store policy
here is the problem, i purchased a necklace item online and when i opened it the necklace was DEFECTIVE because i was not able to unhook it to put it on. But the problem is that the item was FINAL SALE, i called a few store about the policy in the ny area. i told them that i understand their policy of their FINAL SALE but i also told them the item is DEFECTIVE and they told me that they will not take it back and that i have to ship it back to the company. so, i called customer service and explain about my situation and asked if i could exchange the item in the store and the funny thing is that the rep told me i was able to do so at the store. why is it a problem to exchange the item that is DEFECTIVE and FINAL SALE. On the return policy it never said that i have to return only by mail when the item is DEFECTIVE. warning, if you brought a defective product that is online, depending on your area they will not take it back at the store and you would have to go through a process of shipping it back to the company even if you explain to them that you spoke to customer service about it. they still will not value you as a f21 customer. what is the point of having a customer service? is it to pretend that they are helping you and give high hopes that f21 is their to help you when the store don't want to listen? what sense is that? never purchasing anything from there again.

i totally agree with you. i believe the store manager likes to make up their own rules as they please or pick and choose who they want to help or not.
no no, what i mean to say is that my product is FINAL SALE and it is DEFECTIVE. f21 kept on telling me that they will not take it because it is FINAL SALE which i understand but it was giving to me DFFECTIVE therefore, they are ignoring the part that is DEFECTIVE and telling me to ship it back because it their fault which i dont think it is their fault because the way it was made was not proper.

I am an employee with the Forever 21 company, I showed up for my first shift at Forever 21 today and found myself to be victim of serious harassment. The female manager there was very rude and hostile towards me as soon as I arrived.
I was not told during orientation that my nose piercing, a very small, hardly noticeable stud wasn't allowed - when prompted to take it out, I explained that I was not aware of the rule and agreed to take it out, doing so right then and there.
I also was not informed that my employee ID was provided at the registers, so I had my phone (with my ID in it) with me to clock in because I have not yet memorized it. The manager told me that I wasn't allowed to have it on my person at all. I told her that I wasn't aware that the ID was at the registers and that is the reason that I had it, I agreed to put it away.
When I went to put it away, she sent an employee into the back to walk me out of the store, informing me that I was being sent home.
When I spoke to the manager, she told me that I had to go home because she didn't want me on the sales floor.
I had done everything that she had asked of me, apologizing for not being aware of those two policies since I was not informed prior. She still refused to let me stay because my eyes were watering and she claimed that I was too emotional.
Having recently moved to Oregon, I was not aware that I would have allergies here, thus my eyes were watering. I explained to her that it was because of allergies that my eyes were watering and not that I was being overly emotional.
I expressed to her my frustrations because I was being told to go home for completely unfair reasons. She then proceeded to yell at me, degrading and disrespecting me, in the store in front of customers.
I feel like I was being harassed and treated to very unfair treatment.
I also feel like she was being very unprofessional, losing her temper and saying disrespectful things to me in front of customers. Although, I was keeping a completely calm and professional exterior.
I have worked at Pac Sun, Hot Topic, Urban Vibe, Journeys, Kohl's, and Nordstrom's in the past, along with managing locally owned retail stores, and I have never once seen someone, a manager nonetheless, act so unprofessional. I have never encountered such unacceptable behavior throughout my 6+ years working retail. I have worked in Customer Service during my entire working career as well.
If I had witnessed her behavior as a customer, I would have walked right out of the store.
I have been shopping at Forever 21 for over 4 years and currently only own Forever 21 brand clothing. I have referred many new customers to the store and I have never had anything bad to say about the company. This experience with this manager has made me think twice about my love and passion for Forever 21, a store that I both have a great love and knowledge about.
I feel that this behavior is unfair and unacceptable and I fear that my job may be at stake due to her callous attitude and terrible customer service skills.
I do not feel that she should be in the management position that she is currently in if she handles situations like this so terribly unprofessional. I do not feel that she should be representing the Forever 21 company because she does not make a good representation of the company in any way.
Is there anything that I can do about this?

oh! and by the way i forgot to mention how the store that i workout has being making its numbers and plus since the beginning of the year so there is no excuse to cut hours, but they are hiring new people all the time!
i am completely on your side, i have experience some similar situations, and exact situations from what you have experience. They do not provide a harassment free environment, i am an employee my self by the way, and i have worked for the industry since i was 16 years old, now i am 23; and i have never encounter this extreme conditions, and in my store i am not the only one that has being treated like this, i would like to say that probably 80% of the employees there do not get the proper working rights as well as working environment. My position there is stock, but they also have me doing fitting rooms, and go backs, when that is not on my job description, and they do not pay extra for it, oh! and did i mention if i am not all three jobs the way they want it, they cut your hours, because according to them you are not being productive and your waisting their time, so they don't fired you, but they force you to quit, because is pointless to stay when employees are getting 4 to 10 hours a week, and just to let the readers know, the amount of work in the store is massive just in my position alone, imagine trying to take care of three positions at a time, it is unjust, negligent.

The first incident:One day I went into Forever 21 the Jewlery and accesories store to buy some mini boots my daughter wanted them. Right by the door they had a sign that read " $12.99 for selected boots" so my daughter picked the boots that had the sticker reading $12.99, when it was time to pay for the boots, the young woman at the register removed the sticker and started charging the full amount of $24.99 for the boots, then I inquired that it was suppose to be on sale but she reply that the saled ended 3 days ago and the price on the boots no longer read the discounted price, when I asked to talk to the manager they called a 20 years old girl who all she kept repeating is " the sale ended 3 days ago and we are sorry we just forgot to remove the sign" I told her you put the sign to trick people to come in here to buy your items and then all you have to say is " sorry", do you know that it's illegale to do that in USA and that you should give me the price you are marketing right now?. .. then I said " and your employee her remove the sticker from the boots right infront of me. The young manager did not care not a bit, did not even look at me and I don't even think she knew what I was talking about, but that's what happen when we accept using our money to go buy very low quality merchandise.
Second Incident: 3 days ago I went again in the same store eventough I had a feeling I was going to regret it, I bought a scarf and a neckless, when I went home the neckless was broken and unusuable. Today; after 3 days i went back into the same store to ask to be exchange for a "nonbroken one" I took the one they had hanged and went to the register to ask to exchange it; once again the same young manager was standing there while the young man was telling me " oh no, our jewlery is final sale and we don't eccept returns or exchange" I replied: but this was broken I am not asking for money back or different piece i want the same but a valid one; you can sell me broken stuff take my money and expect me to just eccept your rule of " final sale".. The manager then looked at me repeating the same stuff over and over and she added: we always check the merchandise before selling it to make sure it's valid and good condition." I told her " I don't think so because you can't check the jewlery unless you break the ticket since the piece is taped inside and the ticket is around the piece" She reply to me saying " yes i know that is true but unfortunatly I can't take the piece back because our jewlery is final sale" In a very cold way, they talk to customers as if they are the ones doing us a favore because the merchandise is soooo cheap, but again we take what we buy .

My wife bought a pant in forever 21 on regular price... Not a on sale item. 15 min later, my wife found other pant in h&m, fit her style better and only cost $5 dollars. We decided to return the forever 21 $30 pant, but they say no>why??? Because company policy... What the fxxk... Would not do business again... Go to hell!!!

SO I ordered a set of 30 mixed bangles, looked beautiful on the site. Then I got the items and it was the same bangles but it did not have the main mixed up bangles, hence being a totally different thing from what I ordered. I went on the site and the missing bangles were being sold SEPARATELY as another item on its own.
I called and asked if they would at least send me the other bangles since it would be too much of a hassle sending back bangles and arranging shipping etc and all they could do was refund me the price. Whatever happened to common sense? Why not just send out the mixed bangle set and admit your mistake? So now I'm stuck with these bangles. (mind you, my order was a $380 order, the bangles were one of the things I ordered, so I'm not just complaining about a set of $5.80 bangles)

Forever21 has very nice clothes and alot of my friends shop at this store. I have heard alot of good reviews about this preppy store and i give alot of compliments to people that wear things from the store. It offers alot of different styles for every girl to chose from. Yet at this stores alot of clothing is dry clean or machine wash cold. When I wash a couple shirts they sometimes shirk and when I enter the store sometimes articles are on the wrong racks and clothes are all over the place. Its crazy every girl loves this store!

discriminatory statement made
At approximately 11:30 am on Wed, 12/29/10, my co-worker and myself walked into one of the Forever 21 Clothing stores (Source Mall, Westbury, NY) inquiring about a dress in the window. When my co-worker asked if she could try on a dress that was on the mannequin, she was told no because it was their corporate policy not to undress the mannequins. She went on to say that the mannequins get changed on Fridays. My co-worker went on to inform her that she didn't see the dress on the floor and would like to try it on, the employee refused again stressing the fact that the mannequins get changed on Fridays. We went back into the store at about 1:00 pm to see the same salesgirl taking the dress of the mannequin for another customer, when I inquired about it, she said "Oh, this girl is really going to buy the dress." I then asked her what did that statement mean? She said"I just mean she's gonna purchased because she's sure she wants it. Your friend didn't know if she wanted it or not." I explained to her that I work in retail and most people don't know if they want to purchase anything until they try it on, especially women. The salesgirl disappeared to the back. I asked to speak to a manger another salesgirl told me that the lady who disappeared was the manger so I asked to speak with her again when she went to get her she refused to come out saying she was on her break. I asked the current salesgirl for her name and how do I go about making a complaint. I was told that she doesn't know her name (How do you not know your manger's name) and that she didn't know the number to corporate. I was extremely offended by the statements made by the store manager, she was very unprofessional and made no effort to correct the wrong. I would like the issued addressed not for me but for other shoppers in the future.

Don't sit on a hot stove waiting for it to happen. Cause Forever 21 is shady like that. They don't give any kind of customer services whatsoever so don't even expect to receive any. I guess they figure their clothes are cheap and disposal so they sure ain't about to go out of their way for anybody and people still keep buying that mess so it doesn't matter to them. In China most of their retail clothing stores like a F21 make clothes that are sized to fit mannequins and dolls. They don't do large sizes, you just have to lose weight so you can fit in the clothes, that's it. They also do not allow you to try on any of the clothes or get a refund. Americans are not use to that, but I believe that is the history behind how this Asian-owned company operates. To them its business as usual to American shoppers it's bad customer service. If you're looking for higher quality customer service don't shop at Asian owned Junior Stores.

Dont buy anything unless you plan to keep it or if you're lucky, get a gift card for store credit! They make crappy clothing & accessories & keep your money! The sign 'announcing' this policy is smaller than an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. It sits in the middle of the check out counter, so if someone from the end of the counter checks you out, you may not even see it. You cant read the sign unless you're standing right in front of it. No more gifts from this place... & what's the & (%$ w/ the bible reference on their bags? Whatever

I bought my son three shirts and they didn't fit. I took them back and they gave me an in store credit. I asked for credit on my card and they said no. I asked if this is how they steal from customers. They said I could get something. I'm 51. What kinda teenie bopper look would I want! My son went online and hates the clothes. DON'T BY FROM THEM EVER! They are as bad as Menards lumber yard.

I was attempting to make a purchase and noticed an unknown gentleman standing directly next to me. I then asked him "why are you standing next to me why I am tryiing to conduct my purchase." the cashier is still telling me to enter my pin nimber while this unknown gentleman is standing next to me. I refrused until he moved. But the cashier made me look like I was causing trouble, but all I was doing was protecting my identity and my credit card numer and pin number. When I was leaving the register she then apologized to the unknown gentleman. She never apologized to me. She never told him to remove himself. I am a customer of forver21 and she made me feel very uncomfortable. The cashier need to be taught better customer service. This treatment has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will mot be shopping in your store if this is the way that your employees treat customers.
The only reason that I did not contact the manager is because I was on my lunch break and it was during the christmas rush.

What if this girl has people she doesn't want knowing where she works? Now anyone can google her name and find out that information. To the Complaints board. I am writing to tell you again after telling you before that on the 31st July 2010 Forever21.com debited my credit card of $111.55 USD equal to $127.47 Australian Dollars.
I hope that someone will listen to me and do something about this as I wouldn't want this to happen to somebody else.

Forever21 is the worst job i've ever had. They treat their employees like crap. Since i've worked there, i've never had a consistent schedule. The managers are so unorganized / inexperienced, not to mention racist. At one point in time, i had to call in and beg for them to put me on the schedule. Regardless of what your availability says on your application, they will schedule what they feel. According to the law, they are only allowed to keep employees up to 2 hours after the store closes but some employees have stayed until 4 in the morning! (Mind you the store closed at 9) . The company does not care about anyone's well being, what your home situation is, or how you have to travel to get home. All except for one of my managers are ###, and i hate to use that word but its the only one fitting. They think they can walk all over you because they get paid like $2 more. Forever21 employees do not get paid enough ($8. 00 per hr) for all the work we do. And we only get a 10% discount!
Now i have never had a problem with the clothing itself. It is made of good quality as long as you take care of them, as you should with and clothing, shoes, etc, for a low price. They also keep up with the up to date fashion styles. I've never had a problem with shrinkage, rips / tears from the wash, fading of the jeans, or anything of that matter. I just hate working here. If i didn't need the job believe me, i would have already left.
I would much rather stay a customer than continue to work for them.

Forever 21 is by far a very bad company to work for. Not only do they treat employees like they don't matter but refuse to follow the employees schedule request, they always forget your breaks and lunches the majority of time, don't care if you're sick to work, I have an illness which resulted in me not being able to go to work for 2 days and instead of being okay with it apparently it's okay for the rude manager to terminate my season job less than two weeks of my end date. There's been many employees who dislike and complain about sharron, the manager who thinks she's the holy god and has power over anyone, even though she isn't the actual boss.I worked for the Lakewood mall store and will not ever recommend it for anyone. I am an recent employee from a new location in savannah ga. I stressed to the manager who called me that i am 4 months pregnant. I even asked will that be a problem after i was asked to come in for an interview. I asked again at the interview. I am a very hard worker but being pregnant i cant do wgat the other girls can saturday may. 14. 2016 i went to my locker to get some of my Orange juice. I had been on shift since 10:30am wasnt leaving till 7pm. I hadnt eatn that morning i had a server migraine and i was very light headed. I ate chips thinking it woukd help and took pain meds did nothing but make me feel worse. I was told i wasnt allowed to go get somwthing to drink from my locker unless i was on break. Instead of mw slapping the hell out of the manager i kept my cool as another manager and employee listened and watched the conversations. I told the manager thats not what my doctpr sais with me being high risk because i have yet to gain weight i am to eat and drink something every 2 hours to 30 mins.but i was going way over those times because i was consumed with my work and tired of being nagged like i wasnt pregnant. I clocked out and went home after i told a manager i am going home. Not to mention i was put on the schedule for a whole week off i have a 9 month old at home andnone on the way and bills dont pay them selfs i dont get government help its just me. So i asked 3 times if the schedule was final andni told them if it is this is my last day i have bills and kids before telling them im going home to take care of my body i was at the point where my vision was blurry.. Not one time did they believe that i was pregnant no one even asked for a doctors note from my ob or any proof they jus treated me as harsh as the rest knowing i was pregnant at this point i plan to get my story out and i will be handling this very publicly so other pregnant woman never have to go threw this.
I have worked at Forever 21 in Canada in the GTA for about 9 months. It is actually the worst place you can work at in retail. Before I got the job I had looked up employee reviews and 90% of them were bad and discouraged everyone from working there because of poor management issues and how badly the company treats it's employees. But I thought maybe things would be different with the store I worked at because it was new and maybe it would have good managers etc. I was so disappointed though once I started working there. It was exactly as the reviews had said or even worse. Apparently with Forever21 poor management and poor treatment of employees is consistent across the board, whether in the U.S or Canada or maybe even in other countries.
I agree with every complaint people have made in this thread. The management is racist and totally exploits the fact that most people working there really need the job so won't make an issue if things aren't going well. They can be extremely rude with employees and have so much attitude it's ridiculous. There's a lot more I could say but I think a lot of it has been covered in this thread already.
I got fired for putting in my 2 week notice after almost 2 years of being discriminated against, I seen some shady companies but forever is by far the worst.. they will schedule you to work 4pm to close and then at 12 its a new day right so lets say you stay until 4am cleaning thats a 12 hour shift with no overtime cause its a new day after 12..
Dillards is not a great place to work. You are constantly threatened of losing your job. You have to be very very aggressive with co workers to get sales. You come in the job sweet and kind and you leave feeling like ###. Because you have to become someone you are not if you want to keep your job. There is so much tension.
And when you work in the shoe dept you have to meet unreasonable expectations. Then when you have returns you have to make up for those lost sales. It is not doable.
Dillards leads their company by fear. No praise, no encouragement, no positiveness, ( I know that is not a word) Just fear. Who leads a multimillion dollar company like that?

The turnover rate is insane.

Are the managers allowed to interrupt lunch breaks, because at Northbrook Court they are.I have had my unpaid lunchbreak put on hold many times because the manager just had to ask me something that apparently couldn't wait.I have even been interrupted while on my phone call during my unpaid break!Not only is this completely rude but also illegal.
I worked at forever 21 at partridge creek, Clinton township Michigan as my first job, getting paid $7.40 an hour, first day I was told what goes where briefly and sent out onto the floor to do whatever. Absolutely no training. 3rd day of working I'm put into a section to cover 3 zones instead of one when I was still unsure about the zone I worked prior. They told me to call in only if I have something my employees or customers can catch so I called in once because of food poisoning, and it was the day before thanksgiving and absolutely no one wanted to cover my shift I called 10+ people and they were all busy so I called and told her that no one was available and she sounded annoyed so I asked if I could get a doctors note and she didn't even give me an answer she just said "goodbye" and hung up. I worked the day after thanksgiving which was Black Friday and they asked if I had my note and I explained to her I couldn't get in on thanksgiving and I wasn't even given a straight answer. they then switched my hours one day without calling me and wrote me up because I wasn't able to come in, I had my schedule printed out as proof but I said nothing. Then I was unaware of a holiday meeting because I do not use Facebook, I even went in the day before and they didn't speak of a meeting the next morning, wrote me up again. A month and a half goes by and still no training, they put me somewhere I'm not familiar with on Black Friday so I tried my best. I was told specifically active wear and accessories, I saw that someone was in shoes so I didn't even check shoes. The manager tells me to go fix the shoes pronto so I did and later on the same associate was working shoes. On my break that day I over heard her speaking rudely about a girl who just started that day saying she was following another manager around like a puppy dog, but they did the same to her as everyone else, just sent them on the floor not knowing what to do. As we're about to close the co-manager tells me to work on fitness first so I did as quickly as possible, then the store manager was walking through and straightening the scarves and I was doing go backs for accessories and I asked if there's more than one rack that had black tags and in the most rude tone she answered "you've been here all day, how do you not know that" then told me to get back onto the jewelry and walked into shoes and was gossiping about me and laughing with a cashier. Then as I was walking jewelry the cashier came over and asked if my section was good, I figured the manager covered the scarves and hats so I told her yes, she tells me that the scarves are a mess and that I need to fix them and ordered someone else to do active and jewelry, so I grabbed a ladder and the manager came back and they were looking over at me and talking and walked further away once I saw them and kept laughing. I go to leave to find that the dishes I brought in for people to eat we're thrown away (reusable tupple wear and baking pan I might add). Told her goodnight and completely ignored. Things like this have gone on since I've been here with me and a few girls, all 4 managers act really unprofessional and treat some of us like its high school or something and just treat the ones they like good, money is money but this isn't worth $7.40. I'll be kept 2 hours late and not be allowed to tell my ride who will sit there and wait. This isn't management it's just picking on someone.

I pretty much agree with what everyone is saying. Today was my first day working and i felt like i was in middle school or something where the employees who have been working longer act like they are the ### towards the new co workers and pick on the new workers, just like how middle school who are in 8th grade pick on 7th graders for being new, i found it immature. A couple of managers got mad at me for something i did wrong, yet they didn't explain that i was suppose to do this and that. Forever 21 is my first job and already i got a bad impression. IT has been only a day and a customer was angry at me for telling them the truth that they had nomore small sized and she thought i was lying, yet i was being kind. thats rude. i wouldn't suggest anyone or people with no job experience to consider working at forever 21 because its not worth dealing with, i didn't even get a break either. Also they have a dress code, u have to wear the seasonal clothes they have, i think its ridiculous how the co workers who have been working longer dont have to follow it. btw if you dont liek the store then dont work there because the majority of your pay check with go to buying the seasonal clothing for work
I agree with everyone on here. I worked for the company for almost 2 and a half years and only stayed so long because I loved some of my co-workers, and it was a stones throw from my college. Working there was like being back in high school. I worked hard and got paid like crap, managers would make up stories about me doing or saying things so that their friends would get promoted before I did. People were always talking behind everyone's back. The schedules were always getting changed around without notice. If you did something a manager didn't agree with, instead of speaking to you about it, they would go the passive-aggressive route and give you 10 hours a week while everyone else was getting 28-32 hours a week. The managers in my store spent more time locked in the backroom chit chatting, watching tv, painting their nails, or eating than they did on the floor. I once had an emergency where I was stranded an hour and a half away and literally could not get to work. The manager told me it "wasn't possible for me not to come in". What? Sorry, my situation was far more important than this job. I quit shortly after that. I could go on and on with the stories from just one store.
Also, I feel like the customers that come in to forever 21 are way more rude and inconsiderate, as opposed to other stores they shop in. I work at another major clothing store now and the customers that shop there are much nicer and make less of a mess. I don't know what it is about Forever 21 that a lot of people just turn into jerks the second they walk through the door.

This company persists on treating their employees as if the they were sweat labor workers they subject them to working conditions that are intolerable being that they do not supply the employees with a satisfactory working conditions meaning the stockroom employee's in the summer are subjected to 100+ degree weather and also in the winter temperatures reaching 0 degree mark this is not a tolerable working condition also the pay scale for employees and the hiearchy for the employers pay scale may also be questionable taking advantage an dissolving positions to pay their employees a lower wage I do believe even in Idaho they have a fair wage act and emplyees should be paid based on experience and job position and not have have a position just completly disappear overnite these are just a couple of examples of situations I have personally witnessed

I bought a shirt for my daughter and she wore it once. I hand washed it per the label instructions and the little brown hearts bled all over the cream background. Forever 21's return policy is that the item can only be exchanged unworn to get a store credit. I emailed customer service and they stated again to me the above, "the item must be unworn" I want to warn EVERONE about buying something at this store. If they sell X number of these, or any clothing and the colors bleed and you can not return them! You do the math... what a scam!

The same exact thing happened to me yesterday. I bought a pair of jeggings, didnt try them on in the store, took them home to find that the zipper was broken. I took them back to the store and explained what had happened the next day and the manager was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do about it. I am planning on calling the corporate office during the next week because it is completely ridiculous that 1) their clothes were faulty and 2) their managers acted in such a way.
Our store policy is our store policy. People complain about it all the time, yett, I see them again and again in the store shopping. Its a private company... its not public.. therefor, it's allowed to have any return policy it suits fit. / Store credit only for unused items. 21 days to do it in. and so on...
i shop at forever 21 and worked at one for 3 years. A item "bleeding" is a rare defect unless, you didnt follow the washing directions. And if there was a defect in that line, then the company would have had more complaints about it and would have given you a credit... there's no such thing as a one item defect on merchandise thats mass produced. if something was defective then a whole line would be, not just one shirt.
It's not a scam, it is probably just the material. Did you follow the washing instructions? Forever 21's clothing is mass made in Asia countries. They use a lot of different types of fabric. If this is an isolated incident, I wouldn't be so worried about it.
Worst return policy ever
Okay so exactly a week ago I bought a really cute ring that I mistakenly got in the wrong size. Today I took it back wanting a smaller size and apparently all jewelry is final sale. Upon further inspection I did find it on the receipt but no where else in the store. I looked! Even on the cashiers. I am very pissed off at the fact that I had my receipt, the product was unworn, and I even had the little tag that attaches to the product. I was beyond angry, needless to say it will be a long time before I shop at forever 21 again, if ever.

I had a very negative experience with Forever 21 merchandise. I contacted customer service to no satisfaction. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, who contacted Forever 21 three times with no response. Now, I am posting public complaints to warn consumers about their blatant disregard for consumer concerns. I will also elevate this to local Consumer Affairs.
Forever 21 is a terrible company that doesn't care about its patrons, offers poor quality products, and features a stingy return policy that is dissimilar to many of their competitors. These stores are flagrantly peddling garbage to the public, knowing full well merchandise will fall apart or shrink beyond recognition within a couple months of purchase. I will never shop at these stores ever, and this company has gained a negative referral forever.
CONSUMERS: Spend your money elsewhere. There are too many authentic, quality businesses closing that actually care about their customers. Let's help close the doors of the ones who really deserve to be out of business, such as FOREVER 21.

I have quite a few things from Forver 21 that is of fabulous quality, especially for the price.
I agree w/ Jaymi to a degree. QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RETURN POLICY. When you walk up to the register, the return policy is listed on a sign IN FRONT OF THE REGISTER. If that wasn't enough, sales associates ASK YOU if you're familiar with the policy and if you're not, they explain it to you. As if THAT wasn't enough, it's printed on the receipt! You have 3 ways to find out about the policy. Yeah, I agree that it's a crap policy, but if you don't like it, you have the option of shopping elsewhere. Don't make such a big stink because you don't want to read or listen to what you're told. The customer is not always right.
Im so sick of hearing people WHINE about the return policy, get over it! You might disagree with it but that doesnt make it okay to complain about it publically, making yourself look like an ###. Second of all. You dont even know how every individual store treats their customers. Just because you had one bad expirience at one store does not mean they ALL should be shut down. I worked for the company last summer, one day a woman came in with a shirt that she had the wrong size for, I looked at her reciept and said "Im very sorry but this is past the 21 day limit." OF COURSE she got mad and asked for a manager. I stood there in disgust as this woman was LITERALLY yelling at my boss who was repeatedly apologizing to her.

Yesterday I purchased several items at this store. I was in a rush and couldn't decide between three different belts to go with a dress I had at home and figured I could try them out and see which I liked best and then return the other two. I even mentioned this to the cashier, but it was only AFTER he had charged my credit card that he explained that Forever 21's return policy does not allow the items to be returned for cash or for the amount to be credited back to my card -- it's store credit only and just for 21 days. Never have I ever heard of such a policy outside of clearance sales, or stores going out of business. I even had the cashier repeat the policy to me because I thought I had misheard him. Nowhere in the store is it clearly posted that this is their policy and I thought it was quite convenient for it to be mentioned only after I had purchased the items. Today I called Forever 21's customer service line to lodge a complaint and was told after holding for 10 minutes that all complaints must be in writing via the website, where I am sure my complaint will be ignored. In exchange for my $30, Forever 21 has just guarenteed that I will never do business with them again and I will let all my friends know about this sneaky return policy.

The problem with Forever 21 is the fact that they don't return cash and the reasons could be genuine. I just got my card stolen and I lost 60$ that were on that card. If only I had that money returned.
After wearing a top once I washed and dried it, It shrunk to the point that I could not wear it. when I returned it to the store the manager, Cindy, at the Westfield mall told me that the return policy said the tags had to be on, and not worn or washed. I asked to exchange it for another top of the same type and she refused. Tags, off, worn, washed, no return. She was adamant. When I asked if she was willing to lose me as a customer she reiterated the policy. She stated she always line dries her clothes so hers don't shrink but this is not stated in the wash dry instructions. Forever 21 just lost a customer.
Will not buy or purchase from due to their policy. I never had an issue before until today for same reasons as stated above I found a pair of shoes made purchase and the found same pair half the price in Macy's. I called my bank the store manager and the customer service dept that they provided. I guess as a shopper you have to read the fine print on the signs behind register cause once you get receipt its too late. Either way its their loss from today forward. it's not like they are the only retailer.
Eh...every Froever 21 store I go to, when I am at the cashier, they ALWAYS ask if I know the return policy BEFORE they even ring anything up. Instead of waiting until you got home to call them up, why didn't you ask to see a manager right then and there and tell he/she exactly what happened? So to me, this sounds like you'r not being completely truthful.

Before you buy anything, you should see how much the total will be before getting to the register and watch as they are being rung up and when they tell you your total, if something is off, ask them BEFORE paying. The manager shouldn't have insulted you like that (which I doubt she/he actually did), is it any better what you are calling the people who work in the store? You're just as immature.
Try not to order online from them. If you do and find that you need to make a return, it will take Forever. Wow what a coincidence that Forever is in the name. It takes Forever to get and order accomplished if they decide they need proof that it is you that is actually ordering, if you are sending the items to someone else's address. It takes Forever for them to get your email and respond. I wrote an email and they don't check their emails everyday. It took a week to get a response. I had to call my credit card company to tell them that it might take 2 billing cycle to get a credit for a return in which I sent back 13 days ago, because I was worried that I would incur interest charges. Before I contacted my cc company, I tried to contact the retailer by sending them a message on their website to ask when my specific order would be credited. I got no response because like I said, "It will probably take Forever." I could not wait for that, because my monthly due date is approaching. So the credit card company was kind enough to help me with that when I called and explained this dilemma. I am very happy with my cc company, but unhappy with the ignorance of companies these days that do not have good customer service and a no care attitude.

What I don't get is all the customers who come back to me and complain about how there is holes in their shirts... and I wish I could just tell them the truth about how that happens. It's CUSTOMERS who cause 99.[protected]% of the damage that I have ever seen in my store. Idiots who hang knit tops over the racks instead of putting them on the hanger and hanging them properly so they don't snag and pull on the hooks of other hangers. I saw this one crazy woman literally shove a hanger into a t-shirt and it poked a hole through the fabric. She then proceeded to throw it on the table and walk away. Stop coming to us and complaining about how your stuff has holes and getting mad at us. Its not like we sit in the back all day purposely putting holes in the merchandise. Actually, if i am ringing stuff through and I notice any damage I always tell the customer and ask if they want to get something else. Our damages alone in one month probably amount to at least a couple thousand dollars in lost sales so we are getting screwed by it too. That's what happens when people don't respect the store. You should check your merchandise before you buy it because it goes through extreme wear and tear just by being on the sales floor...being tried on, thrown around, put on and pulled off hangers hundreds of times... there is a high chance it will be damaged in the process.
Well though I don't agree with trying to return a shirt that was washed and dried I went to Forever 21 yesterday and bought a skirt and a top. When I got home the skirt was not what I expected, so I went right back to return it. I spent 27.85 in cash and they would only give me store credit! That is unbelievable! I did not want the skirt or the shirt and wish I would have just tried it on. My point of view is that THEY NEED TO MAKE THEIR POLICY CLEAR to people! CROOKS!
I was only 3 days past the 21 date. I lived in WV where a Forever 21 doesn't exist. So i bought a pair of shorts in DC to visit came back to WV-where there wasn't a forever 21 available for me to return the item and moved to DC and tried to return the shorts. No money back, no return, no store credit. I asked them what I was supposed to do and they told me that couldn't do anything that that was policy and there was nothing they could do and I could give the shorts away! I just want my money back or store credit!

I emailed the following letter to Forever 21. I am not hopeful for a positive resolution based on what I have read and if so, they have lost a customer and I will spread the word.
"I am writing because I recently had a terrible experience with not only your merchandise but also with a store manager.
On July 9th I purchased a shirt from your Newmarket, Ontario Canada location (located in the Upper Canada Mall). I didn't try the shirt on in the store, I just picked my size and paid for it. I didn't wear the shirt until July 11th when I had the shirt on for about 45 minutes when I realized there was a hole where the material had torn apart underneath the armpit right along the seem. After further inspection of the shirt I realized that almost the entire seem was like this and that the shirt was basically ready to tear upon purchase. I went on vacation for a week otherwise I would have returned it the next day. Today (July 19th) I went back to the location, explained that I had the shirt on for about 45 minutes before I realized it was ripped. I wasn't demanding my money back, I wasn't even being rude... I didn't even go in expecting an argurment because I assumed the situation was so obviously in my favour that of course I would be able to exchage it or receive a store credit as I shop at Forever 21 often and know that it's exchanges and store credits only. The manager, whose name I unfortunately didn't think to get until after I left the store, promptly and without listening to my story sharply advised me that because I wore the shirt there was nothing she could do. I explained that I didn't even leave the house before I noticed the rip and only had it on for a short period of time. She repeated again the store policy preceeded by"the receipt clearly states that...". It was completely rude and arrogant. She even walked away from me after she said it! So I told her"obviously you stand by your merchandise then?"at which point she stated yes, she did.
I am completely disgusted by my experience today. As someone that frequently shops at your store I feel like I have no rights and was completely taken advantage of. If this is your policy then would my rights not be void upon trying on the garment in the change room? I have technically"worn"it at that point, right? I could easily have lied and said I didn't wear it but I truly didn't think that I would be turned away because the shirt was VERY obviously faulty. Where does this end? Would I now have to analyze ALL merchandise purchased at Forever 21 for any hint of rips or tears? This seems pretty extreme but it also seems that this managers actions were pretty extreme considering all she heard was that I tried the shirt on at my house and saw it as an"out". Pathetic. Is your company SO willing to lose a customer over a $15 shirt? I know $15 is not alot of money but it is simply the principle of the matter... Especially given that I probably would have used the credit towards something that cost more. I know that I am only one customer but I will make sure that I have a voice. I feel completely taken advantage of and I hope that you will do right by this"one customer"so that I can tell people that Forever 21 stands behind their merchandise and value their customers instead of the opposite. I'm not asking for more than what I paid for... Not EVEN what I paid for. Please, do the right thing."

WHY are employees not answering the store phone?
I ordered 3 shirts two of which I returned back on April 9 still haven't received any information where my return is. Everytime I call hold time 2 hours ! I left the option for a customer service rep to call me back no call back. They owe me money it doesn't take a month for a return to reach its destination

You should not have to examine every seam before you buy something from a store. Obviously
it is a smart idea, as not every shirt made will be perfect. But when you do come across something that is of poor quality, you should be allowed to make an exchange in the very least.
People tend to forget that PRICE is IRRELAVENT. The statement "you get what you pay for" does not actually apply. If you buy something wheather it's $3.00 or $300.00, you are spending your hard earned cash.
I recently bought a coat from Forever 21. Normally the quality is fair, to average, but I've always known that. When I bought the coat, I looked it over. It was fine. That was on Nov 13th. My birthday.
I looked at my coat today December 28th, which is about two months time. There are huge rips in the seams. It is literally unraveling. If I was an active person, I could see this being ok. But I've only worn the coat now for two weeks. And I don't let anything touch it since it is white.
I spent $40.00 on it, which isn't a lot for a winter coat, but I should be able to wear it more than a month.
As for the Manager's attitude. That isn't right. Of course she is human, but she also has to be able to control herself, if she wants to have that responsiblity.
Orlando, the situation was not in your favor. You did not examine the shirt, therefore, it's your fault. It's unfortunate the the associate was rude to you, but it happens.
