My bf and i checked in last wed but found the property opposite on its pictures online. Whew! So when we got to our room omg the room smelled cigarettes and its a non smoking room so we tried to spray perfume but after enjoying the beach which was just close we found that the bed is too soft so we ended up checking out at 6PM. Unable to rest due to the smell and floors dont just look old but dirty. We ended up staying in another hotel that is of the same price but waaaay to clean and decent. What a waste so please dont get scammed on its photos and the swimming pools.
Recommendation: Pls dont stay on this hotel dont know why its called hotel. The whole building should be renovated. Oh the price for one night is almost 150$. Never again.
8th floor community patio is gross
We've been coming to the flagship for almost 4 years now and for the first time ever we don't have a private balcony. Some of the rooms on the 8th floor share community patio along with the rest of the hotel. We're used to overlooking the boardwalk, the bay or street, but we have a walkout patio with views of cigarette butts, crumbling walls and weeds. The room itself is quite nice; we love the layout and all the amenities. We aren't able to keep the curtains open because people walking by can look right into our unit so that's a definite drawback.

We bought a unit 20 years ago, were told the value of the property would double once the Borgota was built, were told in 2016 the value was $26,000, was told they would probably start a buyback program when I explained buying it was the biggest mistake we ever made, and sent a letter offering to give them the property back for free and never heard back. 4 out of the 5 times we used it over 20 years the places were dirty and vile, and trying to get reservations in choice places was impossible. If you really want to buy a time share, go on ebay and you can buy the same properties for a few bucks. If I could give this company a negative ratings, I would do it.

When we checked into our room we found a pubic hair in the bedsheets and immediately called housekeeping, We were told to wait until someone was available. After several hours the attendant that arrived expressed they were busy and short staffed and therefore things were missed. This is disgusting and unacceptable. In an era where COVID-19 is and will be with us for a long time to come to a hotel, or resort with such a lack of regard for hygiene cannot be trusted to keep the spaces "clean" enough for peace of mind." In addition the bar and reception area was filled with flies and gnats further confirming a lack of cleanliness. I also believe that smoking is not allowed in an indoor pool area but apparently at this hotel it is. Do not stay here.

I have been a Time Share owner with Flagship Resort since 2001, and most recently their customer support is horrible. On January 29, I spoke with a Customer Service Rep (CSR) about becoming a RCI member, and she instructed me to go to Flagship Resort website and sign up, and that's what I attempted to do. But, I was unable to sign up, because I had to do so through a Flagship representative. I have called Flagship several times regarding RCI. I have called morning, afternoons, and evenings, and was on hold for over 40 minutes once. I have left very detailed messages, and have not received a response back from Flagship. On February 25, I placed another call to the resort, and remained on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally, I was able to speak with a customer service representative, I began by explaining my concerns regarding previous calls, detailed messages, and the non-responsiveness. CSR informed me that Flagship tried emailing me but email bounce back. I found that very interesting, because anytime there are payment requirements, my email works fine. Anyhow, during this call, I felt like I was gaining traction, and the call dropped. I waited several minutes anticipating a returned call, and today is March 1, and I'm still waiting. Therefore, due to my frustration I decided to file a complaint. Flagship Resort customer support is horrible, and improvements are definitely needed. NOTE: I understand that we are experiencing a pandemic, but that is no excuse for not doing your job.
Pressured into buying a timeshare and wasn't allowed to leave. Lied to about yearly fees and exchanges. Flagship will not negotiate or compromise on a payment to allow us to exit and leave ownership on good terms. Also stated they would not take the property back even if we paid in full. Threatened us stating they will ruin our credit if we did not continue to pay.

They also made out the timeshare to be usable at any time, though the countless times I've attempted scheduling vacations, nothing is ever available. For the few times I was able to find availability to stay, I experienced broken appliances, smelly rooms, torn curtains, terrible customer service, and we even found a mole in the bathroom! Not only is this timeshare a waste of time to use and is in no way a worthwhile vacation option due to its terrible quality in multiple ways, but it is a huge financial struggle to keep up with, with the rising cost of the maintenace. I am unemployed and plan to retire very soon. This will make paying for this extremely burdening and is a waste of money anyway since it is nothing like fantasea told me it would be like.Ifeel like a victim of a scam and completely mistreated as a consumer, as I was misled by fantasea to purchase this and have been ignored by them each time I have tried seeking to end my relationship with them. I haven't heard from them once. I am hoping this complaint will get their attention and they will reach out to help me, because my son is hospitalized and very sick, this is causing a very harsh financial strain on me on top of the financial hardship of the timeshare already weighing me down, and I am desperate to be rid of this timeshare so I can focus on helping take care of my son.

If we would have known what we know now, there is no way we would have ever answered Fantasea's call. They tell you about all the glitz and glamour of owning a timeshare. You don't own a thing. There is no glitz or glamour. Just run down facilities and people taking advantage of you with a smile on their faces. We have been impacted just like everyone else in this pandemic. We have reached out asking for assistance in canceling. Fantasea has done nothing but send us what seems to be generic answers saying we're in this for the long haul. We see the reviews this company gets. We know they're doing this to a number of people. It is completely astounding that they can get away with this. We would like for someone from Fantasea to reach out to us and have an honest conversation about why we need out. Not some generic "you signed up for this" type thing.
This timeshare isn't living up to what they advertised. We have tried to use this timeshare over the 20 years we've owned it and it has gotten more and more difficult. We were told about several programs that we could use to trade units and book cruises. We used those a couple of times over the years and eventually, that became impossible to book as well. Fees rise constantly. We are paying for something that we aren't getting the benefit from. We are asking to be terminated and be done with FantaSea, but we are getting nowhere. No one wants to purchase this timeshare so it is near impossible to sell. We need some type of solution. ASAP
I've been coming here for 20 years and this year alone I spent over $*** last year over *** I'm a chairman owner and I come the rooms are dirty the tallest don't work the water don't work we didn't have cable for 4 days no TV the showers leaking all over the floor the microwaves dirty the stove's dirty is dirt in the sheets the floors are dirty the windows are dirty refrigerator the shelves are hanging off is banged up refrigerator barely works the doors are dirty the carpets are dirty the rest the whole always thinks the room stinks the customer service is horrible the people that work at the front desk are nasty and sarcastic they don't care we were just here yesterday and all day no water the place is horrible and needs to be condemned the management don't care and I'm a chairman of spent over $10,000 just the last 2 years upgrading the chairman and the place is horrible no one cares no one gives you your money back or gives you extra days or compensates you for all the problems
I was lied to when buying a timeshare. My wife and I sat for over six hours with the salesman and consistently said no. Once he told us that the value of our timeshare would go *** in a few years, we decided to buy. We signed all of the papers but my wife had signed her maiden name since we had been recently married. By that time she changed her mind and said that she no longer wanted it. The lady doing the loan said that it was too late and that we had committed to buying so we had to buy and resign all of the papers. We paid off our loan a few years ago and just recently checked the value of our timeshare and come to find out our timeshare is worth less than half of what we paid. I have contacted the office numerous times to get information on a buyback. The first time the lady said someone would contact me but for the remaining calls I have left voicemails with no callback. We were lied to into buying our timeshare and do not want it anymore due to the false information.

During so I told the rep I was a disabled vet and did not travel that much anymore since I left the military. They came at me with I don't know how many offers and would not let me leave. He told me I needed to get in on the ground floor that it was an investment I could make money on. He said I could rent it out whenever I couldn't use it. Keep for a couple of years and sell for a much larger profit. As I mentioned I was and am a disabled vet and when I went I just started another medication and sitting for long periods of time causes me a lot of pain so I did finally say yes. I was able to make it there once while I thought the room was nice it was not for me. I never made it back and when I realized what the sales rep said to me was untrue I let it go. I never knew it was something that could go on my credit or I would have taken more serious or maybe just walked out I thought later. Being disabled with a family I can't afford lawyers or whatever method needed so I tried contacting to see what I needed to do to resolve this it has remained active on my credit for three years as open account. The rep told me all kinds of lies to get me to buy I even wrote a letter explaining this and I never got a response. I couldn't get through to anyone on phone. This is ma*** things harder on me. I asked since I was on medication at the time and can prove through my va records could this get resolved but never got an answer back.
This company will prey on whomever they can get their claws into. If you happen to *** up with these people... good luck. You're stuck forever. My late husband and I were approached and told that this was a great investment. We were sold lies about how we could book whenever we wanted. I do not want to pass this along to my children. I have tried to reach out to them and ask to just be done with the timeshare as my health is declining and funds are becoming tight. I have been told there is no way out other than to sell. It was 2009. I was invited to Flagship for a free night, ***, and dinner. Since I was recently divorced I brought my two girls. We sat through a presentation and told how I could treat my girls each year and how inexpensive it is to give my girls a trip every year. I constantly told them I couldnt afford it. They kept going back and forth. Finally they offered every other year. I just wanted to get out, so I agreed. Maintenance would only be *** every other year. I thought I could swing that. When I went to use it, I had to pay extra just to book it. I ended up only using it twice. I paid it off and now the maintenance fees are ***. I am a teacher and struggled to put food on the table, but they didnt care. I spoke to several salespeople and explained this and they wanted to sell me more upgrades, which I did not do. I have left several messages and told someone will get back to me, no one did. They also said it would be easy to sell since it was the only one in AC.
We signed up for this when we were younger. We traveled a lot back then and it made sense. We were not told about their maintenance fees going up so often. It has put a financial strain on us as retired individuals. There are things hindering us from traveling now. We both find it difficult to travel at all due to our ages and our health issues. The last time we traveled and used the timeshare, the amenities at the facilities were basically all closed. We have requested assistance from Fantasea to be released. They have given us nothing but issues. We have been told over and over that we're stuck in this forever. We do not want to pass this down. If this is the route we need to take to get someone's attention that is willing to help, then that's what we will do.
This is the worst investment we've made to date. This place is a scam. We have put so much money into this with little to nothing to show for it. They do not advise you that the maintenance fees steadily increase every year. This has become a burden to our family. We have asked to cancel our ownership multiple times. We have been ignored and then sent a generic message telling us they won't take this back from us and that they want us to enjoy our timeshare. We have ZERO desire to "enjoy" the timeshare. We do not want it. Stay far away from these people! If you want any peace of mind, do not take the bait.

We have attempted to receive contact from Mr. H...Alter or anyone at FantaSea Resorts with no success. Mr. A is the VP of Owner Relations and clearly does not deserve the title. He has been nothing but rude and belittling. He claims that FantaSea denies any wrongdoings but does not have the decency to acknowledge our letters. We have been in dispute with FantaSea for quite some time now. We told Mr. A the last time we stayed in the unit there was a leak under our sink causing water to run on the tiled floor. It was very hazardous. This was not able to be repaired without shutting down a large part of the building. So we had to live with this leak and we were responsible for emptying a pan periodically. You would think after investing thousands of dollars this would not be an issue. After staying at the resort so many times, we knew what to expect for the refrigerator-size in our unit and would bring food appropriate for that size. One time we were only offered a portable dorm size fridge that could not hold all of our perishable food. We had to complain and wait for them to bring us a larger fridge. Again, we are investing thousands of dollars for a luxury experience. There were also never enough chairs for everyone to sit down and relax in at the pool. So you either had to wait or come back later. Teenagers were always running up and down the halls making all sorts of ruckus. FantaSea was always going on about how they are going to gentrify and property values would increase, but this still has yet to happen. On top of all of this, we are now on a fixed income and investing in such a worthless company holds no value. Since purchasing there have always been issues with our timeshare, but in the last couple of years, it has gone beyond downhill. Our only interest is to surrender this ownership back to FantaSea immediately.

This has been the worst decision we have made. The level of deceitfulness running through this company is astounding. From the first encounters with FantaSea, we experienced their lies. We signed up for this because our son was in the military and we wanted to travel to see him. We were told we would have no trouble traveling to Hawaii where he stationed. When the time came, it was impossible to book. We tried upgrading. We still couldn't book at the places we wanted. There are several other instances with this company that has left us wondering why a company would operate this way. We have requested to cancel our ownership as this does not benefit us, but we have gotten nowhere. We are throwing away money. We could use the funds we're wasting on this timeshare to travel to any destination we desire. I would stay FAR away from this company unless you enjoy wasting your money and not being able to use the services as promised.
6/26 Attended timeshare seminar, was promised a Disney availability in November, gave $3300 deposit, then discovered we can't use the timeshare for this year. Was given a "free"certificate" to use for Disney that are not able to use. We were told we could book rooms as owners at the resort for $60-120 a might but either can not get through or the rooms are nbooked, were told we would be given a free weekend to attend an orientation and should be called in a week and its been over 6 weeks. No one returns our calls. We finally got a hold of someone today and asked if the company had a buy back program and were told that we own it and that is not a possibility.
We have had the worst time with this company. We have visited and the facilities have been filthy. We have requested to get out of our contract. We have been ignored. We don't want anyone else to be caught *** in these lies. We have tried everything we know to get them to respond and let us go but there has been nothing sent to us. That lets you know what type of people you're dealing with. We just want some type of relief. We want someone to listen. Steer clear of Fantasea.

I am a timeshare owner and I have made all payments all time, mortgage, maintenance, you name it. I. simply want to give this timeshare back or do whatever is necessary to relinquish my ownership as being an owner with Flagship Resort has become an extreme financial burden, and my timeshare is becoming a major liability. When I attended the sales meeting, I was a young *** Force member with two kids without much money to spare each month, but the sales team talked me into believing the timeshare was a great deal and I would be able to vacation anywhere in the world I wanted, and would save money. It was very difficult to make the maintenance fee payments, and in my 22-year military career, we had no intention of going back to *** to vacation while stationed around the country and world, so I had to spend money on exchange fees and often take a vacation somewhere that we really didnt want to go, just to use up the exchange so we wouldnt lose it. The maintenance fees just continue to climb higher and higher, which they did not warn me about upfront when I purchased, and my children have less than zero interest in taking over ownership of the deed and the annual fees. Handing this timeshare to them is not optional, they apparently must take it over and this is simply not doable, not for me and not for them either. We've never had issues with unclean rooms, broken appliances, etc. that were not fixed by the resorts when we let them know, so we know this business is capable of doing the right thing. Fantasea, please do the right thing and reach out to assist me. My family and I need help.

We have have had an extremely terrible experience from the beginning with this timeshare and we have gotten literally no help in fixing the situation. The day we were sold the timeshare *** told multiple lies to us about the amount of the annual maintenance fees and several other keys financial aspects of the timeshare. We were overwhelmed with all the announcements that were taking place all around the room of people who gave in and purchased the timeshare that day. My fianc and I were one of the last people there who had not come to a decision because we were indecisive. *** promised us that we would have months to opt out of the timeshare and that we would be fully informed and have all our remaining questions answered at a officially mandatory meeting regarding the timeshare. During the sale of timeshare *** was very persuasive but he also became very obsessive with my fianc. I showed distaste in the way he was behaving as a business that I was becoming involved with and *** continuously disregarded concerns and became even irate with me. It started to feel like he was turning my fianc against me and he was clearly disregarding the tension that he was causing my relationship, when he started chastising me for being upset with my picture for our resort ID. *** and my fianc continued to communicate strangely. *** approached me at the bar in the resort and I was extremely uncomfortable. I was having a conversation with someone at the bar in the resort and he went so far as to interrupt my conversation and began speaking with the person I was talking to so I moved away immediately. To start I didn't know why my room smelled so bad, i was there 7 days on the 11th fl. kept the window cracked so that air could circulate ask to get a different room only to be told that non was available, o.k. shopped and brought carpet cleaner and smell better that wasn't the only problem seems the carpet was wet from the ice machine all Thanksgiving day it was soaking wet the next day house keeping came to vacuum it dry but then put the air blower on it to blow dry witch it smelled like cat *** horrible, i didn't want to complain it would have did me any good. But to add insult to injury my Grandson fall breaks fractures his firmer bone in a soft cast the day before we're to check out which delayed me form checking out not to mention elevator delay their policies one man one cart, (call for two carts u get two carts) also delayed the process i heard phone ringing I had to run back inside to say "i'm leaving" 250.00 i could have stayed another day. 50.00 for any dishes left in sink and they maid u sign a paper on the bottom of that paper states any late check outs well be charge 250.00 and i guess kudols cause MS. C could have charge both rooms. WELL just to say people, their are lots of hotel stays in Atlantic city that are 10 times better then FANTASEA RESORT. I've been their lots of times but one thing for sure I, neither my friends and family members wont be going back there especially if MS. C is front desk director. Don't look down your nose at people, I'm clean, caring and compassionate I deal with the Good and the Bad, I don't stand over people with my face balled up disgust we didn't destroy any thing 2 -3 hr delay is hurting your establishment when,the whole 7 days was a delay for all of your amities due to covid -19 I didn't complain if I missed it, I missed it. Yet the same courtesy was not given to me even when ask. I'm sure you won't miss us. But their are plenty more Hotels to go to your in competition,not me.

The costs of trying to exchange are ridiculous, not to mention it has no trade or exchange value. My mortgage is paid in full and has been - but just an example to share with anyone reading this or researching FantaSea - free since 2012 has cost me $5,282.55! These are just expense-related items associated with FantaSea. Maintenance Fees just for 2019 were $755.20. (They started at $200). In 2008, my husband (and co-owner) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. We went to them at this time and requested assistance to sell. I cannot maintain this on my own because their version of free is too expensive; another reason is that my husband's healthcare needs were top priority. They declined to assist us and instead made matters worse for me. Michael V sold me an upgrade telling me that it would be less expensive for me alone to maintain (untrue, see above). It would have a remarkable booking and exchange power that I could literally exchange equally, even internationally and on the best tourist beaches abroad. It has no exchange power. I have voiced complaints in person since 2008. I have called and voiced them verbally. I have mailed complaints. I have emailed complaints. No response. When I have made them in person so I cannot be ignored (like in 2008), they try to upsell me again, and they inform me that my complaints are too bad, but there are no options to fix them, and they will not help me in any way. In 2019 they called and informed me that if I did not participate in an hour-long sales call that I would forfeit some of my usage rights as they were. They were insistent that I convert to points. I informed them over and over that this would not happen since I had become wise to the lies and deceptions now. I made it known at that time as well that I was unhappy, desperate, and unsatisfied. The solution as always? Buy more. I spent over $15,000 paying off the mortgages already! I did not buy into this pitch thankfully! In 2010 they did not have availability. I paid out-of-pocket to vacation without my timeshare. During the 4th of July weekend, my son and I were shuffled to someplace in Bayse, VA, using this timeshare because that was ALL they had to offer. There were no amenities unless we consider indoor plumbing to be an amenity? The roads were mostly unpaved. No internet service was available, wireless or wired. There was no pool and not even a body of water we could enjoy without a long car ride. There was one restaurant, and even that required a trip over unpaved roads. Service was non-existent and unavailable anywhere but at the library. That in conjunction with no internet, what a mess. I want them to take the deed back and return the money I have paid in maintenance fees over the entire time period of ownership. They did not deliver on promises, they have not delivered any owner care or customer services, and I insist they take this false vacationing membership back! While I would normally reach out to the business, and there would be results, I have sent written letters and emails since 3, and none of them were responded to. I sent one certified letter, so I know they received it, and they ignored it. Even if I could use this timeshare (which has always failed), they refuse to answer and assist owners, like myself, in doing so. I am past all of that anymore and want them to take back this deed.
