FareGeek Flight refunds

STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER! Ticket ID: 387510

I requested in May a refund... still waiting. I was then told the payment will be made to my card; however I think the one I may have paid with is no longer in use; i refuse to provide my CSV (if required) in writing all other details provided and to have asked someone call me. Should they require this CSV to make the refund. And still no one has come back to me.

I have been trying to call and everytime their wait times are ridiculous. As I type I am not sitting on hold for 20 mins so far its 8.30am!

I am entitled to a refund.

Desired outcome: My Money Back

FareGeek scammers

I don't know what I was thinking when I was booking tickets through them. I could have used a more reliable service with a укаусе reputation, but for some reason, I chose this crappy one. Well, it will be a very expensive lesson.
The problem is that I bought a ticket that cost me 564 dollars, but they charged $786. No additional fees were mentioned.
I immediately contacted them and was said that while I was booking the prices got higher and they charged me the actual cost. No, it doesn't work that way. It's illegal to do. And it's called a scam.

FareGeek my refund

I am still waiting for my refund to be put back into my account. This has been on going since October 2017. I was sent an email confirming my refund would be processed on the 28th November but my refund has still not reached my account. Please can someone advise me on [protected]
This company has been a nightmare! I need my money urgently! Regards miss Brown.

FareGeek Useless customer service

I booked some tickets via FareGeek. When I made my reservation they asked the details of my credit and my drivers license. That was strange, because never before no company asked me that, but still I did as they said. I contacted customer service by phone and asked if everything was alright with my booking. Their rep said that everything was fine. In the result we arrived to the airport, and were told that our tickets were just booked but no sold! I immediately contacted them, explained the situation, and they placed me on hold for 45 minutes! I really hate this company!

FareGeek Unhappy customer

I booked a ticket through FareGeek back in October, but due to some circumstances I had to cancel my reservation. It is now January and I am still waiting on a refund for a flight cancellation. It's been more than 3 months now and still nothing. I have been waiting patiently, but I cannot wait any longer! I am very disappointed and had to get my bank involved. Three months ago I received an email from FareGeek and was told that my booking was successfully canceled and that I would receive my refund within few weeks. I am really upset. I tried to contact them, sent them numerous messages but there was no reply. I will never use their service again! Customer service is very poor, they completely ignore me.

FAREGEEK IS USELESS. YOU AY FOR ONE THING AND SOMEHOW END UP GETTING ANOTHER. And their response is always "maam you have to contact the airline directly' after explicitly confirming something in an email. I thought their existence was to bridge the gap between customers and the airline?

FareGeek Unhappy customer

I have booked a flight on November 15, 2015 but then I decided to cancel it and book another flight. I contacted the customer support and the travel agent said that it is possible, but they would charge additional $150 from me. I didn't want to pay some extra money for who knows what, so I completely cancelled my flight and demanded a refund. Few weeks ago I sent them a message asking where my refund was. But they told me "the airline have already refunded to you, please check your bank statement." Well, I did not receive the refund on my bank account and I'm pretty sure about that. I asked them to send me the cancellation number of my first flight, but there was no respond. Since that time I heard nothing from them. I'll never use this website again!

FareGeek Flight cancellation

To faregeek and anyone that tries to purchase flights with them. I am still waiting on a refund for a flight cancelation that was issued back in October (the 22). It's been 2 months and have been waiting patiently and nothing! Now, I am really upset and had to get my bank involved- and have yet to receive my refund. My email I received from faregeek states my booking was canceled and that I would receive my refund within 2 months- it's December 23 today and I haven't received anything. I am really disappointment especially because it's christimas time, you would think cooperations that make so much money would be considerate and have excellent customer service. I WILL NEVER purchase a flight through them ever again! Nor will I suggest or refer anyone to them. I have called numerous of times and everyone I spoke to does not have a answer. Very disappointed! a very unsatisfied customer, Valeria

FareGeek Fraud

We purchased a ticket in May for aermexico, We changed the ticket due to not having the passport in time and were told that we were going to get a credit on a ticket. The ticket was changed, they are saying we cancelled it. So they charged us twice for the same ticket when we clearly changed the ticket, it has the same reservation number. Same guy from India who does not talk. This occurred in June 2015.

FareGeek Scam

Worst experience ever! Buyer be aware, we purchased 4 tickets to travel to Colombia and due to medical reasons were no able to do so. We purchased the tickets in April for traveling in July, less than two weeks after booking we had the medical issue and contacted Faregeek to cancel the travel arrangements. They charged us almost $300.00 dollars and we still have not received the reimbursement it is close to $2, 000.00 and we have called every day since May and they hung up on us, or just leave us on hold and never come back to the phone. Spoke to Cameron, Thomas, Neal, Alec, ALden (I believe those are fictitious names) and it seems like it is the same guy making different voices all of them with a very heavy accent. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT!

FareGeek Ticketing

I am a fair balanced consumer that rarely makes complaints but based on my experience with faregeek.com, I had to share so others don't get screwed as bad I did. I booked a flight with them two weeks ago then I get an email stating that the my tickets were cancelled. I called the airline and they told me that the tickets were never purchased and faregeek.com just put a hold request for the tickets but never completed the transaction. So I then called faregeek.com and after one hour on the phone, they said the airline rejected the booking because they didn't like the price. Right now prices were up $200 higher than two weeks ago. I called the airline back, but there was nothing they could do because faregeek didn't actually follow through. You'd expect that when you buy tickets, you'd get them. I have never seen such an unfair and illegal way of operating a business as faregeek.com. They take your credit card and make you think you have tickets and then never actually contact the airline to get the tickets. STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IF YOU ACTUALLY GOT TICKETS UNTIL ITS TOO LATE!

FareGeek Don't make any deal with them

I looked for a cheap ticket for me and my brother at first even though I booked them they took the money only for one when I called they said there's nothing to do, I have to get a new ticket. Because they already processed the first one we agreed to get the second one even with the second price and so on the problems started. They are very rude, unprofessional and they just want to make money no matter what. I'm so sorry I didn't read the reviews before I booked the tickets, don't do the same mistake. If you want to lose money, time and you need someone to piss you off they are the right people, for sure they are not able to provide you a good quality services. They are just some liars, you ask for the manager the person's sa is she's the one but after that you find out that's not true. The managers are never available and when finally are they just promise things and fool you around. I REGRET I EVER HAD SOMETHING to do with this people. This can't be possible.

FareGeek Not a real company.

To be fair... This 'company' saved me money and actually put me on the plane. However, the 48 hours I had to deal with them were among the most stressful in my life.

Zero ticket receipt. An authorisation form for my credit card required despite already filling in the details. Nobody answering the phones or returning voicemails, Awful e-mail communication. Terrible spelling. No apology. Not fulfilling their promises on call backs etc.

Finally had to call American Airlines and to my surprise, I was on the flight. Didn't enjoy a second of the experience though. Definitely two people in India juggling too many balls. Very disappointed in Sky Scanner deeming these credible enough to be an affiliate.

FareGeek Uncooperative

DO NO USE FAREGEEKS: We purchased roundtrip tickets to Austria and everything went smoothly until we had to change them because my son was transferred stateside with the military and would not be in Europe. The airlines provided us a phone number that WORKED and it is through TRANSAM TRAVEL(part of FAREGEEK). Well we talked to an
ARROGANT FELLOW FROM INDIA and he said we could change the tickets but it would be $350 each to change plus the new tickets $2800 each plus no refund on our old tickets of $2600 so total for 2 new tickets would be about $5, 000 each!
He thought we should be happy because he could do this. I think he only checked the highest fees. The airlines were agreeable about just changing with fee difference and the rebooking fee we would have to pay FAREGEEK but needed Faregeek to okay this WHICH THEY WON'T. So we are staying with original tickets and visiting Austria as an anniversary gift to ourselves.

FareGeek BEWARE

CUSTOMER BEWARE!
FareGeek is forever on my black list! Customers like myself have long memories. I am surprised companies still do not understand that. Also, I have made a complaint to Tripadvisor for promoting FareGeek on their site. Still have not received a response from them so they are also blacklisted until they respond.

Booked a ticket Montreal-Stockholm on May 25. Paid (I thought) and received confirmation. A week later, 2 days before my departure, I receive an email from FareGeek saying my ticket has been cancelled. WTF?
I immediately call the phone number on their website, in India, and speak to someone who claims that they have tried both to call me and email me to inform me that something is wrong with my credit card. This is an utter lie since I have caller id. The person on the phone then admits they have not tried to call me. She still claims they have emailed me but when I ask for the email to be sent to me again, with a time stamp, she hangs up. I call back twice and finally someone sends me an email, claiming that it is the one they sent to me. I demanded they send me proof of delivery status but have not heard anything back.

Called my credit card company which said there is nothing wrong with my card, account you name it. They also said FareGeek has not even tried to charge my account! After reading reviews on the internet I am now convinced they never intended to charge my card, wait for the ticket to cancel (it is the airline that cancels the ticket) and then have me buy a new one for a higher price. Seems to have happened to MANY of their customers.

If you ever see a positive review for FareGeek - beware because it is probably the employees/owners who wrote it. I have since booked another ticket directly with an airline and let me tell you, there is nothing wrong with my credit card.

Also, they display VeriSign on their website but are not part of that program - another red flag. Wish I had done my research before!

FareGeek Do yourself a favor and don't use their service

Was rerouted to this site from skyscanner.com which i thought to be a reliable site for comparing prices for flights. However this is turning really ugly. .

I'm supposed to leave with my girlfriend in two days, and yesterday i received an email from the company asking me to pay in cash to a bank account, because the deal i bought giving them my credit - card information, "could not be payed by credit - card". . Why would they then ask for my card information. . ?

Smelled really fishy so i tried to call them during their allegedly office hours. .

"thank you for calling faregeeks.com, please wait while we transfer you to one of our travel specialists. . . "

I have now been waiting in 1 hour and 14 minutes, but they still haven't picked up. . I doubt any of them even are working. .

Now i have paid for an expensive hotel in jamaica for 5 nights, they have my credit card information, won't pick up my call, asking for cash and i have no $#*!Ing flights for jamaica. . .

These ### really screwed me over. Do yourself a favor and don't use their service. .

I will also no longer trust skyscanner.com, as they obviously don't have some kind of validation of the companies they put you in touch with.

FareGeek They are likely selling information to others

A friend tried to book a flight on-line using an international credit card but they wouldn't process it without him photocopying the front and back of the card and faxing it to a number, which is a no-no. So he asked me if I would book the flight for him, which I did, and then he got an e-mail asking for the same thing from me, along with a copy of my driver's licence, home address, age, and signature FAXED to a number. Too much information is being requested and on checking with Mastercard, they advised that under no circumstances should this information ever be provided by fax, and even though I did not provide it, they cancelled my credit card and will be replacing it. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE LIKELY SELLING THE INFORMATION TO OTHERS FOR SINISTER PURPOSES.

FareGeek Ticket Scam

I booked a flight to Washington with Faregeek yesterday and when I received the confirmation email for the ticket, the times on my departure and arrival had been changed to dates different than the ones I had picked, causing me to lose two days off my trip. When I called the help number, Faregeek told me the only way to change the ticket to the correct times would be to pay a $350 ticket exchange fee. So all of the sudden my $500 ticket turned into $850. I checked around online, and it seems that several other people have been scammed the same way.

FareGeek They are a nightmare to deal with

On Thursday night, I booked a flight to India using this website. I received a confirmation email confirming my flight. The next day, I received an email from Faregeek telling me my booking had been CANCELLED with NO explanation. Just a generic "your booking has been cancelled." I responded and asked why my flight had unilaterlly been cancelled. Their response cited a "booking agreement" and they said they had left me a message about this. Complete lies. I never received a call from Faregeek and still have not received any calls from them. When I searched for the flight to rebook, the price increased by $200. I called faregeek and after hours and hours of waiting and making multiple calls, I have been given multiple conflicting reasons for the flight cancellation (one of which is that the airline refused to honor the "deal" that faregeek had advertised. Apparently, faregeek does not confirm prices with the airline before offering those prices. What kind of business does that?). They are a nightmare to deal with and I would recommend paying a little extra and using a different website to book your flights. If you use this site, I really hope that a flight has actually been reserved for you and that you actually make it to your final destination.

FareGeek One of the most appalling experiences I've ever had with an online company

One of the most appalling experiences I've ever had with an online company.

I booked a flight which was cancelled without any notice - then I was sent 3 separate customers credit card details by email by mistake.

I can only assume it also happened to me too, because shortly after using them I found fraudulent transactions on my card appear.

Avoid this site - go to orbitz.com, flightcenter.com (they'll price match any flight you find), expedia.com or any other site aggregator instead.

FareGeek Bait and Switch

Booked a round-trip flight from JFK (New York) to SOF (Bulgaria) connecting in London for $979
Received an email confirmation with a reservation number but later in the night I got an email from them that it was the "wrong validating carrier" The email made no sense, but it explained that my trip could not be booked and I should call to re-book my trip.
When I did they again tried to explain to me what the problem was and again it made no sense, but then they proceeded to offer me the same exact trip for $1200
Classic bait and switch.

It happen ed to me as well. They Charge me $550.00 when I ask to cancel my trip they told me I would only get a hundred dollar back out Five hundred fifty dollar
