the floor lamp that I had ordered. Since I needed it before Christmas, I quickly went online to the Ergode site and contacted customer service to ask for a prepaid UPS label so I could return the table lamp. I also called the customer service number listed on their site, but it took a while for someone to answer, and when they did, their voice was barely audible, and I could hardly understand them. They didn't even identify the company they were working for, so I almost hung up, thinking I had reached someone's home. I explained the problem, and they told me to send images of the product I received and that I would hear back from someone within 72 hours. I was frustrated because I received the wrong product, but I had to wait for 72 hours before I could even get to the next step.
I then emailed an online image of the lamp I ordered and the lamp I mistakenly received and asked them to send me a prepaid UPS label as soon as possible. However, I didn't hear anything the next day, so I sent another email. Still, no reply, so I decided to research the company and found the name and email of the CEO, Rupesh Sanghavi. I copied him in on further correspondence, hoping that it would light a fire under the customer service team. I also indicated that if I didn't receive a reply, I would contact the Better Business Bureau in both Richmond, TX, where Ergode is supposedly located, and La Puente, CA, where my lamp was shipped from (a company called Click2Go?). Two days later, I received a reply from three different customer service people saying that it was rare for them to make this type of mistake and asking for more time to address the problem. Finally, four days after my initial contact, I got an email saying they had authorized me to return the lamp, but they didn't say anything about sending me a prepaid label. They gave me an address to ship the table lamp: 2727 Interstate Drive in Lakeland, FL. However, there was no company name, just the address. I looked up the address and discovered it belongs to "Integrated Supply Network," an automotive supply wholesaling company! I even tried Googling "Ergode" and that address, but I found no connection whatsoever. They are asking me to send a decorative table lamp - for one's living room or bedroom - to an automotive supply wholesaler?! Are you kidding me? What an absolute freaking scam and bunch of losers.
Save yourself a huge headache and order from a reputable online retailer. Shame on Sears for aligning itself with this scam operation. I hope my experience will help others avoid the same mistake.
Ergode Books: A Scam and a Rip-Off - Beware of Drop-Shipping and Book-Jacking!
On the 4th of September, 2017, I ordered a book from Ergode Books through Abe Books. The book was listed as "used: very good" and priced at ?28.90 with the estimated delivery given as on or before 09 October, 2017. I was excited to receive my book and waited patiently for it to arrive.
However, a couple of weeks after I placed my order, I became curious about the shipment and decided to inquire about it. I sent a polite message to the vendor through Abe Books and was informed that the item was lost in the mail. Ergode Books apologized for the "postal mess" and provided me with two options: to wait 3 to 5 weeks while they procure another book or to issue a refund. I kindly refused both and requested that shipping information be provided to me in the form of either a shipping invoice or a tracking number. However, Ergode Books did not comply with my request.
In the meantime, I raised the issue with Abe Books while keeping Ergode Books informed in parallel. I made it clear that I did not wish to be issued a refund and made it clear that I had no problem waiting for Ergode Books to provide me with proof of shipping or a replacement book. However, Ergode Books then arbitrarily imposed a refund upon me because they decided that it would take too long to find a replacement book as there was nothing in their "warehouse" or non-availability from any of their "suppliers" while Abe Books supported the decision and processed the refund on Ergode Books behalf.
During this entire process, Ergode Books continued to list the book on Abe Books though in a degraded condition from "used: very good" to "used: good" with an increase of price from ?28.90 to ?117.05! When insisting that I would accept the present listed book in a degraded condition while the refund was enforced upon me, I became fully aware of the scam the Ergode Books is running.
Further investigation convinced me to file an official complaint through the Texas BBB as Ergode Books is listed in that state but ultimately it was transferred to the BBB in Victoria, B. C. Canada. Sadly, because the refund had been issued, there was no other recourse though it was obvious that this was also favourable to Abe Books.

None of these are legitimate, including Ergode Books; nor are they in any way acting in the better interest of their customers. They cannot even be placed within a reasonable level of trust regarding making the simple provision towards providing ordered items to clients in a timely and professional manner. They cannot even be considered a provider in any reasonable definition because they do not have an inventory!
In making any queries related to Ergode Books and others connected to Ami Ventures, the internet is a treasure trove in presenting negative reviews and complaints towards them and I highly suggest that you heed the warnings.

the TV I received on July 13, 2023 contained a broken screen and is unusable. I opened it on August 2, 2023 ND discovered the broken screen. I have been attempting to return it since that date. Everyone I contacted said something different and I have been given the run around at every turn.
My return code is: [protected]-0619. and it was delivered by UPS Ground to my home address. I do not know who to return it to, as I do not have a return address.

I have ordered an item from Ergode and later they contacted me and said that my item was no longer in stock. They also said that they can't cancel my order and give me a refund, so I decided to wait. Few weeks later I received another notification that my order was finally shipped but and was told that I have to pay extra $300 because the item had a new price. I told them that I'm not paying for that and the person I was talking to became very rude and nasty. After days of arguing with them I was already sick and tired so I paid the money just for them to leave me alone. Do not buy anything from this store!
