Do not walk away . . . RUN from this company.
The Good:
Bike arrived clean & safe.
Everything else:
Signed a contract to pick up a bike in Florida & deliver it to California. This company cost more than other alternatives, but their trucks looked super professional, and I wanted to make sure this bike was safe.
They gave a 20-day window for pickup, and 10-day window for delivery. I was told I would get an e-mail with a rough estimate for pickup, and a phone call the day before pickup.
19 days later, I had heard nothing. I called for an update. Lady was very discourteous. When I said "tomorrow is the deadline for pickup" she snapped "ITS ONLY AN ESTIMATE, SIR!" I replied that its the LAST DAY of a 3-week window . . . and nobody had contacted me at all. She said I would be contacted when the pickup route was planned. I said "Wait . . . you haven't even scheduled a driver to go to Florida!?!?!?!" Answer: "No." Me: "When were you going to let me know you weren't going to pick up the bike by the deadline?" Answer: "I ALREADY TOLD YOU - THE 20-DAYS IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!"
Bike wasn't picked up for another 5 days.
9 days later . . . I hadn't heard anything AGAIN. So, I called.
Rude Lady #2: "THE 10-DAYS IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!"
Me: "Well . . . then how late will you be THIS time?"
Her: "We aren't late! ITS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!"
Me: "Where is my bike."
Her: "We're expecting it any day."
Me: "To my house? When were you going to call to schedule delivery?"
Her: "No . . . delivery to our main Hub."
Me: "Where is that?"
Her: "(somewhere in the midwest). Then we'll find a truck to take it to our other hub in Vegas. Then we'll find a driver to take it to you."
Me: " . . . and you don't think you're running late?"
Her: "ITS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!"
Me: (click)
About a week later, I get an email that the bike will be delivered in the next 2 days. Of course, it was the second day.
The driver calls my wife, who works from home, that morning to say he'll be there "between 11am-4pm." She says "Great. I'm available that whole time, except I have a conference call at noon, for 1/2 hour, that I won't be able to get away from."
Driver calls at 11:30am, to say he'll be there . . . at noon."
Wife reminds him that noon - 12:30 is literally the ONLY 1/2 hour she's not available.
Driver responds: "Well, if you don't answer the door, I'll just leave, and you'll be in violation of your contract."
Luckily the driver, with an entire face full of tattoos, showed up at 11:45am, and my wife was able to take delivery before her call.
Recommendation: ANY other shipper would be prefferable.

False advertising for shipping motorcycles - direct ship - not hassle free
I bought a motorcycle from a dealership on 7/26/24. This bike is/will be a primary means of transportation. I hired Haul Bikes (HB) & signed their agreement on 8/2, to ship my bike from Fort Collins CO, to Phx, AZ. # P272639 for $532. Haul Bikes website claims their service as 'Direct Haul', 'Saves Time', 'Removes the Hassle' and 'Makes it easy' to get my...

Contracted your company 2 months ago. After 3 pickup dates changes and being told the bike was picked up (it was still in the garage) it was finally picked up from California over 2 weeks ago to transport to Denver. I asked recently where the bike was, no response as of today. I have to say Hollywood J might have had the exception or family.
I have to agree with Bradley C, (on BBB site) ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!
False promises, lies on commitments, and now no communication on where the damn bike is.
All beware, BBB needs to investigate.
Desired outcome: Updates along with bike delivery asap.
Have not received my motorcycle delivery from Haul Bikes over 26 days
Date of Transaction: September 23, 2022 Amount I paid $866.00 Haul Bikes said in writing that they would have my motorcycle delivered to me on or around October 20, 2022 as of today I still have not received my motorcycle and they still have not scheduled a delivery date and time. Haul Bikes keeps giving me the run around. On October 17th they said it would be delivered between October 24-26th I then called on October 26th and Haul Bikes said it would be delivered on October 31st then I was told that my motorcycle would be delivered between November 14th-16th. I emailed them at 7:22am Arizona Time on November 14th reconfirming with Haul Bikes my delivery date and not response. Still have not received my motorcycle. Still waiting for delivery date & time. Haul Bikes have had my motorcycle for over 26 days.
Desired outcome: Order number # P233176..The delivery of my motorcycle and refund for my money paid.

HaulBikes
This is consistent with all of the other posts here. HaulBikes takes your money and gives an "estimated" pickup date which seems reasonable. After they miss the date you call them and they rudely tell you they've changed the dates and that the dates they provide "are only estimates and they will pick up the bike AT THEIR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE". They don't care about you sicne they've already gotten your money and won't refund it so you're pretty much screwed.
If they don't value you as a customer I have not doubt that they value you motorcycle even less.
WORD OF ADVICE (WHICH I DID HAVE IN TIME) - DO NOT USE HAULBIKES FOR ANYTHING. I HAVE NOT DOUBT THAT YOU'LL REGRET IT IF YOU DO.
Motorcycle shipping
HaulBikes estimated they would pick up my bike as early as Aug 3rd and deliver by August 27th from Asheville North Carolina to Kentucky. But over a month later they had only succeeded in getting my bike to Milwaukee Wisconsin to their warehouse. Aside from being further away from me than where the bike started they had no update on when they might be able to deliver. On September 21st another company that I had to contract was able to pick up my bike from HaulBikes' warehouse but until that time HaulBikes never had an update on whether or when they could deliver. They have offered me their standard refund of $145 which is little compared to the $779 that I paid for delivery. They say they don't offer full refunds for late deliveries and that they offer estimates and not guarantees. Neither of these things are legitimate to me because they never had a plan to deliver and were far outside their estimate which apparently has no basis. Their conduct is hard to differentiate from a scam because they can promise to deliver any number of bikes beyond their actual operating capacity and when they fail to do so they still keep most of the money
Desired outcome: A full refund
Motorcycle delivery
I contracted HaulBikes to transport my motorcycle from Austin, Texas to Statesville, NC.
The bike was picked up on time by the September 2nd date and I was told they’d have it delivered to Statesville, NC by September 26th.
I called during the week of September 19th to make sure the delivery was still on time and was told they’d changed the delivery to October 4th. We had another trip planned for the week of October 10th.
I called again today (September 27th) and I’m now getting a delivery date of October 15th-October 17th.
I inquired about a refund or reduction in price since they weren’t able to deliver according to the contract but was met with no sympathy or help regarding the price.
I have used HaulBikes before with no issues but would consider another mode of delivery next time.
Desired outcome: Refund or reduction in contracted price
Not picked up in time they said--- delayed without contacting me.
My bike was in Suburban Motors for 3 months-- I called to get it shipped and Suburban found another issue so it was delayed-- when it was done, I called and was told it would be picked up the next day... now I find it hasn't even been picked up and now delivery is AFTER the holiday. This kind of lackadaisical follow through is an unacceptable practice when you've waited this long already. I certainly am not expecting excuses because someone didn't put notes in my order. I expected to be notified, I expected to have it picked up when it was supposed to be.
Desired outcome: Get my bike here asap. NOT when it's convenient for you ONLY.
Shipment
The order to move my trike from the vendor in Minnesota to me in Arizona was submitted on 25 April. I finally received it on 27 June. At least 6 times during this period I received emails moving the date of pickup and delivery. I had cancelled plans to keep the pickup dates open just in case they did show up. Notifications by email would show up too close to the date for me to reschedule plans for events.
Two months of lame excuses is unacceptable.
I kept all the communications as proof.
Desired outcome: Getting the word out about the terrible service provided by this company.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY!
My Story: order P225652 was paid for and submitted on 4/25/22. Bike was to be picked up in PA and shipped to AL. My seller had to travel back from Canada to be there for the pick-up. Needless to say, they were late a couple of times and inconvenienced him greatly. Luckily, he was a patient person and didn't sell it out from under me. At this point I should explain that they have never once called me or contacted me in any way with any kind of updates. I have to call in and be on hold forever to find out anything... Their website clearly states that shipments should complete in 21-28 days after contract signing...That is the biggest bunch of bull crap ever. As I sit here typing this, it is 6/30/22 and I still don't have my bike...I just spoke with "Ruth" who just told me that my next delivery window begins on 7/13/22... I will soon begin the process of talking with the proper authorities and reporting my bike stolen. SAVE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY AND AVOID THE STRESS. TAKE SOME VACATION AND GO GET YOUR BIKE YOURSELF. AVOID THESE CROOKS AT ALL COSTS.
Desired outcome: Receive my bike (undamaged).Get a full refund.Make sure no one else falls victim to these crooks.
Delivery of Bike
Bike was dropped off at terminal was told would get delivery sooner that way. Bike sat there for weeks then finally left and now has been sitting at Ocala terminal since the 25th. Bike originally was promised on or before 5/28. Today is 5/31 and it is still sitting and no eta on delivery. Updates and delivery etas need to get some changes.
Desired outcome: Deliver my bike please!
Motorcycle shipping
March of 2021, I signed up with HaulBike (Daily Direct) to ship from the Phoenix area back to Northeast Wisconsin. Like many others here, I was leery of the "estimates" of pickup and deliver window times. But, I signed up anyway. For pickup, there was a 10 day window and they came on the 10th day. I guess I was luckier than some. However, the 24 day delivery window HaulBike completely missed. It was 45 days, and several emails and calls, before HaulBike delivered my motorcycle. After I said an apology was not enough, they took 10% of my bill. Not repayment for the hassle, but it was something.
I also had an issue with their delivery. The battery was dead and they made no apparent effort to charge it. The bike is a Goldwing that draws small amounts of power, so it would have been fine for 24 days, but not 45.
This complaint is filed here just so others can find it and know HaulBikes has been getting complaints, like mine, for more than a decade.
Desired outcome: Me and HaulBike came to a mutual resolution.
Long pick up and even longer refunds
Was quoted that the bike would be picked up January 21-January 30 and delivered February 13. It is now February 7 and the bike has still not been picked up. I called and the woman I spoke with told me that most likely they would be able to pick it up next week sometime. I said that I would just rather cancel the order and find someone else to ship the bike. Quoted 60 days until I received a refund.
I just got another quote to ship my bike and they guaranteed that it will be picked up this Friday and will not charge me until it is loaded.
Would not recommend doing business with this company. They are very eager to collect your money and not your bike.
Desired outcome: Expedited refund
Couldn't follow directions. After I cancelled the pickup, they told me 45 days to get a refund.
During my initial conversations with HaulBikes, I explained that the mechanic who had my bike would need advanced notice of the pickup date. I also called again to clarify this. When I received an email from the driver saying he was picking up the bike the next day, I called HaulBikes again, and said we needed an extra day of notice. When I called and spoke to the driver, he said "oh, we never talk to corporate, they give us a pickup location, and we schedule our own dates." I then called HaulBikes and cancelled the pickup on August 5th. I was told it would take a minimum of 45 days to get a refund. As of today, it's 45 days, and still no refund. I also called Haulbike several times after August 5th, trying to talk to or get a return phone call from the owner/president/whatever, and never heard from anyone. Obviously the goal is to hold on to the money as long as they can.
Desired outcome: I want my refund, plus interest, plus an apology
Haul Bikes Order #P205131
Ordered a pickup/delivery of a very rare Honda CBX on 4/27/2021, was told 2 weeks maximum to pick up, and paid via CC. Pick-up took over 4 weeks and seller was livid, as he could not use the space in his shop as the bike sat and waited. Once pick-up happened I was told delivery window of 6-24 thru 6-26. Changed vacation plans to accommodate this. Delivery window came and went with ZERO communication from Haul Bikes. Called Haul Bikes the following Monday and got a verbal shoulder shrug. Bike arrived damaged and missing the key to the fuel cap mid-July. Called Haul Bikes repeatedly (they NEVER reached out to me), and after numerous requests to speak to the owner, Jeff Lloyd, I finally spoke to Josh Riewe, who apologized, told me to get a quote for repairs, and than he was refunding me $250 on the $699 fee for the shipment. No refund has ever been issued, no insurance claim money has ever been issued, and Josh Riewe doesn't respond to my numerous e-mails on this fiasco. I've called asking for Josh or Mr. Lloyd, and they are never available.
Desired outcome: FOLLOW THROUGH with what you say you will do. Be transparent and honest, not just apologetic.
Pick up/delivery of 2014 ebr1190rx
I attained Haul Bikes services on Aug 14th 2021. Order# P212162 (2014 EBR1190RX), was scheduled for pick up between 14-24th of Aug, from "Big Boyz Toys" in Marlboro NY, to then be dropped off in Fayetteville NC by 7 Sept. By the 20th of August my order hadn't even been scheduled on their end. "Ruth", (secretary i assume), escalated the order. By the 24th not only was my order not scheduled, they hadn't even addressed the "escalation". I canceled my order and was informed my money would be refunded in 45 working days. No management was available. Nobody with any working knowledge was available to help.
Desired outcome: My money back as quickly as they received it.
Lack of service
I contacted HaulBikes over a month ago and was told that the trike we'd purchased would be picked up probably in one week, but possibly two; and would be delivered to us within another 1-2 weeks. Of course, they said, these dates were approximate & could not be guaranteed. It has now been over a month since we signed & paid our contract, and the trike not only hasn't been picked up, but their rep couldn't even give us a date when it would be. The seller, a Chevrolet dealer in south Florida, wants it removed and is threatening to park this $50, 000 trike outside in an unsecured lot, in the weather, with their other sold vehicles. HaulBikes is a scam and their service is unacceptable. Calling their customer service dept is another bad experience; you wait online forever. We subsequently have found another shipper to pick up & deliver our trike.
Desired outcome: Warn other potential customers, demand a refund
Motorcycle Shipment
I dropped my motorcycles off (2014 Goldwing and 2008 Ultra) at Bayside Harley in Norfolk VA on May 26, 2021. Haul Bikes didn't pick them up until June 11, 2021. They brought them to a transfer station in Pennsylvania where they sat for a couple of weeks. Then Haul Bikes trucked them to Las Vegas where they sat for 3 weeks. I received both bikes on 7/20/21. Haul Bikes told me they would deliver them by 6/23/21...so they were a month late. Haul Bikes never gave me unsolicited updates. In order to get status on my bikes i literally spent hours on the phone waiting on hold for some at Haul Bikes to answer. The truck driver (John) was very good and i could tell he knew how to handle bikes. Once he had the bikes my communication went directly to him. We spoke 2 or 3 times while he was on his way and he was on time. Although John (truck driver) was very good...i will probably never use Haul Bikes again unless they contact me and offer some kind of incentive to make up for delivering my bikes so late with absolutely NO communication as to why they were so late.
Desired outcome: Some sort of incentive/compensation for being one month late to deliver with absolutely NO updates as to why they were so late. To be clear, i did get updates because i would call Haul Bikes and wait on hold, sometimes up to an hour.

U-Haul is far BETTER!
I hired Haul Bikes to deliver my motorcycle from El Paso TX to Syracuse UT and was billed $800+. The bike was picked up on 4 Mar 2021 from TX and I was promptly emailed stating that the estimated delivery would be 1 Apr at the latest. 3 May and my bike was still sitting in OK City. I made several phone calls all with promises of "I will personally get in touch with dispatch" and "I will call you back" and I never received a call back. I have contacted their customer service and spoke with a Matt who has told me the same thing. Yes I am aware that the ETA stands for; however, there has to be some accountability. If you are tapped for drivers due to COVID and or injury, then quote your realistic time frame, so I can make an educated decision. I did my research and found the contact for the Owner Jeff Lloyd of Wisconsin and began to communicate to him, it was this or try to go get the bike myself. 3 May, I heard back from the owner. Upon our initial conversation I thought wow, this guy really feels bad and is owning the companies wrong doings. Lloyd assured me he was aware of similar situations and was beside himself, he agreed it was unprofessional and needed correcting. He told me I didn't need to contact anyone else he and he alone would handle my case, even if he had to contract another company to deliver my bike. Oh and he threw in that he would be giving me a full refund. By 6 May I had a new ETA of 18-20 May. Lloyd concluded our May 6th texts with "Hey Scott as soon as the bike is delivered I will call you and we will go over the refund so it does not get caught up in the system sir." Well, my bike was finally delivered 20 May. The driver was very friendly and confirmed that they were hard up for drivers, but as the paying customer, this was not my concern. Magically the packing slip for my bike was missing, and there was no check sheet for me to go over as far as scratch and dent. I did however walk around making notes of every detail. Scratches on the gas tank and a dent in the fender all noted among other small details.
Through the rest of May and all of June I continued to try to get video and records from Jeff Lloyd, to no avail.. Several phone calls and texts to back them up, and still nothing. I called the office of Haul bikes again, and the front office person was able to email me the videos on file while I was still on the phone, on 12 July. I am still waiting on my refund as well, and apparently that has been in the mail for a few weeks. No word From Lloyd. Jeff Lloyd and Daily Direct Haul Bikes have zero integrity zero honor and zero creditability. There are far better businesses out there to move your Motorcycle like U-Haul.
Desired outcome: Refund
Unacceptable time to deliver and non-existent customer service
HaulBikes had no problem taking my money 10 weeks ago (4/9/21) and I still don't have my bike. It was finally picked up 7 weeks after it was ready on 4/16/21. It's now been 2 weeks since it was picked up on 6/4/21 and I've not heard anything regarding delivery. It's been just over 2 months of prime riding season that I have missed due to these delays.
I've called and waited on hold for hours and no one ever picked up. I left my number for a call back and have not received any call. I've emailed and received no response.
Desired outcome: Deliver my bike NOW!
Failed Delivery
Onyx bike #P206940 Been sitting in storage 18 days Nevada warehouse delivery date was Yesterday waited all day and night bike never came driver never called . The bike should have been left with Onyx Motor Bike until Haul Bikes got its priorities straight this is unacceptable .The storage time will void the warranty on the battery. If the bike can not be delivered in a week from today I am requesting a Full Refund
Desired outcome: will wait one more week before charge back and dispute
