While replacing a stabilizer jack last year, after it got damaged while towing, I was getting mild shocks in my hands as I laid on the ground to remove the support bolts. At that time, I decided to replace both the front stabilizer jacks to maintain consistency. Also, I didn't think much of the issue, and may have mentioned to the Dealership. Then I decided to replace the back stabilizer jacks to have the same jacks all the way around. Now, because it cost $100+ for two jacks, and to have the Dealership install them, that was another $200/hr. The replacement was simple, remove the supporting bolts, remove the old jack, install the new jack and bolt into place. Something my kids could have done.
The first jack was damaged on Sept. 4th while I was retrieving the camper for the Lake that my wife and daughter were using. Shortly afterwards, I purchased the new jacks in got them installed, so we would be ready to go camping in a couple of weeks.
Since then, I have had an awning installed over the slide out, an electric jack for the hitch and a Blue Ox Sway Bar. All of this was completed by the Dealership. It was during this time, that I mentioned the shocking incident, but the Dealership didn't make a big deal of it, so I wasn't concerned.
At that time, I purchased the second pair of stabilizer jacks so I would be ready to install. This last week, I installed the last two jacks, and was continually shocked while removing and installing the jacks.
I called the Dealership, and they informed me that this wasn't a good issue and should be fixed prior to using the camper again. As someone could be seriously hurt from being shocked.
When I contacted the Manufacturer, that advised that they are unable to participate in the repair, because I changed my own stabilizer jacks. If I had the Dealership replace the Stabilizer Jacks, would they have had the same issue, I am guessing that they wouldn't have plugged the camper in just to perform outside repairs. Then the issue would never have been discovered until someone got shocked and maybe seriously injured.
Desired outcome: Fix the issue under warranty and determined the root cause. Or takes the camper back and refund money paid and I will go find a different reliable camper.
2023 Greywolf 29TE
Purchased 2023 Forest River Greywolf 29TE brand new. Took it camping once and entire camper flooded, underbelly busted loose bc of filling with water, black tank hookup leaked, shower wall coming away from the wall, and flooring already coming up. Returned to dealer to exchange and was denied by Forest River stating they had the right to repair first. After service department looked at camper they stated PTrap was busted (from 60 pound child taking a shower) causing the flooding. Forest River approved basic repairs according to warranty and denied larger repairs we believe are warranted. I basically now own a $40k piece of [censored] of wheels that I can’t trust to take camping or even last half the term of my loan. Add insult to injury the value of my product has now greatly diminished due to repairs required that will forever be attached to this serial number! Couldn’t even last ONE CAMPING TRIP!
Desired outcome: Exchange of new camper that can be proven to be reliable or refund of diminished value.

Desired outcome: response, i feel there is some kind of defect, nothing altered from factory installed, looking for forest river to investigate the problem before a life is lost or hurt, looking to be reimbursed for the damages due to your defect
Wildwood forest River motor
Motor is not under warranty anymore however, after having issues with the slide outs not coming in we had a mechanic
come out and take a look. Original parts still in. When the mechanic removed the motor he noticed when a screw was forced through one of the sides (see picture for reference). And stated this would have happened sooner or later with use because of the screw all the wiring inside was getting twisted. Now, have to buy the part and have the mechanic come back out to install something that may have lasted.
Desired outcome: Part replacement
Stabilizer jack motor not working
I just bought a Forest River 2018 Fifth Wheel trailer which was brand new "old stock" at Tourist RV in Port Hop, Ontario, Canada in May of 2023 and we have been given the runaround on warranty claims since we bought it. Since we picked it up, the rear stabilizer electric jack has never worked and they say the motor warranty is still pending which I do not understand because I should have at least a 1 year manufactures warranty on the entire trailer since I bought it in May 2023?
Shower valve leaking behind wall.
Bought 2021 coachman Catalina brand new June 10 2021. Have had in shop 4 times for leak behind shower wall. First time in July of 2021 they found no issues and charged me for shop time. 2nd time late in 2021. Took video & showed them where it was leaking. They said it was fixed this time. Third time in July of 22 took in for same issue and they pulled out shower back wall & said it was fixed again. This year we took it out in late May and found it leaking again from same area. Took it in 2nd week of July again for same issue. This time I got an invoice for $280.00 and they listed the shower curtain as possible problem for water leaking from behind shower. 4 times in for the same issue. [censored] excuses and incompetent techs. Wish we had never bought this piece of garbage. Have video but it will not let me attach it.
Desired outcome: Fix problem correctly and don't charge for incompetent techs doin shoddy diagnostics and repairs.

Lack of craftsmanship piping
Hello Forest River, we purchased a new 2021 Cherokee Black Label in Calgary, Alberta Canada (while living there), it was our second Forest River RV and we were pleased with our purchase until we began seeing the corners cut and lack of attention to detail and lack of quality mechanisms. Fixing things in this RV has been nothing short of frustrating on a new investment that was to bring joy to our family. We began having water issues off and on a year into the purchase, so we purchased a new and upgraded water pump and aerator thinking that would help ($700). That did and didn't work as the cold water at times was still off and on until one day we had no cold water to use. What we never expected was to find one attention to detail that led to us spending $460 to only find out the cold water line install was placed between the subfloor and the frame of the RV resulting in a crushed water line and no cold water. The water line should never have been placed between the subfloor bracing and steel frame, how did this even pass inspection by Forest River? and if it did how could Forest River stand behind knowing this line would sooner or later be crushed. We are getting ready to upgrade our RV to a 5th wheel and loved the higher end of Forest River, however with the lack of craftsmanship and attention to detail how could we even venture into spending in upwards of $175,000 on a brand we had nothing...I mean nothing but issues with. This was a true manufacturer defect and we are seeking reimbursement of the water line replacement completed by RV Specialists in Fort Worth, Texas.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of the water line, as sadly we have invested so much in replacing parts, mechanisms etc. we feel this is the least Forest River could do.
Manufactures defects
Purchased RV sunseeker Forest River 2022
Our complaints (1) Light on stairway goes on and stays on . (2) Driving mirror on drivers side kept coming unloose . (3) Window by bench opens while driving even though closed properly. (4) Bathroom sink faucet spewed water everywhere seam down side of faucet leaks . (5) Light fixture on ceiling leaks water . (6) shower down side of left side leaks from roof
(7) Leaks from sunlight roof all over table & bench . (8) Along seam by ceiling molding falling off & paper covering off as well . (9) Leaking from both pullouts water everywhere . To say that I am mortified spending this kind of money on something that new just blows my mind.
Because of pandemic had a hard time getting someone to help .
We still have all these problems with our RV . We are totally disappointed in the making of this brand new RV that we purchased.
Desired outcome: Would like to see all the mistakes manufacturers made on this RV FIXED So that we can enjoy our vacations home away from home . A response back . Should not have outer pocket expense since this is manufactured faults .
Customer service for sandpiper destination
I wanted to inquire about the location of the ice maker water line connection for the supply of water to the ice maker. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information regarding this. I was informed that the water shut-off is located under the slide, which is partially true, as it only shuts off the water from that valve to the refrigerator. However, it leaves the main water hose exposed to freezing. I discussed this matter with Stacy O'Hear, and she suggested putting antifreeze in the line. However, that solution won't solve my problem since I live in the trailer year-round. I would like to completely shut off the water supply to the refrigerator. Could you please provide information on the location of the shut-off valve? It seems rather unwise to have a water line exposed to winter weather. It appears that you must have mild weather where you are located.
Desired outcome: PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE THE SHUT OFF OR WHERE THE LINE IS CONNECTED
22 wildwood lodge
Our new 22 wildwood lodge has faulty wiring. Has a soft spot in the floor. The stove is bent. The tub does not drain even with camper level. The GFCI outlets were not grounded and blew out the fridge, fireplace, the inverter, half the outlets blowing small appliances and a xbox.
The warranty department is not returning our calls or emails.
We are beginning legal matters now and hope everyone reads this before buying anything from Forest river
Desired outcome: Take responsibility and live up to their so called warranty. I'm not looking for a huge payday. Just what I paid.
xlr micro boost 27lrle/ campers inn rv - jacksonville
Elderly, 100% Disabled, Military (retired) Veteran. Purchased “New” (Forest River) XLR MICRO BOOST 27LRLE toy hauler from Campers Inn RV (10626 General Ave) via Luis Ramos- on daughter’s behalf (for home).
It was financed/insured/purchased +additional warranty as NEW on 4/19/23. As a condition of the sale and prior to signing the contract -mandated replacement tow coupler/ 2 stabilizer jacks.
Delivery 4/29/23: NEW-major damages , mandated replacements-not replaced, but covered by paint. We, immediately contacted dealership and customer care/HQ with details of: extensive structural and cosmetic damage(s) including (undisclosed) mandatory safety recalls . The first week we had an electric fire caused by one of the safety recalls. The extinguisher had to be used. The fire alarm did not go off- even though the entire camper was filled with blinding smoke. It required removal of appliances by the Saint John’s Fire Department and extinguisher powder filled appliances and coated the interior. There is a massive black mold issue and severe prior flood damage. Previous major damages and repairs: claims/ paid- manufacturer warranty. Sensors, solar panels, hot water system/propane system cracks-gas leaks. The AC has literally cracked and is inoperable. It is unsafe to use appliances and electrical use must be minimal. The roof is completely compromised: rotted/ leaking inside-unit/walls/ ceiling(prior repairs).Missing ventilation. The slide out ripping away from main unit- large holes wit visible daylight (bug infestation). Shower booth is not bolted to unit and is missing/broken seals (previous repair) cracked/rusted/ leaking. It is completely mechanically unsound: axles and connections rusted through. Countless holes have been filled with foam and are now dry, brittle and falling out. The awning itself and the support arms have both been recalled: unstable/unsecured/safety risk, materials : dry rot/ holes/fraying. Front entry door cannot be secured properly.
We have contacted: Sales, service and management on every issue- multiple times (*with details, images, videos).
Austin, a service technician, visited my property for close to 8 hours. Images were taken and over 3 pages of hand written notes were was made to transcribe into a work order. We did not see documentation and were not asked to sign anything. No further action was taken other than by us initiating communication and requesting any follow up information to be provided.
GM, KEN, continues to claim that unit is new and there are NO LAWS REQUIRING THEM TO DISCLOSE DAMAGE OR REPAIRS made prior to our purchase date.
Support staff and Management have gone out of their way to be unavailable- we are placed on eternal hold, calls are dropped, messages are never returned and staff is either off or in training! Weeks have past…Ken is now stating that warranty has given approval for SOME of the damages to be fixed. The others were denied because they had already paid claims prior.
We contacted the HQ customer care. Ken the GM has made devious attempts to contact different members of our family to tell us to stop, tried to contact us on speaker phone and force us into saying phrases that would release him of liability. Ken was unsuccessful in this attempt and began to lash out verbally in a violent manner. We chose to end the phone conversation.
The episode was immediately reported to his HQ and their only response is that they will document.
We were sold a NEW toy hauler and our only expectation is what was purchased/financed and insured as a NEW/ UNUSED- under contract…not a damaged unit- in need of an absolute and complete rebuild. This company has put my life in critical danger and continues to do so- sadly without any remorse.
The GM has been indignant, condescending, arrogant, dishonest, hostile and horribly rude. There are countless YELP and Google reports that mirror mine. The target sales demographic mainly consists of elderly individuals- those individuals who will not challenge such aggressive behavior! This in itself is a crime.
I specifically asked for my unit to be exchanged for one of the exact year, make and model: new, unused, undamaged, free of mandatory safety and manufacturer recalls… and simply didn’t put my life at risk by living in it. I have been laughed at and told that our unit was still new- even with past/current damages. This has been expressed to the dealer, manufacturer and to Campers INN RV HQ.
To date- We have been patient and diligent in our attempts to resolve this matter, however- the Ken , the General Manager of Campers Inn RV- Jacksonville/ West, remains steadfast in his commitment to be fraudulent, scam and lie to us.
Desired outcome: exchanged for one of the exact year, make and model: new, unused, undamaged, free of mandatory safety and manufacturer recalls… and simply didn’t put my life at risk by living in it.
Major manufacturing problems with our 2022 Salem RV
Purchased a 2022 Salem RBS Model #167 RBK on November 29, 2021.
Topok the rv out for the 1st time on April 6, 2022. We had to take it back to the dealer (Camperworld) for several problems.
1. Courtesy inspection-repaired some cracks on roof with dicor-bad job of patching.
2. Black tank flush connection not taking water-hose pinned between floor and frame poor fit and finish. Fixed
3. Bathroom sliding door snap defective - poor fit and finish still not fixed (5/2023).
4. Water pump leaked into pantry and kitchen - loose fitting on water pump - poor fit and finish - was fixed.
Dozens of staples/nail holes unfilled or not cleaned off-poor fit and finish. Still not fixed
5. Trim on slide-out facia and other sections of trim coming loose-poor fit and finish-not fixed
6.ac vent in bathroom inoperable-product defect-fixed
7. Shower door not sealed correctly-poor fit and finish
8. Kitchen exhaust vent cover blew off-poor fit and finish-fixed
9. Awning lights not working-wire shorted out-poor fit and finish. Fixed
10. Bathroom sink faucet lines were reversed. poor fit and finish fixed
11. Several leaks due to fittings not being tightened at factory. poor fit and finish Fixed
October 14, 2022 took unit back to Camperworld. Had to cut our camping short due to problems.
1. Water leaking between bathroom wall and slide out. Several screw on bottom of shower were not sealed, also gap around shower faucet. Poor fit and finish Fixed
2. Entry door and screen door are very hard to open and close - door needs to be replaced but has not been done. Poor fit and finish
3 Front ODS slide-out seal is ripped and pulled away from column. Gapping - partially completed-poor fit and finish
4. Slide-out has been poorly installed and has not been repaired correctly.
5. Trim by fridge split and pulled away. not fixed. poor fit and finish
6. TV atenna not hooked up. Fixed Poor fit and finish
Did not get our unit back until February 6, 2023
The unit is suppose to go to Elkhart Ind. to get new siding put on the slide out which is not a problem for us. The problem is the slide out is not properly installed and we are afraid it will have major problems in the future.
May 8, 2022 went out camping again. This time the kitchen sink came loose and was hanging down. Also the bedroom ceiling has a droop in it.
We are paying on this unit but no longer abel to use it. Camping World and Forest River have been notified about all of the above but nothing has been done to solve the problems.
Desired outcome: We would like to either have this unit fixed to our satisfaction in the next month or give us a replacement.
Sabre 36BHQ
Purchased the camper January of 2022 at Gander Rv in Arkansas got home to discover that the sofa was peeling.
March [protected]
Shower leaked from around the metal frame. So we had to use the bath house because it leaked everywhere everytime we used the shower.
After we got home from our camping trip my husband took the frame out to discover there was no silicone or caulk.
Also discovered water leak in the closet coming from the W/D hookup. We do not have a washer dryer installed it was just leaking from the hookup point.
May [protected]
Shower was leaking again but not from the same area it was leaking from the drain this time. The water was going into the storage area come to find out the drain was broken. Had to use the bath houses onced again because no where to get parts to fix it until we got home.
June 16-21
Water was pouring from under the camper. The entire underbelly was full of water. We were hooked up to City water but come to find out it was the fresh water tank that was overfilling that caused the flood.
And we were not even hooked to fresh water
Called Camping world they said they would call me back with an appointment. They never did. Also the same time that the recall was issued for gas line. They said parts were on back order they would call me with an appointment for the gas line and water issue but never did.
July 1-31
Hooked up to city water and stayed watching the fresh water tank to assure it would not overfill. And turned the water off when we were gone as we drove back and forth to pass Christian Ms on the weekends where we had set up camp.
Refrigerator slide piece came off. Closet door railing came off.
October 28-31
We were hooked to city water and fresh water tank overfilled again. Exhaust fan stopped working in bathroom.
Called camping world they said it would be January before they could get us in.
Nov [protected]
Hooked to city water fresh water tank over filled again. Refrigerator slide had issues going in and out.
Called camping world made an appointment for Jan 16 to bring it in.
Jan 16 dropped the camper off told them of all the problems. Picked up the camper April 7 none of the issues had been resolved. We chose to have the have the warranty claim moved to a different camping world. We chose biloxi Ms took the camper and went over all the issues. They have called back on May 16 saying the kitchen slide needs a new floor cost approximately $3800. Saying that we are outside the warranty window. But all the issues were reported within the warranty window.
This unit was bought brand new off the dealership lot and has been a nightmare and nothing but problems.
Desired outcome: Refund on the unit.
2022 xlr boost 5th wheel
We bought our 5th wheel (3rd forest river trailer) brand new in 2022 and have had nothing but problems. It has been to the dealership 4 times and back to Indiana from Idaho once for over 2 months. The trailer was promised back April 5th because of previously booked obligations but arrived May 2nd. Most of the items were fixed but the trailer will never be the same as it came from the factory and will always have issues. It also has 3 grey water drains plumbed into a black tank! This was not addressed at the factory and I was basically told deal with it. I have already filed a complaint with BBB and will be contacting the attorney general for Idaho about Lemon law (trailer meets all criteria). I offered 2 suggestions which were both denied so this is where I’m at. I will also be ruining as much business for your company as I can.
This was easily resolved but
Desired outcome: My recommendation is a 20k pay out to cover the 7k in payments we have made just this time that we haven’t been able to use it, 7k cost of an incinerator toilet that doesn’t need a holding tank.
Rockwood 2509s
I will try to sum this up in as few words as possible although it could go on a long time with all the issues we have had... We purchased our BRAND NEW Rockwood 2509s in February of 2021.. (and yes I realize the warranty is up (although we didn't even have it in our possession for half the warranty due to repairs that by the way were not even complete 6 months later when we picked it up)... It was delivered in June 2021 with a faulty grey tank which had to be replaced prior to us even picking camper up (costing us time and money on planned camping trip that had to be cancelled) then on our first camping trip our grey tank had leaked into the underbelly of the camper because the pipes used to install were too short and had come undone... we are STILL having this same issue - ANOTHER leak from short pipes on our first trip this season - again, clearly the pipes are visibly not long enough to connect to tank! This time the dirty kitchen water leaked over the tops of the tanks into insulation and now there is water and food particles everywhere - the pipes used at manufacturing are visibly not long enough to even reach into the tank - the manufacturer certainly new this was not correct but shipped it out anyway THEN the dealership installed a new tank using the same short pipes causing multiple leaks afterward... Our BRAND NEW camper also had a faulty fridge, broken inverter, trim pieces missing, cup holders missing, a broken door and trim on the entrance door outside, an oven that did not heat up (still doesn't get very hot), an outdoor fridge with broken lettering as if used, multiple nuts/bolts missing in the underside if the slide out PLUS you can see that the other pipes from the sink in the bathroom to grey tank are also barely fit in...In short I would say we got beyond a lemon... a nearly THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLAR LEMON... I have called and sent emails to a contact we had for prior repairs with our concerns but now we don't even get a response... just completely ignored. I guess the company got its money and does not care that we are left to continue to have to deal with the myriad of issues that should not be on what was a BRAND NEW camper - I feel that this was a rushed production made with whatever parts they could find to get it out the door in the COVID flurry of purchases and we got the VERY short end of the stick... these issues came from the manufacturer and we are left to just deal and I think that some responsibility should be taken by the people who sent this off the line. It should never have been given to anyone like this. We researched a LONG time to get a reputable product that would last us and spent a large amount of money to get a quality item but we got shafted and the shame is the company doesn't even care. They can't all go off the line like this or they'd be out of business but they should recognize they rushed this job and it sucks. This has been the worst purchase of our lives - we don't even enjoy camping in it because we know something else will go wrong each time!
Desired outcome: Compensate us for time and money that my husband has had to labor on a BRAND NEW camper and lost trips. This camper should have been a total replacement - nearly 30,000 dollars - it has more wrong than right! Sickening. No pride.
Forest river salem cruise lite 263BHXL
We have been dealing with slide issues since october of 2021 just 4 months after we bought the camper. We took the camper to our nearest dealer before the slide became a huge issue so that we could get it fixed as soon as possible so that no other issue arised. We have been back and forth with the dealer and the slide has never been fixed, it is worse than...
Read full review of Forest RiverAir condition repair under warranty
My name is Thomas McAlone, I purchased a 2022 Forest River Salem Grand Villa, Vin # 4X4TSM825NM030044, from Camping World in New Port Richey Florida, taking possession on June 1, 2022.
I had to hire someone to transport this unit from **New Port Richey to my location at 6310 Bayshore Rd, Site 101 in Palmetto Fl, where it is stationary and has never moved. I live in this Unit full time and have no means of transport to a Camping World for Warranty issues, which are many in this particular Unit.
**NPR CW has sent mobile service a few times without service charge, for obvious defects, such has one of the Grey Tanks falling through the under body while in transport from **NPR CW, because they left the tank full of water resulting in it being too heavy to be supported by the poor construction of the under body. After this time **NPR CW, suggested I call a closer Camping World to my location for Mobile Service to save on the cost of a service charge. I have since used the **Dover Florida Camping World, who charges $150.00 per visit. On March 2, 2023 **DCW responded for warranty issues and was unable to complete any of the repairs, stating they needed to order parts and approval for a bathroom shower issue. I never did hear back from them and called numerous times, leaving messages to return my call.
During this period my back Air conditioner quit working, and as a result I had to hire a local well respected RV repair service, who charged me $163.62 for the repairs, which I request compensation for. (Photos and Invoice attached)
I finally made contact with the service manager at **DCW (Mitch), who stated they were waiting for warranty approval. I advised Mitch of the above and he stated I should contact Forest River for compensation.
In closing I just want to say how disappointed I am with my Camping World and the shotty workmanship of my Forest River RV.
Thank you
Thomas McAlone

Desired outcome: Please provide a phone number or email address, so that I can send you photos of the air conditioner repairs and bill.I don't have an adaptor to transfer them from my phone to computer.
2020 rockwood signature series-travel trailer
1) problems with auto level system from day1, we have only had it auto level itself 2 times. Have to go to manual mode and finish level process that way.
2) Fireplace insert went out after about 1 1/2 years. Dealer said it needs to be replaced
3) Some kind of wiring issues that caused the bedroom slide out to start clattering in the middle of the night. Disconnected power and still making noise, it did not stop until we completely disconnected the 2 batteries at the tongue of the trailer. This problem caused the power board inside the RV to burn up. We had no way of getting the slide outs back in due to this. Had to get a mobile RV guy out to manually force the bedromom slide out back in. The other 2 he was able to bypass their motors by cutting a small hole under the RV on each side and jump starting the motor to be able to slide it in. But the bedroom slide out motor would not respond this way, the motor only hummed. The RV is currently in the shop for this that happened at our campsite 2 weeks ago.
4) Tires all had to be replaced at 2 years old, had a serious blow out a year ago that caused body damage to one side. Our auto insurance policy covered the repairs on this.
We bought this RV in January 2020 from RV Station Nacogdoches TX
Desired outcome: Compensation for repairs that we will incur from slide out motor short a few weeks ago. No estimate yet.New fireplace insert.money we had to spend on ALL new tires.
Wolfpack model #crf365pack16 cherokee 5th wheel toy hauler
2021 Wolfpack 365PACK16 5th Wheel Toy Hauler. The hole point of this trailer is the ability to go camping anywhere with no utility hook up’s and drive your arc’s around. I noticed that my fresh water tank water level went down rapidly when on a camping trip while dry camping with no hook up’s. I’m an experienced RV owner and know how to use my water carefully. When I got home I measured the water level from the fresh water tank drain valve. I measured 30 gallons left in the freshwater tank, the gauge showed 1/3 water before draining. My trailer is supposed to have a 100 gallon freshwater tank. I gained access to the freshwater tank underneath my trailer, I’m a experienced Water Engineer so I measured the freshwater tank and found the size to be 8” deep x 42” wide x 60” long, the tank over flow is 1.5” from top of tank so 8”-1.5” = 6.5” deep, so 0.54’ x 3.5’ x 5’ = 9.45 cubic feet x 7.48 gallons per cubic foot = 70.68 gallons capacity of my freshwater tank almost 30 gallons less then what I should have. So what’s going on here, why did Forest River put a 70 gallon freshwater tank in my 45’ long 5th wheel trailer with two bathrooms that is supposedly designed to camp anywhere with no hook-up’s. Please let me know what you plan to do to resolve this issue. Jim [protected] [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: My trailer needs to have a 100 gallon freshwater water tank installed in my 2021 Wolfpack 365PACK16 5th Wheel Toy Hauler Paid for by Forest River.
