Freedom Mobile I Really Can't Complain

I might be the one off here, but I joined Freedom recently and must say none of the experiences I see from others shared here have happened to me, I sure hope it stays like that. From the moment I switched from Virgin and all throughout the porting process everything went very smooth and their customer service (atleast the ones I've spoken with) have been very professional and attentive. LIke I said, I joined recently, so I hope my experience stays like it is now.

Recommendation: Do your research WELL and take the time to understand their limitations and offerings

Freedom Mobile Avoid Freedommobile: Weak signal, terrible customer service, outdated plans, and no refunds! A real disappointment

If you wanna avoid this company and help yourself, just do that! I was a Freedommobile customer and stopped using their service! They don't cover a big part of Ontario. The signal is weak, or none, so you don't have access to any service! The customer service is a disaster! They don't help people. The plans are old-fashioned and not adjusted to the customers' needs! For example, once, I paid my monthly fee but, after they got the payment, they suspended my account! Even though I paid on time, after the unjustified account suspension, they never gave my money back!?! Their explanation was that they don't give money back! Again, Freedommobile doesn't give money back for the services they didn't provide! Shameful, disappointing, unprofessional...! I don't suggest Freedommobile to anyone!

Let me tell you, this company is a real disappointment. I used to be a customer of Freedommobile, but I quickly realized that they are not worth it. Their coverage in Ontario is a joke. You can forget about having a decent signal because it's either weak or non-existent. Good luck trying to get any service with that! And don't even get me started on their customer service. It's a complete catastrophe! They don't care about helping people at all.

But wait, it gets worse! Their plans are so outdated and they don't even bother adjusting them to meet their customers' needs. I mean, come on! We're in the 21st century, people! It's about time they catch up.

Let me share a personal horror story with you. Once, I paid my monthly fee on time like a responsible customer. But guess what? After they received my payment, they had the audacity to suspend my account! Can you believe that? I was furious! And to make matters worse, they never bothered to reimburse my hard-earned money. Their excuse? They don't do refunds! Can you imagine? Freedommobile doesn't believe in giving money back for services they failed to provide. It's absolutely shameful, disappointing, and unprofessional.

So, take my advice and steer clear of Freedommobile. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of headaches and frustration. There are much better options out there that actually value their customers. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Freedom Mobile Disappointing Data and Call Quality: A Costly Mistake

Let me tell you something. I was giving them almost $100 a month for their top-notch package back in the day, which was like 10 to 15GB of data. But guess what? After you hit that limit, they would just slow down your data to a crawl. It's like they're cutting you off completely. And let me tell you, I never even came close to using up all that data because their service was always dropping wherever I went. It was so slow that I would just turn off my mobile data and mooch off Walmart's Wi-Fi while sitting in my car. Yeah, it's that bad.

And don't even get me started on making calls. Most of the time, I couldn't even get through. I would have to wait forever before the dialer even popped up, and even then, I considered myself lucky if the call didn't drop completely.

Now, maybe they've made some changes since then to improve themselves. But you know what? First impressions are important, and this company did not leave a good one on me.

Freedom Mobile Incompetent and Misleading: Freedom Mobile's Transfer Process is a Frustrating Nightmare

This company, Freedom Mobile, is absolutely incompetent. All I wanted to do was transfer my number from Koodo, but no, it's not that simple. They require you to get a "temporary number" in order to set up an account and start the transfer process. And guess what? They conveniently fail to mention this until you receive your SIM card and attempt to activate it.

I wasted a whole 35 minutes on their so-called "support" trying to figure out why my number and PIN weren't in their system. It's ridiculous.

So, fine, give me a temporary number, I thought. But guess what? You have to physically go to one of their stores to get this temporary number. Can you believe it? How can a supposed technology company not be capable of remotely providing a temporary number?

And to make matters worse, I had already filled out all their forms and spent nearly an hour setting everything up just to get the SIM card in the first place. And it never even occurred to the person I was speaking with to mention this requirement? Unbelievable.

What a complete waste of my precious time. I should have known better than to deal with a company owned by Shaw. Lesson learned.

Freedom Mobile Terrible Experience with Freedom Mobile: Hidden Fees, Slow Speeds, and Poor Customer Service

My experience with this company, Freedom Mobile, has been absolutely terrible. They claim to have "no hidden fees or surprises," but let me tell you, everything is hidden in their Terms and Conditions. It's just like any other network, except their speeds are slower, there are dead zones everywhere, and surprise roaming charges are a regular occurrence.

Their referral program is a complete mess and they really need to do a better job of explaining it. I referred three people, but I only received credit for one because this communication company can't seem to communicate properly - what a joke!

The only reason I can tolerate Freedom Mobile is because I work from home and have a more reliable provider for my home wifi. Not only does my home wifi provider have better customer service, but they also know how to keep their loyal customers happy. Freedom Mobile's network is of such low quality and their rates are subpar. It should never be your main source of network unless you're desperate and have an abundance of patience to save a few bucks.

There are other Canadian carriers out there that are much more reliable and offer competitive rates. They actually value your business and provide quality customer care. So, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Freedom Mobile if you want a hassle-free and reliable network experience.

Freedom Mobile Frustrating Experience with Freedom Mobile's Customer Service and Lack of Results

I had a really frustrating experience today when I called Freedom Mobile to switch my mobile plan from my old Apple Watch to my new one. I was on the phone for a whopping 90 minutes, and let me tell you, it was like being passed around like a soccer ball! I got transferred from one agent to another a total of 5 times, and guess what? I didn't get any results at all! Can you believe it?

To make matters worse, I was actually at the Freedom Mobile store while I was on this never-ending call. And let me tell you, everyone in the store could hear my call. They were all laughing and sympathizing with me, which was nice, but it just added to my embarrassment. I mean, who wants their personal business broadcasted like that?

When I finally mustered up the courage to ask for a supervisor, guess what happened? They never connected me! Can you believe the nerve? So now, here I am, stuck with a mobile plan for not one, but two mobile phone numbers and an Apple Watch. I was actually considering getting another number for my daughter, but after this whole ordeal, I'm seriously rethinking my decision to do business with Freedom Mobile.

Honestly, I'm beyond disappointed with their service. I'm seriously considering switching to Fido or some other provider. I mean, why should I stick around with a company that treats their customers like this? It's just not right.

But you know what? I do want to give a shoutout to the employees at the Freedom Mobile store. They were actually really nice and understanding. They witnessed the whole debacle and were just as shocked as I was about the terrible customer service I received. So, kudos to them for being the only bright spot in this whole mess.

All in all, I'm just really disappointed with Freedom Mobile. I expected better, and they let me down. Tomorrow, I'm definitely going to explore other options and see if I can find a provider that actually values their customers.

Freedom Mobile Incompetent and Frustrating Tech Support: My Experience with Freedom Mobile

Tech/mobile support these days is unfortunately pretty bad, but Freedom Mobile takes the cake. Their support staff is unbelievably incompetent, only capable of regurgitating information from a basic cheat sheet. They have zero listening or engagement skills. I wasted hours of my time both in-store and on the phone, trying to resolve an issue that was initially promised to be a quick fix. As I was passed along the technical support line, each FM representative contradicted what the previous one had told me. This is now the second time I've wasted countless hours trying to solve a minor technical problem that was actually on Freedom Mobile's end, not a user error. It's frustrating to be constantly referred to the wrong level of support and have to repeat the same information over and over again. On top of all that, their cell coverage is extremely limited and their pricing is on par with other providers. I've had enough of Freedom Mobile and I'm switching my family to another provider, hoping for a better experience.

Freedom Mobile Freedom Mobile's US Roaming Feature is a Complete Disappointment

If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Let me tell you about my experience with Freedom Mobile. So, I signed up for their 40G US-CAN plan, thinking I could enjoy seamless calling and data usage in both countries. Boy, was I wrong! Turns out, their US Roaming feature doesn't work at all. It's basically just a Canadian plan with no calling capabilities when you're in the US. And to make matters worse, they limit your data usage to a measly 25% per month while you're across the border.

Now, before switching to Freedom Mobile, I had an old plan with Chatr, which was still working fine in the US. It was a 3G service that I had inherited from Mobilicity. Despite knowing that it wasn't supposed to work, I decided to trade it in for Freedom Mobile's so-called "better" plan. What a mistake that was!

Let's talk about their customer service, or should I say, lack thereof. When people say that dealing with Freedom Mobile's customer service is a nightmare, they are not exaggerating one bit. First of all, you can't even dial 611 to reach them. Can you believe that? It's like they don't want to hear from their customers. And to top it off, their 800 number doesn't work if you're outside of Canada. So, if you're traveling and encounter any issues, good luck getting in touch with their customer service. It's frustrating beyond belief.

I also have to mention the incredibly long and frustrating process my mom went through to port her number to Freedom Mobile. It took a whopping 10 months for them to finally get it right. Can you imagine? Ten months of back and forth, just to transfer a simple phone number. It's absolutely ridiculous.

And let's not forget about the actual cell service itself. While it seemed to work fine in Canada, the moment I crossed the border, it was a different story. I reached out to their technical support for help, but the person on the other end of the line hung up on me before I could even explain my problem. Talk about terrible customer service!

To make matters worse, Freedom Mobile only shares one band with AT&T in the US and two with T-Mobile. This means that while my T-Mobile service showed LTE, Freedom Mobile was stuck on T-Mobile EDGE, which is basically 2G service. It's like going back in time!

So, my advice to anyone considering Freedom Mobile is simple: if you want reliable cell service in the US, get a US service provider. Don't bother with roaming or relying on Freedom Mobile's promises. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration.

Freedom Mobile Terrible Cellular Service - Run Away from Freedom Mobile!

If you're thinkin' 'bout signin' up for this service, give yer head a good smack and RUN!

Hands down the WORST cellular service I've ever experienced - and I've tried A LOT!

They should never have even signed me up for their network, 'cause my phone (Samsung A30s) ain't compatible with their system. Then they blamed ME for not knowin' that. No credit for the money wasted that was billed to my credit card for 3 months as I travelled 'bout with a useless paperweight of a phone in my pocket - I could only use it when connected to Wifi, 'cause Freedom Mobile certainly did not offer the freedom to do so.

After explainin' to Saed, the manager, on the phone (usin' a phone supplied by a mall kiosk, since mine couldn't place calls), he asked if I would consider keepin' the service with a $5/mth credit applied. I don't think he listened to a word I said (and that was after speakin' to three other, equally unhelpful, "agents"). He refused any form of compensation for the charges to my credit card, commandin' me to go to their website to view their service agreement. (I'd think you'd have to actually offer a service before you draft such an agreement - so it's more of a "non-service agreement", really.)

Poor service, horrible coverage areas, and even worse customer service.

It don't get any worse than this, folks. Do yourself a favour, and RUN already!

Freedom Mobile Disappointing Experience with Freedom Mobile: Lack of Consent and Insensitive Treatment

I've been with Freedom Mobile for just over 4 years, and I was on a prepaid plan and quite happy with it. But all of a sudden, they switched me to a monthly bill without my consent, and they never informed me about any spending cap. There have been times when I went 2 months without paying, but I always paid in full on the third bill. The circumstances were different then, as money was tight, and I didn't call in to let them know about the situation. I thought I would pay it in full when I got my paycheck on Friday. So, the first person I spoke to gave me a promise to pay due to my emergency circumstances. They can clearly see all the calls I make to victim services, the police, and Canadian mental health victim protection. I'm not just talking to friends on my phone; it's all emergency people I need to be in contact with.

But today, the girl I spoke to said, "I'm sorry, but your spending cap on your account is $15 with your new bill coming out." I said, "Okay, but that's not happening until April 8th, so what's the deal?" We just kept going in circles, and I felt like I was talking to a bot. I would have made more progress if I hadn't been dealing with Freedom. So, my suggestion is, don't use Freedom Mobile if you have crazy exes who stalk you and the cops could potentially tap or jam your phone. Because afterwards, Freedom treats you like a criminal. And if you have any type of mental health issues related to domestic violence, rape, or any type of brutality or trauma, they treat you like you don't exist or matter. Go to Bell instead. They might be a little more expensive, but they're amazing when it comes to trauma and emergency services in general, for both men and women.

Freedom Mobile Freedom Mobile's Ineptitude: A Nightmare Experience with Porting Numbers

Honest Review? I'm in Toronto, Canada. I got three lines from Freedom for my kids (my wife and I are with Rogers). I gotta say with full confidence that this is the MOST inept, backwards, disorganized company on planet Earth (think back to the Rogers days when they held the title). In each of my three instances, I have to port a number over. Numbers that I bought that cost me $250 each. I have 30 days to port them or I lose them. I gave all the info to Freedom on day one at the store in person. I made him repeat it twice as the info has to match perfectly or the port will get rejected. He had it perfect, told me it would take an hour (bull$#*! I know better than that). 4 days later, no love, I call (I input my phone number when prompted and pin when prompted, then when I speak to a rep they ask me for what? Yes, my number and my pin) already disgruntled but I gotta get this number ported. The rep asks me for the porting info all over again, argh! Says 3 more days. 4 days later, nothing, my porting co (numbershack) tells me they are trying everything they can to get Freedom to accept but they haven't done anything on their end. I call back, (I get hung up on twice) they ask me for all the info again (this is 4 hours now of talking to different people). I go on vacation, I come back, still hasn't been ported. By now I'm freaking out cause I have a week before I lose that number. I call back, ask for a supervisor. I get hung up on after 30 minutes of dilly dallying. I finally get Yassin. 30 more minutes, he tells me he is going to personally look into it and will call me back within 2-3 hours. That was yesterday. No call back, no nothing. Don't know what to do. Do I sue for the loss of my number? I already paid for the service in full for a year (on day one of trying to port this number). The other 2 numbers I bought a year ago, same bull$#*!, took 2 weeks and three phone calls but this time it's different, this time the customer service reps are worse than last year if that's possible and I blame upper management for ill-trained employees, not having a VR that transfers input into reps' CRM, and for being totally ignorant of customers' pain and anguish with no due process to escalate. My three numbers expire next year then I am out. Thank God my wife and I stuck with Rogers, at least that service is stable and they are now well-trained (wasn't always the case, I had words with their then VP Mike Adams as I was in the industry and he promised he would make changes and he did). Other than that, Freedom prices are good, just pray you don't need support for anything cause that is non-existent.

Freedom Mobile VoLTE not active

Hi there,

I have dealing with the issue of VoLTE since day ineni switched from Rogers to Freedom Mobile by Bri going three lines in my account t. However, I have discussed that issue with the technical support and they have been just opening the service tickets but not addressing or resolving my concern. Instead, they are closing the service ticket without providing a resolution or contacting me, by pretending that im not available. My cell phone [protected],3599 and 4304.

Claimed loss: Not able to have a normal voice communication and no one is able to communicate with on the phone anymore. Why do I need a service like that?

Desired outcome: Activate my VoLTE on three of my lines as the voice communication is really bad and sometimes I do not even understand what the other person is talking about, like my voice shaking, and cutting constant noisy background.

Freedom Mobile Deceptive Sales Tactics: Hidden Cancellation Clause Leaves Me Regretting My Decision

I got totally hooked when the sales guy told me a big fat lie about the plan. He conveniently forgot to mention that I could cancel within 15 days. Can you believe it? I only found out about this sneaky clause when I got my first bill. And guess what? I had already signed the agreement without even bothering to read the whole thing. Talk about regret!

Freedom Mobile Unacceptable Billing Practices: Freedom Mobile Charges for Unused Service and Refuses Refund

So, I recently decided to cancel my account with Freedom Mobile. I did it over the phone and thought everything was sorted out. But guess what? They kept charging me for three whole months of service that I didn't even use! Can you believe that?

Naturally, I called them up to complain and get my money back. And you know what they said? They admitted that they knew about the problem and apologized for it, but guess what? They couldn't give me a refund! Can you believe the nerve of these guys?

Honestly, this is just not acceptable. If you ask me, you should steer clear of Freedom Mobile and go with a real company instead. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of headaches and frustration.

Freedom Mobile Freedom Mobile: Cheap but Frustrating - Roaming Charges & Billing Nightmares

Freedom Mobile is a pretty cheap option, but it does have some big downsides. One of the main issues is the constant roaming charges. If you happen to leave a big city, forget about having any coverage at all. It's a real pain in the neck. And let's not even get started on the monthly calls you have to make just to sort out the billing mess. It's like a never-ending cycle of confusion. Even though you're on a plan, your bill is never the same. It's enough to drive you up the wall. Dealing with their call centre is a whole other story. It's just plain awful. The people on the other end of the line are hard to understand and the whole experience is beyond frustrating.

Stay away from Freedom Mobile. The internet service is terrible, and I had to pay a $50 deposit. When I decided to disconnect from Freedom, I asked for a refund of my deposit, but it never arrived. I've been waiting for 16 weeks and have contacted a manager, who told me to wait until I receive it. This is the kind of customer service you can expect when you're no longer a customer.

Freedom Mobile is an absolutely terrible company, let me tell you. Their customer service is just plain awful. They keep overcharging us, and it's a real pain in the neck. Freedom Mobile Freedom Mobile's Inability to Protect Customers from Scam Calls Raises Serious Concerns

Freedom Mobile is the absolute worst cell carrier in Canada, hands down. I recently had to reach out to their support team due to the incessant annoyance of Chinese and Indian scam calls. Let me tell you, their assistance was next to useless. It's not just a mere coincidence that when I called for tech support, I was greeted by someone who spoke Punjabi. This has led me to firmly believe that these Indian individuals in Canada are involved in some shady business, selling customer information to scammers from their own country.

To make matters worse, it seems like Freedom Mobile's cell network is constantly under attack by these scammers. They somehow manage to hack into the network and cleverly use the forwarding feature to cover their tracks. It's a never-ending battle, and Freedom Mobile seems ill-equipped to handle it.

I must say, it's incredibly frustrating to deal with such a lackluster carrier. The fact that they can't protect their customers from these scam calls is a major letdown. It's high time Freedom Mobile takes some serious action to address this issue and ensure the safety and privacy of their customers.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Freedom Mobile as your cell carrier in Canada. Their inability to effectively deal with scam calls and protect customer information is a major concern. It's time for them to step up their game and provide the reliable and secure service that customers deserve.

Freedom Mobile Terrible Provider: Waste of Money, No Signal, Exceeded Data Limit in Minutes

I really regret switching to this provider, it's been a big mistake. I strongly advise staying away from them! They are the worst provider I have ever come across. Their company site towers are absolutely terrible. Whether you are using their services locally or even when roaming outside of the country, it's just a waste of money. They are completely useless and not at all convenient. Every time I try to use my data and look for a signal, I am surprised within just two minutes by a text message informing me that I have exceeded my limit. It's not even worth paying them for their services because you can't even use your data due to the lack of signal. My experience with this provider has been extremely terrible.

Freedom Mobile Terrible Customer Service and False Promises: My Disappointing Experience with Freedom Mobile

The customer service at Freedom Mobile is absolutely terrible, let me tell you. I had a conversation with one of their supervisors, and let me tell you, she seemed like she couldn't wait to get off the phone with me. I mean, I had been waiting for a whopping 45 minutes on hold, and she just wanted to rush through the call as quickly as possible. Talk about unpleasant!

Now, here's where things really went downhill. When I signed up for a plan, they promised me a $10 discount for a whole year. But guess what? They only gave me 11 months of that discount. Can you believe it? So, naturally, I brought it up with the supervisor, and you know what she said? She had the audacity to argue with me and claim that they had already given me the full 12 months. I mean, come on! It's like she doesn't even know how to count!

I was so disappointed with this whole experience. I wouldn't recommend Freedom Mobile to anyone, not even my worst enemy. They really need to hire some people who actually know what they're talking about when it comes to their products. It's just a big mess, let me tell you. Stay far away from this company if you know what's good for you.

Freedom Mobile Disastrous Experience with Freedom Mobile: Overcharged, Terrible Customer Service, and Frustrating Call Disconnections

So, I decided to upgrade my plan during the Black Friday sale on Freedom Mobile's website. I was pretty excited because I was going from a measly 10 GB to a whopping 50 GB of data. The website said it would only cost me $45, which seemed like a steal. But boy, was I in for a surprise!

When I checked my bank statement, I saw that they had charged me a whopping $70 instead of the promised $45. I was furious! I immediately called their customer service line, hoping to get this sorted out. But let me tell you, it was a nightmare trying to get through to someone who could help.

I must have called them a dozen times, and each time I was met with indifference and a lack of willingness to fix their own mistake. It felt like I was talking to a brick wall! But after what felt like an eternity, I finally managed to speak to a supervisor. And you won't believe what he had the audacity to say to me.

He actually had the nerve to tell me to just pay the $70 for this month and they would fix it next month. Can you believe that? They wanted me to pay for their own mistake! Talk about a rip-off! I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

What's even worse is that they don't seem to have any respect for their loyal customers. I've been with them for years, and this is how they treat me? It's just not right. And to top it all off, their customer service line is based in Egypt, which made things even more frustrating.

I can't even count how many times the call got disconnected. It happened a total of four times! Can you imagine the frustration of waiting on hold for hours, only to have the call drop? It's absolutely ridiculous. I wasted a good five hours just trying to get through to someone who could help me.

I mean, come on! They're a phone company, for crying out loud! You'd think they would have a reliable customer service line. But no, it was a constant struggle just to get someone on the line.

Overall, my experience with Freedom Mobile has been nothing short of a disaster. They charged me more than they should have, refused to fix their mistake, and treated me like I didn't matter. And don't even get me started on their customer service line. It's a complete joke.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Freedom Mobile to think twice. Trust me, you don't want to go through what I went through. Save yourself the headache and find a different provider. You'll thank me later.

Freedom Mobile Terrible customer service and deceptive practices: my experience with freedom mobile

The customer service from Freedom Mobile is absolutely terrible, whether you're dealing with representatives from the Philippines or Egypt. I specifically asked for a Canadian customer service representative, but instead, I ended up with someone from Quebec who was just as awful. Last month, I signed a contract for 6 gigs of data at $50, but this month, they're offering 20 gigs for the same price. The customer service representatives simply don't care and don't offer any help or improvements.

Before I signed the contract, I was using their pay-as-you-go service and had just paid for a new month. However, when I decided to explore a contract, they conveniently failed to mention that the pay-as-you-go balance is non-refundable and cannot be used as a credit towards the first invoice of the contract. It's clear that all they care about is getting you to sign the contract and then moving on to the next unsuspecting customer. This company is shamelessly terrible.

I've had enough of their poor service, and I plan on calling them to buy myself out of the contract and get rid of them once and for all.

Got a text message from freedom for a upgrade and went to the retail store and got treated like I was trying to scam them, would not help in anyway. So I called freedom office and In turn they tried to get me to give them a credit card number for direct payment and a credit check.

I moved from Roger’s to freedom and asked to keep my number

They didn’t do that now I am sitting. Or able to get any call from my work.

Tried to contact customer service they told me it’s a system limitation and they hang up the phone
