Disappointed with Flightnetwork.com's Lack of Compassion and Professionalism During Crisis
I am writing to express my disappointment with flightnetwork.com. I have been a loyal customer for many years, booking 10-20 flights through their website without any issues. However, my recent experience has left me feeling disgusted and repulsed by their lack of compassion and professionalism.
I booked a flight to Nice, France three weeks ago, not anticipating the recent events in Paris and the heightened state of alert in the country. As a seasoned traveler, I did not think travel insurance was necessary during low season. However, given the current circumstances, I no longer feel comfortable traveling to France.
When I contacted flightnetwork.com to inquire about a refund or change of destination, I was met with an insensitive and unapologetic response. The staff member repeatedly told me that my flight was non-refundable and avoided answering my questions about flights to Paris. When I finally got an answer, it was clear that flights were not operating to Paris, yet the company refused to offer any flexibility or compassion.
To make matters worse, the employee I spoke with, Apuser, hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. This is unacceptable behavior from a customer service representative and shows a complete lack of regard for the customer.
I am deeply disappointed in flightnetwork.com and will never use their services again. I will also be recommending to my friends and family to avoid this company. In times of crisis, it is important for companies to show compassion and flexibility, and flightnetwork.com has failed to do so. I urge anyone reading this to consider using a live travel agent instead of this insensitive and unprofessional company.
Flight Network's Impossible Flight Changes and Poor Customer Service
Flight Network sold me flights that were impossible to change. They said that changes required the same carriers and exact same legs, but they did not offer tickets on those legs anymore. I was stuck with flights that I couldn't change, even though the airlines still had those legs available.
When I needed to change my return flights, I spent a total of three hours on hold with Flight Network. The operator could only search for flights on two different dates, which made it difficult to find suitable flights. I had to call back multiple times just to check different dates.
After searching for a month's worth of flights, I found that Flight Network did not offer any flights with the exact same airline and legs that I needed. I even called the airlines themselves, but they were unable to change the flights because Flight Network had control of the tickets.
Overall, I will never use Flight Network again because of their extreme malpractice. They make it difficult for customers to change their flights and are disingenuous with their business practices. I will be telling others about my experience to warn them about Flight Network.
FlightNetwork's Broken Promise: Extra Charges for Flight Change
I have a complaint about FlightNetwork that I want to share with everyone. My family and I recently booked a flight with them for a vacation in the Philippines. We were enticed by the promos they were offering, claiming to be the cheapest option available. We received our itinerary with the dates of our flight to the Philippines and back to Edmonton, which was scheduled for June 13, 2017, and July 6, 2017, respectively. However, on May 17, 2017, FlightNetwork emailed me that there would be changes to our flight. They informed me that our return flight would have complications, and it would be better for us to change our flight to an earlier time. Both FlightNetwork and I agreed to the 3 pm flight, and they promised me that there would be no fees regarding this change. We trusted them and believed in their promise.
However, the problem occurred during our flight returning to Canada. On the very same day of our flight, at the airport, we were surprised to find out that we needed to pay an extra $700++ as a penalty because of the flight change. This was unacceptable since FlightNetwork was the one who changed our flight, and they promised that there would be no fees or penalties with the change. What they did was extremely wrong. What if we didn't have that much money to pay on that day? Would that mean we wouldn't be able to get on the plane that we paid for months ago? I had a pregnant wife beside me and a little boy, and that $700++ wouldn't even be enough as compensation for all the stress they caused my family. I made phone calls after phone calls, but all I got was FlightNetwork telling me that they were still waiting for a reply from Philippine Airlines. FlightNetwork already knew that because of the changes in the flight, Philippine Airlines told them that I would pay the penalty, but FlightNetwork never told me about it until the day I was returning to Canada. Now, Philippine Airlines and FlightNetwork are pointing fingers at each other, and I'm caught in the middle.
I want my money back! I didn't book this flight to pay that much! Even FlightNetwork admitted that it was their fault, but it's been three months, and I don't deserve to be overcharged! Flight change sometimes is unavoidable, but extra charges with the change that came from them are unacceptable! FlightNetwork should be reliable, and they should take action on this. I'm calling the attention of FlightNetwork and all the FlightNetwork users who have similar cases. I want my money back! It's my hard-earned money!
I called FlightNetwork today, October 23, 2017, before posting this letter, and they're still waiting for a reply from Philippine Airlines. It's frustrating to know that they haven't done anything yet, and I'm still waiting for my refund. I hope FlightNetwork will take action soon and resolve this issue.

I made an mistake by thinking SAR is South African currency but our currency is ZAR I was quoted SAR 15,158.79 when i got the notification from my bank it showed ZAR 71,336.99
At that stage, there was not enough funds in my credit card for ZAR 71,336.99 the SAR 15,158.79 would have been enough for me to cover. I cancelled with Flightnetwork as well as my credit card division, unfortunately my credit card said that the airline should cancel it from there side. This is the answer i got:

Flight refund not being paid
the flight number is LYUQNQ to a Darwin on the 12/03/2023. I had to cancel the flight due to medical reasons. I paid for travel insurance for the flight. I emailed my medical certificate with in the 5 day cut off period as required. flight network have refused to pay the refund saying I did not provide the medical certificate within the required time. I have proof that this incorrect which I can provide.

Change in a letter of name
It was a terrible terrible experience ... My son made a mistake in a letter of his name. Approached the travel agent and was told I had to contact the airline directly. Contacted the airline and was told I had to go back to agent. Airline will allow for changes only for direct bookings (if only I had known, I would never go to the travel agent for such bookings even if it cost more!) ... contacted Flight Network again and was told to go back to the airline... went back airline and they affirmed they cannot do anything ... contacted Flight Network and was told cancellation fees was $400 plus (triple the price of the ticket)... was told there was no way out. Begged for help ... was told to pay $60 to get the support team to raise the case with the airlines with no promise that the airline would charge more... I said this $60 was worth a few good day of wages for work for my boy ... answer was "sorry ma'am, it's a policy which we cannot change"... Gosh! ... Airline would have made the change for free for up to 3 letters ... What a terrible way to reap more money from people who were already on a budget ... Had no choice but to pay $60... waited for 2 days... the change from the letter from "x" to "s" is still in the queue... that speaks a lot for the cases with Flight network - felt really sorry for the experience. I hope the rest do not go through this like me.

Change of name
Flightnetwork have put two tickets in my name rather than my husbands even though it has his DOB next to one of them.
I have called them the next day to rectify this but they said it was the airlines responsibility, the airline tried to do it with our passport details but couldnt so sent me back to flightnetwork.
They charged me another £30 but I have not received the change of name.
They are not providing an email address that I can reply to I.e customer services.

Refund of monies
Unable to use flights booked in July, I applied for a refund via Emirates not knowing that I had been diverted to a third party, Flight Network.
Have tried to email with a no reply message, contact phone numbers do not connect and have spoken on two occasions via a virtual person via email conversation, the only thing that they have done and do very promptly was to cancel my two tickets with Emirates and supplied me a cancellation notice with a refund number of LX7291, noting the booking had been cancelled and they had to send the refund application to the airline, well the airline did not take the monies in the first instance.
Desired outcome: Was advised of a $500 AUS fee per ticket cancellation fee, just want a refund of the balance of the monies.
A cancel flight refund
I booked a flight with Flightnetwork back in 2019 but due to Travel advisory i decided to change to flight to another date and country and paid the differences.
In 2020 the flight was canceled by the airlines because of Covid-19 pandemic and I was supposed to get the refund for the cancel flight.
What in the end I got was $126 while I paid over $2,100.
Since early 2022 That I got the $126 refund I have been following up with the FlightNetwork and whenever I call they say they are waiting for AirCanada to make the refund and still the request is in process.
Desired outcome: I want the full mount to be refunded to me.

I am writing to explain a situation with the agent Flightnetwork, it happened last December 2022, when I booked a ticket to Tukey. Unfortunately, there was a misspelling mistake in one of the passenger names. I contact the agency immediately to refer about it, and they ask for a penalty of 61 AUD for it.
The company responded that the correction could be done on the check in day; however, I spoke with the duty manager from the city of departure to arrange the correction before the departing in order to avoid any inconvenient. She could not make the name change due for a blockage on the system, the company was advised about it, but they never answer! The passenger did booked another fly to ensure he could fight as the business never made anything to provide a new corrected ticked.
Finally, flightnetwork refund 61 AUD, but never did nothing about the name change as we proved it when check in. The receptionist realized that the blockage on system was still. Please see the pic.
I would like to get the company to provide credit or refund for that ticket as we diligently provide information and communicated on time to arrange a solution, but the company response never arrived on time, and the passenger had to book another ticket, which was doble price. Despite the fact we bought an non-refundable ticket, the company never had the disposition to help even when they charged 61AUD and committed to modificate the name.
I am provident tickets and photos evidence of my case.

What a stuff up!
On 19th December, when we arrived in LAX only to find there was no such flight to Calgary.
I refer to your travel document-
No flight UA8688 LAX to Calgary, operated by UA or AC. We were told to find our own way from LAX.
Finally managed a UA flight to Calgary via Denver.
This arrived very late at Calgary, so we had to find accommodation as we had missed our shuttle to Banff where we had booked accommodation.
Late book in at Wyndham Gardens hotel, cost $183.65.
Next day to our booked accommodation Banff, had to pay for night we missed.
Same problem on return flight. 31st Jan.
No UA 8060 Calgary to SFO.
we had to find our own way from Calgary to Vancouver to SFO.
This whole problem should not have arisen if you had done your job properly in the first place.
My wife and I are in our 80s, and suffered badly from the mental anguish over this muck up, it made us quite sick, being stranded in the USA.
This first contact to you is to ask for a refund of our airfare paid to you, and for reimbursement of $183.65 for the unnecessary hotel cost on 19th Dec in Calgary.
Clearly the fault is in your choice of travel arrangements for us.

Terrible company - total scammers!
I stupidly bought a flight to Europe through the flight network before checking the terrible reviews this company has - and even paid extra for the ability to change the flight.
My scheduled flight is now a day away and I've been calling Flight Network for the past month to try to change it!
Yesterday was the worst as I tried over 5 times to change the flight and every time I did - they said their system was down or one time they even lied and said the Turkish Airlines system was down - mind you, in that same moment, I was using it to change my departure flight which I booked directly through the site.
Then they promised that a manager was going to call me two hours after my last call to issue a refund and it's now been over 24 hours. I'm on the phone again with them and they've transferred my call 4 times already - one person said my flight was cancelled - which it wasn't - then he claimed his system was down so then he switched the call to someone else who has now been "checking my details" for the last hour and a half.
This company is a total scam and full of scam artists who are extremely unhelpful and derogatory.
No one should have to deal with this level of stress and incompetence, especially for paying extra to have a flexible flight.
I'm sharing this in hopes the next person can be warned.

today I received email from flight network for compensation of 600 euros. this amount is not even near to to cost of my return flight with air Mauritius and other expenses. your travel agent representative told me to contact you directly.
I am extremley unhappy and frustrated. your agency does not provide support. Lufthansa tells me to contact flight network, you have no ways to be contacted, except email. and I feel to take legal action if no support received from your company.

I've never had to right a review like this in over 40 years of flying, FN thanks for the worst 3 months of my life, on booking flights for a dream holiday.
Read on if your interested in details, I only booked as I wanted internal flights to be connected to international flights, this is for a family of 4.
There should be a option for Zero for customer service (CS).
Over the last 3 months its been a living hell to try to deal with FN CS, We have booked a safari and Christmas in CPT and all the other trimmings (hotels, car hire, adventure sports, hotels) in South Africa, then FN cancelled our return flight for JHB to AUH, still no seat from FN months later, then 3 months after 10 emails and more + hours on the phone (to India where the CS is based), 3 weeks from flight date, offered a 30 hr flight in stead of a 8 hr flight, we didn't agree to this change. We contacted to the Etihad who the flights were booked with, they said they have seat available, told FN contact Etihad and book the available tickets, Etihad themselves contacted FN through the higher authority, still no answer, so we booked return tickets directly with Emirates form CPT to DXB, we'll taxi to Abu Dhabi what to do, now 2 weeks before the flight to SA they want to cancel the flights to SA, crazy crazy crazy, So through the whole process they haven't read the emails correctly, we have never said cancel or even refund a flight, they seem to do what they like, so we went back to Etihad, who see the tickets are still booked, and have again contacted FN through their direct channels, higher authority not to cancel the flights.
Never book with this company they seem not have enough employees, and go so far to say not yet competent employees to sort out problems, maybe their ok if you don't have a problem or cancelled fight.
My wife and kids are so stressed, no amount of cost saving will make this right, as for the refund in form of FN, that's just another painful experience you just don't need.

This has been a very disappointing experience for me so far. Flightnetwork has been the worst 3rd party to organize the flight tickets to and fro. I have been calling everyday for the past 2 weeks now - first because of innumerable times that my flight timings were changed and then to follow up on the confirmation for the date request change, and finally after to follow up on my refund. Every time, I was promised by the caller that my request will be processed within the next 24 hours but to no avail.
After a week of harassment over the calls and no responses from Flightnetwork, My ticket was cancelled just days before my scheduled date of flight without any notice, discussion and reason. I was not even provided any alternatives for the same. When I called about it, I was informed that I had to personally call the airlines and sort it through them. Then why am I booking through Flightnetwork and paying them?
This has been pure harassment and loss of my money because I had to book a fresh ticket at a much higher price instantly, from a much more reliable agency. With un-professionalism at its height, I really wouldn't recommend anyone to use any kind of services from Flightnetwork.
Desired outcome: Complete refund and ideally compensation for all the harassment.
My flight is not confirmed and money got debted
I have booked the Easy Jet flight to and fro from Glagow to London on 9th Nov. I got the order confirmation number LW54MT from Flight network and money got debited.
But i didn't received booking confirmation till now i.e., 11th Nov and my booked flight on 12th Nov morning. I tried to reach out Flight network customer care, but they did not provide any concrete solution or timing when i will get update.
Due to this, i loss lot of time, money, my trip plan to London and i could not be able to plan alternative also due to their irresponsible response.
Need immediate attention and help to get either flight confirmed booking or the money back which got paid for flight booking.
Desired outcome: Make sure to not play with any ones time, money and their plan. This spoiled my 3 days of plan, time and money. I need either flight booking, hotel booking or else my paid money back with penalties.
Booked Flights
Flight Network called the airlines we booked with and told them that my mother in law didn't want to fly anymore. The airlines have a no cancellation, no refund policy. We made it clear we do not want to cancel if there is no refund. Worst thing is that they cancelled our flights behind our backs and did not even notify us of what happened. Flight Network is refusing us 2 things: a flight that we paid for (credit), OR a full refund. Can you believe that we paid this company and didn't get anything for it and now our money is gone. At least rebook us a flight or give us a credit... OR just give our money back. It was not our fault, whether it's flight network's fault or the airline's fault. They have to work it out, but they won't.
Desired outcome: Give us our money back or give us new flights or a flight network travel credit.
