Booked a 15 day trip thru this company( also known as Travel discount) to Egypt/Israel and Jerusalem. When speaking to the agent she informed that I had to put a 60% deposit down to get that rate. (Next day rate would be higher) That after paying 60% she would send invoice, to look over, approve and sign. Once that was done we would be booked and...

Platinum Holiday Club Platinum holiday club

I want to use my $2000 to go to stay at Mirage Whitsundays from 4th to 8th of April for my sons 21st birthday. I was told by the service representative there was nothing available.
So I rang and booked myself, at Mirage Whitsundays Then rang Platinum Holiday Club back. Got a very rude male. They refuse to pay because I did'nt go through them.
My $2000 voucher expires next February 2022. I am not taking anymore holidays this year and this is it.
My member number is 2133576
Regards Kathleen Bartolo.

Desired outcome: Fill $2000 to pay my holiday.

Platinum Holiday Club membership

I bought into this club paying $500 in membership
I booked a holiday.
Thinking I would have 2 vouchers left.
Joining was to receive 3 flight vouchers and $2000 in accommodation points

But they use really wordy language and for 3 flight vouchers and $2000 in accommodation vouchers you need to pay MORE MONEY!

All I got was a $200 flight voucher = $500

According to terms and conditions I'd need to "TOP" up my accommodation "POINTS" paying an additional $80?

What's the point of a club if you're not getting a discount on the accommodation?

I bought it over the phone a complete rip off!

Platinum Holiday Club 2000 dollar voucher

At first I thought this was a real scam but it took me a couple of calls to actually resolve the issue and I booked my flight and did go on my holiday, the holiday was great and my family had a good time.

My complaint is just about the service but the holiday itself was great. It was a bit hard to understand how the voucher worked but when I booked the flight and hotel it did work out cheaper.

i received a call from this company and was skeptical and they managed to get my credit card, yet later i looked at the website and it seemed ok, it was a little bit hard to find a good deal but i eventually booked my holiday. The trip was great and my wife was more happy than me. I just wish it was more clear i recommend calling the customer service to book the holiday rather than doing it yourself online.

Platinum Holiday Club continual denoting of my account

I have repeatedly asked the above service to stop debiting my account, and have been advised by this company they would send an email advising me payments have stopped. That has been a lie as I have woken to a text this morning saying a payment of $49.00 has been unsuccessfully debited. I have advised my bank, but I can only cancel my card, and their fore have to await a new one in which I can not, as I have other regular payments needed from this account. Platinum Holiday Club has continued in the past to take money from my account and on a few occasions been successful in doing so, even after I have asked for cancellation of this agreement. There fore, this has become fraud and I would like every payment and bank fee refunded back to my account by this company ASAP.
Regards
Mary Arlane Walker.

I was told I had been selected as a winner in their Platinum Club promotions randomly generated as a lucky 1000 out of 100000 people. They promised a $2000 accommodation voucher as well as $600 in flight vouchers. But there was a catch, I was told there would be 10 payments of $49 to secure my win. So basically for $490 they claim you get $2600 in freebies. Upon telling them I'd have to talk with my family before joining the girl quite persistently kept asking for credit card details in which I refused. She said she'd call later for my decision. I then looked up this company to find that some people had been scammed and ripped off. NEVER GIVE YOUR BANKING DETAILS OR ANY INFORMATION TO PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW OVER THE PHONE. Especially when something seems too good to be true it is . Always investigate first or get a family member to if unsure. I hate to see good hardworking Aussies get scammed, so be smart and do your homework first.

Platinum Holiday Club selling holidays & travel vouchers

Phoned me up wanting to sell holiday packages. Offered $2000 in travel vouchers which could be used over a 3 year period. They said they used a direct debit payment system, which you paved off over period of time. They said no deductions would be done until a date we had agreed upon yet 3 days later they tried to deduct money from my account. I had informed them no monies would be available until that date and yet they still went ahead and tried to get money out of my account which was rejected. The company they had set up to do the transaction than wanted to charge me $11.90 because transaction didn't go through. I have now canceled my account and told them I will not be paying fees to anyone. Then I sent them the following email and received their answer below ...

Ok all cancelled.
Cheers

Subject: Failed debit

Good Morning,

I am contacting you to cancel the membership one of your sales representatives tentatively sold to me on Friday 21st, April 2017. During that conversation which I recorded via my phone she assured me that the membership and the information I had given her would not be acted upon, until I had received further information about Platinum holiday club as the only information I knew about your organisation at the time of the call, was what she was telling me during the cold canvas call she had made to me. I informed her that once I received that information on how the membership worked and the benefits I would receive by being a member, I would then make a decision and get back to PHC and inform her as whether I would go ahead or cancel membership before any membership was to have begun. She informed me I would receive information on how the membership and how the vouchers you received when joining would work via email with in the next 24 hours and to keep an eye out for it via my email. To date I have received no such information. Then on Saturday 22nd April, I received in my email an email from [protected]@ezidebit.com.au thanking me for choosing them to pay for PHC membership and yet I still had not received any information on how the club worked or had agreed to go ahead with anything. The other agreement we had was, if I had agreed to go ahead with the membership once I had read relevant information on how membership worked, which was supposed to be emailed to me and still to date I have not received any such email, that the first deduction would not occur until the 3/05/2017 So after receiving the email from ezidebt I became suspicious of you company and what you were about. There was no phone number attached to the ezidebt email and it was a no reply email. I informed your representative during her call that if I was to go ahead that the first deduction would need to take place on the 3/05/2017 as there would be insufficient funds in my account to proceed with a payment until then. Again she assured me no transaction would occur with my account until that date and I had agreed to go ahead with membership. This morning I receive 2 emails and 2 messages on my mobile phone informing me that the debit amount of $49 had failed to go through on the 24/04/2017 and I have now incurred a $11.90 dishonour fee. This time the email listed a phone number to contact you. I phoned the number as received a recorded message saying I had a five minute wait before being able to speak with anyone or I could contact you via this email address.
So please take note as far as I am concerned I do not have and will never take up a membership with your PHC. Your dealings with me have been nothing but lies. I was told I would receive information via email to explain what your club membership was about and how the vouchers I received if I proceeded and joined would work. No such information has arrived to date. After your representative also assured me, no transactions would occur until I had agreed to membership and once agreed that the $49 payment would not be deducted until the 3/05/2017 you went ahead and tried to process a transaction deduction on the 24/04/2017, again another lie...
As far as I am concerned I have no membership with Platinum Holiday Club an do not wish to start a membership with PHC. As for the the $11.90 dishonour fee I do not see that as my fault or debt as I had informed your representative that if we were to go ahead no deductions should occur before the 03/05/2016 as they would be insufficient funds in my account until then and yet your company went ahead and tried to process a transaction on the 24/04/2017.
I do not wish to be associated with a company which lies and does not follow through with things they say they will do. If you wish to proceed with this matter or any payments you believe are out standing to you than I will be getting my self a lawyer to deal with and settle this for me. Any further transaction to my account will be viewed as fraudulent.

Regards

Harry Maybir

Platinum Holiday Club not enough information and finding out it's a rip-off

I have been paying $49.00 every fortnight for 6 months only to find out its a rip-off and I want my money back. The vouchers they give are not excepted in all places which sounds a bit dodgy I was told that I could use the vouchers for airfares which is not true can only use them for accommodation which gives you 10 percent discount which you can negotiate with cash so the vouchers are rip off

I received a call today offering me a $2000 travel voucher which I can use anytime in the next 3 years for on $200 (taken in 5 x $40 installments). Of course this is interesting! As I am a frequent traveler to Bali, I thought I would see how much this was going to cost me to go there. So, for starters they tell you about the "Hot Deals" on their website -...

Platinum Holiday Club customer service

I joined with this company after a phone call. I agreed to spend money on 'vouchers' and was told that I could use them anytime...theres no expiry date. I contacted them about 2 years later to book a holiday. They had 'changed' owners aand knew nothing of me. I persisted and finally they 'found' my details. When ever they said they would call me back with details of holiday they never did. Their web site at the time wasnt complete and I couldnt even get details online. I was promised a list of accomadation which took weeks to recieve.
When I stood up to them I was told to 'settle down'. One of the ladies even told me that she had a sick father and 'I' needed to be nice to her? What the...?
I never recieved emails or phone calls back when promised.
Finally months later when we finally booked a holiday, we drove 3 hours to our holiday destination, only to find they had no record from platinum about our arrival!
When we finally got into our room (with much drama) our oven didnt work, dryer/washing machine didnt work AND we got chraged extra on our credit card.
When I complained about this to platinum we were told to stop complaining and just enjoy holiday. I was also told that I have done nothing but complain the whole time I have delt with them...BUT THEY HAVE MADE THE SCREW UPS! They didnt want to take responsiblity or accountabilty for stuffing up.
When we got home I complained to consumer affairs. They told me that I defintly had a case against them. I needed to spend time getting dates, reciepts and write a detailed letter about the situation. I was in the process of doing this when my son was rushed to hospital, I then spent the next 2 weeks up there with him.
I then thought, I dont have the time to waste on this stupid company anymore. I was exhausted and worn out and didnt follow up on the complaint with consumer affairs. Im kinda kicking myself for it, however all I can say is DONT DEAL WITH THIS LYING COMPANY! We still have money invested with them and we will never get to use this.
BAD COSTOMER SERVICE!

Platinum Holiday Club Scam artists

My wife bought a vacation voucher for $300 from this company probably 2 years ago and they have never came through with producing the voucher or reimbursing her money. Owners wont return phone calls and being ignored, sure there are hundreds if not thousands of people who got scammed and now they are operating a company called Platinum One Destination. The government should shut companies down that take money from consumers but never deliver the product.

I have just got of the phone with a lady representing this campany. She was very pushy to get me to sign up after telling me that I had won a coupon worth $2600 for travel and accommodation. All I had to do was join the Platinum Travel Club and make 10 fortnightly payments of $49 which just seemed to be to good to be true which seems to be right after reading some of the other articles on this site

What the H has being a feminist got to do with anything LOL 😂😂 What a weird thing to say!And your comment of don’t cause others worry for naught is very irrelevant, as ALL the warnings on here are not only helpful but accurate. Can you not read all these people who were told they WON a prize, then at the end of this fantastic spiel get told oh its $49 to join..people don’t even get told it’s 10 lots of $49..Sooo many people on here scammed and trying to cancel the payments coming out, funding out the vouchers don’t work etc..but here’s a “feminist”(sorry I’m laughing so hard I can barely write) telling everyone to stop warning people?!BTW, considering your comment is nearly a year old;how did your experience with them end?Did you get your $2000 off of hotels and did you get your $600 worth of free flights?
