After opening an email from Intuit, FinWise Bank took it upon themselves to run my credit for a loan I never requested. I'm trying to rebuild my credit and this is yet another unsolicited hit. It's very unprofessional and just wrong. I won't be dealing with Intuit, FinWise, or LendingPoint LLC...ever! This should be illegal. They don't deserve any stars,,,ZERO, but since I'm forced to choose ONE.

During the COVID-19 outbreak "FinWise/AFF" offered customers a "Fresh Restart Program" where they would "move the loan payments 90 days in the future" in order to bring the account current (without derogatory reporting) for the 3 months of missed payments. In order to qualify, you had the option to pay the 1 month arrearage which it would report you as "current without any derogatory remarks" within 90 days or pay the 90 days right then and immediately it would reported current without any previous derogatory remarks. I chose the 1 month arrearage to pay for the March payment (began my "Fresh Start" in June ), and successfully paid each consecutive 2 months to cover the 90 days. Prior to agreeing to enrolling in the Fresh Start Program, I recorded the phone call just in case they renigged on their end -- turns out they did. To-date, they've received every dime on my part, yet my credit report still shows 3 missed payments for March, April and May . Credit score tanked, zero "Fresh Start", ruined my credit (score dropped 63 points). I repeatedly contacted FinWise/AFF (three times), even escalated the issue to a Supervisor who became "clueless" on the "Fresh Start Program". I asked for the Legal Department as my next remedy is to sue them for breaking FDCPRA laws, but wanted to mediate this between us prior to filing my lawsuit -- never received the Legal Department's information. This has been a never-ending nightmare. Lies, Lies, and more lies -- on tape. I want this off my credit report ASAP!

I'm having a terrible experience on paying a loan from this company. Interests are excessively high, there's no way to modify the payments even if you pay a lot of capital; the balance keeps increasing during the time you are paying not taking in account the extra payments. I have paid already 77% of the amount I requested 3 months ago and I will still be paying $290/ month until Oct 2021 (for $900 balance). Shameful!

FinWise Bank I have a loan through RISE

I have a loan through RISE. I have attempted to change my payment account multiple times and the website doesnt let me. It advises me to call. When I call, after being on hold for minutes, it goes to a *** call. They are now threatening to send me to collections and have yet to try to actually help me. I have sent several emails with screen shots and nothing has been done besides sending me a collections threat. THIS IS A SCAM.

I have had a loan with Rise, which is a Finwise product for over 2 years. As of May 2nd, the account shows a zero balance but for some reason, my account was reported as 30 days past due on my credit report. This is surprising, since my last payment was made on April 29th, so even if I did still owe on the loan I am still well within 30 days of the next due date which would have been in May. All efforts to make contact regarding getting the erroneous information have so far not worked. To add to that, I just separated from the Army and am in the process of trying to buy a house. This issue severely affects my ability to do so.

In November i applied and was approved for a loan with this company, since December i have made my payments prior to the due dates. my payments are to be made of $161.03. I have paid above that on each and every payment on the intent of paying loan off early, therefore making my credit score higher and saving money at the same time. But they are taking more and more towards interest than to the actual principal of the loan (i.e. December 9, $200 paid; December 29, $175.00 paid; February 10 I paid yet another $200.P I have contacted them and they have no intention of making things right. FinWise Bank FDIC Loan FW1454080, I requested a loan for $25,000.00

FDIC Loan FW1454080, I requested a loan for $25,000.00. On 7/19 I received a deposit in the amount of $23,000.00. The bank charged a $2,000.00 origination fee. Starting 8/19 I made payments in the amount of $774.35 once a month from 8/19-1/19, for a total of 6 payments. I went to pay my loan in full and on 2/14/22 it stated to pay in full would be $24,242.83 and on 2/18/22 it stated to pay in full was $24,322.09. On 2/18/22 I paid the balance in full in the amount of $24,322.09. Upon checking the documents it stated I paid $1,200.00 to my principal which was not reflected in final pay off. I am owed most of origination fee back and money for overpayment in interest.

FinWise Bank I started my account with *** on May, when I filled the application out it asked what are my pay dates

I started my account with *** on May, when I filled the application out it asked what are my pay dates. They are 7th & 22nd of each month. I asked them to makesure these are the days the payments are to be deducted from my checking account. Regardless of my request, the payment come out on or near the 1st & 14th. This has caused me at least *** in NSF fee's. Every time I call to get the date changed they have a different reason why they can't. I have already paid *** on a *** loan, as well as NSF fee's from my bank. I would like to know if this company can be held accountable for there lack of concern? Please let me know what I can do about this issue.

I recently refinanced my house and had checks to pay off 12 creditors which were dated for 11/9. I mailed all of them out 2 weeks ago and every one of them has been received and credited except this one. Most of them were credited by last week. I've called them several times and they just keep giving me a story about *** business days and saying they haven't received it. I verified the address with them that I mailed the check to and it was correct. The account is accruing large amounts of daily interest. The check should have overpaid the account by over $600 but that is all getting taken away in interest at this point. I feel like the check is there by now and no one is processing the payment and just allowing interest to accrue. I feel like they should process my payment immediately and credit the account for the extra interest.

FinWise Bank I was prequalified for a loan

I was prequalified for a loan. I submitted my bank information and pay stub then was told I would get a call to verify my identity and finalize loan. However I received a denial that states my identity could not be verified. I called and a representative stated she was told I needed to reapply in 30 days with a different email. I explained that I never even received any call to try to verify my identity. I asked to speak with supervisor or loan specialist and she stated no that I cannot be transferred as supervisors DO NOT take calls. My concern is that they have all my personal information now after saying I was prequalified but did not actually verify my identity and not able to speak with anyone regarding matter. Why would I create a separate email only for applying as she instructed? I never heard anything like this with any loan I have had and am concerned.

On 4/09 I wrote to customer service stating "I am a frontline registered nurse caring for Covid patients and in this time of great fear and stress I am requesting to settle my loan. I borrowed $5,000 and I have already paid $5,074$" The response from customer service did not address my specific question rather it was a canned response saying I could request to defer a payment. I responded to them saying please read my email thoughtfully, I did not request to defer my payment on April 10th, I did make my payment this past Friday. Several emails were exchanged and none of them addressed my original question. I also inquired what my payoff would be and was told $3,754 which blows my mind I have had this loan just under a year and have paid over 5,000$ already. How could a loan less than a year cost $3,754? on top of the over 5,000$ already paid? This seems usurious.

FinWise Bank Called in requesting to change loan payment for automatic scheduled payments due to a change in payroll payment cycle by employer

Called in requesting to change loan payment for automatic scheduled payments due to a change in payroll payment cycle by employer. First call made was on 11/19, I called requesting a change to my automatic scheduled payment date due account the payment schedule caused an overdraft on my personal checking account and was told that I could change the scheduled payment date since my payroll cycle changed from weekly to twice a month, but I had to wait until the after schedule payment posted which takes 3 business days.Called back on 12/01 at 09:30 to request a schedule payment date change as I was previously told I could do only to find when I called in that they will not adjust the schedule payment date and was not given any type of explanation of why now it cannot be changed. With paying high interest rate of ***% for loan of $3500.00 paying back $9120.40 they would at least be willing to adjust payment schedule due to a payroll cycle change.

I recieved a letter in the mail from FinWise Bank /Great American Finance and said I had been turned down for a loan but I have never applied for a loan with them. EVER! I never even heard of them. So I called them and talked to someone who just kept me holding on the phone and was making all these typing noises that seemed sketch. So when she would not respond I hung up. I am upset because the have a place that supposedly says why you are turned down and your credit score which both were blank. They obviously did not have any of my personal information to know my credit score. Something seems very odd and I hope me calling them and giving them the "Application number" they can't hack me some how. I do not even know if this business is legit? I do not know how to handle this since I tried to call the number and no satisfaction. I am concerned also if someone tried to take a loan out in my name? Or even a inquiry on my credit or something? I will look today to make sure there are no inquiries. Thank you

FinWise Bank I took out a loan with this company in September on 2021

I took out a loan with this company in September on 2021. I was making the payments until mu Husband lost his job, which I informed them of on the phone when they contacted me for payment. They sent me a settlement offer and I was unable to make the large lump sum payment they wanted with 3 days of receiving the offer. I sent them a letter on February 1, 2022 with a settlement offer to settle the account in full. Instead of responding to the letter, they sent me a generic email asking me to contact them to discuss my account. I told them I would like to keep everything in writing and they just kept sending me generic automated responses. It wasn't until I got fed up with them refusing to discuss my account in writing that they "notated my account and would be continuing with collections." They absolutely refuse to correspond in writing, their phone calls are also not recorded, so they are trying to make sure there is no record of what they are saying or doing. I am using this avenue to try and get them to discuss the issues in writing instead of being shady and refusing to do anything unless it cannot be traced.

FinWise Bank August I took a loan with Finwise bank at an interest rates of ***% which wasn't disclouse until after I agreed to to loan

August I took a loan with Finwise bank at an interest rates of ***% which wasn't disclouse until after I agreed to to loan. They set my payment at $ *** per month ,never missed a payment ,they were always on time . I called and spoke with one of their representative and asked if i make addition payment thoughtout the month would it be applied to my interest he stated yes. I made 2 extra payment that they applied to interest. I called and asked why I was told that all the extra payment should have been applied to my principle and someone would look into it and call me back. Never received a call back In February I called to make my regular payment plus an extra $1000.00 and was told that $712.00 would be applied to interest and the remaining would go to principle I ask why the interest is added into my monthly payment .At that point I cancel my bank account that was set for automatic withdraw and told them until they apply all my extra payment to my principle I will not make any more payment. This company is a rip off, they use American Freight to handle their loans. Not one person there seen to know what they are doing.

FinWise Bank Upstart Loan Team, which is funded by FinWise Bank, claims I owe them monthly payments for a $943.57 loan I applied for but never received

Upstart Loan Team, which is funded by FinWise Bank, claims I owe them monthly payments for a $943.57 loan I applied for but never received. I have emailed them multiple times saying yes I applied for the loan but the funds never hit my account. I have explained this over the phone to their customer service *** is like they can't hear or read anything because they continue to harass me with multiple phone calls and emails saying I owe them a monthly payment. Again, I applied for the loan but the money never was deposited in my account. *** Fargo has already researched this and returned the monthly drafts to my account as I do not owe Upstart Loans anything! They are blind or illiterate and can't understand multiple emails saying the same thing. Please help me. No matter how many emails I send telling them the same thing, they still can't read well and say I owe the money. Upstart loans are financed by FinWise bank. FinWise can't read any of my responses saying the money never hit my account. Yes I applied, no I did not receive anything. *** Fargo confirms that I never got the money deposited but Upstart/FinWise harasses me over the phone and through emails saying I owe the money to them. They ignore my email responses as though they can't read at all! Their emails say FinWise Bank, *** with an email address of *** Each time I contact them, they ignore the I don't owe you this money statements and continue to harass me with more calls and emails as though they can't read or understand anything I say. Please get them to leave me alone and not put this fraudulent debt on my credit. I applied but never received the money so I don't owe the monthly payment. They claim I owe them 31 payments of $40.38 for a loan I never received.
