Freelancer.com freelance services

Beware of www.freelancer.com scam.
This company is using deceiving methods to make its users, people who hire freelancers (employers) to deposit money claiming that funds will be stored in the escrow account and it should be released to the freelancer (employee) only by the account owner (employer) if the account owner (employer) is satisfied with the work done.
This is not the true, the money will be never refunded or returned to the account owner (employer), without any account owner's consent www.freelancer.com keeps any funds deposited in a form of the so called milestones. In case if the account owner does not find the work performed by freelancer satisfactory and does not wish to release funds to the freelancer the company demands to pay $30 for the arbitrage to review the possibility of returning money back to the account owner. If the account owner does not wish to pay the extortion amount of the $30 the arbitrage team of www.freelancer.com automatically decides dispute in favor of the party that paid $30.
This is a clear case deception and scam practices utilized by www.freelancer.com

Freelancer.com I am a customer and in my opinion they are unethical

They overcharged my credit card for services not requested. The agreed amount was $60.99, they posted $256.05. Upon my complaint, they insisted I was to blame and threatened legal action against me. Their dispute resolution methods are a joke because they never resolve anything only delay, delay, delay. It took months to straighten out and I had to resort to blocking further charges from Freelance thru my credit card company. My opinion stay away from this fraudulent company and these people.

Freelancer.com freelancer not maintaining words integrity

I am current user of freelancer.com and I had old membership of freelancer before changing new membership plan at time of changing membership plan freelancer keep my previous plan and said it will be same for me until I do not change and it will not available for new user or after upgrade of membership.

So I keep my old plan and was renewing it timely without any problem but freelancer suddenly changed my plan after one year by giving reason we do not have this membership available on freelancer. When I told freelancer.com that it's my old plan and I had notification as well displaying on my membership plan this plan is not longer available but it will remain same for me until I do not change then why you add new plan in my membership.
So this was freelancer reply "Freelancer.com did not make any agreement with you"

I was shocked if they were not looking to keep my old plan then why they were displaying message on page you can use this.

In new plan I found that they are charging 10% on project fee and in my previous plan it was not.

I know freelancer.com have all right but they should not commit any thing if they could follow.

Freelancer ban our profile if we do not follow any condition immediately but not applying any word on them self. it's point of rule and regulation we every one is doing hard work and freelancer is earning

Freelancer.com service

Hello everyone.
www.freelancer.com this website cheating their clients with many hiding fees. as they call "Third party fee" or "Processing fee". Which is not indicated during the payment. You may find this only in transaction history, after they cheated you. And there is no money refund for such kind of an action. Recommend everyone complain them, also through a Paypal
They show to clients one amount but in fact deduct other (much high). Dont recommend you to use this website to anyone

Freelancer.com milestone unpaid but freelancer.com fee charged

This is the second time I have problem with freelancer.com. This is of course not the only freelancing platform I work with. And honestly it comes out as the most problematic of all. The detail of my complaint will also show how their system is not working-at least for me!

I took one job with my zero account balance and they charged the commission so my balance went to minus. This first employer was problematic/unresponsive and I had to dispute.

In the meanwhile, I took another job. Again the commission was charged. The 2nd employer was new to the platform but was responsive and tried to make the payment. However, because my account balance was minus, they couldn't!

After the dispute was resolved and my account balance was above zero, I contacted the 2nd client and guess what, they were unresponsive this time. Due to the time past I cannot dispute it either. I know that they funded the payment to escrow but they may think I already received it.

Of course, the freelancer.com commission is paid and now I have no way to at least recover the commission. Such a disappointment.

Freelancer.com freelancer.com

There was an ad that said "bring your client" 0 feed. I did then the blocked my account and told me I wasnt allowed to work with people I know. Next they asked me to verify my account presumably because they wanted the money. I put my id which is a federal real id and they asked me for a second id. Being I only have the one id and I live out of state of where my id is it was basically impossible or very difficult to do this. My account remains suspended. I asked them 20 questions not one answer was received even though it said communicate through here. Also, half accounts are fake or not really from the us I can prove it. This is the worst freelancer website and I even got send a virus that thankfully I did not open. Don't join!

Freelancer.com closing an account

Freelancer.com have suspended my account after I confirm my card details. I have $20 plus the money they deducted on my card. I tried to contact the website to ask why my account was closed, they only responded that I have violated a term regarding their Give-Get Program. I did not do anything after the registration and did not take any jobs. There are no other means of contacting them aside from their support where in it will not provide a complete details to why the account was closed. I tried to send new tickets and request to have an explanation but it seems that the ticket is being closed without any action. They were just sending me emails to take their customer satisfaction survey. Same thing happened to another person I know. This has to be addressed or I will raise it to someone that will close this website for scamming people.

Freelancer.com the worst scum of the internet

I don't even know where to start. These people will do their best to steal your money, or keep your money for themselves, instead of giving it back or releasing the funds to the worker. These people are nothing but trouble. If you want to have a frustrating situation that turns into a nightmare of bureaucray, just create an account on their website and see what happens.
First, they asked me to verify my facebook, then they asked me to verify my card. By then I had a "70 points" trust, which means i am very trustworthy to do business with. None of that matters when it comes to releasing your payment to the freelancer who worked for you.
These scammers now are asking me to verify my cellphone number. Since I have a new cellphone number, I cannot verify it because it doesn't let me change to my new cellphone number. Meanwhile, my freelancer has been working non-stop for more than 10 days and just when i am about to release my payment i realize these scammers are making every single possible thing to make this as complex and as bureaucratic as possible, so that they keep the money in the end. I will keep pushing forward but after this disgusting incident, I don't wanna hear about this horrible website ever again.
I am now in the process of talking to them so that they can manually change my cellphone number, so that it can be verified, if they come up with a new problem, I will report back to you the rest of the nightmare.

Freelancer.com freelancer.com supported fraud scamsters

Today I was duped of Rs.2000 through freelancer.com. Someone posted a project and I applied for it. The client asked me to add him on whatsapp. He created a group with another US number. The numbers are +[protected] and +[protected]. He created a project worth $100 and released the payment to me. He asked to me to send a transfer of Rs.2000 to a local friend through paytm. The local friend's number was [protected] of someone called Nikhil.

After 2 hours, the client reversed the payment of $100 on freelancer.com. Freelancer.com did so without even sending me any email notification. After a while when a checked my account, I came to know that I have been duped.

It seems such fraudulent clients are being supported by freelancer.com. They have enabled a faulty system in which a client can claim refund and reverse payments without any hassles! What a way to fraud innocent freelancers!

Freelancer.com you are promoting scams and frauds through your website.

Freelancer.com money in financial dashboard is not transferred

Hello,
I had 9994.64 amount in my free lancer account, for which I initiated a transfer on 25 August with express withdrawal option into my bank account, which was supposed to come in my account on 10sep and when I try to check the status on my financial dashboard you guys blocked my account . I have not received the amount till date. Please beware I'll take legal actions against the firm if my amount is not given back to me under fraud and cheating section.
Screen shot has been attached for your reference.
Show quoted text
But what I don't understand is once the amount was in my dashboard how the transaction can be reversed. This does not make sense to me. I want my money that I have worked for. This is cheating how does it relate to his account being closed. When the money was in my financial dashboard. Please give me my money otherwise I'll take legal actions against the company. This my last request before I iniate investigation and use social media/e news to spread how you cheat people under the name of terms and conditions.

Repeated reminders to the company and they have the reply your employer account was blocked. He had transferred me the money and amount was in my financial dashboard, but you guys have blocked my account for no reason. I'm only asking for the money I worked for.

Freelancer.com freelancer.com deducted money from my account/balance because my employer had violated terms and conditions.

Employer paid me in full but he had violated terms and conditions which i was not aware of. After 24 hours freelancer refunded the project and deducted all my money.

It is just not fair. I am very demotivated and lost trust on freelancer.com
I do not have any problem with the employer. The employer paid me in full even before i started the project. I then completed the project as i was already paid and did not have to worry about the employer not releasing the milestone. But after 24 hours freelancer deducted all the money from my account which was paid to me by the employer. The reason they gave was the employer violated terms and conditions which i was obviously not aware of. I was given a project. I completed it and got paid without any problem. now if an employer violates the terms and condition of freelancer then it is between freelancer.com and that employer. I had nothing to do with it. So freelancer deducting the money from my account is just stealing the money which i earned. I have been in a bad mood the entire day. Don't feel like working anymore with freelancer. The money they deducted from me with that money i could have bought almost 22-23 months of Plus Membership with them. Just disappointing. And if the employer violated terms and conditions then his project should have been taken down which was not done. only after 24 hours freelancer had taken down the project when it was already completed and paid for.

Freelancer.com data entry typing work

I am from India. I was looking for online typing jobs/work from home jobs. I applied in freelancer.com also. On july 3rd i got a phone call from a lady named Reshmi Nair (number: [protected]) and told me they had shortlisted some including me from the applicants, and told will send me pdf files/images and I had to type in word and submit it before July17. It was 20pages and absolutly free and will get a payment of 18400 for this trial project and if i could achieve above 90% accuracy, i would get appointed as the company's employ and could draw a monthly salary of 28000 including PF and all for 1 year. I submitted the project on time and after July 18 i got a message that i had achieved the accuracy and got appointed as their employ and had to pay an annual charge of 3884 which is refundable to release my salary of the trial project work. I ignored it and didnt pay. After few days, Reshmi called me again and convinced me that it is completly genuine and that amount would be refunded after 15 working days and will credit my salary on 28th July. I paid the amount through Tez app. I paid only thinking about the genuity and good will of freelancer. I called her on July 28th morning and she told me that my salary will get credited soon and my client is todays choice of UK and they will call me directly for work. But after that all their phone numbers and whatsapp id and email id got freezed. I didn't get any money and got cheated by them in the name of freelancer. The email id from where I got mails were reshmi.[protected]@gmail.com and reshmi.[protected]@gmail.com. The cash I deposited was credited to the account of Gadha Ghoni Sashikala. and their Tez id was freelancer.uk.[protected]@okhdfcbank. Now they are completly out of radar. Can't imagine that I got cheated by such a reputed company

If you were kind enough to go through my transactions, thanks.
They were actually my initial ones, I had just started working the day before yesterday, although, I created my account in the year 2016, Jan.

You'd probably know after reading the transactions, that I was awarded 600+550 on 13th of may, and today that is 16th may, It was deducted right away, and my remaining balance is -660, you might ask how it became negative because these people have taken immense pride in reducing people's cash, in the name of transaction fee.
I'm totally fine with that. My question here is, why would you deduct my money, from my first and best project, which I have completed successfully.
At least tell me, In which aspect I have gone wrong.
Please give me back my hard work's result. I still have a lot of work to do. I have nothing against your company, but what your doing to us is really really wrong.

Freelancer.com stole my hard earned money, made my account in negative

Hi,

I joined freelancer.com in Jan 2014. I invested around four years to build my profile at freelancer.com.

Its takes lots of hard work and effort to get a client and make money. I paid 10% as project commission too for every project I get.

Suddenly, I found that they deducted whatever I had in my account and made my account in NEGATIVE around $600+

They closed accounts of some clients for whom I delivered the projects and reversed the payment.

If client was not verified or genuine then how they allowed to post project at their site.

Their administrator reversed even some one year old projects.

I did very hard work to delivered the project, invest lots of time to build profile also gave 10% and sometime more for same project. After all this how can they STOLE my money and make my account in negative.

This is third time they did this to me. Initially when I submitted tickets/complain, they told me that they are helpless. Previously amount was small so I left it as it.

But this time amount is very BIG for me.

Enough is Enough. They crossed the limit and gave me a headache. I am highly disappointed and very much stressed.

I have all the proof what they did to me.

I am not getting what to do, please any one guide me how can SUE them (address - Freelancer
Level 20, 680 George Street, Sydney Australia), their CEO "Matt Barrie " and their CFO Neil Katz in court or take legal actions against them online.

Freelancer.com limited account

I asked a friend to add funds to my account using his credit card on 19th April as I don't own a credit card of my own and I had a deal with him that I will pay him off in cash. on 26th April I received a Freelancer banner that my account is limited. I paid more than half the amount to him in cash. Upon asking my friend he said the payment that was pending, he chargedback as I failed to pay him.
Moreover, He cancelled out his credit card services from the bank and is no longer in possession of that card or its rights. So he can't release the funds. Which freelancer wants him to release.
Now I'm left with nothing and my account is limited. My money that was in the account which are around 300 British pounds are still there and I can do nothing with them. I can't withdraw them. I can't make and hire people for projects.
I have provided verification. My account is still not accessible.
I want to withdraw funds from my account. I would like freelancer to resolve this matter. If nothing can be done I would like the remaining balance in my account to be sent to me. I would be really grateful to you.
