Customer Service is terrible
Just like Dawoud A. I too spoke to Ulysses, and he was power tripping. Instead of accepting reasonable terms for an outstanding balance of $118, he suspended my service on the onset of COVID19, reported me to the credit bureau. In addition, their current changes mean you have to make a chat request for a callback. They don't listen, they waste hours of your time, and all for slightly cheaper service than TELUS. It's bargain basement customer service from Koodoo.
Contract
When offered new phones an tablet, there are things they didn't explain. I was not told about tablet data plan. I have to pay for data plan when I don't need it. It's part of a package I was not told about. Giving them $15 a month for something I done need or use. They can't take just data off contract without shutting down tablet completely and balance due. Wasn't told about this.

Customer Service
It is impossible to speak to a person. I tried calling the customer service number and it just directs me to an online robot then hangs up. The robot was unable to resolve my issue, so what now? The soonest option it gives me to speak to a person via callback is 5 hours from the time I am requiring assistance, when I will not be available. Absolutely unacceptable.
The password reset link is not working, as it did not recognize that all requirements were met and therefore would not allow me to reset my password, no matter what I tried. A human customer service representative is required when the issue is a technical error because the robot just keeps you going in circles with no resolution. Useless! The suggestions the robot provides are all things I could figure out myself online; there is a reason I am calling.
There needs to be a human customer service representative available to answer calls. This is something I would switch providers over.
Desired outcome: Speaking to a person in a timely manner whenever I require assistance.

Fraudulent withdrawals on my credit card for old prepay account
I was a previous Koodo Prepaid customer for over 7 years with3 phone numbers and switched to Freedom Mobile in December. After reviewing my Credit card Koodo has been taking $16.95 from my card illegally and without my authorization for 1 of my old numbers [protected] being used by some new Koodo customer. Cell phone was never delievered , after contract cancelled, charges continued
Upgraded my package mid sept.,2023. with a new MOTO cell phone included. Through DHL, but never received. Tried to contact koodo, never got a contact live person to talk to? Cancelled and switch to another Company. BUT charges on that rolling in since then. tried all ways to sontact live persons to discuss, failed. Went to talk to staffs on locations, nothing achieved.

Plan and customer service
I purchased a plan from Koodo mobile after I faced worst service from Freedom mobile. Initially they offered me a plan with discounts and credits. After few months they offered me a better plan saying that your discounts and credits will continue. They continued for couple of months but suddenly they stopped giving me discounts and credits. When I got a call from customer care team they started blaming me that I downgraded the plan so discounts and credits cannot continue. I told them that your representative offered me new downgraded plan but they did not believe me and refused to give me discounts and credits.
In few days I will be switching away from these cheaters and also suggest everyone to stay away from them!

first of all, I am new customer, but got pissed off even in the first phase. I had applied for the SIM card and has not got the delivery yet. On line store
I agreed to purchase a certified pre owned Samsung S21 Ultra 5G phone for 0$ down and 24 month Tab Plus. After many tries to order the phone I went to a local Koodo store where I was advised they could not help me but I probably had to accept a new plan?!
Several more attempts to change the plan and order the phone got me as far as the good old incompatible with your outbox message. I requested and received a support call and your tech was able to guide me through the hoops and get the phone on order.
when the phone arrived a digit designating our house number somehow was left off the address so the delivery co. didn't leave the phone. they called, I gave them the correct info and they tried to deliver the phone the following day. I left early in the am and returned just as the delivery van pulled out of the drive. so I waited to the following day for the phone. Who has the luxury to sit at home to sign for a delivery these days?!
I charged and setup the device and processed all the updates.
everything worked but the camera was out of focus. I checked all the settings, went through all the permissions, looked at all the options. I could manually select each lens which worked except for the primary lens which remained out of focus for anything over a meter or so.
I went back on line to return the phone and your web site sent me back to the local store for the return. again I was told they couldn't help me and advised me to email the koodo.
Following the advice I emailed Koodo whom asked for a number on my original order receipt however the number they described isn't on the receipt.
I emailed pdf copies of both the order confirmation and the shipping email we received. I also indicated the order was placed with the assistance of a Koodo support agent.
koodo emailed me back saying no problem and offered me two choices, return the phone or receive another phone of the same specifications. I asked for a replacement. today I received an email asking me to respond to the original order confirmation which clearly states do not reply to this email?!
at this point I'd like to return this phone to koodo. Please just give me an address to send it to and I'll happily pay for any and all costs and insurance as may be necessary.
after which we will close our accounts with Koodo and move on to hopefully a little more organised company.
Desired outcome: I started wanting a phone but now I just want to get ride of this non-functioning device and get away form on line chats, emails and constant frustration!

I believe it’s absolutely ridiculous and robing ppl of their time that this organization forces their customers to go from the phone to text to automated agent who clearly is a waste of time just to be able to talk to a customer service representative.
I understand you’re trying to reduce the calls for lazy people however, the most disrespectful thing in organization can do to their consumers is waste of time and this system does nothing but waste peoples time to schedule a call back and you expect people to wait for that call with an addition 30 minute window .
Obviously if I could resolve my issue through self-serve, I would, however wait having to wait 24 hours for a callback is unacceptable. I’m getting text messages saying I’m roaming in the US when in fact I’m in Canada and my roaming on my cell is turned off ! WTF !

I have been hospitalized since may27/23, battling pneumonia. My daughter tried to contact Koodo to discuss payment they refused despite her phone being on the account. I finally was able to talk slightly because I have damaged vocal chords Friday June 15/23, where I told them what was going on that the outstanding would be paid on june30/23 $222 and this months in July 15/23. $222 They said fine . I got an email today stating to pay $222 now or they would disconnect. Agent today said they can’t do that because I missed last payment arrangement which I didn’t I actually paid early then belligerent rude . Said he’d do it as a favour Drs made me hang up because it was cause alarms to go off
