Inadequate property damage payment
On August 16, 2021 my vehicle was sideswiped by a motorist having Fred Loya Insurance. On that day, I filled out the police report and notified both Fred Loya Insurance and my insurance company, American Family Insurance.
The next day, I drove my vehicle to Fred Loya Insurance where their adjuster looked at my vehicle and took pictures.
Within a week, Fred Loya Insurance Adjuster, stated their client was 100% at fault and I would be receiving a check. I received a check for $354.67 for property damage to my 2014 RAV 4, Sept 3. I emailed to them an estimated damage from Caliber Collision on Sept 10 showing $4, 767.07 estimate repair cost. I informed them that they would have to send to me the difference.
Heard nothing, received nothing. On Sept 29, I sent to Fred Loya Insurance adjuster Andrea Olguin, two more estimates. One from Auto Nation Collsion Center for $4596.01 and the other from Kuni Honda on Arapahoe for $5, 072.86. Also emailed them to American Family Adjuster Molly DeGonds. I called and talked to Adjuster Andrea Olguin on October 7, to ask when they would send to me payment for the property damage to my car. I reiterated to her from previous calls that I own my car, there was no loan on the car, so I wanted the money sent to me directly. Andrea gave me the same run around, delay tactics as before saying she would have to send my request to others above her. I let her know that is exactly what she stated the last time we spoke, 1 1/2 week earlier. Andrea said they would call me October 8 at 4pm, my time. No call, I called Andrea three times between 4:20 and 4:50. No answer anytime, so I left voice messages. At 6pm, Andrea did call. I got another delay, round around tactic saying Fred Loya Insurance would have to call and talk to the body shops.
Also note: when getting estimates, I was informed that due to Fred Loya Insurance reputation for settling and paying, that I would personally have to pay for the repairs to them, and I would then have to seek reimbursement from Fred Loya Insurance. The body shops estimates also state that more damage maybe found once repairs are being made.
Please fulfill your obligations as an insurance company.

Denial of claim form
Greetings! I've been a Fred Loya customer for over 10 years now. Regretfully, I'm not happy with the service or lack of service with the above claim number. The adjuster Michael Rivera and his supervisor Rosie Orosco have both been giving me the run around.Call their office phones and calls go straight to voicemail. When Mr. Rivera does call back his tone is rude and disrespectful. Currently all I've received in the mail are two denial letters and my question is why?
I've provided Fred Loya Insurance Company (via correspondence with Mr. Rivera) police report, the other person insurance company and filed number, pictures, etc. I've informed Mr. Rivera that I'm not going away and that expect the services I've been paying for to be respected.
claims representative
I'm new to the claims process and if I tell you its been hell. Especially if you have to do all the calling and running around just to find out when is your car going to be fixed. I had the pleasure of speaking with a claims representive that was very rude, snappy and sharp with me, in addition to the fact that the claims adjuster that suppose to handle my claim has been M.I.A . The whole process is pain staking and these rude reps don't make the situation any better. I'm totally dissatisfied, disappointed and disgusted with Fred Loya Insurance at this moment.
bad customer service

I paid my insurance a day late yes I had two accidents in one year did not know I was being drop, I paid it $155.00 and at o'clock I get a call that my payment would be reimbursed within 5-7 business days .If I am paying insurance means I have a vehicle, which I use for commuting to an from work. Your staffs lack of consistency has cost me a week out of work how in the hell is this a convenience to me.
marisol in their claims department
I had someone file. Claim against my insurance and she has been the one reviewing the case. Unless we contact we hear nothing and when my boyfriend who is the policy holder called she was rude and snappy refusing to talk to him so I called her back. She basically told me that she was going to side with the other guys. She stated I had damage on my front bumper I said yes as stated in my first statement to them and the state patrol there was previous damage to my whole bumper from before I owned it. She became unreasonable to talk to I reminded her. This other driver hasn't provided any information regarding if he has insurance or even a valid drivers license as he stated he didn't have them on him. She continued to ignore my request and questions. Just repeating that it could go against me and will continue to review I asked what that meant and she told me have a nice day and hung up.
the service provided
I've had a policy for a year now with this insurance. I've had nothing but problems since day 1. First off with paying in store with cash and not taking my debit card. Secondly, with the money being withdrawn from my bank account. The insurance always blamed my bank and the bank blamed the insurance. BIG RUN AROUND. The issue never got better. I had to start doing my payments in store. Later, I signed up online to give online payments which worked out way better. Now my contract has been cancelled and all while I have a claim still pending. I went in store last night to give a payment/renew and was not able to. Being that I have a claim and that my car should be in the shop. I was told i could only renew if i took my car to the shop the following day which of course was not in plan yet till i gathered my deductible payment. All services here and with the staff have been HUGE inconvenience. I've even called the complaints # and not once did anyone ever return my call and this was months ago. Now i bet when i go in to renew my policy being that my car is in the shop I'm going to be charged more than my actual monthly payment. One thing i only appreciate with this place is my payment amount! Watch it change now all because of this claim! Such a great service you all provide!
Make the service better and stop messing with customers policies. I see Im not the only one

If I could give this a 0 I would. I was in a car accident on 12/1/2018 and have been dealing with the other guys insurance (which is Fred Loya) and I have gotten my estimate back and went to the shop I will be getting my car fixed at and now I have to set up a rental car... well my adjuster has never called one (though the lady who took pictures for the adjuster said "he will be available for you at any time during the work day") my car was suppose to go to the shop Monday, but now it looks like that is getting put off. I'm very agitated with Fred Loya

I have an email from my adjuster stating as soon as the body shop receives my car that she will provide a rental from enterprise. (and can show you proof of that email) I asked her if there was a time frame to me getting to the body shop and she said no. I was not able to get ahold of her and submitted a complaint. Someone did call me after the complaint was submitted and advised me that everything was good to go for when I dropped off my car. They confirmed and gave me the reservation number.
Once I get to the body shop the adjuster states they no longer can provide me with a rental!
She said they had to reopen the investigation. Surprise! I receive no phone call, letter, nothing! Not sure why reopening an investigation has to do with providing the rental that I was already promised.
The check was already given to me and cashed.
My condenser can not be fixed until I get my body work fixed. That means I have no a/c. I am a single mom with four kids, it will be 105 soon outside.
The pictures below are what the body shop took and told me it can not be fixed yet.
Please help me obtain the rental that I was already promised.
Cheers,
Adrienne Johnson

In this accident 2/21/2022, my two cars were rammed from behind by an insured Fred loya while parked in the apartment block where I was staying.
After many days, I was able to fix 2 cars but still have not been refunded 2 rented cars during the repair period. That's pretty much for me: $3,427.70.
Looks like they ignored my email and don't want a refund. It was really bad for me to come across this Fred loya.
Heaven help any poor soul who is involved in an accident with someone who has Fed Loya insurance. They do not have a contractual arrangement with a rental car service, so you are on your own to find replacement transportation while your vehicle is being repaired. On top of that, the amount they will compensate for a rental is well below the industry average where I am in the DFW, Texas area. My vehicle was in the shop for 15 days, but I have only been compensated for 6. I have been trying to collect the remaining 9 days for two months now. I have sent over a dozen emails to my claim representative, as well as sent a request through the Fred Loya website. I have called the agent directly and have been repeatedly told a supervisor has to handle the request, but cannot get contact information for the supervisor. I have no doubt they are ignoring me hoping I will grow weary and give up. All this is doing is motivating me to broaden the reach through online messages such as this and a continued barrage of emails, phone calls and whatever else I can do in order to be a squeaky enough wheel to collect the measly $234 I am seeking. My out of pocket for my rental was $650 and I have been reimbursed for $156 to date. Really? You can't swing $234?
call center/claims/customer service
I have all my calls recorded. I have proof of this absolute lack of integrity. They don't stand by what's right, their paying customers, or the code of which they are meant to ny their own company.
They WILL NOT HELP ME. Their client Hit me and admitted fault immediately. I can not even get in touch with a supervisor. They refuse to put me on the phone with their supervisor or give me the number .
insurance and claims
Fred Loya is the worst! Got into a vehicle accident and the other driver was insured by Fred Loya. This happened on 08/28/2017, today is 09/05/2017, we still don't have a rental, our car is still sitting in our driveway and the best settlement offer they could give myself, my husband, and my 2 children is $500. They have given us the run around from the get go, the adjustors are impossible to get a hold off and they have accepted full responsibility on 08/30/2017 and we still have not heard from anyone. We have loss money, time at work and a vehicle, and this company does not care
staff
First of all I've been a member of the Ymca for several years now. Time after time my family and friends we encounter minor problems with staff. Rudeness and sarcasm. Especially with the females. I was beginning to think they are ha ing bad days but today took the cake. The front desk older woman with shirt spike hair and glasses as seen on the pictures attached is rude and very sarcastic. I went to ask a question about registration for my kids fall basketball. She went off a different subject from what I asked and never answered my question. Several families here take the rudeness. I did for a while but enough is enough. I tried reaching out to Mr. LOYA himself but I have no luck. The woman have no customer service rela tions at all. The woman who clean are just as bad. They tell at you that we need to leave so they can clean when we just literally finished a game. I think there needs to be an internal investigation as to how these women treat the members. Something needs to be done with proper training or a crash course on customer service. Mr. Lots probably has no idea what's going on. When I ask for someone in charge alibi ever get is that the manager is not available. What a coincidence it's Every time I ask for one. Please look into the treatment from staff. There is no professionalism what so ever. This is completely uneccessary as I pay for my kids sports. Being a paid customer we don't need to be treated unprofessioanlly or with any sarcasm.
the put my insurance on "hold" without notice
Today I had a very upsetting situation and Fred Loya made it so much worse. My spouse's key broke off of the fob broke and she was several towns over working. She called me and I went to go get another key. I had to leave work and get another key.
After I went to the dealership to pick up up the key, which was an hour north of my work, I received a call from my line holder who said they were informed that I needed to sign a declaration at Fred Loya indicating that my son isn't driving our cars. I called Fred Loya and was told that my insurance was on "hold" because I needed to sign the declaration. Mind you, I had just paid my bill and money had been DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT. NO PHONE CALL FROM FRED LOYA WAS RECEIVED INFORMING G ME that I didn't have insurance and both me and my partner had been DRIVING AROUND THE METROPLEX! I'm sure if my paymentime was late you would have CALLED me! I had to drive 30 minutes away to the nearest Fred Loya office and was told that in order for me to them to reinstate my policy, they would need to SEE BOTH MY VEHICLES! Are you kidding me?! If you don't recall, my SPOUSE WAS STRANDED 2 HOURS AWAY! AND IT WAS AT 4:30 in 100 degree weather!... AND has a large burn injury in which CAUSED THE SWEAT GLANDS ON 80% of the total surface area to NOT BE ABLE TO PRODUCE SWEAT which can easily cause HEATSTROKEand it had been 2 hours since the call. So I had to fool around in the fred Loya office having a fit because of this B.S.until someone finally kept calling people until I could finally leave, having the full coverage that I had ALREADY PAID FOR and had been PAYING FOR SINCE 2010. Oh, and my son who's 17, DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A CAR and he was 16 a year ago and I had NEVER been asked to sign a disclosure before. So it is now over THREE HOURS since the distress call and I am still not there. yet. The key issue is a pain but sometimes these things happen but Fred Loya fiasco was stupid and was less than poor customer service. I see where your priorities are and your priorities just lost you a customer!
unethical behavior
We have called this company to settle an accident that happened, and when we called no one answered the phone and we finally got an letter from an Attorney and bill. We called today and the lady threaten my husband and told him to hush until she was finished talking. I wish I was home because she would have gotten a mouthful from me. I have sent them numerous mail regarding our car and nothing ever came about until we got the letter from his attorney. We still have not received any bill of dr's appointment and injury or the bill for how much they sold their car for at the towing yard. I sent all my information to them.
rental car
Please do not get insurance with this company!
I had an accident it was my fault, i told them i did not want my truck fixed at their bodyshop, and brought it home after they took it for an estimate, now I'm looking for my own bodyshop.. today is friday and my truck will be monday at the shop, they tell you have 30 days on car rental for your car to be fixed, it's a lie! They just call me today (friday) to turn in the rental car since it's been 10 days. Customer service is RUDE, my udjuster is "ABRIL ARREOLA" she is rude as well you can't talk to her due to her rudeness, "supervisor" MARISOL CHACON also is no help, when you try to reach at them by phone they never answer! Stay away from this company.
claim adjuster not returning calls
Our claim # is 575817. We submitted a claim on 1/27/17. My husband Manuel Castillo took the car to the nearest Fred Loya office he was asked to to get pictures taken. We were given the name of our adjuster Jesus Ramirez. We have attempted to contact him numerous times, I even spoke with Sandra Robles and requested for our claim to be handled by someone that would be more attentive to our claim. I also emailed pictures of our vehicle as well as your client's vehicle from the day of the accident.
We are very dissatisfied with the way this claim has been handled ( or not handled).
As a business professional myself it is just common courtesy to contact clients/customers to update them on the current status of anything.
I would please like a returned phone call to discuss our claim.
Marivel Castillo214-280-6377.
Thank you.
auto insurance
Run from this company as fast as you can! I have been a customer for years with fred loya. With no accidents and no tickets, my coverage rate steady increases. Dec. 2016 my car was hit. The other driver was at fault. They claim that they paid the person who hit my car. Really? I argued with them on the issue, police report and all. The final conclusion was at fault 50/50. So now they want to increase my payments. I told them from the beginning that I wasn't going to claim my car. So they supposedly paid her off and then sent me a letter that said they issued me a check for damages to my car as well. Well hell, if they are going to increase my payment, I figured fine, i'll take the check. I waited 2 weeks, no check. I called fred loya. The claims adjuster sent the check to my old address from months ago. He said that he did not have my new address. Really? The same guy has sent everything else to this address, but only not the check. What the... ? Ok what do we do now? He said that he would put a stop payment on the check and send a new one. 2 more weeks and no check. I call again. He says that he had sent his supervisor a request for approval for this and has not heard back. I had to tell him to follow up. Another 2 weeks and nothing. So when called again, he claimed that I cashed the original check. I told him that I have absolutely no access to the old mailbox, it has a lock. He basically called me a liar. Ok, time for a supervisor. This guy has not been polite since day 1. Supervisor says we have to file and investigate who cashed the check. This will take at least a month. She sends me a firm via email. It's not a long form but is a little confusing because the information needed fred loya would have and it needs to be notarized. I call the supervisor and ask if I notarize or they do. She puts me on eternal hold, comes back and says no I don't. So I ask her how do I need to answer 2 of the questions. She tells me to take it to a notary and they will instruct me. Really when in the hell did notaries become form specialist? Ugh! I tell her that they have waited enough if my time, she can answer my questions. Looking at the form, I am sure she is wrong and I need to get it notarized adding information about the check # and account info. So here we are, about 2 months later and the side if my car is still smashed in, I can't open the door, spiders keep getting in. How long will they drag this out? Time to file a complaint with the texas department of insurance. If any one needs the number, it is [protected]. I will be cancelling my policy asap. Never again will I use fred loya.
refund
these like to lie too much, been waiting on my refund and still they cant send the money back, this insurance is no good but are willing to take your money right away and sometimes without permission they will pull it out of your account, if anyone if trying to get insurance from them, I would go with another company which are more better them Fred Loya,
horrible customer service representatives this company does not care at all
My son was hit by a Fred Loya driver on 7/26/2016. On 8-3-2016 my car was deemed a total loss. They gave me a rental and now they want me to pay for the rental. You never sent a payout for my car and I'm stuck paying for interest on a loan for a car that I don't have. Your people are horrible with communication, not trust worthy .#860889 clm number
