I am writing about a recent experience at Fox rental car facility in Los Angeles airport. My Confirmation No.: FFX03CB7E7 was for 12/5 to 12/8. I made a prepaid reservation through Expedia travel. Upon arrival at the rental car center I was asked to present my credit card and drivers license. The agent, Daniel, informed me that my drivers license did not match my credit card since the latter used my middle name, whereas the former only used my middle initial. I was told they could not rent me a car. The agent told me I had to receive my refund through Expedia since, according to him, “ they had my money” for this reservation.
I later contacted Expedia and they were told by your rental car agency that I was a “no show” and therefore not entitled to a refund.
I have been renting cars for over four decades and never been refused rental because my credit card and license had a middle name and the other a middle initial.
I tried using the Fox Rental Car website to correspond about this but nobody returned my inquiry.
Claimed loss: $112
Desired outcome: Refund of $112
