Medicare advantage
i actually have had reasonable good service from the company but they have a hard to use web site, keeps recycling back to log in and in past messages sent via there message page often gets ignored. i am very versed in computers and websites and find proper info hard to find, often i shut off and call
i do think there eyeglass benefit my dr accepts the medical part but not the eyeglass but the last glasses i went to there recommended optician they had big window ad 2 pair for price. but no i could not get that deal, extra for metal frame not designer, extra for progressive, and several other extras
with the allowance it was higher than sams club plus and i got it in my city
why cant i just send receipt in for reimbursement

Monday morning I called in to find out why my payment was not posted to my account and I had no insurance. I had been told that I was within the grace period and the prior rep collected five months of insurance payments from me, yet i had no coverage those months. This jerk continued to tell me that had i paid my plan on time it would not have been an issue. It also would not have been an issue if the payment was not collected when it was not going to be applied. Four times I requested his supervisor, he denied and said he could help me and i could oay more moeny for covereage to be affective nov 1. i declined multiple times - since there are not five months left this year a refund was always due yet he declined it because i was not okay with the new application of my prior payment. I could have had that money in my account for the last two months, but have not, and I also now have to wait another three more weeks because he was vindicitve and a jerk. he refused to let me speak to anyone else, he abused his rights and he tied up my refund. I then had to go to a local office to discuss with someone else, who could have issued a refund faster if he was not such and egostical [censored]. i was not provided the service i paid for so there should be no delay in my refund at all. it should be given as fast as it was taken.
an error was made by not me, yet he deemed it necessary to punish me. i was behind, and I then paid in advance. Maybe he should learn to treat people with dignity and respect if he is going to work in this field that is disgusting for him to put my financial situation that he knows nothing of as the issue - when the issue was improper policy followed and relayed information. i will be speaking to an attorney due to the affects this call has had on me and the fact that he had access to my records and tried to intimidate me and force me to a conclusion i was not okay with.

Displaced hurricane victim
I have continually called for almost 3 weeks needing my Dexcom G6 supplies. I have called FLorida Blue, Care Centrix & US Meds to requests my needed supplies. With multiple reasons given of why there is a hold up. Telling me it’s an issue on their end, it’s held up in billing & other times say it’s going out tomorrow! And even gave me a tracking that only shows a label was created! No one knows WHAT they’re doing in these companies attached to Florida Blue let alone Florida Blue! I have asked to speak with someone else then they tell me the higher up people are busy in a meeting. I ask for a name of someone only for them to say we have to give them YOUR information (which they ask a dozen times for in 1 conversation) & they will call you back. Never have they called me back- still waiting!

So much for helping people who can’t get to their supplies because of Hurricane Ian, you have created another storm I’m dealing with now daily trying to get supplies that SHOULD be sent! And MY DEDUCTIBLE HAS BEEN MET!

I am a provider and as I read all these complaints, it looks like Florida Blue is just carelessly violating all type of customer service support. From the patient to the providers. I know now the they are purposely no answering calls and hanging up on you, transferring call to non-medical experience reps overseas and BCBS of FL is just a ENRON waiting to happen. This giant is going to burst any moment on how bad things are becoming. I highly suggest you all start looking for a new healthcare insurance. You will be out of luck!
Desired outcome: I would like for call to be answered for when providers call to push back a claim that was denied incorrectly and expedite things faster.

Charged for canceled policy
My brother was enrolled threw the market place, we never renewed his policy or the market place coverage. I woke up to $877.00 missing out of my checking account cause they charged for the whole premium. That was on July 2,2022 and here we are Aug 22,2022 and I still have not received the money back in my account like they have promised. We call on a daily basis to be transferred tortured and hung up on multiple times.

Florida dental hmo
I applied for dental insurance and the premium was deducted from my bank account. I received a letter from Florida Combined life of Roswell, GA. dated August 6, 2022 claiming there was an issue. So I called and was transferred around FOR OVER TWO HOURS, one employee that helped me and deserves commendation is Karina Atkinson of the UK in the sales department; I welcome you to pull all the tapes of calls made on that date by me; it ought to be used as an example of how NOT to manage an issue; it was chaos and the incompetence of the data entry employee is EPIC! The personnel I dealt with wereDanielle Richards, Samantha, Fabian, Katie, Michelle, Krystal, AsIa Suganvhiran, and Seldia,Carlos, during the course of this debacle, Samantha the supervisor admitted that the data entry was “human error” in billing

Trying to get help with member services
Three days ago I called trying to ask about my Services that I pay for including Over-the-Counter Allowance. I spoke to three or four individuals and they informed me that a supervisor would be calling me within 24 to 48 hours. It never happened. Today 7/22/2022 I called again and spoke to eight individuals and no one seems to know what to do. When I spoke to the Nation OTC person she said that I wasn't registered. Then she hung up on me. I called numerous times and was finally able to get through someone that assisted me from the OTC and she explained that they need to email me a catalog. All of this took a total of seven hours to solve. I had additional questions regarding other matters and I simply ran out of time. Customer service representative - via chat
I am extremely disappointed in the communication I received via chat. I feel that the agent handled my issue in an indelicate manor.
My husband is currently hospitalized and my job is the only source of income for our family at this time. I contacted the chat to inquire about my co-payment for imaging, as I am scheduled for an up-coming surgery. The agent Carlos did not help to find solutions to my questions and provided flat answers without explanation. My concern was that my co-payment for imaging services was costly. He did not break down why my co-payment was so high. He also made a crude comment that it was better than having to pay a deductible and co-insurance as if to say I shouldn't be complaining about the cost.
I have a lot going on and would hope that the customer service department for my medical coverage could help explain my benefits or find solutions to my concerns not ridicule me via chat.
Desired outcome: To provide training for the customer service team that teaches empathy and solution based responses.
Better you rewards debit card
Consumers are being provided with reward debit cards with misleading information, where the printing of the card clearly states "FUNDS DO NOT EXPIRE;" however, there is an expiration date on the card. Unfairly, after the expiration date, funds on the card DO expire.
Desired outcome: PLEASE REMOVE THE MISLEADING INFORMATION PRINTED ON THE CARDS. THANK YOU.
Gallbladder surgery anesthesia
Date of Service 4/7-4/12/22
After my surgery I was given Dilaudid for pain. I was overdosed with this and Narcam was given to reverse the effect. Shortly after the nurse gave me pills to swallow while I was laying flat. While trying to take these I choked and aspirated my lungs giving me pneumonia. I was in the hospital for five days on antibiotics, breathing treatments and oxygen. I came home after 5 days still needing oxygen to breath. That lasted approximately two weeks before I could breath without it.
I do not feel that Florida Blue, or I in the way of deductibles, should have to pay for their mistake.

Desired outcome: I would like to see this not happen to anyone else. I feel appropriate action should be taken.
Billing
I was billed 2x for January 2022. I went thru Florida Blue Sales department to renew my plan for 2022. Because I was now eligible for a subsidy, they changed my ID# but didn’t tell me. The sales agent forgot to cancel my old ID#, so I was billed and automatically renewed under my old policy, as well as for the new policy. When I realized this I contacted them immediately and cancelled my old policy. Florida Blue is saying because a claim was made against my old policy, they can not refund me for the 12 day overlap. I am out $750.
Desired outcome: Would like the double billed amount of $750 refunded to me.
FL blue select health insurance
This company has dropped the ball repeatedly on a PREAPPROVED BY THEM claim where I had to pay directly and submit for reimbursement. A package of documentation and claim formed was mailed to them 5 months ago to no avail. A follow up letter was sent about 2.5 months ago, again to no avail. I inquired by phone a couple of times to no avail. Our insurance agent had to intervene over a month ago and someone at least responded to them and asked for a couple of pieces of information which we promptly provided. Then, we just now get an email saying we need to refile the whole claim form over some bureaucratic BS that is trivial and not material to proving what was paid for, and which should have been conveyed to us over 5 months ago. I could never recommend anyone use Florida Blue for their insurance based on this experience. I've dealt with many insurance companies over the years, but this one is the worst.
Desired outcome: Reimburse the claim immediately for which you have very good documentation for support.

ACA billing for rejected policy
Last January I got insurance thru my full time employer, I received a bill for my ACA polocy that was automatically renewed. I immediately called BCBS and spoke to someone who acknologed my refusal because I was already insured at work, he stated call back if you receive another bill. One would assume the situation was taken care of. I did my taxes this year and was rejected because I had a 1095-A form! Despite my possesion of a 1095-c! I now owe for the month the advance I did not want. Today (4/9/22) I was told what I Should have done, not that that matters at all. I am now having to contest this thru the Marketplace (oddly stated they were informed cancelation date was march 1st — my 1095 is for 1 month, and I was never billed or sent a late notice for the premium itself) I am in league with Al Capone if I don't pay my taxes, and I hear the possibility of getting an amended form is rare and not likely. I would hope in this year of Computer problems, short staffed and sometimes inept help that Florida Blue simply made an error. However since the deed is done, and the amount is $955 I hold no hope at all that Florida Blue will rectify the situation. I feel victimized by the same people whom helped me in the past, and I am getting ready to to contact Rep. Daniels because I feel if not recognized as a mistake perhaps this may be a regular regular course of action by FB /BCBS. Had I done this intentionally I would deserve the loss. I did nothing wrong and now I have to contact the Marketplace to try and see if I can undo this damage, I really pray they will amend. I thank Florida Blue for many years of great service I hope thier actions restore my faith in them.
Desired outcome: Amend my 1095-a and rescind an unused and unwanted polocy.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida
BCBSFL has not paid a claim for over 2.5 years to a provider that electronically filed the claim 7 days after services rendered. Provider has followed up many times to get claim paid. BCBSFL said that provider never submitted EOB in timely manner (which they did in fact submit). BCBSFL admitted on several occasions that they were at fault. They still have not paid the provider $1253.37. Provider is sending me bills that are supposed to be covered now. Provider's billing services have been extremely accommodating to get issue resolved.
Services rendered 7/31/2019, EOB sent 8/6/2019. Amount: $1253.37.
Desired outcome: Fighting now with BCBSFL as they claim that they do not have an EOB! What????
My health coverage
Absolutely the worse company I have ever had to deal with, I have had insurance through the mp with fb, and for going into the 3rd month I cannot get health care due to fb mistakes and taking pretty much the full 30 days to fix them, the issue is every time I think we have resolved the issue another one happens, my dr got pre-authorization before I come to my appointments, then they didn't pay, leaving me with a very high bill and my dr not seeing me until paid, I have been waiting to have a procedure done for over 3 months now that is necessary, so after hours and days and even weeks fb finally fixed my insurance for dec. And paid claims for dec. So I thought, I tried to schedule with my dr. To finally get the procedure done and find out they paid all of my bills in dec. But one, they paid for the labs and other procedures the dr. Did but did not pay the dr... For the same visit... And I am covered, they made a mistake and say they will submit the claim again, but it may be 30 more days so now not only have I paid my monthly deductible for 3 months for nothing, I still cannot see my dr. The worse is every time I call, I get a different response or a promise to resolve, and it's just a cs rep. Just wanting to get off the phone. This is not ethical how this insurance company does members, my plan has been changed without my knowledge and mp says fb does it vice versa. I will be filing a complaint with my state office of insurance, treating people like they are ignorant just because they get subsidy, or giving them less care or making them be denied health care is not the way this is supposed to work.
Desired outcome: I just want to get my medical care I need when I have health coverage for that purpose.
Rewards program
I earned $500 in rewards that I was told could apply to my future premiums. Then Florida Blue changed the plan type so that I had to create a new account to begin using the new plan. They changed the name of the plan and the way it was understood in the system. Then they told me that my $500 could not be applied to my new account! They said it could only be used on the original account which now no longer exists. This is absurd.
Health insurance
The Florida Blue temporary plans (6 mths) are a scam. You can pay 350+ per month and they cover virtually nothing. Disputed the bills I recieved month later and never got a response. The local office at River City Marketplace in Jacksonville Fl offered nothing but lip service. Probably not their fault since since the reviews all line up with zeros (1). This company has no intention of covering visits and wants to walk with your money and make you pay the full amount to the visits. Everyone that I know that has Florida Blue says the same. DONT trust that you have any coverage when you sign with them. Just got an 11k bill from Mayo and 8k from Baptist... now I have figure out what this is at the end of the year. People that work for FBlue are saying they are even scamming them. My new FL Blue PPO marketplace ins starts Jan 1 '22 but I'm already getting letters that smell like a rat. Reviews on this product are zero too.
Desired outcome: My expectations have diminished.
Dental online account not accessible
Each month I go through this, I cannot log on to make my payment. I do not always have time to make a phone call to pay, that is outdated and antiquated. Why don't your online platforms work? I am now searching for new coverage, because you obviously do not value your dental patients.
