The breaks needed replacing and my remote start stopped working 1 week after my service with Friendly Ford
The breaks needed replacing and my remote start stopped working 1 week after my service with Friendly Ford. I had to take it to Ford County where they told me the 2017 F 250 has a recall as well on my vehicle. I had to pay another $150.
We had an extended warranty and they made us pay for a rental car, even though it was supposed to be covered
We had an extended warranty and they made us pay for a rental car, even though it was supposed to be covered. We had to shell out $220 for a service that should have been included in the warranty. They kept our truck for 5 days and we had to cough up $120 for a rental car. To top it off, when they finally returned our truck, it was covered in dirty fluids from the mechanics.
There's been a recall on our ride since April
There's been a recall on our ride since April. We've been tryin' to bring it to the dealership, but they say we gotta leave it there and they won't be able to fix it for at least a week. Now we're havin' more problems with the car, and it's makin' us worried 'cause it just stops runnin'. We bought a service and warranty package, but we can't even use it. This car is from 2021 and has less than *** miles on it.

Leased a 2021 Ford F150 truck on May 18
Leased a 2021 Ford F150 truck on May 18. Air conditioner went out on May 19. Brought the truck back and they said it was just a hose. On September 14, the air conditioner died while driving in 102-degree heat. Called service at least five times, trying to get someone to service the truck. They kept transferring me to voicemail and said they can't guarantee I could get it fixed. I believed they knew this truck was defective and leased it to me anyway, putting me and my family at risk in the desert heat. The average temperature here in Las Vegas is between 90 and 110 degrees in the summer.
I got my car fixed at Friendly Ford from 11/24 to 12/03
I got my car fixed at Friendly Ford from 11/24 to 12/03. The invoice number is W94344. In August this year, I noticed a leak under my car and took it to a nearby *** dealer. They told me that the issue was a leaky seal on the Power Take Off unit, which happened because of a faulty repair done by Friendly Ford. I tried reaching out to Friendly Ford multiple times, gave them the name of the local *** dealer, and shared the pictures provided by that dealer. However, I haven't heard back from Friendly Ford till now, despite leaving messages for the Service Manager.
They're trying to overcharge me!
They're trying to overcharge me! They said I gotta buy a $1400 flywheel or my car won't even run. But I found the same flywheel online for only $400. They claim they ain't charging for labor yet, but I haven't finished the deal yet. A few weeks ago, I brought my car in 'cause the clutch went out. They wanted a whopping $2567 to replace it. I reluctantly agreed, but then they hit me with another $1100 to change the catalytic converter. I told 'em it's still under warranty and they should fix it for free. I even showed 'em the receipt from when it was replaced in 2019 at a Ford dealer. My car has been stuck there for weeks, and now they're tellin' me I need a flywheel 'cause it's cracked. They've already torn my car apart, so they won't give it back unless I cough up $1400 for an OEM flywheel. They claim there won't be any labor charges 'cause it ain't needed. But I found the same flywheel online for only $250-$400. Can you believe it?
Friendly Ford put me on a blacklist because I complained about a service in a survey they sent me
Friendly Ford put me on a blacklist because I complained about a service in a survey they sent me. In January , I went to the dealer to get the engine oil changed in my F150. I also asked the service representative to check for an oil leak and give me an estimate for the cost of fixing it if it wasn't too expensive. They did the oil change but didn't check for the oil leak. When I received the car, I asked about the leak and the representative told me that they didn't check it. If I wanted it checked, I would have to pay for the inspection and leave my car for more time. I asked the technician why they didn't inform me about this before the service, so I could decide whether or not to proceed. I complained about this in the customer satisfaction survey they sent me.
I made an appointment for last Saturday (9/5) under my name to get the engine oil changed in my son's Mustang. When the service person asked for my name and checked their system, they informed me that they couldn't provide any service to me because I'm on Friendly Ford's blacklist. This is a poor business practice. They blacklisted me because the technician didn't do their job correctly, and I respectfully complained about it in the survey they sent me.
Too many problems for a brand new car
Too many problems for a brand new car. The Ford I bought in March , a Ford Transit 350 XLT, is amazing but of poor quality. My bad experience started with a small screw on the panel. I took it to be fixed, but they returned the car without even touching it. So, I had to bring it back after a week, and this time there was another problem. The passenger glass only goes down, not up. They fixed both problems this time, but to my surprise, the engine light turned on the next day. I checked the codes and wondered how a brand new car with only 11,500 miles and 1 year of use could have so many issues. But the problems didn't end there. I have complained to the Ford body shop 3 or 4 times about the body panel sealer melting all over the car. I understand that Vegas is hot, but I have 4 other cars, Hondas and Toyotas, and they don't have any melting issues after 1, 4, and 8 years of use. I have been trying to use the warranty, but they say Ford doesn't approve the service because the melting shouldn't happen. But it is happening, so why is it my problem? I am really disappointed with the Ford dealer. I hope this complaint helps other customers make a decision when they need to buy a new car. I also hope that Ford learns a lesson and fixes these issues. Thanks.
I got my truck back on August 25th and paid around $5,900 to get a radiator core support welded and my car put back together
I got my truck back on August 25th and paid around $5,900 to get a radiator core support welded and my car put back together. I had an accident and tried to fix the truck myself. Since the radiator core support is no longer made, it was hard to find. So, I called Friendly Ford, the dealership, for help. I gave them the truck in the middle of June, and when I got the invoice, I noticed that I was charged for some things that weren't actually installed. This caused my engine to malfunction. They charged me for coolant, but when I drove the truck for only 0.6 miles after picking it up, it overheated and caused the transmission to burn out and the engine to get damaged. There was no coolant in the engine at all, even though I was charged for it. They also charged me for a new battery, but it wasn't put in either. I contacted the dealership, and they said that the car was brought to them in pieces. They weren't helpful, and they told me to go to a mechanic. My truck doesn't move now because of the transmission problems caused by the lack of coolant. It was a mistake that they charged me for it on the invoice, and unfortunately, it led to these problems. I had to tow it to Amco, and they said the transmission needed to be rebuilt and the engine had severe overheating. I called the service manager again, and they basically said they don't usually work on cars like mine and that they would scold the guys. I still haven't gotten a solution, and I attached the invoice. After spending $5,900, my car is still broken down, I have no car to drive, and my job has been affected. I never argued about the price and have been very patient. Because of the damage to my engine and transmission, I want a refund for the repairs and my truck replaced at a fair price.
My experience at Friendly Ford was not great
My experience at Friendly Ford was not great. I had to wait for a whole month to get my car repaired. I told them about five different issues, like problems with acceleration and the on-screen computer not working with my iPhone's Waze app. I also needed scheduled maintenance, and the backseat headrest and window switches were not functioning properly. When they finally called me to bring in my car for repairs, they gave me a small loaner vehicle. But then they told me that I couldn't get a loaner from Friendly Ford anymore and that I had to rent a car from Enterprise instead.
My car stayed in the shop for a whole month, and when they called me to pick it up, they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. But the headrest was still broken, the buttons were still peeling, and they hadn't done the scheduled maintenance. The acceleration problem was still there too. This was a clear violation of my warranty agreement. I talked to the financing department about it, and they said they would have the service manager call me back. A few days later, I got a message from customer service saying my car was being serviced, but they didn't give me a specific time for the repair.
When I went back to the dealership, I spoke to the finance manager again and asked to cancel my extended warranty. They took my car in that day to fix the headrest and do the scheduled maintenance. They also repaired the buttons, but they didn't work on the acceleration issue. They told me it was normal for the computer to take time to accelerate. I had to wait for about half an hour to get help. When I finally spoke to someone, they told me that Friendly Ford was going to deduct about $400 or more from my warranty amount. I asked why, since it was an extended warranty that I hadn't used yet. I had a 3-year warranty on the car before the extended warranty kicked in. But they couldn't give me any paperwork to explain it.
They tricked me with a truck they advertised online
They tricked me with a truck they advertised online. Then they tried to sell me a different truck with a smaller engine. I saw a black F-150 sport 4x4 truck with a 3.3L V6 for $35,000. I gave my contact info and Beverly, the internet sales manager, contacted me. She said we needed an application to get started. She emailed me the online application. Then, over the next few days, a salesperson named Peter worked with me. He made me jump through hoops giving them information they already had. Later, they said I needed a co-signer because of my existing car loan. I told Peter that I paid off the loan. I let him know, and he said their credit department would call my lender to confirm. Peter asked for the loan account number, and I gave it to him. Then he said they needed the last four digits of my social to get the information. I asked him how they didn't have that already since they were working on my new loan. I gave him the information. After two hours of providing what they needed, I got a text from Peter saying, "Unfortunately, the truck you asked about was sold yesterday, but the good news is that Friendly Ford has another truck. It's a beautiful white one with a 2.7L eco boost engine." It wasn't just an inquiry, it was a purchase. I told him no, it had to be black with a 3.3L engine and 4x4. Then I told him to have Beverly call me. She didn't call, so I called her and explained what happened. She didn't seem interested in helping. I told her I knew that bait and switch is a crime, and she said if I didn't put a deposit on it, it's first come first serve. I told her I was approved for that specific truck, and if they knew it was gone yesterday, why did they continue with my purchase and make me pay off another loan? The way they're acting now makes me think the truck was never available. Thank goodness I saved the ad, emails, and text messages. It's wrong to try and sell me a different truck with a smaller engine, no 4x4, and a color they have a lot of.
