New scooter
DO NOT BUY! SCAM.
Purchased "new" scooter. Came destroyed and not working.
I clearly signed the BOL "damaged" and sent proof and notified you in under the 3 days necessary. I sent over detailed pictures and videos with a written description of damage.
I did everything owner and website says. Owner and staff hangs up on you and does not answer any direct questions.
I had to contact police
Call the local Sheriff and report the incident on phone take 5 mins or less

Trailmaster go kart - service
This has been the worst company to work with! Our go Kart stopped working one month after purchase, after getting months of run around and emails back an forth... I have a go kart that I have been paying for that does not work. I have paid $3K for a garage ornament.
If you are thinking about buying from this company don't do it! I ignored the many yelp reviews and let me just tell you I REGRET not buying from someone else.
THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST TO WORK WITH...HORRIBLE customer service. If I had the time and money I would sue for all my dollars back
Desired outcome: all I want is a working go kart, I want one zoom call to diagnose my issue with the go kart and a resolution on how to fix it. I have begged for a call, begged for a conference call so that we can figure out what is wrong.
ATV
I purchased one of their ATVs, cost 800$ plus 100$ for delivery. The product was delivered damaged. The box had a very large hole on top, and the metal overlay was heavily bent. The ATV itself had a broken off metal wire that is unfixable. I emailed several times, showing pictures of the damaged box and the broken off wire. They emailed me links on how to set up the ATV instead. I called several times, and the staff was extremely rude. They kept on saying the ATV is not damaged. Everyone was nice when it came to charging my credit card. But to get help on their damaged product, no one answers their emails. All I want is a safe ATV, and someone to help me.
I just have a question I looked them up on Google Maps and it takes you to the post office who's been to their showroom

Terrible product and Terrible customer service
I had purchased an ATV for a Christmas present , it was used for
about 10 hours and the exhaust manifold cracked and the unit is
showing signs of rust. I cannot speak to anyone in the company
,they only communicate through email . I have called and
emailed several times and they respond about a week later .This
has been going on since January 17th . Jeff Backer had asked me for
photos and a VIN # which i emailed him 3 times and I still have
not heard back from them . When I did speak to Sally in the
sales dept. she was extremely rude and she told me to send an
email again! I have a $2,500 ATV siting in my garage that is not
useable . I have never seen such poor customer service in my
life for them to avoid me over and over again after I spent
$2,500 is completely unacceptable .This company and its products are absolute garbage . Stay away from this company !
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response
4 wheel go kart
We never got our go cart, then they call and want more money for a different cart because they didn't have what we order 3 months ago. I talk to customer service and they said nothing we can do but wait and started lying and tell me to shut up. They got us for over 2000.00 and the charge us twice. We still have no go cart and no money. We need help getting our money. FBI we need you to look at this company. They are running a ponzi scam. They sell one and say they don't have it and call for more money. The kicker is the ask for our driver license to match to credit card. That has never happened in my life and I'm 57 yr old business owner.
Desired outcome: refund and I want the owner investigated for Rico . All the workers are trained to lye too.
Go kart
Family Go Karts customer service is the worse, they shipped my product to the wrong address. They explain to me that I will have to pay for shipping again to get it to the right address. this makes no sense, its their mistake they should pay for the re-shipping. I ask to speak to a manager, the lady said they have no managers and that its a family business and their are no bosses. Therefore no one could take my complaint, so sad.
Desired outcome: Pay for re-shipment
Moped

Moped
I have purchased this moped almost 2 months ago and still have not received my title that I'm able to ride the moped after speaking to them yesterday they said it could be another six weeks by the time I get my title by then the 60 day return policy would have expired I believe they do this on purpose so you're not able to test the product and return it if you don't like it these people are rude criminals.
Desired outcome: Stop false advertisement
I looked them up on Google Maps from their address it goes to a post office where's your actual showroom
AmigoBello scooter
At the end of last summer (2020) I wanted to buy a motor scooter. I contacted FamilyGoKarts and was told that they wouldn't be able to deliver it before the fall so I decided instead to go on a layaway plan. I made an initial down payment on 9/20/2020. On Feb 17, I made the last payment and contacted them to let them know that I would be out of the state for a couple of weeks and I would contact them when I returned to receive the scooter.
On my return when I contacted them I was told the the scooter I wanted (ordered 9/20) was not in stock and I could pick from a list of other colors. Ok, so I chose a matte black scooter. The scooter I ended up receiving was black, not matte or what I had actually ordered burgundy.
After a few day with 50 miles on the scooter, the electric starter quit working. In addition the right hand accelerator grip became loose and almost came off in my hand while I was driving.
I contacted the service department on 5/27 and was given a request #74195. Jeff Backer (support) contacted me the next day and asked that I send a short video.
On May 29 I sent a video explaining the issue and asked them for advice as to how to solve the issue. I told them that I had no problem working on it myself.
On June 1, I sent another email asking whether they had had a chance to review my video
On June 4, I sent another email asking for help
On June 7, I called and asked to speak with Jeff (the service contact). Jeff wasn't there so I asked to speak with the owner or a manager. When I spoke with the manager, he told me I would hear something that day.
On June 9, another email
On June 12, I received an email from Jeff asking whether the run switch was on (which I had explained in the video I had sent) and a link to a short video (from some unrelated scooter) about how to bypass the starter switch to trouble shoot the issue. NOTE: I clearly stated in the video that I had the switch ON and that I was doing everything properly to start the scooter. He also mentioned that I should find the "set screw" on the accelerator grip and tighten it. NOTE 2: there is no set screw on the accelerator grip. There are two screws that hold the accelerator grip on. There is a hole in the unit and a hole in the handle bar which perhaps indicate that there "SHOULD" be a set screw but there is no such thing.
I did try to tighten the accelerator to no avail and then thought I would loosen it and see perhaps I could think of a way to secure it. In so doing the accelerator grip which is plastic, broke.
On June 14, I sent another video showing the broken accelerator grip and asked where the solenoid is on this particular scooter as I have no intention of taking apart this brand new scooter to find it. I also said I would pay for a new accelerator grip handle if need be but that I would like to receive it soon, and I would like to resolve these issues, and if not I would like to return the scooter.
On June 16, I sent another email asking for assistance.
On June 17 I filed a complaint with the attorney general of Minn, and BBB
Desired outcome: Repair, help me to repair, Refund
Rider 9
I purchased this product on January 23rd. I still haven't received it yet! When I purchased I was told it was in stock so I would not have to wait on shipping times. A month later they were wrong it wasn't in stock and I'm still waiting. I contacted them again and they said they have no control on the ports so can not give me an update. I explained to them that most companies are aware when their ships come to port. They still had no answer for me. I contacted them at the end of March because still no product they told me it would be 3 weeks. Guess what?! Still not here after waiting 4 weeks! Still trying to contact them again but getting told I can only contact through emails and not actually talk with someone! What crap!
Vittaci scooter 150cc/157QMJ
I purchased an extended warranty covering my scooter for one year. My my motor has a hole directly in the cylinder head. I have am getting water in the backflow tube that was designed to catch excess oil from the motor and should never have water. I submitted a support ticket 2/3/2021 with highly visible pictures and detailed description of the problem. I even used my phone to edit the pictures by drawing a highlighted circle around the hole. I received an email back wanting more pictures with better lighting on 2/4/202 which I complied and sent in twice as many pictures with twice as much detail again all highlighted with circles. I have already dealt with this company on a previous complaint regarding missing bolts and gaskets where I was told to buy my own at the hardware store and I have learned is it that they play stall tactics and we'll do anything to get out of honoring the warranty that they sold me and they're doing the same thing again with this complaint and as of right now February 17th I haven't heard a response back and I use my scooter for a daily driver and it is suffering major engine failure because of the whole and the water and the black flow backflow tube.
Desired outcome: I am requesting a full motor replacement be shipped out to me and urgently as this is my daily driver and I've paid for much better service the hole and water water having gotten to the inside of the motor it's the only possible outcome.
Brand new atv leaks oil
I have been dealing with Family Go Karts for 2 weeks now about a broken bumper and the motor is leaking oil. I have sent several emails asking for someone to call me. Yet no one does. When I call them and ask to speak with someone. They say there's no one Is available. When I ask for a phone number to call a supervisor directly. They say they don't have one. For the past week I have gone back and forth with them over email. They keep saying the same thing. " You need to find the oil leak and point it out to us in a picture". I have explained many times I am not a mechanic and can not pin point we're the oil is coming from. This is a brand new atv with 7 hours on the motor.
Purchase 2 quads
I bought 2 quads for my daughters in December 19 for Christmas. They arrived missing bolts left me scrambling a day before Christmas so I could get them assembled. They sent out more bolts after a few calls and emails a few weeks later. Less than a month after purchase one of the quads motor froze up. It ended up having a failure with the piston and valves. I have called and sent pictures, video and a list from a certified mechanic about what was wrong with it. Here we are 7 months later and they will not return my call or emails or send me the parts to fix the quad. There customer service and tech department are rude when you do get them on the phone to just blow you off anyways even before Covid which they are using to their benefit. They have made no attempt to fix this and I even bought their extended warranty x2 at $100 ea. Picture of proof of purchase.
Customer service, warranty, discrimination, untrustworthy
I purchased two go karts from family go karts within 3 months. The first one started; the second never started. I purchased the extra premium support package. For three weeks I called, emailed, submitted support tickets, left messages, and was never allowed to speak to anyone, nor were any of my daily calls returned. So here I set with a branch new go kart and absolutely no customer support. I purchased from them because they advertise they are a 30 year family owned christian business. Ha ha ha. What a joke that is. There should be a law against anyone being able to dupe the unsuspecting public the way this bunch is. It is disgraceful and shameful.
Brand new go kart does not run
The owners of family go karts are crooks. They took advantage of my older parents who bought a go kart for their grand kids. They needed some support with a newly delivered go kart that they couldnt get started. They called and emailed for 3 weeks and they would not even call them back. My parents had to pay for someone to come out and fix their brand new $2, 000 go kart that they could not start from day 1. Its a shame. All they had to do was call them back and walk them through the process of fixing it.
Do not buy from them. Once they make the sale, they split.
Scooter 150 il bello
The scooter arrived damaged in the truck with a big hole in the packaging. I asked the driver if I could reject it and he said yes, however he called in to FamilyGoKarts and establish a delivery claim and wrote with his hand on my delivery receipt that damage was evident.
FamilyGoKarts told me to not refuse the delivery that they would make it good and ask me to take pictures of the scooter which I did and included the delivery hand receipts with drivers stating damage and sent to them.
They in turn have not done anything since Dec 16 2019 but harras me to return the item before replacing the purchased scooter. However the scooter is still in my posession due to their force request for me to keep it, and do not reject(this appears to be their agenda, to force customers to accept damaged goods).
The finance company Bread is not willing to reverse the charges paid to FamilyGoKarts and thus I believe they go hand in hand with their false advertisement of goods as new and their policies that the customer must do what FamilyGoKarts says. I already been forced to accept a damage purchase scooter so I am not going to be returning the scooter to familygokarts until a replacement is sent(and it better be new and undamanged), nor will I make a payment to Bread.
Go kart
So disappointed. We purchased a go kart for a Christmas gift and it broke the first time riding it. Customer service is rude, and lacks integrity. They should be ashamed of themselves ripping off people. I still do not have my go cart replaced.
I purchased it 12/06/2019. I have all the emails and transcribed voicemails that clearly show the state of this companies customer service. Horrible I recommend everyone file a complaint with the states attorney generals office. Here is a link.

New go kart
I am completely disappointed with the damage on our new GoKart. I had to follow up more than once on delivery. I was told not to refuse the shipment if it looked damaged. It wasn't until my husband starting putting it together (without instructions I might add) that we noticed how scratched it is. Not to mention it has a hole in the seat! I'm gifting my son a GoKart that looks used for Christmas. Fantastic!

Vitacci t rex go kart
We purchased a vitacci t rex go kart for our 2 grandsons for christmas. It arrived on time, but it takes forever for it to get enough speed to go. My son is a mechanic so he submitted a ticket with family go karts requesting a manual in english. We were told there is none. We have had no response for 2 days from technical support. My husband sent an email to the owner 2 days ago (they will not let you speak with him) and no response. My husband called again today and go the most rude person that began being rude as soon as she answered the phone. He found another number on youtube for technical support and spoke with a different woman. He explained this was for our grandson's christmas present and he didn't want to give them a present that didn't work. She said she tells her sons that "sometimes life just sucks". My husband said we just want to speak to a technician for one minute. She told him they work on problems during the day and process trouble tickets at night on their own time. What type of company is this?
Missing parts, unauthorized charges, awful service
We ordered 2 ATV's for our sons birthdays. To start, shipping was a nightmare but it wasn't 100% their fault. However, once ATV's were received & finished putting together we noticed nuts, bolts, washer etc... was missing for one of the back tires making it inoperable for my 5 yr old to ride. I called company who refused to discuss anything over the phone & said I had to fill out a request form before anything was done. Then I noticed we did not get the oil, lube & filters for either of our items. Called comp again & was told to fill out request form. Today I found an extra charge of $139 on my account from the comp. Called again, guess what? I was told to "fill out a request form". I very nicely told Andrea that this was the 3rd form in 2 wks & NOBODY has resolved anything. Andrea was defensive from the moment she answered the phone. She did find that the oil & items were sent to an address other than where the ATV's were sent & that if I wanted to get them I would have to "figure it out my self as it's not her problem". Verbatim. I finally asked why she was being so rude to me as I was the one missing items & money but I was not being rude & she, verbatim stated "I am talking to you like I talk to my ex husband, I do it because I can." So here I am, missing parts for the ATV, no oil, filters, lube & $139 missing from my checking account. If I could send this $2000 ATV back I would! Stay away from this company.

I had the same issue last year in Sept of 2022. Jeff Backer, is a scam artist. And him as a state rep, is protected in this liberal utopia of Minnesota. He's also was the mayor of that city and the police there won't charge him with fraud. The state of MN has reached back out to me this year for more Info and my financial documents. I'm hoping they are planning to go after him! He's a crook and a jerk. My local police department was about to charge him with fraud then he paid back my money finally. He got lucky that time.
