Fred Meyer Promised refund never happened

Fred Meyer Insurance

I first want to say that I have been a loyal member of Fred Meyers my entire life. 51 years. This includes not only shopping, but also the pharmacy. But I received a notification in the mail this week that not only angers me, but has me thinking of finding another place to shop all together. The notice I received was from my Tri-care insurance company. The notification they sent me was to inform me that starting on January 1, 2023- Kroeger/Fred Meyers would no longer be accepting Tri-care insurance for prescription coverage. This sickens me on so many levels. Not only do I have to go out and find another pharmacy (I have never used anything other than Fred Meyers), but to learn that Kroger/Fred Meyers no longer wishes to serve veterans. Tri-care is the only insurance veterans have, and Kroger is telling these veterans they no longer want their business. Please tell me this is a mistake and Kroger will fix this issue. If not, I will be looking elsewhere and will be letting everyone on Social Media know what Kroger stands for. This makes me so sad

Desired outcome: Pharmacies should not be allowed to discriminate between which insurance they wish to accept and not to accept. Fred Meyer needs to figure out how to be more customer focused when it comes to their pharmacies.

Fred Meyer Management

JOHNSON CREEK, HAPPY VALLEY:

The HR manager will hire someone for a position, example home sales, and they go fwd and accept the job. The new employee gets to work in home department the first week then mangers start slowly sending the new person out to pump fuel, and before they know it they're always being sent to fuel (not the job they applied for or agreed to).

Moreover, employees get multiple "managers/leads" telling them what to do, and contradictions start happening, and they're in the hot seat if they don't listen. This is obviously very poor management in scheduling employees accordingly. These employees are already get low pay and shorted hours, 20 hrs/ wk isn't enough to pay mortgage or rent. Heck, this wouldn't even pay my utilities and gas.

DO BETTER

Desired outcome: Be honest and provide a more organized and fair scheduling management.

Fred Meyer Fred Meyer: Christmas Lights?

The online reps are entirely useless, have little knowledge of the products sold on the FM website and when you question them then are forced to ask for a supervisor they disconnect you, or drag out so long increasing anxiety. From 9:19AM this morning, it took an hour, 3 reps later to not even answer my simple question. The last one referred me to HomeDepot? Really? I'm shopping on YOUR Fred Meyer site, not HomeDepot. I'm going to charge them $500 per every 15 minutes wasted and treated most unprofessionally. I'm going to say it: unprofessional and dumb, a total waste of time just for clarification on Christmas lights FM sells on their own website! Aggravation and such distress! Dummy no-no's. Fred Meyer should know better by now. The online c.s. support is a complete joke! They behave as if they are in a social media argumentative, incompetent chat group.

Desired outcome: Per 15 minute charge; total time: one hour. And an apology and discount on Black Friday 55 inch TV my choice, by $200.

Fred Meyer Getting a refill on my prescription

11/16/22 Called to refill my prescription. I only use one brand. Was told it would not be ready tell today. Waited 15 back in line. Super busy.. When I got up to get it was greeted by a hateful girl who is in one word Nasty hateful. Said prescription was not there, Did not know when it would arrive. Told me I could not order a specific brand. The only reason I drive to Yakima is for that brand. Terrrible customer service.

Desired outcome: Hire people who are polite. Do not guess and tell my prescription will be in next day if it won't. I will wait several days. However this is the second time dealing with her. She lies to your face and thinks it is funny.

Hi I'm complaining about a girl named Linda at the Wilsonville pharmacy she is refusing to fill my prescriptions she lies to me she lies to the doctors I went in to have a prescription field she told me I couldn't get it until the 28th even though it was filled on the 17th he may be late then again this month no I had talking to the doctor and the doctor had said yes I will fill today put on their field today November 15th and she says no the doctor did not make any changes I can't feel it I called back and asked to speak to a pharmacist she put me on hold after many minutes I called again she just hung up phone quick quick over and over so I got dressed and went over there

Fred Meyer Couple different things need to be addressed

Hello,

I was with my son cashing his SSI weekly allowance check for $75. When we got up to the counter there was three young ladies saying that they were persons in charge which none of them had the yellow vest on. And, you they were refusing to cash my son's check because in the memo it said food. They told me because it said food in the memo that he would have to go through the grocery store spend the whole $75 and then they could cash it at the register. I tried to explaining to the three young ladies that the reason why it said food in the memo, is because my son's payee from the Anchorage Alaska advocacy building. My son like to order out or like to go to dinner with his family.. one of the young ladies looks at me and says you know what I don't have to explain to you why I'm not going to cash it I said well the check isn't made out to Fred Meyers it is made out to Jesse petrich so that means he doesn't have to spend $75 on food and the grocery store. My son had Alaska state ID was not expired the check was written out to him Jesse bettridge and they refused to cash it. At this time I asked them if they could get me a supervisor or manager and one of the young ladies named Chrissy said that she was a manager and that she will not cash the check for us. At this time I said to the young lady that I did not think that she knew her job and she looked at me and told me you know what I don't care what you say this is what I'm going to say to you I refuse your service b*itch and you need to get out of my store. And the other two ladies actually sat there and chuckled. Heard them call my son stupid. And because I was getting so late we just decided to go up to Walmart down the street and have it catch there we had no problems. The next day I ended up calling the manager at the Fred Meyers in Wasilla and he refused to do anything about the problem. I was only able to get one of the girls name they refuse to give me any of the other ones named either. I have worked at the Fred Meyers up here in Alaska three separate times between the age of 25 to about 45. I just believe that these ladies need to be talking to by someone higher up a manager that's supposed to be doing his job the one that called me a [censored] I think she should be fired and I will be going back into the store and I will be seeing if these young ladies are there. Also right before I left I asked for their names and they all three refused to give their names. Customer is hard but, you still need to be nice.

A man was in the women's restroom at Fred Meyer at 3333 W. 11th Ave in Eugene Oregon 97402. Immediately I went to Customer Service to report it. An employee by the name of Blake said he was Gay and could be in any place he wanted in any restroom. He showed up to harass us five times since May 2022. He appeared at the Women's restroom for the last time we have reported it to Kroger.

Fred Meyer Current employment

To whom this may concern,

I have worked for Fredmyer off and on for 3 years due to quitting in the tri cities. I felt my job was to hostile and someone was going to come in and shoot me. Then shortly after leaving they did go in a shot up fredmyer 10 min away from my store. I had stressed several times that we dont have good security for our stores. Other then that I have been a great asset to fredmyer. I started in Deli then to quick list, with a transfer from Newport OR to Kennewick Wa where I was forced to quit due to the above situation. Working front door registatre. Then re hiried in Newport Or. I was told by HR I would be the garden lead and then two days later got a call saying sorry we gave that position to someone else. I then was set as a 12hr employee in home. I have been trying very hard to move up with the company but they proclaimed I must have 100% open availability. I find this as discrimination. I have personal life matters that limit my availability and there is no way to change the fact I'm a single mom living in a place I have no connections. The astronomical high inflation makes it unethical for me to get childcare why I work that would leave me making $4 to $7 a hour and with inflation it's not ethical for a stranger to look after my kid. I have offered to be a valid employee at fredmyer Monday to Friday 8 to 5 and they said sorry nothing we can do for you. I trained in so many areas, I dont understand why they want to see me leave rather then put me to work. I have 8 year medical background prio to fredmyer and offered to use it in the pharmacy, I have shown I can work deli, apparel, click list, home and even cross trained for grocery. I find that this is discrimination to single families. My company basically said you must sale us your soul monday to monday open to close to move up here in this company. $17.40 is not even a good manager wage. I started deli at $16.38. So, I would like to know why you make it impossible for people with limited availability to move up in your company. I was also interviewed for a manager of Starbucks and was denyed due to my availability. They stated I had to be available from 4am to 10pm and I was responsible to cover all shift that are called in and if I cant find coverage I must then cover myself. Due, to my experience it's rare to limited to ever be fully staffed and our Newport location is under staffed in every department. Now, $20 an hour I can see that but $17.40. That only 40 cents more then what taco bell is starting employees off with. I have other employees who have served 3 to 6 years and are in the same boat as me. What happened to Fredmyer being family friendly?

Fred Meyer Customer service desk operations at the Lynnwood, WA location on 196th

Two days ago on October 29th, 2022 I called the customer service desk to ask how late they were open and how late I could cash some scratch tickets I had. I had 3 tickets totaling $98.00 that I needed to have cashed. This was my only reason I traveled to this store that evening. So to not get my scratch tickets cashed at all by the store was a complete waste of my time and efforts. I take care of my disabedled father and he requires 24 hour care. So I also had to pay a caregiver to be with my father while I traveled to the store. I am clearly invested into this trip.

When I approached the customer service desk at 10:23pm there were 3 employees behind the desk. Two that were standing right nest to each other leaning over the counter as if the counter was the only thing holding them up and one other employee standing at the far right check stand. Her name was Sam, I did not get the other two employees names but I do not feel that information is needed for you guys. Why? because they were not rude to me in anyway like your employee Sam (she is a women). I went to the desk and I was asked what I needed help with and I said I needed to cash a few scratch tickets, at that point the employee turned to Sam and that is when I was told that the scratch ticket machine was shut down for the evening and the reports had been ran already. I stated at that point that I had called and was told I had until 11pm to do so. Sam spoke up and said it's ran at 10:30pm and indicated that is when they normally run the scratch ticket reports. So I kindly accepted even though it was upsetting to be told one thing and have another done. I walked out to my car and at that point I realized it was only 10:26pm. That upset me because at that point it6 was clear Sam had lied to me about what and when they might normally close out the scratch ticket cashing options. When I approched the desk Sam saw me coming and stop going her till work and walked in my direction, shutting me down from saying anything I wanted to say immediately. She had no clue what I was going to say and was already being unprofessional and combative without any word even being said between us. I did ask her about what time it was. Looking at my phone reminding her it was now only 10:28pm and if she closes the scratch tickets out at 10:30pm then she did it early and that I was being greatly affected by her actions.

At that point she said to me that she brought up the 10:30pm time to me in the first conversation we had only to tell me what time it currently was. That was a lie and was still not right because it was not even 10:30pm. She followed up by saying "Well... if you want to come back here yourself and try the machine feel free. however it will not work for my manager or myself if we even tried.

Its important you guys know that I was cashing the tickets so I could go to the only 24 hour laundry mat in the area in shoreline to wash my disabled fathers clothes. We had no money at all. I do not buy Scratch tickets, but was given those by a friend that was helping me pay for my fathers clothes to get clean.

I worked at this location many many years ago and so I know the expectations you guys have in your employees and I understand that Sam needs so more training on some customer service skills and overall respect that each and ever human being deserves as long as she is being respected in return.

Thank you for you time and understanding.

Desired outcome: A clear understanding when the scratch ticket machine is closed out for the day. It needs to be consistent regardless of who is working customer service.

Today is 10/21/22 and I waited an hour in line after being told the day before to come back and my meds weren’t ready. I was told today they aren’t ready and wouldn’t be filled untill tomorrow because they’re busy. I didn’t catch the employees name but I don’t think it’s her fault. But I have left the pharmacy empty handed and crying more often than not...

Fred Meyer Pharmacy

I have been trying to get refills on my meds fot diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression. I called the automated system and was told that they were ready. I also tried to call to verify with a real person, but nobody answered the phone.

I went to pick them up and was told that there have been some problems with my insurance. The pharmacy tech or whatever the title of the woman on the register was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes and sighed while telling me that it is an automated system. She also spread her arms and said, "As you can see, we are.ver busy and don't have time to answer the phone."

I called my insurance and addressed the issue. The insurance person had me wait on the line while the issue was cleared up, then told me that FM said they would refill my meds around 5pm.

I returned to the pharmacy at 5. stood in a really long line on a recently post op knee, and was told that my meds couldn't be filled yet. I told the woman at the register that I had called and was told that they would be ready. She insinuated that I was lying.

The woman from the morning came rushing over saying, "I TOLD HER to call her insurance!

So my issue is not so much that I cannot get my needed meds, but the dishonesty and rudeness of the staff.

BTW, about two out of three people that I observed in that long line were sent away without their meds after being given reason to believe they were reafy

Desired outcome: Fixing the automated system so it reflects realityRefill my meds in a timely manner or let me know why not before i drive all the way to the storeReplace or retrain your rude staff

Fred Meyer Pharmacy

I have had a prescription for Gabapentin 400mg for years. Consulting with my Dr. I wanted the option to take smaller doses then 400mg. To that end I was prescribed some 300mg's and 100mg's so I could taper down if I like or take smaller doses during the day or stay the same. But your pharmacist refused to fill my new prescription. Shes said in all her wisdom compared to my Dr. that she would fill 1 prescription or the other but not both. The stunning audacity of this individual as forced me to take my business to Bartells. I was at the Mill Creek Fred Meyer on Wed. 10/19/22 at 6pm.

Desired outcome: I need a pharmacy I can trust to fulfill my Dr. orders. I will be going to Bartells. I just thought you should know.

Fred Meyer The womens restroom at Hawthorne Fred Meyer

Was at Hawthorne FM today to use the women's restroom. The toilet in the stall I was dirty and obviously had not been cleaned in a while. Went out to wash my hands and every single sink was not working. Just a measly bottle of santizer on the counter. There was an employee there at the same time. I asked about this and she said FM used to have a cleaning service (which any decent store would have), but that FM decided it was too expensive to have them. She said they started having employees clean them, which is outrageous, and apparently that did not work out. The Hawthorne store is a nice one, but this situation is beyond appalling. Your employees cannot wash their hands before they return to work which is usually a policy in a food store.

Can't afford to clean your restrooms, BS. A company as large and monied as FM (Kroger gross profit for the twelve months ending July 31, 2022 was $31.124B, a 3.79% increase year-over-year), has the duty to provide and maintain basic restroom services. I will not shop here and plan to out you on Facebook.

Desired outcome: Clean up your act and your restrooms.

Fred Meyer Scanning Driver's Licenses

If you scan my Oregon driver's license,1.) is my information secure when you collect it? 2.) will you notify your customers of a data breach? 3.) What do you plan on doing with the information you received when our cards are "swiped"? Did you know that it may be illegal to scan a driver's license per O.R.S. 807.75 (2) (b)? The law states - a " private entity may not swipe an individual's driver's license or ID card..." You may want to run this by your legal department. We do not want a class action lawsuit because Fred Meyer would simply pass on the costs to their customers in the form of higher food and goods prices. I live in Boise, Idaho, and I fully support Bill MacMurchy's concern. I have no problem showing my Idaho driver's license when purchasing alcoholic beverages. (I am 75 years old.) But scanning the back of my license into Fred Meyer's database is an egregious invasion of my privacy, as the barcodes on the reverse side contain EVERYTHING that is printed on the front: full name, address, date of birth, sex, height, weight, eye color, hair color, license number, veteran status, restrictions, and probably other information that I don't even know about. I am a retired intelligence analyst, and I know how sensitive and valuable this information is, and how easily one can be exploited. Go ahead and read my age from the license, but STOP THE SCAN! (This is really stupid--my license was scanned for my purchase of non-alcoholic beer.) I will no longer purchase anything of this sort from Fred Meyer, and I will urge all my friends to do the same. Guarantees from your management that this information will not be collected or stored is laughable. And just how are you going to prove that? Color me skeptical.

Fred Meyer restrooms

on Sept. 8th I was in the Pt. Orchard store. I had to use restroom and was appalled at how dirty it was. the toilets were dirty, the sinks and the floor were also dirty. the stalls could also use cleaning. I had been in before when they were questionable but this was it. I asked a clerk if manager was in and said shev wasn't sure he was still in, so I told her and she agreed and told me the best is to send in complaint that there has been many complaints at store level and nothing gets done about them. Don't know what's going on at this store but you can see the run down throughout the store even the empolyee's don't look like they got up to come to work but rather decided to come in no matter how they looked. Has the company relaxed this much or is it poor management? Thought I would never say or think but tell you what Walmart has passed Fred Meyer in cleanliness and employee work appearness . I worked in retail for 40 plus years and never would have thought that Fred Meyer would let there stores get so bad. Thank You for your time. Disappointed customer .

Fred Meyer ClickList Devices

I work in ClickList and today (Sept. 16, 2022), I had two Harvesters that kept dropping their connection to our wifi. The connection dropped once, then reconnected, but would disconnect every time I tried scanning either the product or the totes. So, I had to switch to an old device (our RADs). But all this going back and forth cost me a lot of time and I wasn't able to finish a three o'clock cart on my own.

How can Kroger demand a pick time of 29 sec/item when our devices don't work properly? This is far from the first time this has happened, and I highly doubt it'll be the last, but it would be nice if Kroger either got us equipment that functions properly, or if they lowered their expectations of absolute perfection by raising the pick time by at least a few seconds. We can't keep hitting 29 sec/item if our devices aren't working...

Desired outcome: Either get new devices that work, or raise the pick time.

I've seen a decline in staff customer service skills these last years. Staff force customers to shop around them. Block off aisles and are not considerate. The latest experience was labor day. I decided to check out the labor day sales. I was with my 7 yr old and found some clothes. The changing room at Clackamas store weren't open. Two doors were closed...

Fred Meyer Floor is way too slick in areas

Floor is way too slick in areas, In which I was shopping and fell on my elbow and knee face first! Not only am I in pain and bruised it was quite embarrassing as well! This is a hazard to people! What if God for bed someone falls and hits their head. This should be taken care of ASAP! I will be sending a bill once my doctor gets me in. The location of this Fred Meyer is 1850 Fairview Ave., Meridian, ID.

Desired outcome: Floors should be done to have traction on them so nobody falls. I want any expenses from being hurt paid for!

Fred Meyer Fuel station manager inappropriate interaction

[protected]:00 female attendant found to be the fuel station manager was very tough with the gas hose and kept slapping it against my car and also let the gas cap drop against the car when there was a holder there for it. I expressed worry she was scratching my paint and she came unglued instead of apologizing for it and started being very snide with me. She was not a nice person and I’ve been getting gas for 20 years here. I asked another attendant for the manager and he said she was manager. When I expressed what happened and how upset I was he completely sympathized and indicated she has a temper problem and apologized profusely. I’ve never been treated so rudely and have never had my car treated like this and there are scuff marks where she slapped the hose, if they don’t buff out I’m filing a claim against your fuel station for damages. How did someone this angry earn a manager position at Fred Meyer? I want a response please.

Desired outcome: I want an apology from Fred Meyer for her behavior. She should not be in a manager position driving customers away

Fred Meyer Pharmacy refill

Hello,

Today is July 23, 2022. I went to the pharmacy for my blood pressure medication refill today. The medication is lisinopril 20mg x 1 daily. I got my normal automated text to refill this prescription one week ago. Somewhere around Monday the 18th at the latest. So I went in for the refill today and the pharmacist said I had no refill that they had to contact the doctor. I told her my last refill was June 15, 2022 last month. I told her the bottle reads I have .33 refills of 90 which is a one month supply. She told me I somehow triggered a refill request. I asked how that is possible if I still had a refill. I then told her that their pharmacy is broken. Basically the pharmacist gave me a 3 day loan, when I still have another month of prescription left. How fair is that? I have been out for the last two days. As in I’m out, and now when I called, she said she was sending that refill request in right now. The pharmacist earlier said it was already sent in. But when i put her on the spot, she said she can’t send it out until Monday. Good thing my doctor doesn’t work Monday so now I have to go without my blood pressure meds even longer. If I didn’t know, if something were to happen because I didn’t have my meds, the pharmacy at the roseburg oregon store would be held liable in every Single way. I have never had this issue with a .33 refill of 90 which is a month worth, ever turn into me not having any and triggering a refill request. This has never ever happened. The pharmacy has been neglectful and I would hope you would investigate this complaint so changes can be made. God forbid an old person die because they couldn’t have their blood pressure medicine because of a spoof such as has happened to me. I’m disgusted. If you would more information here it is. Desired outcome: Reprimand of the pharmacy official that screwed this up, if it’s an automation issue, then it needs fixed immediately!
