I am homeless trying to find housing. I have a very small income and I have tried to separate from the timeshare I bought several years ago but am told my credit will be ruined and I won't be able to rent a place. I haven't used the timeshare for several years and am severerly hardshipped because of COVID income and the passing of my wife. I had no idea when I bought this 20 years ago that I was signing up for a life commitment. I am a veteran and am hoping to get housing from the VA or an apartment. Either way with the very small social security check that I recieve is not enough to pay the over $1,000 member annual fees. Please can someone help. My son and I have reached out several times to try to just give it back with several unused weeks. Only to get threats that my credit will be ruined and no responses. This has been going on for 2 years now. Please help someone.

My wife and I are needing to be released from our timeshare contracts for several reasons. We are in some very difficult situations that makes having a timeshare a burden. I am a disabled veteran and have recently received a 60% rating, so traveling is difficult for me. My wife and I are also raising our grandchildren, and are having to deal with the maintenance fees plus the rising costs of raising children, medicine, health care, etc. We have no debt towards the timeshare and do not see why we cannot get out. QM has reached out to us and said that they do not have a buyback program at this time and our only option is to transfer it to someone or resell it. We do not know anyone who wants this timeshare, and we are not interested in reselling, especially with the coronavirus situation, as I am sure no one wants to buy a timeshare at this moment. We did try to send a rebuttal back to QM but have not heard a response.

we agreed to 1-3 weeks a year with our gold membership. 1 week we get a 2 bedroom, 2 weeks a 1 bedroom, and 3 weeks we get a studio. This turned out to be an outlandish fabrication of what we actually could get. We have only 1 time been able to get 7 days. The rest was less than a week. Not many vacations either. Maybe 7 or 8 times. The $ 1330.00 we pay a year for maintenance fees more than cover the cost of 3 days at a resort without the restrictions that this time share has presented to us so that is added weight of our displeasure with QM. ( just so you know .. I looked this up and in Nevada there are some laws against this type of behavior.NR598.0915 Deceptive trade practices. I think this would fall under # 5 ) I do not know about you but I feel foul play is afoot. We have attached our proof we our gold members. We want a cancellation and because they misrepresented what we would get we feel they should repay us. The whole company might not have done this but their employees did and they are responsible for their employees behavior. Also we do not feel we signed up for a lifetime commit that would be unsellable.
We were given a lot of false information which resulted in our purchasing a time share with QM Corporation. The agent, MJ D, informed us that we were approved for a low interest loan with Bank of America when in fact the loan was a high interest loan provided by this company. When we got home to try to cancel the sale within the 5 day deadline, MJ D was inaccessible for almost 2 weeks and she was not answering her phone calls or returning messages. The deadline expired and we were unable to cancel the deal.
It is extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone at this company. We have been owners since 1999 and are being ignored by multiple people at QM. Extremely disappointing. We have paid everything we owe to them and have maintained good standing with covering the ever-increasing fees and to be ignored is hard to swallow. We were told this purchase would be an investment but we have only wasted money. There are years that we have been unable to find a time and location we truly desire. The cost of this has become a huge burden for an aging couple on a fixed income and experiencing health issues. We have emailed and called member services, Tim R, Leta E, and Joann J. We have explained our situation and have requested options to exit the ownership. We have received no call backs or returned emails. The only communication we received was in the form of a letter that had my address and account number listed but under someone else's name. The letter also mentioned that the account was behind on payment. Our account is not behind and we find it difficult to have faith in a company that has such a mix up in accounting. It makes me wonder if we have paid even more than necessary because of a mistake the company made. We would like a response from someone who can provide us the necessary paperwork to exit the contract.

On Dec 21, 2009 we were staying at the Thunderbird Resort when we sat through a required presentation again. We were pressured to upgrade from Silver to Gold level. We were unhappy that we could not trade our Timeshare and go to all the wonderful resorts as promised when we bought originally. At this presentation they insisted we need to upgrade from Silver to Gold and then we would have tremendous trading power to go anywhere (including Internationally). This promise was not true. After upgrading to Gold we later went to France. Our plan was to use our Timeshare so we wouldn't have to stay at hotels in France. We had zero luck at getting a timeshare in France. We have also tried to trade within the United States with limited success. Their promises of trading power were false. We really feel they lied to us about the upgrade from Silver to Gold. This timeshare has become a burden, both financially and emotionally. When we bought we were promised Timeshares were easy, convenient and a money savings investment that could be passed on to our grandchild. It has not been cheaper or easier to own a Timeshare. It is exhausting, difficult to set up vacations, and stressful because of the presentations and lack of resorts available when we are going on vacation. Please cancel our contract effective immediately, and refund us the amount we have invested in this property which is an estimated $35,000. We want this transaction completed within the next two weeks, and we do not want any negative consequences because of our decision. Contact us should you need any more information.

I am requesting my release from maintenance fees $1,378.80 the reason for this request is that I am having surgery on 12/17 and again on [protected] which are $2,800 each and I can't afford to pay these fees. I am a 76 year old retired nurse if I pay these fees I can;t have my other surgery. I am on a fixed income and paying for these fees would put me in disarray.
After speaking with them, we have resolved the issue.
